Let's take a stroll through Tsukisamu Park with my younger daughter and enjoy some slightly rough but not bad soft serve ice cream from the candy store. The park underwent renovation a few years ago, and now it has a space for kids to play in the water, a large slide, and overall feels quite nice. We used to visit this park often when my daughters were younger, and it has been updated quite a bit since then. The amateur baseball players are having a great time playing in the field. Many people are relaxing on the grass with pop-up tents and picnic blankets. Ah, what a happy afternoon! The weather is nice, the breeze is pleasant, it's the perfect day for a stroll. I'm glad my younger daughter, who has graduated from her club activities, is still willing to accompany me on walks. The candy store we were aiming for is under construction, so we decide to turn back and head to this place instead. Since I've never visited before, I decide to check it out. As we enter the building, there is a space where you can spend time with small children, clean restrooms, a shop where you can buy famous items like miso bread and Tsukisamu red bean buns, vending machines for drinks and ice cream, all in one place. Before the park renovation, they used to sell snacks and ice cream at the boat rental counter. There is a self-serve coffee for 100 yen, where you pay at the counter and receive a paper cup. It's important to have the option to enjoy a hot cup of coffee here. As for the taste? For 100 yen, you can't complain.

From Hiragishi Station, I walked to "Cocos" to have coffee and then walked towards Toyohira. Along the way, I discovered Tsukisamu Park and decided to stop by. Inside the park, there is a building called "Tsukisamu Park Park Life Center" which was opened in April 2017. The facility offers amenities such as toilets, resting area, kids' space, nursing room, vending machines, and a shop. The shop sells cookies and Tsukisamu red bean buns. I went to the counter and ordered a coffee for 100 yen (tax included). I paid the fee, received a paper cup, and used the self-service coffee machine by Daiohs which allows you to choose the strength of the coffee. I have used this machine before at work and found it quite efficient, although it doesn't make great coffee with cheap beans (laughs). There are also terrace seats outside where you can sit. The temperature was just right, not too hot or too cold, making it a pleasant experience. The coffee didn't have anything special, but the facility is definitely worth visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

Snack break. Visited with family. Some thoughts: - Located inside Moerenuma Park. - Bought some madeleines. - Plenty of tables and chairs, very comfortable to sit. - Lots of picture books and field guides, kids can enjoy. - Madeleines were delicious.
