Well, the place I had been curious about was this restaurant. Let's start with the good things first. They offer all-you-can-drink for 888 yen for 75 minutes without beer. They have a variety of shochu brands like Kuro Kirishima, Tantakatan series, and Hokkaido no Homare series. Their sake lineup includes brands like Momokawa, Rokkasen, Tateyama, and Suishin. With such a selection at this price, it's definitely worth it. Oh, but there's one issue. The beer is lukewarm. I'm not a big fan of beer, but I prefer it to be ice-cold. It's a bit too warm, around 8 degrees Celsius. Now, onto the food. On the day I visited, the signature dishes were half off. I ordered the sashimi platter and shimahokke to try them out. As they are the signature dishes, you can't go wrong with them. In short, the sashimi was decent. The tamagoyaki was okay, and the zangi with mochi meat was sweet but well-fried. However, the freshness of the sashimi, which is supposed to be their specialty, was lacking. The scallops were not fresh, the octopus was tough, the salmon was small, and the supposed yellowtail sashimi was not firm but rather soft. This is supposed to be their specialty. I don't know when they sourced these ingredients, but the freshness is lacking. Because of this, I hesitated to order items like crab and shrimp. As for the shimahokke, the freshness was not an issue. However, the preparation was not done well. I don't know where they prepared it, but it seems like they didn't dry it enough after opening it. The bone-in part was more tender, so this is not acceptable. Even if it was machine-dried, it's a waste. Shimahokke used to be a low-quality fish, but now it's supposed to be a top-tier grilled fish. However, probably due to skimping on half-day drying, it's not bad but not at a level where I would want to order it again. It's a shame if people from outside the region think this is how it is. If I were to come back, it would be for the all-you-can-drink deal and the nice view. The secluded atmosphere and the interior design are quite promising. All-you-can-drink with zangi and lamb meat is just the right combination. It's just that the turnover rate of customers is low (laughs).
