It's been 2 and a half years since I last had Jumbo Yakiniku. The famous Nohara Yaki was still incredibly delicious and gave me goosebumps! The "Gyudon" that was added to the menu in recent years was a first for me, and it was so delicious that I was in ecstasy! Jumbo is still the best! I was taken to this beloved yakiniku restaurant by a senior colleague over a decade ago, and I was so impressed by its deliciousness that I started visiting regularly. Even when I was stationed overseas, I would make reservations and visit every time I returned home. Recently, I haven't been able to make reservations, but it's still incredibly delicious. The Namul assortment (¥1,000), Black Wagyu Tongue (¥2,500), Heart (¥1,350), Nohara Yaki with raw egg (¥2,250 per slice), Sirloin (¥1,500), Harami (¥2,300), Top Mino (¥1,200), Gyudon small (¥11,000), Iwajuniku Tontoro Nanashichiyaki (¥1,050), Shabazou Yaki (¥1,750). The tongue and heart at the beginning were so delicious and satisfying! The Nohara Yaki is a Sukiyaki-style meat that you can find in many yakiniku restaurants these days, and the staff grills it for you, but I still think Jumbo's version is the most delicious. Well, it's over 2,000 yen per slice, so it's only natural. And then there's the Gyudon. This is a specialty that requires advance reservations. The rice is cooked in a Staub enamel pot with plenty of grilled meat fat and butter, topped with diced fillet steak. This is definitely delicious! Even the small size costs over 10,000 yen and is not cheap, but it's so delicious that I'm sure I'll order it every time. By the way, even in the small size, it was a size that four people could eat two servings each, so I was very satisfied. The ripe draft beer is 720 yen, the Maruefu draft beer is 690 yen, the Miyagikyo highball is 890 yen, and the Japanese Makgeolli is 1,960 yen per bottle, so the drink prices are reasonable. It's convenient that you can now make reservations not only by phone but also through Table Check (I wonder if this has been available for a while). However, it has become significantly more difficult to make reservations, as it is delicious and reasonably priced. If you want to secure a reservation during peak hours, you may have to book more than a month in advance, or make a reservation first and then find members to join you later.
