After enjoying some sake in the Yurakucho underground mall, I felt like having a little more to drink, so I extended my taste to Ginza. I visited "Four Seasons" in Ginza. It is located on the 4th floor of a building along Namiki Street in Ginza 4-chome. The entrance door doesn't feel too heavy, but since you can't see inside, it's not easy to enter. Upon entering, there is a back bar and counter on the left side, with table seats along the walls and in the back. I, of course, sat at the counter. It's not a very large establishment, but there were three bartenders. The counter is made of beautiful Bubinga wood, and an authentic bar is always nice. For the first drink, I ordered a Gibson, a classic choice when visiting a bar for the first time. Of course, they had the pickled pearl onions ready. The gin was Beefeater, the dry vermouth was chilled, and the glass was chilled with ice. After shaking the drink and pouring it, adding the pearl onion on top completed the perfect drink. It was truly impeccable, with intricate details and both visually and taste-wise, top-notch. Next, I had a Martini, another classic choice. Again, the gin was Beefeater. Just watching the bartender elegantly handle the bar spoon made the drink taste even better. The Martini was truly traditional, with a hint of sweetness amidst its dryness, making it a wonderful concoction. For the final drink, I found Lagavulin on the back bar. It was an 8-year-old bottle for the 200th-anniversary commemoration of the distillery founded in 1816. It was more rugged and peaty compared to the usual 16-year-old I drink, but still delicious. The place was very authentic, yet cozy and approachable, with a fantastic location. I would love to visit again leisurely. The bill was around 7,000 yen. Thank you for the meal!
