One of the soul foods of Hokkaido residents, Tubo Hachi. Sometimes when I go, I really feel relieved by the great cost performance. The potatoes were crispy and delicious with plenty of butter! All the fried food was delicious. The sashimi was supermarket level. I was impressed by the great cost performance!

After eating hot pot at a different restaurant, we went to this place as a second stop. Surprisingly, the menu was quite extensive, including desserts, and we were fairly satisfied. However, the portion size of each menu item was small. It was helpful that the calorie information was displayed.

Located in the Kotoni area, on the second floor of a building directly connected to Kotoni Station on the subway, is "Tsubo Hachi." I have visited this place several times in the past, but this time I took a photo for the first time, so I decided to share it. They have table seating, sunken kotatsu seating, and private rooms, with a good number of seats, making it suitable for various occasions. Since I went early this time, it wasn't too crowded. They offer a variety of izakaya menu items, including seasonal limited-time dishes, making it hard to decide what to order. I ordered the dishes shown in the photo, and they were all delicious with a consistent taste. The prices are reasonable overall, making it a great choice for gatherings and parties.

It's so exciting that the original izakaya chain, which now even has stores overseas, started from here with its first store. It's amazing that they have photos and prices listed on the menu, which is something we take for granted now. The variety of menu options and affordable prices are really helpful. The start of 2019 has been special.

I finished work early today and my wife is also off, so we decided to meet at JR Kotoni Station at 3:30 pm. I couldn't find any affordable restaurants open at this time, so I headed towards the old Route 5 area and ended up at Tsubo Hachi, which is directly connected to Kotoni Station. It had just opened at 3 pm. It had been many years since I last visited Tsubo Hachi, and it was my first time at this branch in Kotoni. The counter had two groups of two customers each. I ordered two beers and a dish of simmered kombu and fried food. I like dishes that are light and healthy. The hot plate Napoli-style spaghetti (half portion) was delicious with a strong acidity that paired well with alcohol. The pasta was thick and had a good texture, with a perfect slightly burnt finish from the hot plate. The steamed chicken salad was refreshing and healthy, with sliced tomatoes, shredded cabbage, and shredded chicken wrapped in cucumber strips and topped with a slightly spicy and sweet dressing. The beef stamina skewers were surprisingly tender and easy to eat. Overall, the food was unexpectedly good. By the time I left, the reserved customers were starting to arrive for their party in the private room. I would definitely consider having a party here. Additionally, the neighboring restaurant, Gyutan Sasagawa, which is under the same management, also offers delicious dishes.

Welcome - Sapporo Nishi-ku Kotoni, the birthplace of Tsubo Hachi, a district that is undergoing renewal, but is this the starting point? From the commercial, a pub that started from 8 tsubo and has been in business for 40 years? Tsubo Hachi, I don't know more unless I research further, but is this enough? I won't bother to search on the internet to find out the origin or founding year of Tsubo Hachi, I won't use condescending reviews or anything like that, it's too much trouble to look at. I used to drink at the Susukino store before, but I haven't drunk in the district where Tsubo Hachi was born, so I decided to go in. It's quiet on a Sunday, which is nice, I have the counter all to myself~! Quickly ordered a drink, of course, there it is, the Jin Highball. The appetizer is mushroom salad, cold with mushrooms and pickled vegetables as an accent! The belly of the fish in the refrigerated case looks good with its fat! The scallops have fallen out of their shells~! That was fast, huh?! The squid is plump and nicely grilled, crispy on the edges! Did they forget to remove the cartilage from the body? The steak is big and satisfying, rare as requested! The onion sauce is refreshing and good! The macaroni potato is the same as the previous one, with a generous portion of salt. Even here, spreading out a magazine and acting like an old man. The staff changes the towels while understanding the customer's feelings, it's a pub where you can tell. Thank you for the meal!

My mother-in-law wanted to go, so my husband, daughter, and I went to Tsubohachi. I had fond memories of the place from when I was a child, as it was the only izakaya around and the food was delicious. We had made a reservation, but still had to wait for about 10 minutes before being seated due to a mistake on the restaurant's part. Tsubohachi used to be known for its affordable and tasty food, but now with various chain restaurants around, that image seems to have faded. The place was crowded, and the food took a long time to arrive after ordering. The dishes did not match what was shown on the menu, and even the cold noodles had to be remade as they were overcooked. The staff were polite, which made the experience bearable, but I don't think I want to go back again. The restaurant is planning to undergo renovations soon and will be combined with a different izakaya. I hope they can bring some excitement back to the area of Konoe.
