This is a participating store in the French Patisserie Week. Even if it's not a participating store, I still come here. It's a fact that many people don't review this place often because it's troublesome to confirm the price and product name due to the lack of product names on the receipt. With the intensifying lines, I tend to visit this place less frequently. Last year, in late June, I almost got heatstroke while waiting in line and had to jump into a cafe near the station. My hands and feet started to go numb. Taking that experience into account, I made a reservation this time. Reservations are available except during busy periods on weekends and holidays. I aimed for a time that seemed relatively empty, like in the evening, and made a few reservations by phone, adding a little more on the day of. Being able to do this is one of the good things about this store. I had business in Ichigaya (pet blessing for a yearly event), so I had to give up on the "Tokyo Ajifurai" due to my health condition, and went to Mejiro from there. ◯ Eclair a la Biere 700 yen - Black beer eclair. It used to be limited to Father's Day, but this year, it's participating in the Patisserie Week. It seems to have been upgraded from previous years. "An eclair for adults made with cream made from bitter black beer, combined with black beer panna cotta," topped with fondant containing nuts. The choux itself is not very hard, so it has a fluffy texture, but the part with fondant is somewhat crispy, which is a point. The choux has a salty taste, while the cream and panna cotta have bitterness and sweetness. The bottom layer is probably black beer creme patissiere. You might worry if the sweetness and bitterness clash, right? No, no, this is incredibly delicious. Surprisingly. I ate it out of curiosity, but it easily exceeded my expectations. Well, when you think about it, the bitterness and sweetness of chocolate don't clash either. The sensation is that the intensity increases as you go down from the black beer cream to the panna cotta and creme patissiere. It's interesting that it's not heavy and has a refreshing aftertaste. In the overwhelming presence of "Pistachio x Griotte Cherry," "Mango x Coco," "Chocolate-based," and "Lemon-based" during Patisserie Week, it's impressive that Aigre Douce took this approach. It's nice to have this when you're starting to get tired of them. ◯ Mille-feuille 650 yen - It's not a mille-feuille, it's a mille-feuille. I felt like I had never bought it before, so I gave up on my usual cassoulet and tried this one. In a word, it's as it looks. The layers of puff pastry are filled with a lot of air, giving it a fluffy texture. While the caramelized part has a crunchy texture, the rest is incredibly light. Or maybe it's because of the intense humidity? The Paris-Suc in Kichijoji is incredibly delicious, but this is so different that I felt like I was eating something else. The creme patissiere inside is rich but not unnecessarily heavy, which I appreciated, especially since I can't eat heavy foods personally. ◯ Miroir Cassis 700 yen - This is a classic among classics. "Cassis mousse + cassis jelly + lemon panna cotta + chocolate charlotte dough?" The cassis hits the mark. It's so perfect that you think cassis sweets have to be like this, and the slightly crunchy texture of the cassis confiture on the surface is truly cassis. The acidity of the lemon panna cotta is refreshing, and at the same time, it has a proper sweetness. It's been a while since I've had it, but for me, it's on par with the cassoulet. ◯ Creme de Coco 700 yen - Summer product. Probably a blancmange from the mouthfeel. It's all gooey and chilled, making me want to eat it every day. It's truly delightful for someone with the after-effects of heat. The balance of acidity and sweetness is exquisite. The taste is soft. ◯ Cocothe 700 yen - Also a summer product. However, this one didn't quite hit the mark for me this time. "Chocolate mousse line + mango mousse + mango sauce + white chocolate + mango with passion fruit." Personally, I think the mousse line ==========
