Blog "Tokyu Line, Foodie Walk" https://asante.blog/ ---- This popular restaurant, "Sushi Rinda," which opened in October 2021, was gaining a reputation as a second line of the popular restaurant in Fudomae. On this day, I suddenly felt like eating sushi, so I made a reservation here. I got the last seat, which was at the end of the terrace. The restaurant has about 10 seats in total, including the counter and terrace. As the name suggests, the staff wore baseball uniforms, referred to the appetizers as "steals," and towards the end, they played high-pitched music like a brass band at a baseball stadium. It's a fun place. I visited for the final round at 7:30 PM. I entered the restaurant on time and the match began. The evening course is "Dunk Omakase" for 7,000 yen only. Appetizers and additional orders are available separately. Anyway, I ordered a Black Label beer for 500 yen to relax after work. The "pickled ginger" came out first, and it was quite acidic. There were two types, a lump and thinly sliced, and refills were free. ■ Dunk Omakase + Additional - Medium fatty tuna - Marinated lean tuna - Bonito tataki - [Addition] Needlefish and Kagomma eggplant with miso dressing - Squid tentacle skewer - Sardine - Squid and sea urchin - Seared ark shell - Seared gizzard shad - Blackthroat seaperch - Spot prawn - Egg - [Addition] Fatty tuna with pickled radish For drinks, I added a highball and Kamo Kinshu Karakuchi Natsu Junmai sake. As for the nigiri, the "medium fatty tuna" appeared. From the first bite, I felt that the rice was a bit hard. How well does it go with the topping? Next came "marinated lean tuna," "bonito tataki," and so on in order, but the rice was still hard. It was so hard that it fell apart, like undercooked frozen fried rice... Oh dear. Sushi kept coming out, and there were many great toppings. "Squid and sea urchin," "spot prawn," and "scallop" were also good. However, the rice remained hard until the end. It didn't suit my taste. Perhaps it was unavoidable because I had the last seat, but the terrace is lower than the restaurant counter, yet the counter height is the same, making it very difficult to eat. If possible, aim for a seat at the counter inside. The course is not very filling, so I think ordering additional items like "steals" is necessary. In the end, I had a light meal and drinks, which cost 12,000 yen, but for this price and content at a standing sushi bar, I felt like I would rather sit and eat slowly at a local sushi restaurant. Because the hard rice here didn't suit me until the end. As mentioned earlier, the toppings were not bad, so I felt it was a bit of a shame. Thank you for the meal.
