The parent company is a construction company in Eniwa. During the slow winter season, they do strawberry picking at a nearby farm. They offer Tochiotome strawberries for takeout at 1,300 yen per pack (100g for 300 yen). The farm is like a backyard, with only a glimpse of the greenhouses from the main road. I visited out of curiosity after hearing about it in the media. The farm closes when strawberries run out, so it's best to visit early. The "OPEN" sign was at the entrance. The day I visited, it was open. The farm is currently only offering takeout due to COVID-19. The entrance fee is 1,800 yen for elementary school students and above (January 7 to late March), and 1,500 yen (early April to late May). The Tochiotome strawberry packs cost 200 yen per 100g for visitors and 300 yen per 100g for non-visitors. Strawberry picking is currently suspended due to health department guidelines. The staff kindly offered a visit without picking strawberries. The owner picked fresh strawberries for us to take home. He weighed them and apologized for the higher price due to the weight. The strawberries were juicy and delicious. The owner was very friendly. I plan to come back for their cup ice cream. By the way, Spal Construction is currently hiring full-time civil engineers and heavy equipment operators. Thank you for the meal.

It's a place in Kasagi-cho, Eniwa City, near the intersection of the old National Route 36 and the Doi Eniwa Ebetsu Line. Check the exact location on the map on Tabelog as usual. I saw on a local TV show the other day that there is a facility where you can go strawberry picking, so I decided to visit the shop. I arrived at the shop, parked my car in the front parking lot, and went inside. The prices were a bit high, so since I was already somewhat full from lunch, I decided to buy some strawberries for takeout. It was 300 yen per 100g, so I asked the staff for about 1,000 yen worth of fully ripe strawberries. I waited for the strawberries to arrive, and while waiting, I entered the greenhouse, which was warm like early summer. After about 5 minutes, a box of bright red strawberries arrived, weighing 310g and costing 930 yen. I paid and left the shop. Back at home, I had the strawberries for dessert at dinner. The strawberries were red and looked delicious. Some were the typical sweet white inside, but the ones that were fully ripe all the way to the center were incredibly sweet, surprising me. Overall, the strawberries ripened in the greenhouse were fresh and delicious. I would like to buy them again when I have the chance, especially on a sunny day following good weather for even sweeter strawberries.
