I wanted to experience the taste of Ginza, so I chose a cost-effective lunch option. I made a reservation for lunch, which starts at 11 am. When I entered the restaurant, the automatic door opened, and the staff greeted me promptly. The service level of the employees is quite high, as expected from a high-end sushi restaurant in Ginza. Inside the restaurant, I could see a beautiful counter in front of me. The height of the counter and chairs was just right, and I was told that they were newly replaced by a famous craftsman to enhance the luxury feel. I opted for a 10-piece course for 5,000 yen. Although it seemed expensive at first, understanding the origin and taste of the ingredients made it worth it. Some ingredients are even directly sourced from Hokkaido. The sushi chef's skills and way of speaking were amazing. The sushi he made had a unique texture and moved when placed on the ceramic plate. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and enjoyable. The service from the staff was excellent, and they recommended suitable drinks to complement the sushi. It was my first experience at a high-end sushi restaurant, and I felt very fortunate to have tasted authentic flavors. I look forward to booking the evening course next time for a luxurious and enjoyable experience. I will save up some money for that. (laughs) I was extremely satisfied this time.

I visited Sushi Onodera with my family in Higashi Ginza! We were seated at the counter on the second floor and ordered some drinks. The restaurant was fully packed! We had pre-ordered the 15-piece sushi course. We started with chilled chawanmushi with ikura, followed by marinated sea bream, horse mackerel, bonito belly with ginger and garlic, flatfish, bluefin tuna, trout, golden cuttlefish, seared bluefin tuna, fatty tuna, conger eel, hairy crab with crab miso, bluefin tuna belly, botan shrimp, carabinero shrimp, Hokkaido sweet shrimp, sea urchin, purple sea urchin, tamagoyaki, blancmange with matcha sauce. I don't take pictures and didn't take notes, so the order of sushi may not be accurate. They use high-quality tuna from Yamako, even in the summer, so the quality is excellent. The other ingredients were also top-notch. We were given a choice between botan shrimp and carabinero shrimp, but they looked so delicious that we ended up ordering both. The same goes for the sea urchin, as we couldn't resist trying both types. The sushi rice was perfectly seasoned with red vinegar, not overly sweet, and had a great texture. The balance between the toppings and rice temperature was spot on. The service was attentive and the staff was very friendly. A fantastic restaurant that I would love to visit again!

I made a lunch reservation for one person through Tabelog the night before. It's my second day in a row having sushi for lunch. I added an extra roll of sea urchin to the 11,000 yen course and had a beer. It's been a few years since my friend took me here last time. While waiting, I ended up getting full and I realized once again that I prefer not having everyone start at the same time. Normally, I spend about 40-60 minutes at sushi restaurants for lunch, but today I stayed for over 90 minutes. I think the taste, atmosphere, and value for money are good. The menu included: - Chilled Chawanmushi (with crab sauce) - Madai (marinated in kombu) - Kanpachi (aged for 5 days) - Hairy Crab (miso seasoned) - Akami zuke - Aji - Botan Ebi - Shima Aji (aged for over a week) - Daikon Kombu Tsukemono - Hokkigai (lightly seared) - Ikura - Tekka Maki - Red Miso Soup - Saba Tataki (with mountain wasabi) - Otoro - Kasugo (sweet vinegar cured) - Bafun & Murasaki Uni - Chuu Toro (they pound and strain it) - Tamago (with minced shrimp and yam, cooked over low heat for over an hour) - Matcha Blancmange

Sushi Onodera is a famous sushi restaurant known for its great value. The lunch set costs 11,000 yen and includes 16 pieces of sushi with one drink. If you add extra toppings, the price will increase. It's been a while since I last visited, but the food was delicious. I would love to come back if I can make a reservation for lunch. I finally got to visit the long-awaited popular restaurant! As expected of a popular place, it was always fully booked. The food was so delicious that I ended up ordering additional items like sea urchin, shrimp, and scallops, which made the bill quite high (lol). The elderly chef kept making puns throughout, and his kindness and attention to detail made the experience enjoyable. I've never been there during lunch hours, so I would like to go back for lunch next time.

The lunch at this restaurant has such great value that reservations are booked up for a month in advance. Especially the 1 PM slot has about a 5-week wait. Regardless of the price, the number of sushi pieces in the course remains the same. The sushi, enjoyed alongside the lively conversations of the sushi chefs, was excellent. The two different ways of cutting the pickled ginger added to the enjoyment of the textures. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ⭐︎

This time, following the charcoal-grilled and tempura, I went for sushi! I've always wanted to go, so I'm happy. I love sea urchin, so I can't resist it. They specially made a bowl with two types of sea urchin, crab, and salmon roe for me! It was incredibly delicious! The fatty tuna just melts in your mouth. I made a reservation secretly at the counter on the first floor, and the chef came up to greet me. It was great to see him again since the charcoal-grilled meal. It's fun, interesting, delicious, and overall fantastic.

The last dessert was delicious, but the sea urchin was pungent with a chemical smell, crunchy, and fishy, and the fatty tuna had a lot of sinew, lacking in flavor, not worth the price, and disappointing. Even though my girlfriend made a reservation for my birthday celebration, everything turned out to be a disaster, and we left feeling sad. We will never go back again, but this unforgettable experience will stay with us.

Visited on a weekend in August. This time, I made a reservation for the 15-piece nigiri course for 11,000 yen (tax included). [Nigiri Menu] Flounder with konbu Katsuo tataki: topped with ginger and garlic Aoriika Honmaguro Akami zuke Button shrimp Ishigakigai Kasugodai Sweet vinegar-marinated hairy crab Choshi-produced sardine: topped with onion and Kyoto black pepper Maguro nakaochi Kohada Dojoguro aburi Toro Murasaki Uni: additional 1,500 yen Bafun Uni Tamagoyaki All were delicious, truly outstanding.

I used to frequent the affiliated tempura restaurant, but for the first time, I visited this place for lunch, which had a 2-month waiting list. I arrived at the reservation time, but had to wait outside a bit in the scorching sun. The atmosphere inside was very nice, and the taste was very satisfying. Just the name "Ginza sushi restaurant" gives off a very luxurious image, but this place is actually easy to reserve and offers reasonable prices for lunch. The entrance is a bit hard to find as it's underground, but it's close to the station so the access is good. The interior is clean and the staff's service is great. The taste is also delicious, so I highly recommend this place!

Near the Ginza Kabuki-za theater, bustling with foreign tourists. Ordered a course menu. The meal included appetizers such as mozuku seaweed dish, grilled fish, bonito sashimi, various sushi, swordfish tempura, and dessert. Each dish showcased the creativity in bringing out the flavors of the ingredients. The sushi was made with red vinegar rice, giving it a special touch. Ordered additional prawns - botan shrimp and sweet shrimp. Also tried both sea urchin - bafun uni and purple uni for comparison. The restaurant had an elegant atmosphere typical of authentic sushi places. The service was slightly more casual, perhaps due to the many foreign visitors. They also offered a variety of Japanese sake and other alcoholic beverages for enjoyment.

It had a nice atmosphere of a high-quality sushi restaurant [Service] The service was excellent! The sushi chefs had a sense of humor and seemed to enjoy making sushi, which made the experience enjoyable [Cuisine/Taste] The food was incredibly delicious! Eating slowly gave a great sense of satisfaction and fullness [Price] I visited for lunch and found it reasonably priced! However, if you end up drinking too much, the total bill might be a bit higher than expected.

I was taken to this restaurant by an acquaintance for my birthday celebration. Every piece of sushi was delicious. I am left-handed, but without saying anything, they noticed and placed the utensils in reverse for me right from the start. Their consideration, such as the size of the sushi rice balls, was wonderful. Enjoying the hojicha tea with dessert at the end was incredibly delicious.

Everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and made the experience enjoyable. We added 2 pieces each of horse dung sea urchin and conger eel to the 5000 yen lunch course, and ordered 3 beers, 3 sake, and 2 soft drinks for 2 people. I would love to visit this wonderful restaurant again when I go to Tokyo.

The other day, I visited "Sushi Ginza Onodera" for lunch. I reserved the Hana course (5500 yen) and added +Bafun Uni and 2 drinks. It was around 10000 yen in total. The food was so delicious that I couldn't help but smile. The chef was professional and friendly, creating a great atmosphere in the restaurant. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Visited on a weekday in June. Made a reservation for a lunch set of 12 pieces of sushi for 8,800 yen including tax. Arrived around 10:45 and waited in front of the building, where around 10:50 a staff member came to confirm the reservation and then guided us to the second floor. Starter: Cold chawanmushi topped with salmon roe. Sushi selection included: amberjack, surf clam, horse mackerel, marinated tuna, hairy crab meat, sweet shrimp, kelp grouper, seared nodoguro, fatty tuna, and purple sea urchin. Additional tasting of bafun sea urchin for an extra 1,500 yen. Egg omelette and dessert of blancmange with matcha sauce. The quality of each sushi piece was outstanding and delicious. The size of the ginger was cut uniformly for easy consumption. The head chef's storytelling was wonderful, helping everyone relax and enjoy the meal. Great value for money. Already made a reservation for the next visit.
