I chose this restaurant in Osaka because someone who had taken care of me came all the way to visit. I thought I could gather a variety of Sapporo-like sake and dishes here, and I was not only satisfied with the guest's satisfaction, but also with myself. From classic Sapporo beers to various brands of Chitosetsuru sake, and exclusive draft sake that can only be tasted here... it's a delight for sake lovers. Being able to compare different drinks is also nice. The surprise was getting to enjoy live oysters (from Akkeshi) which I thought were only available in autumn! I enjoyed both raw and grilled oysters. The sashimi platter was also enhanced with octopus, and they were flexible with requests. The seating allowed for a leisurely 2 and a half hours, making it suitable for entertaining, events, anniversaries, and of course, regular use. It was a great restaurant experience!

I was on a business trip to Sapporo. I heard from locals that even on weekdays after the pandemic, it's becoming difficult to secure reservations at restaurants. Despite that, I visited the directly managed Chitose Tsuru. The option of all-you-can-drink for individual items is very much appreciated. I had the grilled cherry salmon. It seems that the cherry salmon is frozen once to make it into grilled cherry salmon. Of course, I also had Sapporo beer. It was delicious.

We visited this place for our second stop in Susukino, which is conveniently close to our hotel. Despite the upscale appearance of the establishment, it turned out to be a casual restaurant. The onion and asparagus salad was a dish that truly showcased the flavors of Hokkaido, and the portion was sufficient for two people. The peony shrimp was fresh and juicy, while the squid sashimi was also delicious. As it is a store directly managed by Chitose Tsuru, the drink selection was impressive. This is a place worth visiting as a second stop. Thank you for the meal.

We went on a Monday at 5:30 pm with 4 people, had a reservation, no wait. The total cost for 4 people was around 35,000 yen. We wanted to eat crab, sea urchin, and salmon roe during our trip to Hokkaido, so we made reservations in advance and went. The crab was really meaty and delicious! The sea urchin melted in my mouth as soon as I ate it. Every dish was delicious! The staff's service was also good, making it a pleasant trip. Thank you for the meal!

I randomly found this place and it turned out to be a great choice! The buttered potatoes were especially delicious. I highly recommend them! I was a bit worried that the asparagus and new onion salad would be too oniony with all the onions, but it was actually really tasty without being too spicy. The fried chicken was also one of the best I've had in Hokkaido recently!

This is a Hokkaido cuisine restaurant operated by the only sake brewery in Sapporo, "Chitose Tsuru". The sashimi was fresh, and the stir-fried and grilled seafood dishes were delicious. They offer over 10 types of sake made by the brewery, and the menu clearly indicates the relative spiciness and richness of each. The sake, priced at around 1,000 yen per glass, was delicious. I think this is a good restaurant for those who want to try a wide variety of Hokkaido cuisine.

In Sapporo's Susukino area, I made a reservation in advance for a bustling izakaya where all the tables were fully booked. We enjoyed dishes like squid sashimi and drank plenty of Japanese sake. There were quite a few group customers, but it was still lively. Today's lunch was filling, so we opted for something lighter.

I was taken to this restaurant by a friend who lives in Sapporo, and I thoroughly enjoyed the local sake and the blessings of the northern sea in Sapporo. The sake was truly amazing, and the Hokkaido-style dishes were satisfying. It's just a regular izakaya, but I really liked the Hokkaido vibe.

I visited the snow festival on the last day. Despite making a reservation two days in advance, we were able to use a spacious private room for two people. For someone who visited Hokkaido for the first time, it was a restaurant with a menu that felt very "Hokkaido-like" and everything was delicious. The staff were also very friendly, making me want to go back again.

This is a shop run by the Sapporo Tsuru Sake Brewery. You can enjoy delicious seafood dishes unique to Hokkaido and a variety of flavors of Japanese sake from the brewery. This time, I chose the Kinmedai hot pot course for 8,500 yen. The sashimi platter with button shrimp, plump Tachi tempura, and finally the Kinmedai hot pot. The pot that was brought out already had a hint of fat floating on top. The soy sauce-based seasoning melted in the mouth, spreading the taste of high-quality fat throughout. The porridge was also perfect. Reservations are a must. Thank you for the delicious meal.

An old man drank in Hokkaido. The first stop was a standing bar for a light drink, and the second stop was a sushi restaurant to enjoy seafood. I thought maybe it was time to be satisfied with the alcohol, but it's already night in Sapporo. How about going to one more izakaya? So, where to go? I decided to visit a shop called Chitosetsuru. It was a spontaneous decision to enter this shop, but first, I glanced at the menu. There were many delicious-looking items, but I had already eaten a lot of seafood at the previous place. In that situation, I noticed one item. It was called Lamb Shoulder Roast on a ceramic plate. The price was 1100 yen. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of lamb meat. It has a certain animal smell, right? It tends to bother my nose. Especially lamb has a strong smell. The lamb meat was served on a heated plate with grilled bell peppers and onions as garnish. I took a piece of lamb meat from the sizzling plate, dipped it in the sauce, and took a bite. The flavorful taste of the lamb meat spread in my mouth. The meat was very juicy and tender. I was worried about the smell, but I couldn't smell it at all. The rich flavor paired well with beer. However, I felt it would go really well with sake. So, while drinking a refreshing Hokkaido sake, I enjoyed the delicious lamb meat. Overall, I think it's a place where you can enjoy good food and drinks. The level of the dishes is quite high. Indeed, Hokkaido lamb is delicious! If you have the chance, please try it out!

On Sundays, quite a number of places in Susukino are closed. So, I used Tabelog to find a seafood or meat restaurant to eat at. I was looking forward to the variety of sake since it's a store directly managed by a sake brewery. The selection of sake wasn't that great, but the service from the girls at the restaurant was good and made the experience enjoyable.

I think this is a shop that can also be used for receptions and such. At this directly managed shop, we were able to enjoy various types of tasting, including limited edition products. The food is also delicious. The sashimi dishes are slightly on the higher price range, but I thought the content was satisfying. It is a beautiful shop.

◼️ Directly managed Chitose Tsuru Chitose Tsuru Sake Brewery Directly Managed Store Otoshi (appetizer) - simmered fuki (butterbur) shoots, live Hokkai shellfish, grilled whole squid on ceramic plate, udo (mountain vegetable) with vinegar miso I don't remember what else I ate because there are no photos, and I have only vague memories of half of it, but... all the menu items captured in the photos were truly delicious. I don't remember where the restaurant is located, but I definitely want to go back. It was a great izakaya (Japanese pub) experience. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal. #When it comes to mistakes with alcohol, I want to forget them by drinking more.

Owned stores, so from Japanese sake... As someone who regularly enjoys drinking sake from Tohoku, I have always felt that there isn't a standout Japanese sake in Hokkaido. While there may be delicious sake if you're willing to pay a high price, I often find myself unsure of what to choose among the local Hokkaido sake available at casual izakayas. Recently, I have started to appreciate Kuni Kise and Chitose Tsuru, and have gotten used to their taste. When it comes to special junmai sake, I must admit that sake from Tohoku is still better (sorry). However, there are plenty of great dishes in Hokkaido that pair well with sake, so I can't avoid drinking sake altogether. Intrigued by the concept of "directly managed" stores, I decided to visit one. Without touching beer, I opted for sake. As expected, there were even junmai daiginjo available. I wanted to try a variety, so I ordered a tasting flight. It was delicious. Although delicious, for some reason Hokkaido sake feels somewhat shallow... I wonder why! Even though it's a daiginjo and undeniably tasty. The dishes are also satisfying. Grilled squid, squid shiokara, some kind of herring... they all go well with sake. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well. I ended the evening with a light drink. I hope to revisit when I'm feeling better next time.

After leaving the lively show at Nama Ram Jingisukan Hitsujoen 2nd, I felt like having another drink, so I was lured into Sakabashi. According to their website, it is the only sake brewery in Sapporo, run by Chitosuru. They offer a wide selection of about 30 types of sake, ranging from regular sake to premium sake. I was seated in a cozy private room with warm lighting, creating a relaxing atmosphere for enjoying drinks. Cheers! I started with Chitosuru Special Junmai Hiyahoroshi from Hokkaido for 600 yen. It's a limited edition sake with a crisp and refreshing taste that lingers in the throat, full of umami. It has a decent sharpness, subtle acidity, and is easy to drink. For food, I ordered the Ikagoro Tobanyaki for 980 yen, which was generously topped with white onions. The rich and spicy-sweet flavor was delightful, and the fresh and chewy squid was excellent. I also tried the Nishin Kirikomi for 500 yen, which had a slightly strong saltiness. The herring with great fat content paired perfectly with the ponzu sauce. Lastly, the Agedashi Tofu for 510 yen was served piping hot, so be careful if you have a sensitive palate. It had a subtly sweet and elegant seasoning, with a slightly salty soy sauce-based broth that was just right since only a third of the tofu was soaked in it. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. However, with such a variety of ponzu sake available, having just one glass left me wanting more. I definitely want to revisit and try more options. Thank you for the delicious meal.

On a regular night, I had a dinner meeting with a close client, so I had made a reservation and was guided to a semi-private room with a sunken hearth. Tonight's course was 4500 yen with all-you-can-drink included. Since this is a direct store of Suntory, I had to drink sake first. We started with a toast with junmai sake, which was slightly dry and had a good umami flavor. The menu for today included: a sashimi platter with tuna, salmon, flounder, scallop, and octopus head, all delicious; boiled asparagus with a slightly tangy mayo sauce, very good; grilled saury with plenty of fat, very flavorful and goes well with sake; fried fish (forgot the type), tasty; raw lamb cut steak with a sweet soy sauce-based sauce, the unique flavor of lamb was good; and burdock root cooked rice with a sweet and savory flavor. Lastly, I enjoyed a sweet nigori sake and savored the Suntory brand! The dishes were all perfect for sake, so I naturally ended up drinking too much. Thank you for the meal!

I visit this place every year at this time. The oysters this year were delicious and satisfying, said to be from Akkeshi. They seemed to have grown better than last year. Both fresh oysters and fried oysters are a must-have. The fried oysters were very juicy and irresistible. They paired well with a dry and spicy Chitosetsuru sake. The potato salad with cream cheese had a wonderful combination of textures, saltiness, and sweetness.
