Morning drinking debut «\(*´ω`*)/» I woke up early lol The small cozy place was packed with morning drinkers Beer ( ゚Д゚)ノ 2 cups of "Akahoshi Senbero" Lager medium bottle and another choice of drink for 1000 yen flat with 2 appetizers included! The set includes snacks, edamame with bonito dashi, and smoked soy sauce peanuts. The dishes are reasonably priced with half sizes available, which is great. The specialty "Beef Cutlet" for 600 yen is rare and not heavy at all. Seafood dishes are from nearby stores and the menu prices are subject to change. "Chinai-produced live oysters" for 380 yen is a big size with a satisfying taste! It's great to find a place where you can drink cheaply in the morning (^人^) Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

One drink, chef's choice appetizers, and edamame rice cracker set! The portion size is surprising! The owner even checks beforehand if there's anything you dislike. The master seems as lively as ever, surrounded by Chinese and Korean restaurants, bringing back the lively atmosphere. Now, the "Senbero Set" (= ´∀´)ノ凵゛ includes edamame balsamic pickles, edamame margarita pickles, boiled peanuts, and a variety of quail eggs (tahini, seaweed, spicy pickled tom yum potato salad, homemade shrimp oil, shrimp yukari, lotus root, bean sprouts, pickles, shiitake mushrooms, smoked soy sauce, potato salad curry flavor). With three people, it becomes like an appetizer, so we'll definitely be drinking (= ´∀´)ノ凵゛. The service is provided by a person with a strong spirit of hospitality. Hinna hinna.

There are two izakayas in the Nijo Market. The operating hours are during the day. A shop in the Nijo Market that usually serves oysters and scallops was closed on this day, so I was looking for something else to eat when I stumbled upon this izakaya. It is usually crowded and requires reservations, but I was lucky to get in without one. The next person who came in was told that they were fully booked, so I really made it just in time. There was no menu, so I ordered the "Senshi Velocette" set. It came in a classic medium bottle with edamame marinated in dashi and a variety of dishes including squid rings, curry potato fries, quail egg miso salt pickles, Tom Yum Kung potato salad, pickled ginger and wood ear mushrooms with yukari, tofu marinated in miso, and peanuts marinated in whiskey. For 1000 yen, along with a drink, this set was amazing. The owner explained the contents to everyone since three groups received their orders at the same time, calling it a joint briefing session. Additional recommendations were given verbally. There was no menu available, but options like shrimp fry, menchi katsu, and beef katsu with additional items like crab cream croquettes were mentioned. I ordered the shrimp fry and beef katsu. The shrimp fry used freshly peeled shrimp that day, resulting in a sweet and miso-rich flavor. The beef katsu was a bit smaller than expected but tasted decent. This place is great for a quick and affordable drink. It might be that there were no sashimi available because it was during Golden Week, but other reviews mentioned it, so it might be available on regular days.

In Sapporo, this restaurant recommends morning drinking (from 9am). It is located in a back alley in Nijo Market. The interior is small with a few table seats. You can order the "Senbero" set (1000 yen) which includes a 1000ml "Giga Highball" (choose from 8 types) and a chef's choice assortment of snacks. The Giga Highball definitely makes an impact. The chef's assortment includes slightly spicy Tom Yum potato salad, peanuts, squid rings, and more, making it a satisfying snack. While the restaurant is known for its beef cutlets and seafood, the chef will make sure to cater to your preferences. The Senbero set is limited to one per person per day, so in the end, with two extra Giga Highballs, the total came to 3080 yen. But it definitely got me drunk. I will visit again.

I finally finished my errands in Odori at 11:30 this morning. I can finally relax now that I've cleared the first stage. I decided to have a drink at a set meal restaurant. However, it was surprisingly closed despite the posted hours. I finally found a cheap drinking spot. There were 2 groups of 2 customers already there and no one else waiting. We were seated at a table for 2. The specialty here is the cheap drinks. I ordered a Gigalemon sour. It came in a 1000ml glass, very manly! After a short wait, a large plate of 7 appetizers arrived. The contents were squid rings and cabbage, tofu, potato salad, wood ear mushrooms, quail eggs, chrysanthemum flowers, char siu, and boiled peanuts. Each dish had just the right touch and created a variety of flavors. I also tried the roasted buckwheat shochu, which had a fragrant aroma. The owner took the time to chat with us and gave us some useful information for future reference. I didn't get to try the beef cutlet this time, but I'll definitely come back for it next time.

I don't want to share, but I have to say it! This is the essence of traveling! I had the best time unexpectedly at this place. The snacks for drinking were amazing! The roasted buckwheat shochu was flavorful and delicious! And above all, the chef's personality was fantastic! I will visit again in May! Thank you very much!

I arrived at Susukino at 8:30 in the morning. I headed towards Tanuki Koji, walking towards the side with fewer numbers, with the goal of having a morning Senbero set. I then made my way to Nijo Market. The shop inside the market was a bit hard to find, but I didn't feel embarrassed about wanting to have Senbero. I entered the shop sharply around a little after 9 am, with one customer already there. I ordered the Senbero set, and the staff asked about my preferences and stomach condition. I chose a bottle of Akahoshi beer. Soon, edamame was served. I was with friends that day, so we decided to have the rest of the snacks served after they all arrived. The remaining snacks included one-bite tofu, pickled vegetables, squid rings, potato fries, boiled peanuts, and potato salad. The potato salad had an interesting ethnic flavor. We couldn't just end with the Senbero set as we were all drinking together in the morning, so we ordered grilled Atka mackerel and scallop sashimi from the neighboring seafood shop. We also had a mega highball (price unknown) and a buckwheat shochu made by the owner (probably 500 yen). As we were drinking, another person joined us. The Senbero set snacks were turned into a dish called "Gyukatsu," which was delicious and fitting for the shop's name. Some people actually come in the morning just to have the Gyukatsu set. After spending around 3000 yen per person, we left the shop. It seems like it's easier to enjoy Senbero when you decide on it alone. Thank you for the meal!!

On this day, I had a health check-up and had to skip dinner the night before. After getting my blood drawn, I felt dizzy. I wanted to treat myself to a meal at a new restaurant that I had never been to before, and one that was close to the health check-up location. I found a place in Nijo Market that seemed good for having beef cutlet, which I had never tried before. I headed towards Nijo Market on the east side. There were many shops, but I finally found the one I was looking for at the back. When I entered the restaurant, there were already two groups of people and some tables that were not yet cleared. I told the staff that I was dining alone, and they asked if I had a reservation or if I wanted alcohol or food. I said I didn't have a reservation and that I wanted food. They said they would clear a table for me. The place was run by one person and seemed busy. They asked if I was a local or a tourist, and I said I was a local. They handed me the menu, and I saw that they had a special set meal with half a beef cutlet and sweet shrimp fry with sashimi. I quickly decided to order that set. They told me it would take some time, so they asked if I wanted cold tea while waiting. I said yes and waited. Meanwhile, a few more groups of people came in, and they were asked if they had reservations, but they all said no. I was lucky to have gotten in. After about 20 minutes of waiting, my meal arrived. It included a large serving of cabbage, a beautiful lean beef cutlet, a large shrimp fry, a crab cream croquette, squid rings, potato salad, quail eggs, and rice with seven types of grains. The miso soup was made with bonito broth. They told me that the beef cutlet didn't go well with the sauce, so they offered me salt or soy sauce to go with it. I chose salt, which they grated for me. I started with the beef cutlet, which was delicious with the salt. The meat was tender. I tried it with wasabi soy sauce, and that was also tasty. Then I tried the large shrimp fry, starting with the head. It was crispy and fragrant, and the meat was firm and sweet. It was the best shrimp fry I had ever eaten. I made the right choice by ordering it. The quail eggs for a snack had an ethnic flavor and were delicious. The potato salad also had an ethnic flavor and was more unique and tasty than regular potato salad. The crab cream croquette was creamy. The potato salad and quail eggs seemed like they would go well with beer. Not only the beef cutlet and fry, but even the supporting actors like the potato salad and quail eggs were delicious. The large serving of cabbage was a nice touch. The miso soup had a gentle flavor. It was worth the wait. When I paid, they asked if the meal was to my liking, and I said it was delicious, of course! I left the restaurant. Next time, I should probably make a reservation before going.

After listening to a lecture by Sawako Agawa at the HBC Hokkaido Cultural Institute, I met up with a friend who has a small appetite. We went to a small restaurant located in the middle of the 2nd market area. It was a bit hard to find as it was on the first floor of a building that you could walk through. It was 4 pm on a Friday, and there was only one customer before us. The restaurant had only three tables, and we sat at a table for two. We ordered the "Senbero set" for 1,000 yen each. There were two senbero menus, so we asked the owner which one was a better deal. He recommended the drink and the chef's choice platter, which was the most cost-effective option. We ordered that along with a bottle of Sapporo Classic beer. We were pleasantly surprised that the bottle of beer was included in the drink price. The owner said, "Bottled beer never disappoints." We were happy with our drinks and toasted to a good time. The edamame was marinated in bonito broth, giving it a subtle umami flavor. The chef's choice platter included cold tofu with cod roe, boiled peanuts, quail egg with yukari seasoning, fried potatoes, squid rings, potato salad, and shredded cabbage. It was a fun and delicious assortment. We also ordered additional bottled beer for 660 yen each. We also ordered sashimi from "Ajidokoro Fujita" inside the 2nd market, as the owner knew the chef. The scallop sashimi for 480 yen and the hokki sashimi for 680 yen were incredibly fresh and sweet. We had a relaxing time chatting for about 2 hours. The total bill for the two of us was 3,820 yen.

After watching Yosakoi, we arrived at Gyukatsu Kyobashi for a drink. We ordered senbero and cheered! (My wife doesn't drink, so I had two bottles of Akahoshi by myself). For food, we left it up to the owner and got edamame with bonito dashi (first time trying, but delicious!), live oysters from Chiana (so bouncy and tasty!), grilled oysters (also delicious!), asparagus (shared), a platter chosen by the owner (all great choices!), and a Giga Highball made with KIRIN's whisky called Riku (packed with 1 liter and very satisfying and delicious!). We had a great time enjoying a drink in Kyobashi!

I didn't have the beef cutlet. The first time I went, I didn't eat it. Even though it's a beef cutlet restaurant, I did it again. This is... a revenge, isn't it? Let's go and try it out! So today, I'll have a highball. But then this big glass came out. I couldn't help but say "Wow..." when I saw it. When I tried to take a picture, the customer next to me advised me to compare it with something and take the photo. Indeed! I tried to hold it up, but I wish I had a cigarette box or something for a comparison. Finally, I was able to order the beef cutlet I've been wanting. I enjoyed some edamame as an appetizer while sipping on my highball. It's quite a handful to lift. The long-awaited beef cutlet was delicious and light! This amount is just right for me. I thought about having a beer too, but after drinking this highball, I couldn't anymore. That's it for today. I'll come back to eat beef cutlet again. Next time, maybe I'll go for a beer. But then again, I might end up choosing the highball just to see this big glass. That's how I feel.

I was planning to just have a light drink and go home, but I was drawn in when I passed by the restaurant. I ordered a beer and some light snacks to start. I got a 3-point platter with whale bacon, tom yum goong potato salad (my favorite!), and quail egg shrimp chili. The fried items included squid rings, shrimp tempura, crab cream croquette - all crispy and delicious. For something light, I had chilled tofu with mountain wasabi and spicy chili oil, and some eggplant ohitashi. Everything was so tasty! I also had some sake because I always end up drinking when I come here. The prices are always reasonable and I'm grateful for that. I'll definitely come back again!

On a holiday, around 3 pm, I went for a stroll in the city with my wife who wanted to have a beer. We had a hard time finding an open bar at this time, but we decided to head to Nijo Market to try out a new place called "Gyukatsu & Kaisendon Kyobashi Main Store". The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with a few tables on the first floor and a second floor as well. The friendly owner guided us to our table and we looked at the menu. The restaurant mainly served gyukatsu (beef cutlet) but also offered tonkatsu, lamb cutlet, menchi katsu, and seafood fry. We ordered the "Choi Nomisetsu" set which came with two bottles of Akahoshi beer and a variety of appetizers including gyukatsu and a seafood platter. The gyukatsu was tender and delicious, and the seafood platter had a good selection of items. The set cost 1,000 yen. We also ordered two highballs, and to our surprise, they came in a huge 1-liter glass. It was a challenge to finish them due to their size. The restaurant had a few other customers who were also enjoying some afternoon drinks. Overall, it was a great experience and I would love to visit again for another round of day drinking.

In the afternoon, I had plans... but I really wanted to drink alcohol! So I went to Kyobashi-san where you can drink during the day٩(。•ω•。)و There were 3 groups of customers before me! It seemed like it was full just a while ago! I'm glad I could get inε-(´∀`;)Phew. I ordered the usual "senbero" set. Since I have plans later, I resisted the sake and went for beer and beef cutlet d(˙꒳​˙* ) I wanted to add the Tom Yum Kung potato salad, but unfortunately, they had a shrimp chili potato salad today...ガーΣ(`・ω・Ⅲ)ーン Nevertheless, I quite liked it (*´༥`*) Delicious. A customer sitting nearby approached me and we ended up drinking together! We also met another group for the first time, so we all had a toastヾ(*´∀`*)ノキャッキャ As the alcohol kept flowing, I ended up drinking sake after all (〃´-`〃) We decided to go drinking together again next time! It turned out to be a fulfilling afternoon drinking session where I met kind older and younger people. Can't wait to go drinking together again!

I finally got to visit a restaurant I've been wanting to go to for a long time! I thought it would be difficult to go alone, but someone accompanied me! We left it to the owner to choose various dishes and how to drink. They recommended a platter with potato, takorui-be, calamari rings, potato salad, and tom yum kung. They also recommended grilled asparagus and seafood from a market nearby. The beef cutlet was amazing, especially with wasabi! We had so much fun chatting that time flew by quickly.

Feeling like a genius, I wonder where I should go. I used to go to Rafira underground, but... Osaka seems really appealing at times like this. Oh, look, there's a place that opens at 9 am! Let's go! I cautiously entered and found it. There was already a customer drinking next to me, so I decided to start my morning drinking! There are different types of "senbero," but when I mentioned that I hadn't eaten breakfast, I was recommended the assorted plate. So, I ordered a bottle of Akahoshi beer and the recommended assorted plate. And also, asparagus 2L from my high school senior's restaurant. Akahoshi bottled beer. The atmosphere here is nice. The complimentary edamame is a nice touch. The assorted plate includes potato salad, jellyfish, french fries, fried potato, fried squid, quail egg takoyaki-style, and peanuts. The potato salad is Tom Yum Kung flavor. Everything is delicious. The asparagus is quite large and satisfying to eat. Of course, I ran out of beer, so I ordered another Akahoshi. I wanted to try the beef cutlet, but after enjoying the delicious assorted plate, I realized it was impossible. It's quite disappointing. I wish I had ordered more from my high school senior's restaurant. I enjoyed the food so much, but my early evening drinking ended way too soon. I feel like this will happen again whenever I have to wake up early the next day.

Today we have a company gathering, but until it starts, we're having a pre-party here. My junior colleague and I came together! We ordered beer, half portion of beef cutlet, and a 5-item appetizer platter. I tried Lager beer for the first time, and it was delicious with a nice aroma! The appetizers included dried bonito-flavored edamame and smoked soy sauce peanuts. My junior colleague really liked the smoked soy sauce peanuts! The platter was easy to share between the two of us. The Tom Yum Kung potato salad was consistently delicious. The tempura shrimp from Nagasaki had plump and tasty shrimp. The nori salt potato and miso-flavored quail eggs were also very delicious. The beef cutlet, needless to say, was amazing. It's almost time for the gathering, so I'll head there now. I'll be back later!

It's payday, so I decided to have a relaxing solo drink tonight. It's my first time visiting this place! They had a special deal on draft sake, so I chose my favorite sake and half portion of beef cutlet. The sake was called Onigoroshi and it was delicious. The appetizer of boiled soybeans in bonito broth enhanced the sweetness of the soybeans, very tasty. Finally, the beef cutlet arrived with a side of Tom Yum Kung potato salad and a complimentary crab cream croquette. The Tom Yum Kung potato salad was exceptionally delicious! I could just eat that with sake all night. I ran out of sake and the master recommended a sake from Kochi prefecture for me to try. They were all so good, it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering another glass of Junmai Ginjo. I also ordered dried firefly squid and Korean seaweed as additional snacks. I am completely satisfied and ready for a good night's sleep. I definitely want to come back here again.

You can drink alcohol from as early as 9 am here, with a bottle of Akahoshi beer for a flat rate of 1000 yen including tax. The exterior and interior of the place have a cool vibe. It seems like a spot where regulars often come, but there are also tourists around. We ordered two dishes and Akahoshi Lager, plus one more drink. You can substitute one dish for another drink. Since there were two of us, we shared dishes with separate Senbero sets. The quail eggs were curry flavored and delicious. The beef cutlet was rare, which was unexpected but tasty. They also offer grilled and sashimi shellfish from the tank at very reasonable prices. Although it's recommended for solo diners, it seems like a good spot for lunch or takeout as well. Overall, it was a great experience! Thank you for the meal!

▪️Gyukatsu & Seafood Restaurant Kyobashi Main Store Gyukatsu ¥1,000 Gyukatsu Small ¥600 Gyu Menchi Katsu Small ¥290 Raw Lamb Katsu Small ¥290 Large Ebi Fry ¥690 Unagi Liver Skewer ¥690 Beer Highball Mega Giga Japanese Sake Shochu Tequila, etc. I had been curious about this morning drinking spot that I love, thanks to the wonderful posts from my followers. I finally went there and it was amazing. There were no other customers when I arrived. The owner was very nice and the menu operation was top-notch. He was so kind and you could feel his love for cooking in every dish. As I chatted with him, we discovered that we had a mutual friend who ended up joining us. They were a newlywed couple and it was so nice to catch up with them. I got a bit carried away with the drinks and ended up having too much, especially after two strong Highballs and a Tequila shot. Just look at the Gyukatsu I had for lunch. I started with a half portion and it was so delicious that I had to order a full portion. The Gyukatsu here is thinly sliced, beautifully cut, and the coating is perfectly crispy. It was amazing with the wasabi. And then the Menchi Katsu... it was so flavorful on its own, I didn't even need any sauce. The Tom Yum Kung Potato Salad was also fantastic. Everything was so delicious. This is now one of my favorite places. The owner was so inspiring that I even started offering a Tom Yum Kung dish at my regular spot. It's no wonder that this place is loved by everyone, including the kind owner, the lovely couple who joined me, and the beautiful regular customer. We had a great time, stayed for about 5 hours, and I only spent around ¥5,000. It's such a great deal. I highly recommend this place to everyone, not just for drinkers. They have a variety of set meals too. It was delicious, fun, and just the best. Thank you for the wonderful meal. And... I apologize for getting too carried away and making a fool of myself. ===========
