I recently got hooked on a sausage izakaya, so I decided to go to the one near Sapporo Station North Exit. As I left the station, I saw a big "炎" (flame) sign on the window of the shop. Wait, what? Did the sausage bar close down and get replaced by "炎"? I hurried over to find out that "炎" had actually opened in the same building, so the sausage bar was not gone after all. Phew! I decided to check out "炎" since I was already there. The interior of the restaurant allowed smoking and had a crowded atmosphere with counter and table seating. The menu was similar to other "炎" locations, and the background music was Southern All Stars. There were no private rooms, but it was fine for a casual drink after work. The all-you-can-drink beer included Asahi Super Dry and Sapporo Classic, which brought back nostalgic memories. For 825 yen for 90 minutes, the variety of drinks available was a great deal. I enjoyed some "ika sashimi," the signature "salted zangi," and a side of "oshi-ko," along with the tasty chicken meatball soup included in the all-you-can-drink option. As the place got more crowded and smoky, I decided to leave early. Overall, it was a satisfying experience at "Sapporo Chuo Branch." Thank you for the meal!

They also have plenty of condiments like bonito flakes, ginger, garlic, sesame for the rice porridge, which is truly touching. I had three bowls of rice and was completely satisfied.
