Good evening. I am a beauty acupuncturist, Kozue. The other day, I stopped by a cake shop in Nishi Taishido. I had been curious about a shop called Patisserie Bregier for a while. This shop has quite a high hurdle as it is only open on weekends. On this day, I happened to pass by during their operating hours, so I decided to buy some cakes. When I visited just before 3 p.m. on a Saturday, I felt like there were probably still about half of the cakes left. The cakes I purchased this time were as follows: Les Chocolat for 500 yen - a cake with a rich chocolate mousse and a sweet Tonka bean mousse with a praline-flavored crispy texture added. Noisette Chocolat for 550 yen - a cake with hazelnut praline mousse and milk chocolate mousse with orange compote. Les Chocolat had a crispy cookie-like layer on top of the chocolate sponge cake, a light white cream, chocolate mousse, and chocolate sauce beautifully coating it. It is a visually appealing cake where you can enjoy various chocolate flavors at once. It had a taste that made you feel like you were truly eating chocolate. Noisette Chocolat had a thin caramel layer on the base sponge, a milk chocolate mousse base with orange compote inside. It also had hazelnut cream with dried orange on top. This one also looked very beautiful. Citrus and chocolate go well together, so I think it's a delicious combination. Both cakes were carefully made and I thought they were very delicate and delicious. They were very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

It took about 20 minutes on foot from Sangenjaya, which might be quicker for men. I walked quite a bit, wondering when I would arrive. When I finally got there, I was really happy. According to Tabelog, they open on weekends from 12:00. The receipt mentioned, "We are open on weekends (Sat, Sun, holidays)." It's a popular sweets shop that doesn't open often. I visited around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and was able to buy without waiting in line. The shop is partially underground, but since there is no ceiling at the entrance, it's bright and welcoming. I chose the Chestnut Cake for ¥260, which had plenty of domestic chestnuts and a hint of rum. I liked the description, so I bought it. It had a pleasant sweetness that paired well with the rum, which also used maple sugar. It was nice to enjoy a sweet treat with domestic chestnuts ahead of autumn. It's located right across from the Daizawa Junction bus stop. Since it was drizzling on the way back, I took this bus to Shibuya, the final stop. I know I need to burn calories since I'm eating from the top 100 sweets shops, so I try to walk. But the bus was convenient!

Limited to the two-day Peach Fair. Peach Shortcake is a safe choice. Peach Feather is like a peach rare cheesecake, perfect for summer! It was refreshing, with a balance of tartness and mild sweetness in the rare cheesecake, enhanced by the juicy sweetness of the peach. The crispy base added a satisfying texture, making it a truly satisfying dish. The cute shape makes it a must-have during the summer! Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is not open regularly on weekends, but rather on irregular days, making it difficult to visit when desired. This time, I finally found a day that matched my schedule for a weekend sweets activity in the Sangenjaya area! I walked from Bonedan in Mishuku to here... I was walking while looking at the map, but wait, did I pass it? Oh, it's not open yet. I lined up in the pole position, and soon the line behind me grew longer, with about 10 groups in line by opening time. And they opened. The mango cake that caught my eye first was a must-buy! Premium Shortcake for 1,000 yen. The mango cake. The mango itself didn't seem fully ripe, but perhaps they intentionally used one with a bit of acidity. The whipped cream was not that rich... I wonder why. Mont Blanc for 650 yen. They squeeze the cream on after you order. Despite the heat, when I got home, the top part had shifted a bit, but when I tasted it... it was truly delicious. The Mont Blanc cream is rich, the inside chantilly cream is not too sweet, and the meringue base balances it all out. A simple and delicious Mont Blanc. I love it! Le Chocolat for 520 yen. It was as delicious as expected. It's rare to find a cake like this chocolate one that stands out as exceptionally tasty. Anniversary Macaron for 650 yen. A large macaron with peach compote inside! Delicious! The macaron shell is not overly sweet, which is nice. The buttercream is also delicious. I cut it in half and enjoyed it. Baked goods: Diamant Vanille for 560 yen, Cake aux Marrons for 260 yen, Financier for 230 yen, Madeleine for 230 yen. They are all delicious. Due to the heat, I store them in the refrigerator at home and let them come to room temperature before eating. I didn't particularly like the mango one, but since I prefer classic cakes, I'd like to try others.

This cake shop nearby is known for its incredibly delicious Mont Blanc cake. Their specialty "freshly squeezed Mont Blanc" is squeezed right after ordering, and luckily I can enjoy it at home soon after, allowing me to taste the fresh and rich flavor of chestnuts. It's the best!

A popular sweets shop in Sangenjaya. Despite the incredibly high score of 3.94, the simple and modest appearance of the shop took me by surprise, but the taste was truly that of a top-notch establishment! It's about a 15-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station. For someone like me who isn't familiar with the area, it doesn't seem like a very trendy area, passing through residential streets, the shop is located along a moderately busy road. The exterior is not flashy or eye-catching, not resembling a typical sweets shop, almost easy to overlook. However, upon opening the automatic door and descending a few steps to the semi-basement floor, there was a showcase displaying beautifully crafted cakes. The freshly squeezed Mont Blanc (tax-inclusive 650 yen) is a popular specialty. Each one is finished with chestnut paste squeezed after ordering. It's recommended to eat it within an hour, but it might have been 3-4 hours for me. Nevertheless, it was incredibly delicious! I wonder if the taste and texture would be different if consumed within an hour. The PREMIUM Shortcake (tax-inclusive 1,000 yen) may not look impressive in photos, but it's about 1.5 times the size of a typical shortcake. It's like being cut from a large whole cake, not a medium-sized one. The generously cut mangoes on top, plenty of fruits inside, and the elegant and smooth cream make it exquisite! The Flapiss (tax-inclusive 540 yen) is a cute-looking item. While famous sweets shops may have similar products, this one is truly outstanding! The balance and harmony of pistachio and raspberry are excellent, making it not only visually appealing but also delicious. It may be a bit difficult to buy due to its cute heart shape, but it's not too sweet and is recommended for men as well. The opening hours seem to change frequently, and there was information that they close at 5:30 pm, so I rushed in around 4:45 pm on Saturday. There were still plenty of cake varieties available, and it was not crowded. Although there was no sign of closing soon, I forgot to confirm the closing time. The access is not great, and there is no vibrant charm. However, there is a reason why it's so popular. It conveyed a sense of being loved by the locals. It was delicious, and I felt like supporting this shop!

Sweets Hyakumeiten TOKYO 71/100 Located quietly in a residential area about a 15-minute walk from Setagaya Daita, where luxury homes line the streets. Open only on weekends. Visited around 12 noon on a Saturday, with 3 groups of people waiting. A delicious cake shop that faithfully adheres to the basics of traditional style. The photo is of the Special Shortcake Mango @1000, generously topped with mango on a light and fluffy sponge with fresh cream - delicious shortcake. Mont Blanc @650 is made to order. It's delicate, so be careful when taking it home. Squeezed with freshly whipped cream and chestnut paste on a light meringue. The elegant sweetness of Choux a la Creme @450, with delicious custard inside and a rough surface. It was a patisserie that perfected the classic cream puff cake that everyone knows. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Today is the first day of Golden Week! I was invited to a friend's house for dinner, so we decided to go out to eat. For lunch, we went to Tonkatsu Gensui Buta in Sangenjaya and had the amazing Jumbo Tonkatsu Set with three different types of tonkatsu. I'm thinking of buying a cake as a souvenir as well. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station to Patisserie Plaisir! Surprisingly, they are only open on weekends, with their usual days off being Monday to Friday. I arrived around 3 pm on Saturday and there was no line, so we walked right in. They still had a good selection of cakes in the showcase. I decided to go with the seasonal strawberry shortcake, a tarte tatin, and a pudding as souvenirs. We planned to enjoy them as dessert after our meal. The shortcake I chose was classic and simple, with a perfect balance of strawberry tartness, cream sweetness, and sponge cake. It was absolutely delicious! I finished it in no time. If I have the chance to visit again, I would definitely love to go back. Thank you for the meal!

I visited around 3 p.m. The showcase was filled with vibrant cakes that made me excited just by looking at them. I can't remember all the names, but I ordered a berry and pistachio cake, a hyuganatsu cake, and a chocolate mousse cake. The popular Mont Blanc cake had to be consumed within an hour, so I had to give up on that. Each cake had multiple flavors that blended well together, creating a harmonious and well-balanced taste. It felt like a class of high-achieving students with great teamwork! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

- I had the Hyuganatsu Cake, Raspberry and Pistachio Mousse, and Chocolate Mousse. In conclusion, they were incredibly delicious... ◼︎ The Hyuganatsu Mousse on the top layer had fluffy mousse with chunks of Hyuganatsu, a tea-flavored sponge in the middle, and a crispy tart on the bottom. You carefully scoop up this towering cake vertically. It was a nice combination of the bitterness of Hyuganatsu, the sweet mousse, and the crispy tart texture. ◼︎ The Chocolate Mousse is a cake wrapped in a bitter chocolate mousse with chunks of raw chocolate, coated with dark chocolate sauce. I thought it was quite bitter when I took a bite of the outer layer, but when I discovered the hidden raw chocolate and cream in the center, I realized the value of the bitterness. A wonderful balance... ◼︎ The Pistachio Mousse had the perfect intensity of pistachio flavor, making me marvel at the craftsmanship of this top-tier cake shop. It made me feel extremely happy. I once again respected the job of a pastry chef, which creates happiness for people. Thank you for the meal!

I enjoyed the combination of the sweetness of the seasonal shortcake with the juicy melon and whipped cream, but this time the melon seemed a bit underripe. Nevertheless, the whipped cream was delicious as always. It made me appreciate the complexity of working with fruits once again. The portion was small, so I finished it in no time. Thank you for the meal.

After feeling good at Tsukigokoro, we moved to Plesir. I was prepared for it to be quite crowded as they only operate on weekends, but surprisingly we were able to enter the restaurant smoothly. We purchased the following 3 items. The most popular freshly squeezed Mont Blanc uses chestnut paste from Ehime. It was recommended to be consumed within 1 hour, but I ate it about 6 hours later after returning home and taking a nap (;^ω^) The base is meringue, but it's mostly cream and chestnut paste. Sasage and Materiel were delicious too, but this one was equally delicious (゚д゚)ウマー!! However, what surpassed everything was the Pomplemousse Sibust. In the center of the pie crust is a custard-like cream and grapefruit pulp, topped with white chocolate ganache and tea, with a fluffy sibust on top. The pie crust is hard, so it's a bit difficult to eat, but it's wonderful (⑉>ᴗ<ノノ゙✩パチパチパチ♪ The souffle cheesecake is delicious, but compared to the other 2 items, it falls short (;^ω^) I need to find a good nearby restaurant and stop by again on the way back, haha. Freshly squeezed Mont Blanc 650 yen, Pomplemousse Sibust 580 yen, Souffle Cheesecake 470 yen.

I have always loved the Mont Blanc from Préjeur. The restaurant is usually open only on weekends. Since the schedule is irregular, it is necessary to check on Instagram in advance. The Mont Blanc with squeezed chestnuts and cream inside is not too sweet, and the meringue underneath adds a different texture as an accent. The seasonal shortcake melon is also not too sweet and easy to eat.

It's a patisserie right by Daisawa Junction where you can get freshly squeezed Mont Blanc. I ordered it right away and it was indeed delicious with a rich chestnut flavor. The shortcake also had that classic deliciousness. The snow was mostly cream, with more than expected, and towards the end, I was getting slightly tired of it...

Located in Daizawa, this patisserie is a popular spot supported by locals, despite being far from the nearest station and only open on weekends. Their specialty is the "Mont Blanc," where chestnut cream is piped on after ordering. The patisserie opened in December 2007 and is operated by Tribeca Bakery Co., Ltd. The first chef, Yuu Sasage, was highly praised at the time. After Sasage's departure, a second chef took over. Due to reasons like understaffing and expanding business to sister store Fractus, they now operate only on weekends (check Instagram for updates). It's about a 15-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station North Exit, along Chazawa Street, crossing Daizawa Intersection and turning left, on the right side of the third block. The slightly weathered glass-fronted store is also walkable from Shimokitazawa Station. During a visit in March 2012, the reviewer purchased the signature Parfum and Mille-feuille. Most customers order the freshly piped Mont Blanc, the most popular item. The service is friendly and welcoming. The reviewer advises bringing a flat-bottomed bag to maintain the shape of the delicate pastries. The Mont Blanc, made with Ehime chestnut paste, is a must-try, with a light and fluffy texture. The Flapis, another specialty, is a beautiful red heart-shaped cake with a mix of flavors. The Mont Blanc left a lasting impression, even though it's best enjoyed within an hour. Due to limited operating days, the reviewer plans to visit Fractus in Shibuya next time.

I left Sangenchaya Station around 11:45 on a Sunday morning, walked along Chazawa Street, turned at the intersection of Awashima Street, and walked about 2 minutes. I arrived right at 12 o'clock when the restaurant had just opened, so there was some movement of customers. I went in and was seated right away as there were only 3 groups ahead of me. I ordered a cream puff for 450 yen and a tarte tatin for 550 yen, then walked about 10 minutes to a park by a stream to eat. The cream puff was filled with so much cream that it was hard to eat, but incredibly delicious! The tarte tatin had gold leaf on it, and the elegant apples were amazingly tasty - it was a shock! Oh man, it was so delicious! I don't come around this area often, but it's worth going to this shop just for this. It was really good. Thank you for the meal! I'll definitely go again. ^ ^

Today we visited here! It is a particularly popular patisserie in Setagaya, a fierce battleground for sweets. Although the access is not great, it takes about a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest station. The quickest way would be by bus, but I'm not good at using buses for the first time, so I visited on foot via a curry shop from Sangenjaya Station. I had prepared for the possibility of long lines on weekends as they are only open on Saturdays and Sundays, but on this Saturday after 12 o'clock, there were about 4 groups waiting ahead of us. Since I had a tight schedule afterwards, I was relieved. Now, everything looks incredibly delicious. Considering that buying just one item was my quality limit due to my schedule after this, after careful consideration... I chose the freshly squeezed Mont Blanc for 650 yen/tax included, the most popular item here. It is a Mont Blanc made with freshly squeezed cream and chestnut paste from Ehime Prefecture. It was recommended to eat it within an hour, so we enjoyed it within the time frame. First, the chestnut paste is plentiful and very rich. It is rich, but there is no strange sweetness or heaviness, and the naturally sweet and creamy chestnut flavor comes through. The cream is refreshing yet has a milky richness. However, the most surprising part was the meringue crust. I used to prefer tart crusts for Mont Blanc, but the meringue crust here dissolves in your mouth with a delicate melting sensation. The base meringue crust had a sweetness reminiscent of sugar confectionery, but it was completely different here. It didn't interfere with the chestnut flavor, but rather, it was an essential element that made you want to eat it together. Thank you for the meal. Choosing the Mont Blanc was definitely the right decision. It's reasonably priced with domestic chestnuts. It was one of the best Mont Blancs I've ever had! I definitely want to try other cakes next time. *Visit rating → 3.95

Tamashima Street is a road I used to frequent when I lived in Setagaya. In the back of the shop, I could see several pastry chefs busy making cakes. Despite my hesitation, I ended up ordering the "Freshly Squeezed Mont Blanc." After placing my order, they carefully topped the Mont Blanc with cream one by one. I made sure to bring it home safely without disturbing it. Takeout provides a delightful moment. The Mont Blanc has a fluffy texture and is not overly sweet. The crispy meringue at the bottom provides a nice balance. Fans will be pleased that despite being well-made, it is reasonably priced at 650 yen.

I went to a rumored cake shop that is only open on weekends and sometimes for about 4 days a month. When I arrived around 12:30, there were a few customers. There were rows of adorable cakes. Although there were some new items, I chose the classic ones since it was my first time there. - Flapiss A cute heart-shaped cake. Pistachio mousse wrapped in a bright red berry sauce. The bouncy texture on the surface was charming. All the cakes were delicious, but if I had to choose, this one was my favorite. - Royal Tea cake that had received many good reviews. Highly fragrant, with a strong tea flavor. The sophisticated appearance was cool. - Noazetto Chocolat Orange compote-filled chocolate cake. Not too heavy for a chocolate cake, with a gentle acidity from the orange. The sponge was softly subdued. Each cake had a smooth mousse that melted in the mouth. Elegant yet rich flavors. It's hard to pick the best one, they were all delicious. It seems like you can't go wrong with any purchase. The quality is impressive. Both the taste and appearance are excellent. And yet, the prices are surprisingly affordable. It seems like this shop is the one behind the popular store "FRUCTUS" in Shibuya Scramble Square. I remember FRUCTUS being delicious too. Especially the pistachio cake.
