I arrived 5 minutes before the Saturday opening, and there were parking spaces for 3 cars. There was already one group of customers ahead of me. The store opened at 10:00, and I was directed to the second floor. Since the previous group had 3 people, I was able to secure a 2-person transparent table seat that I had been wanting. Unfortunately, they were out of fruit sandwiches, ice cream, and rare cheesecake that day, which was a disappointment. After some deliberation, I decided on the Basque cake coffee set and a cafe latte. The view from the window was amazing due to the nice weather that day, so I took many photos. Two more groups arrived later, but it didn't get too crowded. I was truly healed by the stunning view. Hokkaido is truly wonderful!

I visited the restaurant right after it opened. There is parking space for about 2 cars in front of the store. I ordered a rich pumpkin shiratama zenzai, matcha basque, and cafe au lait. I couldn't resist the sweets, so I got two kinds! As the name suggests, the view from the top of the cliff is beautiful with the lush greenery of Jozankei. The sweets were delicious as expected, and I was able to enjoy a wonderful time in a lovely space. Thank you for the meal!

Second visit. The first time I went with a friend's car, so I felt a bit of distance, but when I actually walked, it was within walking distance. It was fun to walk from the hotel and enjoy nature. 😊 I had strawberry milk and cliff-top cake. The strawberry milk had fruit pulp in it, was sweet and rich, and the strawberry topping was cute. The cliff-top cake was moist and delicious, appealing to everyone. You can feel the vast nature outside, and sitting in the glass? seat this time, you can see the river flowing below, which is also enjoyable. 😊✨️

Visited during a stroll in Jozankei. The friendly owner greeted us warmly. Ordered a banana coffee shake and pumpkin sweet red bean soup. Both were delicious!! The pumpkin sweet red bean soup is something I could eat forever...haha Definitely want to go back when I visit Jozankei again.

I stopped by after visiting the hot springs. The name of the shop is "Cliff Top," and true to its name, it is located on a cliff with a river at the bottom when you look out the window. The view is amazing. I ordered coffee and lemon cake. The coffee was delicious, of course, but the lemon cake had a strong lemon flavor and was very tasty. I love lemon-flavored sweets because they are always delicious. I want to eat it again. If you like to drink coffee in a calm atmosphere, be sure to visit. Thank you for the meal!

Every time I went to Jozankei, I was curious about this shop. I thought it was located on a cliff as the name suggests, but it was actually just along the road. I went there late, so I couldn't choose a cake, but the matcha basque cheesecake was really delicious. You can spend a relaxing time inside the shop while enjoying the view.

I had a delicious Japanese lunch, so I decided to have some tea. I've always wanted to visit this famous cafe, but never had the chance until now. I was a bit nervous about the snow falling from the eaves at the entrance. The cafe is located on the second floor. The best seat seems to be at the glass table next to the counter, but it was taken so I sat at a table in the back. I intended to only have tea since I was worried about gaining weight, but I ended up ordering a strawberry baked cheesecake when I saw the menu. It came with black tea. The cheesecake was interesting with strawberries mixed into the cheese, and it was delicious. The snow falling gently against the backdrop of mountains and trees created a peaceful scene. There was background music playing, but if there weren't any other customers, I would have preferred to just gaze at the view in silence. The teacup was very lovely, especially since it didn't come with a saucer, which is unusual. Perhaps to avoid making noise. The cafe was busy with customers coming in one after another. I hope to visit again during the fresh green season.

The location and view are amazing. I spent two hours just staring at the scenery without realizing it. I went on a weekday before noon and there were no other customers! I was able to get a seat at this rumored lovely spot. A couple came in right after me, so I was lucky to get a seat. Next time, I'll try the cake!

When I visited, there was a light snowfall outside, and the view from the window was beautiful. The magazine had emphasized that it was on a steep cliff, but from inside the store, I didn't feel like it was that high up. There was a nice fireplace inside. However, I think it would be better to use slightly better quality chairs.

After 5 years, I sat at a rare glass table seat and enjoyed yomogi shiratama zenzai with black honey sauce and coffee ☕️ Even though the autumn leaves were gone, I was healed ✨ #CliffTopCafe #TeiensankeiCafe #TeiensankeiCliffTopCafe #SapporoCafe #HokkaidoCafe #CafeNearSapporo #tabesa_sapporo #ScenicCafe #Zenzai #YomogiShiratamaZenzai #Coffee #CoffeeLifestyle #SapporoGourmetReport #HokkaidoCafeTour

The cafe is literally located "on the cliff," although it may not be clear from the photos. The building overlooks a cliff, offering a stunning view. It's a very popular spot, and when we visited, we were lucky to find a seat as others had to leave without being able to sit down. The cafe offers a variety of drinks and cakes, but you have to order a drink along with the cake. The Basque cake was rich and dense, but not too heavy. The cheesecake had a nice balance of richness and a hint of tartness. The views from the window would have been amazing if we had visited in a different season. The cafe also has a terrace, which would be perfect for enjoying in the summer. We'll have to come back in a different season to experience the full beauty of this place.

I quietly set up a shop along the road near Jozankei Onsen in Hokkaido. When I entered the shop, there was a sign inside that said, "You cannot order only cakes." ??? Can you only order drinks? Well, I decided to enter anyway. A person who seemed to be the owner peeked out from the kitchen in the back, and our eyes met. However, no one came out to serve us for a while, so we were left waiting for about 3-4 minutes. Eventually, a staff member came out to clean the table and finally took our order. Hmm. Is everything okay? We sat down and received the menu. When the staff came to take our order, both the Strawberry Rare Cheesecake and Gateau Chocolat were not available. So, reluctantly, we ordered the Rare Cheesecake and Cocoa Chiffon Cake as substitutes, each as part of a cake set, with iced coffee and hot tea. When I asked for milk with my coffee, I was told, "We don't have any milk." Huh? Are you lying? It's hard to believe that a café doesn't have milk. I had to change my order to a single iced tea instead. I'm not sure if they lied about it or if they really didn't have any (if they didn't, they should have it in stock), but this café lacked the basic level of customer service. By the way, the Rare Cheesecake had a nice tangy flavor and was delicious. The Chiffon Cake was just average. I won't be coming back. Thank you for the meal. m(_ _)m

This is a café in Hokkaido. I visited around 15:10 during the autumn leaves season. The view from the seats is absolutely beautiful. It's the perfect location to enjoy leaf peeping with a drink in hand. They have over 10 types of cakes, but on this day, only Basque cheesecake and rare cheesecake were available as the rest were sold out. Both were rich and delicious. I personally preferred the simple Basque cheesecake over the pumpkin cheesecake I had last time. I waited in line for 50 minutes with 4 groups ahead of me. It took another 20 minutes for the cakes to arrive. Since it's run by just one person, it's important to visit with time and patience. It's recommended for when you want to enjoy a luxurious time of doing nothing.-------------------------------Menu items I had that day:Basque Cheesecake - 480 yenRare Cheesecake - 480 yenCocoa - 680 yen-------------------------------【Business Hours】10:00-16:30 (last order)【Closed】Mondays【Reservations】Not accepted【Budget】Up to 1,000 yen【Address】567-36 Teineikyo, Minami-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido-----------------------------#Foodie #Foodstagram #FoodieFriendsWanted #Instafood#foodporn #genic_pic #tokyofoodie #followme #yumyum#yumyumHokkaido

As the name suggests, it is a cafe located on top of a cliff. I arrived right at the 10 am opening time and secured a seat by the large window. After about an hour, the cafe was full. I visited in early October, so the mountains were starting to change color, and I was able to enjoy the autumn scenery. Looking down, there was a stream flowing, providing a luxurious view. I ordered a cake set at the cafe. I had a pumpkin Basque cheesecake and black tea. The pumpkin flavor was rich and delicious. My friend ordered a lemon cake, which was subtly sweet and quite filling. They seem to pay attention to the dishes they use, so those interested should definitely check it out. Please note that children under junior high school age are not allowed to enter.

On the way back from the Shakotan Peninsula to Sapporo, I decided to stop by here in Jozankei. It was a comfortable drive while overlooking Lake Sapporo. Before coming here, I actually made a phone call in advance. Since the pandemic, many cafes have temporary closures, so I always make sure to check their business hours on SNS or by phone before visiting. Especially when taking the time to go, it's even more important. So, I called. A man who seemed to be the owner answered the phone. When I asked, "Are you open for regular business today?" he responded quite curtly, "We're open... any customers?" I thought about canceling my visit, but I changed my mood and went as planned. Upon arrival, the interior of the shop was very stylish, with large windows offering a view of the bright blue sky and fresh greenery. Various tables and chairs were arranged in the long and narrow space, with pottery displays along the walls. There were various sweets available, so we shared the following: 1. Clifftop Cake (480 yen) - A pound cake. 2. Lemon Cake (480 yen) - A cake like a weekend treat. 3. Matcha Basque (480 yen) - Good matcha flavor. 4. Strawberry Baked Cheese (480 yen) 5. Iced Tea (680 yen) The outside greenery was shining in the early summer sunshine, and it was a delightful tea time while enjoying the nice view. The service was provided by a woman who was working alone, and the man who answered the phone was not present.

My spouse and I visited Jozankei Onsen and arrived earlier than expected, so we decided to kill time at a cafe. We found a nice cafe called "Cafe Cliff" on "Tabelog". It is highly rated in the Jozankei Onsen area. The cafe has only two parking spaces, but it is okay to park along the sidewalk. The atmosphere inside the cafe is calm and the view from the window is nice. There are 24 seats spaced out comfortably, creating a relaxing space. It took about 5 minutes for us to be seated. We both ordered mild coffees and the Cliff Cake, which is the signature cake of the cafe. The Cliff Cake is a hard type with a strong presence of nuts in the dough. It has a perfect sweetness and a good aroma of fermented butter. We also enjoyed the gentle bitterness of the coffee. We spent a lovely time reading while enjoying our tea time. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Just dropped by. The cafe on the cliff offers a surprising sense of tranquility. Luckily, we got to sit in a seat with a floating feeling this time... Highly recommended.
- Iced coffee x2: 660 yen each
The coffee has a light taste, but you can tell they are particular about the beans. It focuses more on the aroma than richness, making it easy to drink. And I just realized that the ice is somehow artistic. The thrilling view from the cliff offers a taste of the changing seasons. The panoramic view of the fresh greenery gives a sense of excitement and powerful vitality. Offering tranquility from the cliff top.

I visited a café located on a cliff in Jozankei in May 2022. From the window seats, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of green trees and the valley. I sat at a glass table seat where I could see the cliff below, which was quite thrilling. I had a cold brew coffee, which was strong and flavorful.

Cafe Cliff Top ☑️Cake Set - ¥1,070
- Gâteau Chocolat
- Iced Coffee
A cafe for adults only, located on a cliff overlooking the Shirai River, a tributary of the Toyohira River, away from the Jozankei Onsen town. The cafe offers a stunning view of the valley from every seat, with green trees and the beautiful scenery of the valley spread out before your eyes. I was hoping for lemon cake, but it was sold out, so I had the Gâteau Chocolat instead. Since all the cakes are handmade, there is a limited quantity available. The Gâteau Chocolat was moist and not too sweet, with a slightly mature taste.

Today is the last day of my two-day weekend! I woke up around 3 am this morning! After reading lots of reviews, I decided to have breakfast at Nakau and had the fried egg breakfast set. The weather seems bad today, so our trip to Furano is canceled, and we are heading to Minami-ku instead. I read that there is a cafe on a cliff in Minami-ku called "Cafe Cliff Top." When we arrived, I found a parking space in front of the cafe. The entrance was a bit tricky, with stairs going down and then up again to reach the cafe on top of the cliff. We were the first customers at around 10:30 am. The lovely female owner welcomed us, and we ordered an iced matcha latte for me and a cake set (Cliff Top Cake) with mild coffee for my wife. The view was amazing, and we enjoyed our meal. After us, four loud tourists arrived, and their conversation about rice farming in my wife's hometown was quite entertaining.
