Customers from the Takikawa area were entrusted with choosing a restaurant and ended up here, close to the station. Just like last time, they were recommended a course meal, but this time they opted for a la carte ordering as they had already had a few drinks at a certain no-photography allowed restaurant in Asahikawa earlier. The owner efficiently handled the orders, and despite being the only staff, customers were not kept waiting for long. They ordered Asahi Super Dry beer, a variety of sashimi as an appetizer, simmered kelp which was tasty but could have had more flavor, and Kameizumi sake which had a rich taste. The sirloin steak was tender and flavorful, possibly marinated, and the customers were satisfied with the food. The owner may not always be able to attend to drink orders promptly during cooking, but customers were advised to wait patiently. In addition, due to the current situation, customers were reminded to keep their voices down during conversations (the owner kindly reminded them as well).

At the restaurant, instead of ordering individual dishes, I decided to go with the chef's choice. There were 8 dishes in total. They were all delicious, but the meat and tofu dish and the cheese chawanmushi were especially tasty. In particular, the cheese chawanmushi was my first time trying it, and it was very unique but delicious. I usually don't like cheese, but in this dish, it was well-balanced.

I am very sorry. I accidentally uploaded a different store under the same name "Shinsen-gumi" to those who left comments and gave likes, I sincerely apologize to all of you. I will accept likes here, but you don't have to leave comments, so I'm sorry. Thank you for informing me, "Miss." I am alone in Asahikawa, starting my solo drinking tour in Asahikawa. It's still bright even though it's 7 pm, but the days are getting shorter little by little. The heat is at its peak. I tried to feel the autumn vibes by wearing pants, even though it's hot. Even though it's Asahikawa, the temperature doesn't drop much at night. It's still hot. I should have worn shorts and short sleeves. I have the correct "cool and stylish uniform" for me. A samurai doesn't eat but carries a toothpick. Even though it's hot, you must have a cool face. My face is sweating, but I must look cool. Children are running and playing near the intersection. I wonder where their parents are. I see them walking far away. I'm worried watching them, but the parents seem fine. The cars entering the intersection have to brake suddenly because the children are running around. It's really annoying. When I approached to ask, they were not Japanese. It's really annoying. I will try to enter any place I see. I found a place called "Shinsen-gumi" and decided to go in. I sat at the counter and relaxed. I thought there would be a lot of tourists, but it was mostly regulars. There are 9 seats at the counter and 4 tables for 2 people in the back. I thought that was it, but the regulars went to the back. There are seats in the back too. It seems quite spacious. The owner is alone. Is it always like this? The owner asked me if I was going to a festival. I said no. I don't know about any festival. He said it's the last day of the Sanroku Festival. He said that on a sunny day, no customers come. I see. So I guess that's why it's just me. I ordered a beer. It's probably Super Dry. The beer is delicious and served in a chilled glass. I ordered a carpaccio with blue cheese. I asked if they could make it even though it's not on the menu. After a moment of thought, he said he could make it. He's flexible and a good guy. The carpaccio came out in 3 minutes. He works fast. It's a decent carpaccio for an izakaya. There's nothing to complain about. I'm a solo drinker at an izakaya. It suits me. When my first beer was almost gone, a couple arrived. The man seemed a little drunk. He said, "Please sit at the counter." But there was no 2-seater available. Well, the owner is alone, so he can serve at the counter. That man started smoking. Oh no. I can't stay long now. The couple on the other side is talking about their trip. Either way, these two are talking loudly enough for the whole room to hear. Can't you talk quietly? Well, they're not a couple. Okay, they're both big. It's rare to see such a big pair. But they're not a couple. I get it. They're not a couple, but they're not accompanying each other. They even have grandchildren. They travel together. They're older than me. It's interesting, but talk quietly!! And make that man stop smoking. Well, it's a good place. Another customer arrived. They're doing well with just one person. Oh, an order for zangi has been placed. Are they going to fry it? The BGM is old-fashioned. I don't want to hear this kind of music anymore. It was a straightforward bill. Thank you for the meal.

San, an izakaya located right near Asahikawa Station. I knew from Myrebi's review that they have a selection of sake, but I wasn't sure about the prices of the dishes... Let's take a chance and try it out! Upon entering the restaurant, there is a counter right away. To the right, there are tables for two people. There seem to be tables in the back as well, but they are not visible. When seated, the food menu is just one piece of paper... and the prices are not listed... Chiyosu, Toji no Kura Kakushi Junmai Ginjo for 600 yen. It is chilled on ice in front of you. Isn't only the bottom getting cold? Don't worry, it's at the right temperature. The recommended option is to go for the course menu. Both regulars and first-timers seem to go for the course, and today is no different. The customers are all going for the course menu! I decided to go along with it as there aren't many preferences and it's better to have a clear total than to order individual items without knowing the prices. The omakase course for 2000 yen includes: - 3 kinds of sashimi platter - Vegetable salad - Steamed clams in sake - Pork belly and vegetable stir-fry - Fried natto - Fried chicken - Dried scallop rice - Almond tofu Each person gets their own sashimi platter, and it's good to share since there are 2 pieces of each. The mackerel for the finish was delicious. It was sliced relatively thinly and the vinegar wasn't too strong, just right. The clams were tasty with butter. I asked if this place was related to a similarly named izakaya in Sapporo, but it turns out they are completely unrelated. There used to be a related branch in Asahikawa, but now they are under separate management. The chef recently quit, so the owner is left handling both the front and back of the house alone... I can't help out since I want to drink (^^; When there was a break, I chatted with the owner, who is currently 50 years old and has a 3-year-old grandchild. He is particular about sake and changes his suppliers weekly between Asahikawa and Haboro! The ones I enjoyed were: - Kameizumi Junmai for 600 yen, a sake from Kochi. It has a good balance of sweetness and spiciness. - Daisetsukai Junmai for 600 yen, a sake from Nagano. It's a refreshing type and goes down smoothly. I visited around 8 pm, but by 8:30, they had already closed the noren (curtain). When the sashimi runs out, they close up shop! They are particular about their food and it was delicious. To be honest, if you're worried about not knowing the prices of individual dishes, it's usually around 4000 to 5000 yen after drinking! The menu with prices is available, but I got their permission to take a photo of it on the wall by the entrance! Just for your reference! Due to the location, there are many business travelers and local regulars, and the shelves are lined with reserved bottles! They have bottles like Hakushu 17 years old and even a Kirishima Tiger Spotted that I saw for the first time!! Oh! Smoking is allowed. Apparently, they received complaints when they tried to make it non-smoking (^-^; The owner is also a smoker... The area near the counter, close to the entrance, seems to be the owner's smoking space, so non-smokers, please take note ( *´艸`)

Near Asahikawa Station, in front of the Premier Hotel Cabin, we had a seafood izakaya with a large group and cheered with a toast♪ Cheers! It seems that someone made a reservation for a drink-all-you-can course at 4,000 yen. Looking at the website later, it seems to be this pattern. Course reservations are recommended. Popular Botan shrimp is presented! 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink party course for 4,000 yen / 5,000 yen / 6,000 yen Course contents [Example] We change what we serve according to the season. Please feel free to leave the dishes to us, or consult with us if you have any preferences. For details, please contact us. An example of one day ■ Sashimi ... Carefully selected fresh seasonal ingredients ... ■ Cold dish ... Crispy fresh vegetables ■ Fish dish ... With seasonal ingredients of the day. ■ Meat dish ... Ingredients typical of Hokkaido, the dairy kingdom ■ Small dish ... Also for chopstick rest. ■ Meal ... Sushi made with seasonal fish ■ Soup ... A heartwarming soup, etc. We will prepare. Well, the table in the back was just right for a private party with a good number of people. I hope we didn't bother the customers at the counter if we were a bit loud... Anyway, the food was really good here! The thing is, in Sapporo, you can expect decent content from around 4,000 yen, but in Asahikawa, I think the cost of drinks during parties is high, so I can't feel safe unless it's from 5,000 yen. ■ Sashimi ... There were about 5 types on a large plate. The Botan shrimp from the coupon was also there, and the medium fatty tuna was really delicious. There are many restaurants in Asahikawa that work hard on sashimi, and this place is one of them. ■ Cold dish ... Ramen salad on a large plate! It was healthy and delicious with plenty of vegetables. Since there were many people, we finished it all at once♪ It's not something you would order if you went alone, but it's fun in this kind of atmosphere. ■ Fish dish ... What was this? Oh no, I don't remember>< ■ Meat dish ... Was the gratin this? It was slightly Western-style, and the béchamel sauce seemed homemade and was delicious. ■ Small dish ... Huh? What was this? Oh, I'm already drunk=3 laughs ■ Meal ... A few pieces of sushi came out as the finale. ■ Soup ... I mean, dessert came out, I think. Ugh, I'm full. Even after this, there was still some time left for all-you-can-drink, and some of us didn't touch the dessert much and were determined on what to choose for the last drink. We had a drunken party with the old guys and it was over! I'm satisfied. This place seems delicious even without a party, but it was so grateful to have it at this price on this day... I don't remember much towards the end~ laughs This is bad! Well, that's fine♪ Cheers!

It's the first day of Golden Week, and it's still bright outside. I made a reservation for 5 o'clock and arrived at the restaurant. The counter is filled with delicious and fresh ingredients. I'm excited! My stomach is growling. The appetizer was simmered black clams, an assorted course of eight small dishes for 2000 yen. The sashimi included sweet shrimp, tuna, and scallops. The scallops were fresh and had a nice texture. The Caesar salad was crispy with fresh vegetables. The tempura had a delicious ginger flavor. The shrimp shumai was handmade and full of shrimp flavor. The mozuku vinegar had a refreshing acidity. The simmered flounder had a great seasoning. The cold tofu with homemade miso was artistic. The miso soup had a great flavor. I also had 3 glasses of draft beer, 1 glass of Akane Kirishima sake, and 1 glass of cassis soda. I ordered an additional dish of crispy chicken gizzards, which went well with the beer. The mackerel at the end was exquisite, almost like sashimi. The seafood roll was recommended everywhere in the restaurant and was large with plenty of fillings. It was satisfying to eat. Good food makes the alcohol go down smoothly. I stayed until 2:30 p.m. It was another delicious lunch today!

I visited a restaurant in Asahikawa that my friend who lives there had been interested in. It looked like a small shop from the outside, but had depth inside with counter seats, table seats, and seats in the back. We were served a 3-item appetizer with elegant chopsticks and a rest. There were various dishes available, ranging from small bites around 280 yen to fish, grilled dishes, meat, and a variety of stick sushi. The grilled fish had a nice oily flavor and was delicious. My friend enjoyed the stick sushi, mentioning that the vinegar rice was not too sour and very tasty. The prices felt reasonable. We ordered about six dishes for two people, had two drinks each, and it came to around 3000 yen per person. There was also a young woman dining alone at the counter. My friend really liked the place and said she wanted to go back again.

The restaurant has a clean and calm atmosphere, making it perfect for dining with someone. The counter seats are cozy and ideal for a two-person meal. The freshness of the sashimi lives up to the "Shinsen-gumi" sign. The portion sizes are small, meant to be enjoyed with drinks. There are also menu items like grilled nodoguro that show attention to detail. The average budget is around 4,000 to 5,000 yen. It is recommended to avoid the left seats at the back of the restaurant as they are slightly sloped.

During the Bon festival period, we visited the restaurant for dinner with three families. We made a last-minute reservation, so we only reserved seats and planned to order dishes on the spot. There were only two groups of customers before us, so we expected the dishes to come out quickly once we ordered. We decided to order recommended sashimi and salad, as well as fried food, skewers, and rice dishes. However, we were told that everything except the sashimi was busy and would take quite a bit of time. Even though there were less than 20 people in the restaurant, we were surprised by the delay. After waiting for 15 minutes, the salad arrived, followed by the sashimi and fried food after another 15 minutes. It took over an hour for the remaining skewers and rice dishes to be served. The children got bored and started playing with their DS, while the adults drank beer on empty stomachs. Although the restaurant became almost full with customers coming in one after another, the dishes that finally arrived were all made with good ingredients and cooked carefully, so they were very delicious. It was a shame about the wait. This restaurant may be better suited for small groups looking to enjoy dishes as a side to their drinks.

I had heard about this restaurant before and its reputation for delicious sashimi, so I visited with a friend who had come back to town. We arrived early but the seats were almost all taken, so we sat at the counter. Overall, the restaurant felt like a cross between an izakaya and a traditional Japanese restaurant. The drinks were cheap, with a beer costing only 390 yen. They had a wide selection of shochu, sake, cocktails, and fruit liqueurs. I was surprised to see so many bottles of Akakirishima lined up! The menu included regular items and daily recommendations. We chose the recommended Erimo kinki, a type of fish caught in Erimo, which is a small fishing town. The restaurant had bought a lot of these fish in bulk, but they sold out quickly. We ordered the kinki, which was prepared half as sashimi and half as soup, and the other half as simmered dish. Normally, when you order one fish, it is prepared in one way, but here they cater to the customer's preferences. The quality of the sashimi and other dishes, like Matsukawa karei and honmaguro, was exceptional. The kinki was particularly delicious, both as sashimi and simmered. The stewed dishes and grilled fish were also outstanding. The winter specialty dish, tarahichiro, was creamy and rich. The fried megrim sole was also a standout. They also offered a variety of other dishes, from hot pot to yakitori, ramen salad, edamame, and fried potatoes. The prices ranged from 150 yen, making it suitable for casual dining as well. The service was excellent, with the head chef, an elderly woman, and a young man taking care of the customers with a smile and great attention to detail. They managed to handle the busy restaurant with ease, providing top-notch service and delicious food. It was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish!
