This is a famous local shop that I don't often visit. It's not that I don't like it, in fact, I love it (lol). It's always crowded, and if I go, I end up buying things I shouldn't, so I usually pretend to forget about it and live my life (lol). This time, a friend tempted me with food talk (lol). While doing some research, I got sidetracked and found a passionate diary of a Rokkatei fan. They told me about it, and now I'm feeling hungry in the middle of the night (lol). The branch I'm talking about is located in a residential area in Nishi-Obihiro, and compared to the main store and the Nishi-Sanjo branch in Obihiro city, it seems to have a higher percentage of local customers. Facing the busy Keibajo Street, they have succeeded in giving a quiet impression by setting up a fence and greenery in the courtyard. The clean interior is quiet, so maybe soundproofing has been done. In the cafe attached to the confectionery shop (it can't be called a cafe, not a coffee shop, just a cafe... the atmosphere is unique), you can enjoy seasonal sweets and pizza. The limited edition pizza from January to February 2021 was shrimp and trefoil. I love trefoil! I also love shrimp! It's finished lightly with a special sauce, as mentioned on the official website. As someone who doesn't eat out often, if I'm too slow, the menu items will disappear! I went flying with the friend who dragged me into the food talk. The last order is at 3:30 pm. I often forget and rush there, only to find it closed (lol). There are many things that interest me, like the beef stew, but the most intriguing seasonal menu includes: - Shrimp and trefoil pizza - Onion soup in a pie crust - Hot cheesecake. The soup is piping hot, and the pizza is crispy and fragrant. When you smell the good butter, it feels like THE Rokkatei! The onion soup had a lot of onions, the taste was normal, but it might be good as an appetizer. And just as the pizza didn't arrive, the dessert cheesecake came! Since it was cold season, it was nice and warm. It was fluffy and fluffy. The taste was normal, maybe the cheese and lemon flavors were slightly conflicting...? Perhaps I felt the lemon scent more strongly because it was warm? This subtle balance is also a unique combination that you won't find in other stores. Rokkatei, I don't think cheesecake is your specialty (⌒-⌒; ) Next time, I think I'll try a different dessert, but by the time I revisit, I'll probably have forgotten and ordered it again (lol). "Mansaku," which has recently undergone a transformation from Japanese sweets to Western sweets, using lemon-scented madeleines, was delicious. The strawberry parfait I've had a few times before was also delicious. The small portion is perfect for someone like me who shouldn't eat too many sweets. The quality of the whipped cream is good, and the fact that it's not too much is nice. With plenty of seasonal fruits, it's quite healthy. The summer limited parfait with fresh large blueberries was very delicious (^O^) Now, even after finishing the cake, the pizza still hasn't arrived. Huh? As we waited, they apologized and gave us each a Marusei biscuit. It seems there was a mistake in the order. These biscuits, which cost around 70 yen, have a nice aroma and taste delicious. It says "Made without shortening" in big letters. Yes, using real butter and such increases the cost of raw materials. However, despite being inexpensive, 40% of all sales are covered by the Marusei Butter Sandwich... Other sweets are almost sold at a loss...!! Σ('◉⌓◉') Rokkatei is known for its strict employee training. The tension that permeates the entire store is what makes Rokkatei the Rokkatei that we common people know (lol). With the design of the store aiming for a compromise between closure and liberation, and the strategic naming of the confectionery deliberately aiming for tackiness, it occupies a very unique position.
