I chose to indulge in eel for lunch at Daimaru's restaurant area. I received a recommendation and ordered a set that included eel in various dishes such as shinjo and liver sashimi. The eel was tender and the sauce was delicate and elegant. The sansho pepper was not too spicy but added a sophisticated touch. The draft beer went down smoothly. For dessert, I had seasonal fruits from Nagano, which were also delicious. The restaurant was quickly filled up during lunchtime.

I ordered the grilled eel with snow and liver sashimi. The sauce is lightly sweet and not too heavy, with a moderate amount drizzled on top. There is extra sauce provided on the table. The rice is cooked to the perfect firmness. The liver sashimi is an additional order for 440 yen, and it is lightly seasoned. Maybe a red miso soup would have been better?

Peak times. Mr. Miyagawa always manages to get in smoothly. Unagi is excellent for preventing summer fatigue, right? ✳︎ Unaju Plum Rice has been popular lately, but this time it was really delicious. When it comes to a unagi restaurant where you can eat without any worries, Miyagawa is the best. I didn't take a photo, but the Miyagawa daikon is truly impressive. A must-order dish. Thank you for the meal ★

The eel season is here, and this time we easily got a table at this long-established restaurant. The menu was explained to us as we waited for our lunch, which would take about 20 minutes, so we ordered a beer while we waited. The dishes were served in beautiful lacquered containers, typical of a traditional restaurant. While the soup bowl was not impressive, the pickles were decent for the price. A good eel restaurant should pay attention to the quality of their dishes and tableware. As for the taste, it was overall stable and satisfying, but there were a few small bones in the eel and the portion of rice was too small, which affected the balance of the dish. It was a somewhat unsatisfying way to end the summer.

On Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 1:00 PM, I waited for about 2 and a half minutes at the entrance chair before being seated at a table. I ordered the grilled eel rice bowl (flower) for 4,840 yen, requesting the skin to be grilled firmly with strong heat. The server confirmed my request and brought me a cola for 300 yen. The dish was served after about 15 minutes, but unfortunately, the eel was too soft and the sauce was too much. However, the liver soup was elegant and delicious. In the end, the total bill was 5,140 yen.

It must have been about 5.6 years since I last had eel. It's my birthday, so I indulged in my desires limitlessly and chose this set which promised plenty of eel. It takes some time to steam, but that's also part of the anticipation of enjoying this eel. When I finally tried it, the eel was incredibly tender with no unpleasant smell and had an elegant seasoning. You could tell that it was carefully cooked, which made me happy. The sauce was light, not overpowering the natural flavor of the eel, which I really liked. I would love to visit again on another special occasion. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

In the summer, I felt like having eel. So, I went to the restaurant area in Daimaru. It's a bit pricey, but you can't go wrong. Having a bottle of beer is also quite nice. The grilled eel was cooked perfectly, fluffy and in the Kanto style. Thank you for the meal.

My mother asked me to buy a delicious eel bento for her, so I decided to try the recommended eel dish with liver for 4840 yen at Sapporo Daimaru Store. After placing the order, I was informed that it would take about 40 minutes for it to be served. I didn't mind as I was told it was like a bath and set meal place, so I patiently waited. I was confident it would be delicious. When it was brought to me, the moment of opening the lid was truly delightful. The eel was plump and tender, and I thought the sauce was a bit lacking, but there was extra sauce on the table, so I drizzled it generously. Eel is meant to be eaten with sauce, after all. Although it may not be something I can afford to have every day, I would love to come back on special occasions.

We always enjoy delicious meals here. The eel is crispy and tasty. The daikon radish is a must-try, it's so flavorful. The flavors are just amazing. The egg custard was a bit too soft though. The vegetables were fresh and the dressing was perfect. The eel dish was delicious as always. The liver was comforting and the pickled cucumber was a bit too soft. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited for lunch and ordered the grilled eel rice bowl (with pickles). I added liver soup since it didn't come with it. It took a bit of time to cook after ordering. It was fluffy, sweet, and savory, very delicious. There were many solo diners by chance. When I asked for a tea refill, they brought out a new cup. The relaxed table layout allowed me to eat in peace.

Located on the 8th floor of Daimaru Sapporo, Miyanokawa is known for serving delicious eel dishes. When my parents visited Sapporo after a long time, we went as a family of three to eat there. Eel prices have been going up, and I haven't been able to eat eel for the past few years, so a specialty eel restaurant was a real treat for me. The eel was so delicious that I couldn't help but order extra rice. The liver water and appetizers were also delicious. This time, my parents treated me, but I want to treat them next time.

I've been feeling a bit tired lately, so I decided to visit a restaurant known for its eel dishes. It was my first dining out of the year, so I splurged a bit. I ordered the eel rice bowl with pickled plum (4,290 yen). It was said to take 30-40 minutes, so I also ordered a steamed egg custard. The dish had a refined taste with a flavorful broth. Although it was an eel dish, the sauce was light. There were condiments like sansho pepper and extra sauce on the table, so you could adjust it to your liking. I finished it all in no time, it was really delicious!

It's Saturday lunch time and the restaurant is crowded. While waiting for my turn, I sat on a chair outside the restaurant. The staff handed me the menu before I entered, so I was able to place my order quickly once inside. I ordered the daily special for 4510 yen, which included eel rice bowl, eel liver, small dish of simmered cod roe, and pickles. The eel rice bowl had a refined taste, not too sweet or salty, with a light sauce. The eel was soft and tender, without any chewiness. The simmered cod roe was also delicious. It was a treat from a generous friend, and I was grateful for such a tasty lunch. Oh, it was so delicious!

10th day of carbohydrate restriction. I have been sticking to a daily carbohydrate intake of 40g quite strictly (thanks to my wife's cooperation, it wasn't too difficult), but I really want to eat rice. I want to go all out, you know? So, I decided to visit Miyagawa-san. I ordered the largest size of unagi, which was around 4,000 yen. My wife ordered the medium size, which was around 3,700 yen. The photo is of the unagi. The soup is not included, so we ordered a red miso soup for 440 yen. As you can see, it's not the bold and hearty type, but rather elegant. I think this place has its main store in Tsukiji, right? It gives off a Ginza-like atmosphere. The rice was elegantly standing with distinct grains, and the unagi was medium-thick, tender, and slightly fluffy. The sauce was slightly salty and watery, with a subtle yet distinct scent of sansho pepper. The service was polite and made us feel like honored guests. They often checked on us and when we asked for a refill, they poured fresh tea instead of the cold one, making us feel well taken care of. It wasn't the bold and hearty experience, but rather just right for after the carbohydrate restriction. Eating slowly and carefully, I felt like I was having a meal at a temple, with a sense of proper posture and satisfaction, even though it's eel (which can sometimes have a strong smell). Enjoying refined unagi at Daimaru, I feel like I've become a proper adult... with a high level of mental satisfaction. Laughing.

It was quite crowded for a normal day, but I didn't have to wait to get in. The taste was very refined, although I felt like it could use a bit more sweetness. Overall, I think it's a taste that would appeal to many people. In upscale restaurants like this, it's often difficult to use electronic money, but here they accepted various types including Merpay.

I was always curious about Miyagawa Honke, and when I asked about the difference between their eel bowl and eel on rice (both priced the same), I was told that the only difference is the serving dish, with the same amount of eel. I decided to try the eel on rice. The chawanmushi and pickles were all subtly flavored and had an elegant atmosphere. The clientele seemed to be mostly in their 50s and older, including elderly couples, giving off a slightly upscale impression. They frequently replaced the warm tea, and all the staff were very friendly!

When I feel like eating eel, I sometimes visit this place. However, I am always impressed by the Miyagawa Daikon here more than the eel. The Miyagawa Daikon is a beautifully cut daikon with a deep and gentle flavor that warms the heart. The eel in the middle also pairs perfectly with it. It is a dish with a lot of elegance! I order it every time. As for the eel bowl, this time I ordered the Matsutake set. For me, the Matsutake set is more than enough! Sometimes the rice can be too hard, but today it was just right. Sprinkling some sansho pepper on top made it even more delicious. The eel itself was consistently delicious. Although there are other eel restaurants I enjoy, there is something calming about eating eel at a department store. Thank you for the meal! ★

This is my favorite eel restaurant in Sapporo. It takes some time before the food is served, so I ended up getting a bit drunk before it arrived, but the grilled eel and red miso soup they offer are excellent. - The Tokyo-style eel rice bowl with sweet and savory sauce is delicious with thick and juicy eel. - The grilled eel is fresh and tasty, and I appreciate being able to enjoy it in Sapporo. It's also delicious with wasabi soy sauce. - Although I prefer the hearty Kansai-style grilled eel, this one was also very tasty. I had some from a lady who couldn't finish it (laughs). - The rice is fluffy and sweet, making it very delicious. - The liver soup has a good dashi flavor and is delicious. Overall, eel has become quite expensive, so when I go to eat it, I prefer to enjoy it at a delicious restaurant like Miyagawa Honten. Everything I had was delicious. Thank you for the feast♪♪

I had always wanted to try this eel restaurant, which had opened not too long ago, but about 80% of the seats were already filled. It's definitely popular. I ordered the recommended eel set, and the eel was soft and delicious with a perfect sweet and savory sauce. The rice portion was just right. The set also came with miso soup, pickles, and simmered dish, all of which were satisfying. It takes some time for the eel to be grilled, so I recommend going with plenty of time to spare. Thank you for the meal.

The other day was the day of the ox in midsummer, and I felt a bit unsatisfied. So, for the second day of the ox, I decided to try the renowned eel from Tsukiji. I visited a well-known restaurant on the upper floor of a department store early in the evening. The atmosphere was elegant, with refined customers enjoying their meals. I ordered the eel rice set and a draft beer, which would take about 30-40 minutes. The eel arrived, plump and delicious. The pickles were also excellent. I savored the eel slowly, enjoying the luxurious experience. It was a delightful summer tradition.
