Five-star without a doubt! I felt a sense of elegance from the exterior of the restaurant and was a bit nervous. Upon entering, I saw a large counter that could seat about 8 people and private rooms at the back. I had assumed that the lunch would be prepared by the apprentice, but to my surprise, the head chef appeared from the back. This was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was filled with a crisp tension. Despite the seemingly intimidating appearance, the head chef had a soft way of speaking and was enjoyable to talk to. He personally prepared all the dishes for the nearly full restaurant, including the private rooms. The timing of each dish was perfect. Here are some highlights from the omakase course priced at 8800 yen: - Spring Tai (Thick and flavorful) - Squid (Delicate texture) - Sardine (Lightly seared, unique flavor) - Salmon Roe Bowl (Perfect balance of flavors) - Medium Fatty Tuna (Melts in your mouth) - Lean Tuna (Enhanced by mustard) - Steamed Sushi with Spanish Mackerel (Surprisingly delicious) - Baby Halibut (Beautiful presentation) - Spot Prawn (Delicious with each bite) - Miso Soup (Seaweed complements the broth well) - Grilled Eel (Perfectly cooked, best eel ever) - Aged Tuna Roll (Intensified flavor with cucumber) - White Fish and Shrimp Ball Sushi (Juicy fried tofu) - Ohagi (Additional request, exquisite) - Matcha Ice Cream (Rich yet refreshing) - Sake: Hamayuu (Niigata), Shirokiku (Wajima) (Both have a clean sweetness) At 8800 yen, it was truly a great deal. Every dish was delicious and satisfying. Grateful for the wonderful experience at this amazing restaurant.

Just a 2-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. I visited "Takumi Tatsuhiro" in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The owner of Takumi Tatsuhiro, Tatsuhiro Nishi, gained experience at a Japanese restaurant in Kanazawa and several sushi restaurants in Tokyo before training at "Sushi Takumi" in Yotsuya. He opened his own restaurant in August 2012. As the name suggests, Takumi Tatsuhiro is one of the restaurants that inherits the tradition of "Sushi Takumi" by allowing the use of the character "匠." Takumi Tatsuhiro, led by owner Tatsuhiro Nishi, has been expanding its business since the opening of Takumi Tatsuhiro in 2012, with "Sushi Band" in Shinjuku Gyoenmae in 2017, "Sushi Nishi" in Shinjuku Gyoenmae in 2019, and "Sushi Band" in Gotanda Ginza in 2021, totaling four stores. The interior of the restaurant has a main counter with white wood for 10 seats and private rooms. The rice uses Hanamizuki from Ishikawa Prefecture blended with red vinegar and rice vinegar made by Jojo Iino. The sushi, gently formed with a well-balanced acidity and saltiness, harmonizes well with the toppings. In particular, the Ara from Noto eaten with Noto salt, the meticulously prepared Kisu marinated in kombu, and the fresh ikura were delicious! The dignified atmosphere of owner Tatsuhiro Nishi and his occasional soft demeanor made the place very comfortable. This is a valuable restaurant that also offers a "Lunch Nigiri Course" in the Sushi Takumi series, making it easy to enjoy the Sushi Takumi-style nigiri quickly and reasonably priced at 8,800 yen, which is under 10,000 yen. Thank you for the meal! [Lunch Omakase Nigiri Course 8,800 yen (tax included)] - Madai Ara, Noto Aji, Ikura, Kisu marinated in kombu, Uni, Kuruma Ebi, Toro, Torigai, Owan, Ika Inari, Tamago, Ice Cream. I made a reservation for lunch on a regular day and visited a place near Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. The meal started promptly at 12:00. Even though it was lunchtime, I ordered the omakase course with appetizers included. The menu consisted of sea grapes and seaweed with ponzu sauce, junsaia raw sardine, kisu, ayu, spear squid, horse mackerel, marinated tuna, medium fatty tuna rice ball, shrimp, sea urchin and salmon roe bowl, miso soup with shark fin, eel and burdock roll, and egg sushi. I also had beer and three types of sake (Hidashimizu, Hakuryu, and Abe Kan). The course had a good balance of ingredients, and I was particularly impressed by the unexpected light and fluffy texture of the spear squid. The cost performance was quite good, although the portion size of each dish was a bit small, especially for the sake. I wish they had offered at least one cup of sake per dish (I wonder if they would have provided it if I had asked?).

Sushi restaurant in the Shinjuku Gyoen area. It was exciting to have each piece served in front of the counter seat. The sushi was very delicious and each piece was carefully crafted. I had the chef's choice sushi for lunch. My favorite was the shrimp, which had a firm texture and was delicious. The squid was especially delicious, smooth but not slippery, with a slight chewiness. The tuna, horse mackerel, flounder, conger eel, and inari sushi were all large and fresh. The tamagoyaki at the end was slightly sweet, like castella, and tasted like a dessert. The ice cream with tea leaves and red beans was also delicious with a Japanese touch. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch. It had been 3 years since my last visit, but the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and I had a great time. The spring sea bream, flounder, marbled flounder, kelp grouper, shrimp, and ohagi were especially tasty. The flounder was my favorite, with a crunchy texture and sweetness.

I made a lunch reservation through EATLOG for a course of sushi and appetizers priced at 14,300 yen (tax included). The sushi rice was made with Hanamizuki rice from Noto Peninsula and vinegar from Iio Jozo. The amount of rice was just right, not too much. The dishes included sea grapes, seaweed, Kasuo sea bream, kisu fish, marinated in kombu, Pacific saury, Kyoto-style vinegar, gizzard shad, Okhotsk atka mackerel, spear squid marinated in kombu, sardine roll, medium fatty tuna, swordfish, red meat marinated in daikon and soy sauce, flounder fin, mehikari fish, salmon roe, horse mackerel, sandfish, flounder, conger eel. This is a restaurant that I really love, and I would like to recommend it to my friends. I will only post 5-star reviews on Instagram. Only the restaurants that I truly love, want to revisit, and share with friends will get 5 stars on my IG. IG: taiwan_natural_you

The sushi was beautiful and delicious. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was clean. It wasn't too expensive for lunch. We used a private room, but I think the staff could improve their professionalism when serving. However, they were friendly, so I would like to visit again when I have the chance.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, this establishment exudes elegance from its exterior to its interior. Stepping inside, the atmosphere is refined, with a sleek counter where we enjoyed our sushi. The meticulous work of the chef right in front of us was truly exceptional. The sushi we had was outstanding. The chef's pleasant demeanor and attention to detail in crafting each dish made for a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely love to visit again if given the chance.

It is located about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. The restaurant has a very atmospheric black exterior, making it feel quite upscale. Inside, the atmosphere is elegant and refined, with each piece of sushi being sophisticated and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The owner of the part-time job asked if I was free tomorrow. I was free, so I went to the meeting place and it turned out to be a high-end sushi restaurant. Sometimes they take me there for study purposes, which I really appreciate. I don't know the menu, so I leave it all to the owner. What is this? It's delicious. Is this what real delicious tastes like? It's completely different from conveyor belt sushi. Even an amateur like me can tell the difference. Is this what real sushi tastes like?

Dined with my family at a sushi restaurant. It had been a while since we last visited this place. Every piece of sushi was fresh and each one had a unique and delicious flavor. Not only the sushi, but the drinks were also outstanding. The chef's attention to detail and the excellent service from the staff made it a truly wonderful experience.

Three friends and I made a reservation and visited. The counter and private rooms were bustling, and the lively atmosphere got our hopes up. It was our first visit, so we ordered the chef's choice special nigiri for lunch. Each piece of sushi was carefully crafted by the chef and tasted delicious. While personal preferences may vary, I prefer eel that melts in your mouth, but the texture was more firm. I must say, while the staff serving the food had good smiles and service, I believe a more considerate and attentive approach would have enhanced the experience. In the future, I look forward to enjoying some drinks and snacks in the evening.

The craftsmanship series I have never been to the place in Yotsuya❗️ The moment I ate the exquisite nigiri sushi, I was so delicious that I became speechless. You can tell what kind of job I do when I eat nigiri sushi. The meticulous Edomae sushi was absolutely amazing. The shari was also delicious with distinct grains. It was surprising that such a delicious restaurant is not difficult to reserve, as it is not a highly sought-after establishment. The quiet demeanor of the head chef, as well as the diligent and youthful atmosphere of the apprentices, both gave off a vibe of a traditional sushi restaurant which I really liked. Another highlight was the anago, which was different from other restaurants, as you can see just by looking at it. Lastly, the inari sushi was cute and made me happy as it only contained rice inside. Thank you for serving such delicious sushi, starting from ¥8,800 for lunch. If I go again, I might choose to go at night. ・Lunch omakase special nigiri ¥8,800 with Haruko sea bream/flatfish kelp marinated/sawara/squid/marinated tuna/toro/sardine/steamed mackerel sushi/spot prawn/yellowtail/kohada/anago/inari/tamago/miso soup/matcha ice cream #Takumi Tatsuhiro #Shinjuku #Shinjuku lunch #Shinjuku lunch #Shinjuku Gyoen #Shinjuku Gyoen gourmet #Shinjuku Gyoen lunch #Sushi #Sushi Instagram #Sushi lovers #Sushi #Sushi Instagram #Sushi lovers #Edomae sushi #Haruko sea bream #Spot prawn #Top 100 restaurants #Top 100 restaurants tour #Top 100 restaurants 2022 #Sushi top 100 restaurants #Tabelog 3.5 points or higher #Food porn #Sushi #sushi lovers #sushi time #Japanese food ##Thank you for the meal

Lunch omakase course for 8,800 yen at cost-performance Hanamaru. The dishes included karasumi, tai, spear squid, sayori, hirame, buri, sawara steamed sushi, chutoro without any sinew, which looked like a piece of art. The dishes also included kuruma ebi, kohada, iwashi, anago, inari, tamago, kanpyo, black beans, and ice cream. It was my first time at this restaurant, but the atmosphere created by the head chef was great, and the service was excellent. I really felt like I want to come back again soon. The lunch price was reasonable, and the content was very fulfilling.

I have never had the chance to visit the renowned sushi restaurants around Shinjuku area. I finally went for lunch, but due to the lingering effects of the pandemic, the place was nearly empty. It made me a bit uneasy, but the sushi was excellent.

The place is located near Hanazono Park, not far from Shinjuku Gyoen Station. Despite being in Shinjuku, this area is relatively quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The restaurant is part of the Sushi Takumi group, but it has been independent for over 10 years. The chef is welcoming and there is a mix of counter seating and private rooms. The atmosphere was lively on the day of the visit. The meal started with oysters, sardines, shirako, and a spring sea bream with oboro sprinkled on top. The highlight was the sardine roll with seaweed, which had a fantastic flavor. The sushi that followed was served in a calm and enjoyable manner. This sushi restaurant has a casual vibe and is welcoming to all diners. The menu for the day included items such as sea cucumber, kelp-marinated mackerel, and sea urchin. The meal ended with a delicious egg custard, followed by a refreshing green tea ice cream.

I visited the restaurant in Shinjuku for shopping and made a reservation. I had a lunch sushi course. I enjoyed various types of sushi such as sea bream, sea bass, spear squid, sardine, medium fatty tuna, salmon roe, shrimp, steamed sushi of Spanish mackerel, fatty tuna, marinated tuna, conger eel, and salmon roe bowl. Especially, the steamed sushi of Spanish mackerel was exquisite. It was a wonderful dish that is not often seen in other restaurants. Overall, the harmony between the fish and the rice was excellent. The sushi was delicious, and the dessert of black bean ice cream was also elegant and tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I was taken to lunch at a favorite restaurant of my senior. I felt nervous due to the elegant entrance and sophisticated atmosphere inside the restaurant. I had the chef's choice. Each piece of sushi placed in front of me was beautifully presented, almost too beautiful to eat. The rice was on the smaller side, but had a great texture and flavor that didn't get overshadowed by the toppings. I was told that they use red vinegar and salt only, without sugar. The rice supported the toppings without getting lost, creating a perfect harmony and elevating the overall experience. The variety of toppings, from classic to original, was well-balanced and kept me excited for what would come next. Everything was of high quality, and you could see the attention to detail even as an amateur. I had around 15 pieces of sushi and was completely satisfied. The price of 8800 yen was surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the meal. Usually, with high-end sushi restaurants, even if you're satisfied with the food, the price can make you hesitant to come back. But with this restaurant, I would gladly return due to the great value for the quality. I hope to visit again soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It is said that Tatsuhiro, who is popular in Shinjuku, trained at Sushisho and opened his own restaurant. The volume and price for lunch were very satisfying. The sushi had a good balance of red vinegar in the rice, with a nice firmness, and the toppings were fresh and delicious, especially the sea bream and tuna. Even the egg and inari sushi were tasty.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Shinjuku Gyoen. Visited with one other person on a holiday. The total cost for the course and drinks was around 65,000 yen. Both the sushi and side dishes were very delicious, and we were very satisfied with the taste. The service was a bit inexperienced, possibly due to having many new staff members.
