At lunchtime, I had some errands to run. After finishing my tasks and realizing I was running late, I thought about buying something on my way back. As I was driving, I caught a glimpse of a sign that said "bento" on the edge of my vision! I stopped the car to take a look, and to my surprise, the store that I had only seen the sign of before now had an "OPEN" sign hanging outside! With no prior knowledge, I decided to stop by the store called "Kiyomiya." I initially thought it was a takeout-only place, but they also had table seating available for dining in. From the sign, I gathered that "Kiyomiya" offers steak bento, "Hokkaido Mai" offers seafood bento, and "Butsusho" offers pork bowls, all operated by Master Foods Co., Ltd. When I searched online, I found that "Kiyomiya" was listed as pending for registration. I contacted the support team at Tabelog and was informed that a new listing with the correct address had been made for "Kiyomiya." Upon examining the menu displayed on the wall and windows (I have photos but they are hard to see, so I will list them out), the options included: Kiyomiya: Gyugyuu Bento (beef bento) for 1200 yen, Beef Shigure Don (beef and onion rice bowl) for 800 yen, Gyudon (beef bowl) for 600 yen Butsusho: Buta Kakuni Don (braised pork belly bowl) for 900 yen, Butsusho Butadon (pork bowl) for 800 yen, Butsusho Bento (pork bento) for 800 yen Hokkaido Mai: Kani Hotate (crab and scallop) for 900 yen, Kani Ikura (crab and salmon roe) for 900 yen, Salmon Ikura (salmon and salmon roe) for 900 yen And the daily special: Nikuiri Chahan (meat fried rice) for 500 yen Following the poster inside the store, the beef is sourced from Daikin Chikusan and aged, the pork is from Furukawa Pork and aged, and the ikura is from Oki Ju Gyokyo. The prices seemed to correspond to the quality of the ingredients, and although the meat fried rice was tempting for its price, I opted for the Pork Bento priced at 800 yen. I was asked to wait while they prepared my order, and while waiting, I was served water and a snack (laughs). After about 15 minutes, my order was ready, and I returned home to enjoy it. The pork loin was cooked with just the right amount of oil and coated with a flavorful sauce. The store had Soraichi pork bowl sauce and Soraichi steak sauce available for purchase, so they might have used them, but the pork sauce that came with the bento had a rich sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar. The pork itself was delicious, so even though the bento was a bit pricey at 800 yen, the taste was satisfying. The bento included sautéed onions, which added a nice touch, and while I'm not sure if they were also used in the pork bowl, the combination worked well. Looking at the store's calendar, I noticed that from the second week of September, they would be participating in product exhibitions from Okinawa and Kanazawa, so if you call ahead to place an order, you can pick it up right away. When I asked if they were open if the sign was out, they confirmed that they were, so it seems you can wait for your order to be prepared on-site. As I was leaving after picking up my order and paying, they even gave me some cookies that I hadn't touched (laughs). If you have some extra cash, I recommend trying the Gyugyuu Bento! Thank you for the meal.
