Sapporo International Building B1F, North 4 West 4, Chuo-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido. The building is located along Ekimae Street in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, with direct access to the underground shopping area. From the FamilyMart store, go straight and take the escalator down to B2, then to B1. At the top of the escalator, you will find the restaurant with a menu displayed outside. I had been curious about this place but avoided it because it allows smoking. On a Sunday at 2 pm, the area was quite crowded, so I reluctantly decided to go in. When I informed the staff that I was alone, I was asked to sanitize my hands and wait outside the store. After a short wait, I was seated at a small table in a dimly lit space with a strong smell of cigarette smoke and poor ventilation due to previous customers smoking. I briefly considered leaving but decided to stay due to time constraints. I was served a light-colored iced tea. I ordered the Gyoza set for 680 yen (tax included). It included 6 gyoza dumplings, a soft-boiled egg, rice, soup, and pickles for 748 yen. The gyoza were being cooked after I placed my order, so there was a short wait. The dumplings had a slightly thick skin but were chewy, with a filling mainly consisting of meat and a gentle seasoning. Personally, I would have preferred a darker sear on the outside. The table had soy sauce, vinegar, and homemade chili oil for customizing the dipping sauce. The sign mentioned "juicy gyoza," and indeed, the dumplings were juicy when bitten into. They were quite tasty and the skin seemed to have whole wheat in it. The rice was generously portioned in a bowl, and I opted not to get the larger size for an additional charge. The soup was a clear broth with a hint of green onions. There was a refreshing pickled cabbage with yuzu peel served alongside the gyoza. The set also included a soft-boiled egg topped with a soy-based sauce. I enjoyed topping the rice with the egg and eating it like a TKG dish. I finished my meal quickly and left without lingering.
