I arrived at the restaurant around 11:20 am on a weekday. There were no other customers yet, so I was the first one there. By the time they opened, there were already many customers. I heard that curry prices have gone up by 100 yen starting this month. I ordered the triple chicken curry, tomato curry, cabbage and coconut curry with extra rice, and also an iced chai. The chicken curry was quite spicy, making me break out in sweat. It had three large, tender pieces of chicken. It was the spiciest and most traditional curry. The tomato curry had a refreshing acidity that is perfect for the rainy season. I loved the chunky, soft eggplants in it. The cabbage and coconut curry was mild and sweet, offering a completely different flavor compared to the others. I highly recommend trying all three for a variety of tastes. The iced chai didn't have much spice but provided a refreshing break between the hot curries. All the curries were hot, and the rice portion was unexpectedly generous. Despite the 100 yen increase, this place offers affordable and delicious curries with great portions. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

About a 5-minute walk from JR Kanda Station. Arrived 15 minutes before the lunch opening. There were about 5 customers at the opening with no waiting time. Ordered 3 types of curry for 1200 yen plus a large serving for an extra 100 yen. Both the curry and rice had more than expected portions, and the cost performance was good. -Cabbage Coconut Curry: The sweetness of the cabbage stands out, and the flavor of coconut is nice. Not too spicy, but has a good spiciness. Personally, my favorite. -Chicken Curry: A watery type with three large chicken pieces. Among these, it has the most spiciness. -Eggplant and Tomato Curry: Quite sour, might be a curry that divides preferences. It tasted good when mixed with the above curries. Enjoyed until the end. Thank you for the meal.

A few minutes' walk from Kanda Station. Located on the 5th floor of a mixed-use building, this place has an entrance that looks like a quaint snack bar. I arrived at 11:35 and managed to get a seat on the first round. The person who came at 11:40 had to wait about 15 minutes to get in. Many solo diners here. Upon entering, you are greeted by the wonderful aroma of spices. I ordered the double chicken and zucchini curry for 1100 yen. It was served in about 10 minutes. Surprisingly, the curry didn't have a strong spice scent. It seemed like it was simmered for a long time. The taste was very gentle. The chicken had a nice level of spiciness and chunky pieces. The zucchini added a refreshing touch to the summer curry. The green raisins served as a nice accent and paired well with the curry. It was delicious!

【Restaurant】 Budo-ya【Location】 Tokyo/Kanda Station【Order】 ◇ Double (2 types) ◇ Nastomato Curry ◇ Cabbage Coconut Curry【Impressions】 Both curries have a strong spice flavor. ◇ Nastomato Curry has a strong coriander flavor. Quite spicy. ◇ Cabbage Coconut Curry has a sweet cabbage taste. Easy to eat with a sweet flavor. Gives a summery coconut vibe.【Others】 Lunch curry is only available on weekdays from 11:30 am. They stop serving when the rice runs out. It seems that the rice can run out around 12:30 pm. It's a popular restaurant, isn't it?

This restaurant is located a short walk from Kanda Station. I ordered the Double Curry for 1200 yen on this day, with a combination of chicken and eggplant curry. The taste was as expected, delicious! The seasoning is relatively light, but the spices are strong, making you sweat as you eat. In addition to the Double Curry, there are several other menu options, so choose according to your preference. The restaurant has around 20 seats, and it is located on the 5th floor of a building, so take the elevator up. Curry is only served during lunchtime, and there may be a wait during busy hours, so visit with some extra time. It was delicious! I will definitely go again. Thank you for the meal!

#Curry #Kanda #Budoshu Arrived at 11:30, only two people inside the restaurant. Ordered a chicken and tomato combo. The chicken was mildly spicy, while the tomato was rich and spicy. When I first came at night, I was coldly told, "We don't have curry," and felt disappointed, but this time during lunch, we were warmly welcomed. Thank you for the meal!

The curry comes in 3 types: chicken cream, bean, and eggplant tomato, which you choose from 4 options. Getting all 3 costs 1200 yen. Unfortunately, the coconut curry was sold out. I arrived after 12 pm on a weekday, but by 12:30 pm, they were already sold out of curry. All the curries are spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. They have a refreshing spiciness that feels good in the mouth, throat, and stomach. I usually find spiced curries too intense, but these were easy to eat. The eggplant tomato curry had tender vegetables with a nice kick of spice. The bean curry had chunky beans and was also spicy. The chicken cream curry had about 3 pieces of breast meat and was lighter compared to the others. All were delicious, and I was surprised it only cost 1200 yen.

Visited the restaurant at 11:40 on Wednesday. It was 30% full. I was interested in the cabbage coconut curry. Except for chicken, it's 100% vegetable. I wanted to try as many varieties as possible, so I ordered three types. ▶︎Ordered items▫︎ Triple ¥1,200⭐︎ Varieties: Cabbage coconut, beans, chicken◎ Cabbage: I couldn't help but say "delicious" in my mind. The sweetness of the cabbage is condensed, with a perfect spice flavor and richness, hardly any spiciness.◎ Beans: Sweetness of the beans with a nice spice flavor, slightly spicy.◎ Chicken: Flavor with a tangy taste, the meat is tender, spiciness is well balanced. The side dish is a small grape, which seems to be related to the restaurant's name. Cabbage curry was even more delicious than I imagined. The curry with beans and cabbage is delicious enough on its own, and goes well with alcohol. It seems to operate as an izakaya in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, my workplace was in Nihonbashi, and I decided to have lunch here on the 5th floor of a mixed-use building near Kanda, just a short walk away. It's truly a typical mixed-use building! When I arrived right at the 11:30 opening time, there were about 3-4 groups of customers already there. The interior has a lot of character and is quite spacious, so there was no line at this time. The somewhat wild-looking master and a young male assistant run the place. The young man takes orders in the order of arrival. The lunch menu is extremely simple, with a choice of 1, 2, or 3 out of 5 curry options. On this day, the options were chicken, nastomato, beans, cabbage, and zucchini – a healthy lineup! I chose chicken, nastomato, and cabbage. The dishes arrived quite quickly, in about 6-7 minutes. I tried each curry, and they truly had distinct flavors. The cabbage had a gentle taste with coconut coming through prominently. The nastomato had a strong tomato flavor, almost like an Italian tomato sauce with added acidity and spice, refreshing and light. My favorite was the chicken curry, with a herbal quality and spiciness – incredibly delicious! By the way, mixing the cabbage and tomato on the rice was a perfect match. The portion size was just right. At 1200 yen for 3 curries in these times, it's quite reasonable. The place is on the 5th floor of a sizeable mixed-use building, with an interior resembling a Western-style pub with character. The master and staff have a wild vibe (though not intimidating or scary), yet many female customers, including solo diners, were there for lunch. With the healthy options and value for money, it's no wonder it's popular with women. I definitely want to try their evening pub menu as well! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

This is a restaurant that operates as a curry lunch spot during the day and an izakaya at night. They offer 5 types of curry, with the cabbage coconut curry and chicken curry combination costing 1,100 yen. The chicken thigh pieces are chunky and satisfying, not too small after being simmered. The chicken curry has a subtle spiciness, while the coconut curry is quite mild. The richness of the coconut curry with a hint of sweetness from the cabbage creates a nice balance of flavors. Instead of typical sides like pickles, they serve seedless peeled grape marinated. Climbing up the stairs to the 5th floor may be a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it. #TokyoGourmet #TokyoCurry #TokyoIndianCurry #KandaGourmet #KandaLunch #KandaCurry #Budoshu #ConnectingWithGourmetPeople #ConnectingWithCurryLovers #tokyocurry #tokyospicecurry #kandacurry #kandalunch #currylovers #spicecurrylovers

Visited on Friday at 11:20 PM. Located on the 5th floor of an old mixed-use building that doesn't seem to house a restaurant. Upon taking the elevator, there were two other customers ahead. The spacious interior was about half full at opening, so there may not be a need to line up too early. The calm, wooden interior resembled a mountain hut. Opted for the Triple set to fully enjoy the experience since it's not always possible to visit. Priced at 1,200 yen, it allows you to choose three out of four curry options. The curries were generously portioned, with plenty of sauce. While it's common to savor every last bit of the sauce in curries, here there was quite a surplus, allowing me to finish with just the sauce. This was quite considerate. Each curry had its own level of spiciness, with the Chicken Curry being the most classic and flavorful. It had a good amount of spices and a light consistency. The Tomato Curry had a unique tanginess from the tomatoes, adding to its deliciousness. The Coconut Curry was sweet and served as a nice contrast to the spicier curries. Although the spiciness was within my tolerance, it might be on the spicier side for those who don't enjoy very spicy food. Initially, the customers were mostly businessmen, but later on, quite a few women also started coming in. I believe this is a place that can be recommended to women as well.

In Shinbashi and Kanda, bustling with middle-aged salarymen during lunchtime, I headed to a curry restaurant in Kanda amidst the lunchtime rush. The place offers four types of curry - single, mixed, or a selection of three. Today, I chose the mixed curry with chicken, tomato, okra, and mung bean, priced at 1200 yen. The restaurant is known for its vegetable curries, with only the chicken curry containing meat. Each curry arrived in separate bowls, with generous portions. The chicken curry had a well-balanced spice level, while the tomato curry lacked richness without meat. The okra and mung bean curry was a delight for okra lovers, with a gentle and not oily taste. With extra curry sauce, I adjusted the rice to finish the meal.

Located just a few minutes from JR Kanda Station South Exit in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, this popular curry restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 curry restaurants in the fierce curry battleground. It's important to note that they only operate during lunch hours for curry, as they turn into an izakaya in the evenings. If you try to enter for curry at night, you won't be allowed in without ordering alcohol. The menu includes Camembert cheese appetizer, coconut cabbage curry, bean curry, and daily specials like salad spaghetti and nikujaga. The nikujaga is sweet and savory, with tender potatoes, while both the coconut cabbage curry and Indian curry are very spicy yet rich in flavor, allowing you to savor the sweetness of the vegetables. They also offer aged shochu from Koshu Brewery in Hioki City, Kagoshima, with a chocolate-like sweetness and mellow aroma. It's recommended to enjoy it on the rocks to fully appreciate the fragrance. The restaurant used to offer a product called Melo Cozul 43% which the master greatly admired, but it's now discontinued, leaving fans disappointed. If you spot this elusive drink somewhere, be sure to let fellow foodies know!

I arrived near Kanda on a weekday at 11:35 at this popular restaurant on the 5th floor. The elevator was slow, so I ran up the stairs to the 5th floor. The entrance rate was about 30%, with plenty of space right after opening. I ordered from the menu board in front and received a double (2 types) curry in about 10 minutes, tax included for 1,100 yen. The double curry, as the name suggests, allows you to choose 2 types of curry. The first was Chicken Curry, with a deep flavor from spicy spices and delicious chunks of chicken. The second was Nasu Tomato Curry, which I preferred. It's recommended - a tomato-based curry with plenty of eggplant, providing a satisfying texture. Spicy yet mild with tomatoes, both tomatoes and eggplants were in season, which was nice. The interior of the restaurant was a bit dim and had a bar-like atmosphere. Solo diners sit at large tables and share them. Despite being advertised as a popular restaurant, there was no wait until 12:00. Each table had a bottle of water, so it was convenient. From entering to finishing the meal took 30 minutes. Payment is cash only. The curry was of high quality.

Today's lunch was at Budoshaya. I ordered the following: Chicken Curry Set for 1200 yen. I chose the vegetable curries - one with tomato and the other with cabbage coconut curry. The chicken curry had three large, juicy, and tender pieces of chicken. The curry was thin with a gentle umami flavor and richness. The cabbage coconut curry, made without water, had a delicious sweetness from the cabbage and coconut with just the right amount of spice. The eggplant and tomato curry was a balance between the other two, with a rich umami flavor that felt like the tomatoes were bursting in your mouth. Each curry had its unique characteristics and was incredibly well-made. Finally, I mixed everything with rice (also delicious). It was a delightful meal. Thank you.

Lunch exploration in the Kanda area. Located on the 5th floor of a building a little off Nihonbashi Street. I had the Chicken Curry and Eggplant Tomato Curry Double for 1,100 yen and a Chai (Iced) for 100 yen here. I've visited this area before and had the spicy curry at Honseki Tei. After reading past reviews and bookmarking, I had the chance to visit. Taking the elevator up from the 2nd floor to the 5th floor, the interior was larger than I expected. The open kitchen setup allowed me to see the cooking area. The staff explained the curry selection, so I ordered the Chicken and Eggplant Tomato double that I was curious about. It was served in about 5 minutes. Past reviews mentioned that the Eggplant Tomato curry had too strong of a tomato acidity, but I personally enjoyed it. While there is indeed tomato acidity, the balance with the spices is good. If the curry was too sweet, it would resemble Hayashi Rice, but it had a good spice level. The Chicken Curry had chunky chicken pieces and felt a bit light on the sauce. It also had a good spice level and a completely different taste from the Eggplant Tomato, so I enjoyed each separately without mixing. Perhaps due to being well-cooked, the sharpness of the spices was mellow, and there was no overwhelming heat. Finally, I finished with a fragrant Ice Chai with cinnamon and cardamom. Thank you for the meal.
