Today, I went to the "Umi e Tokeitai" restaurant for lunch. I arrived at 11:40 am to avoid the usual lunch rush around 12 pm, and was able to get a table right away. I ordered the "Ebi-Ten Soba Sanshoku Don Gozen" which includes a variety of dishes like seafood bowl, soba noodles, tempura shrimp, and salad. The tempura shrimp was crispy and delicious. The lunch menu offers about 10 different options to choose from. It was a satisfying and filling meal.

On the last Friday of the month, every place was fully booked and we couldn't make a reservation, so we chose this place in Tokyo for a meal with guests. The private room allowed us to relax. We enjoyed a sashimi platter and grilled scallops with rice and egg. They made a porridge with the scallop shells, which was a first for me in scallop dishes! The all-you-can-drink option included strong highballs, which made the party more fun.

I aimed for a sushi restaurant for lunch but only smoking seats were available, so I gave up. I wish sushi restaurants would make lunchtime non-smoking. Instead, I went to Umihe for the first time in a long time. The dimly lit interior, I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. The daily set meal was pork kimchi stir-fry and squid tempura for 930 yen. The pork kimchi goes well with rice, and the side dish of mozuku vinegar is refreshing. The squid tempura is crispy, and there are also shishito peppers. I enjoyed it with salt, the squid tempura was delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly. However, isn't the menu composition a bit strange? Pork kimchi and tempura? Well, I like both and they are delicious... Thank you for the meal.

When I arrived in New Chitose, I received a dinner invitation on LINE. We decided to meet at the Clock Tower. I was planning to take them to a sushi restaurant I knew, but it turned out that my lunch companion had already had sushi, so we decided to try a restaurant right in front of the Clock Tower that seemed to offer a variety of delicious options based on the enticing menu outside. We were seated in a semi-private area, which felt cozy. We ordered "Assorted Sashimi (6 kinds)", "Clam Hot Pot", "Seared Bacon Caesar Salad", and drinks. First, we were served with appetizers: "Green Vegetables" and "Salmon", both of which were quite tasty and raised our expectations. The "Assorted Sashimi (6 kinds)" included Botan Shrimp, Squid, Scallop, Tuna, Okhotsk Atka Mackerel, and Salmon, all of which were fresh and indulgent. The highlight of the meal was the "Clam Hot Pot", which was brought to a boil right in front of us. The broth made from scallops, oysters, clams, and mussels was flavorful, and the seafood was delicious. As more people joined us, we also ordered additional dishes like "Crab Cream Croquette" and "Salted Cod Roe Buttered Potatoes". We enjoyed a full meal with plenty of drinks, and the total cost was around 5000 yen per person. Upon further research, I found out that the restaurant is part of a chain of seafood izakayas operated by "Raise International", a company that owns 12 establishments in Hokkaido. It seems like they have acquired this particular restaurant, and I must say, the quality of the food and service was impressive.

I arrived in Sapporo with some time before checking into the hotel, so I decided to visit this place that I had checked out beforehand. I was hoping to have some beer and snacks for lunch, but it seemed they only offered lunch sets. However, the donburi dishes were reasonably priced starting from around 600 yen. The choices were tuna and salmon donburi or avocado cheese salmon donburi, so I ordered the avocado one. When it comes to Hokkaido, salmon is a must. But I wonder if this salmon is also from Hokkaido? I usually associate salmon with Norway or Chile. The donburi was small, but it had plenty of rice and ingredients. The fatty salmon, cream cheese, and avocado combination was delicious. I enjoyed it with wasabi soy sauce, but I found myself wanting some pickled ginger halfway through. It came with miso soup and cost 690 yen. Quite affordable!

I want to eat some calm Japanese food. I remembered that place, so I visited it. Going down a long staircase, I was welcomed with a bright atmosphere. The counter had comfortable sofas. The interior was dimly lit with music playing in the background. By the time it was a little past 12, the daily special was sold out. I decided to go for a bowl dish, maybe soba. Oh, I'll have the Avocado Cheese Salmon Bowl for 690 yen. It's quite reasonable and has a feminine touch. The salmon was fatty and melted in my mouth. The cream cheese mixed well with the rice. I think the taste for this price is good. I was able to eat slowly and chew thoroughly, feeling relaxed. I might visit this place more often.

The restaurant is located underground across from the clock tower. The interior is quite spacious, typical of Sapporo. We were able to relax in the back room with a sunken hearth. The food was decent, with dishes chosen by the local suppliers. The appetizers (salted fish roe, seaweed vinegar, crab miso) seemed homemade, and the salted fish roe was particularly delicious! The sake prices ranged from 600 to 900 yen, making it reasonable. We tried the dry sake tasting set and the junmai sake tasting set (both @990 yen), and the selection of sake from the Tohoku region and northward was impressive. The daily recommended sake was 690 yen. The woman in charge of the sake seemed to be a sake enthusiast herself, as she was very attentive and made the drinking experience enjoyable.

I have eaten lunch at the Sea to South 3rd Street and South 6th Street stores before, and because the cost performance was good, I decided to try this Tokiwa-dori store. There was hand sanitizer at the entrance. I was seated at the counter and water was brought to me. The menu was different from the South 3rd Street and South 6th Street stores (I didn't like that tax was not included in the prices). There were various options such as daily specials, weekly specials, 4 set meals, 6 rice bowl options, and 5 special meals, ranging from 790 yen excluding tax. I wanted to try the soba, so I ordered the "Sanmi Gozen 990 yen excluding tax" from the special meals. I chose cold soba. You can choose 2 out of 5 small rice bowls: salmon bowl, tempura bowl, negitoro bowl, Hokkaido golden chicken salt zangi bowl, and black curry bowl. I chose the tempura bowl and the black curry bowl. It took a bit of time for the food to be served. I'm not sure how to describe it. Both the cold soba and the rice bowls were neither good nor bad. They did not offer soba water. Maybe I should have just ordered the sashimi set meal that the restaurant is named after. In that case, I think the South 3rd Street and South 6th Street stores have better cost performance. It's a shame this store didn't have LINE registration. Maybe the management is different? (January 2021)

I am a bit selfish, and since I quit smoking, I have become sensitive to cigarette smoke, so I prefer izakayas that allow smoking in groups. This place is non-smoking by default, which is perfect for me. I requested a good all-you-can-drink option, which is available on an hourly basis. I have trouble remembering the names of the dishes, so please bear with me. - Medium fatty tuna sashimi: It has been a while since I had this, and all I can say is "delicious." It's great that you can enjoy this for only 690 yen. - Whole grain sashimi: The freshness is top-notch, and the unique crunchy texture is satisfying and goes well with alcohol. - Tempura of dried squid: Thinly sliced squid that is fried to a crisp, this is delicious and a safe choice. - Seared Hokkaido Wagyu beef: You heat it on a small ceramic plate with solid fuel and eat it with the accompanying scallion salt sauce. It's delicious and just the right amount for one person. - Rolled omelette: A classic dish with a stable taste. It's cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, making it easy to eat as many as you want. - Thick-cut grilled beef tongue: You heat it on a small ceramic plate with solid fuel and eat it with the scallion salt sauce, which pairs well and tastes great. In addition to these, I ordered a few more dishes, all of which were at or above average quality. The service was quick, and I had a great time without any complaints. I look forward to coming back again.

I was walking towards my usual lunch spot when I was lured by a sign saying "smoking room available" and decided to take a look at the menu. They had a set meal with soba and a rice bowl, which sounded like something I wanted to try. I went downstairs and was greeted with a bright smile. The staff explained the menu options to me and I decided to go with the weekly special, which was a bonito sashimi rice bowl. The smoking room was a separate space with two chairs, where you could sit or stand. It seemed quite new, maybe in response to the recent law changes. When I asked about the smoking room, the staff kindly said they would prepare my food when I returned to my seat. The bonito sashimi rice bowl arrived shortly after, and it looked lovely for only 790 yen excluding tax. The soba may not be from a specialized shop, but it was good enough. The amount of wasabi paste was perfect, and the bonito slices covered the rice bowl evenly. I wished there was a bit more ginger, but that's just personal preference. The rice was plentiful and slightly firm, and the bonito sauce was delicious. I could have poured more sauce on it, but it was still tasty even without it. I managed to finish the meal, and the cozy, dimly lit atmosphere of the restaurant was calming. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The counter seats had enough space between them for a comfortable dining experience. I really liked it here and will definitely come back again.

This tendon was delicious with a variety of ingredients such as what seems to be horse mackerel, squid, eggplant, pumpkin, okra, and two shrimp. The tempura was well-fried and the sauce was lightly drizzled over the rice. I think this tendon was good. It seems that the slight variations in the ingredients reflect the individuality of the chef. Cooking may have a recipe, but it is still a difficult task.

Located across from the Sapporo Clock Tower in the Odori Park area, this izakaya offers a cozy atmosphere with dim lighting. There are counter seats and private rooms available, making it suitable for various occasions. I visited for lunch and ordered the "Hokkaido Golden Chicken Salt Zangi Set Meal (690 yen excluding tax)" since I was dining alone. The dish was ready in about 8 minutes and the salt Zangi was tasty, but the portion was on the smaller side and not very filling for me. The sashimi set meal seems like a good deal, especially for those craving seafood.

The food at this izakaya isn't as delicious as I think it should be, especially the fried dishes. I ordered the tempura bowl, but it didn't feel like I was actually eating tempura. I remember it being just average the last time I had it. I'm not sure if it was always like this... If I ever crave tempura again, I might come back to give it another try.

This is a course for 3,500 yen with all-you-can-drink option. There are plenty of drink options and I was satisfied. The main dish is steamed chicken with a ponzu-style sauce. The tempura is crispy and tastes like it's from a specialty tempura restaurant. The meal finishes with a grapefruit. I think this restaurant is suitable for both solo diners and couples due to their accommodating service.

Today I visited the Tokiwa-machi branch for the first time because I was in the mood for some fish. It was scorching hot outside, but the restaurant was comfortable with the air conditioning working well. The atmosphere felt a bit upscale. There were about 8 customers already seated and 4 customers came in after me. I ordered the sashimi set lunch from the menu. It included rice, miso soup, sashimi (salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp), tempura (okra, shrimp, pumpkin), and a small side dish. The sashimi, with 2 pieces each of salmon and tuna, was fresh and delicious. The tempura was also freshly fried and tasty. The only thing I wished for was a bit more volume. Sapporo is a competitive lunch area, so I couldn't help but compare it to other restaurants. Thank you for the meal.

I was on a business trip to Hokkaido. For lunch, we visited Tokiwadai-mae branch. We were a small group and sat in the tatami room on the basement floor. I ordered the "Three-Flavor Set Meal (990 yen)" which includes a choice of 5 small dishes. Options included salmon bowl, tempura bowl, negitoro bowl, Hokkaido golden chicken salt zangi bowl, and black curry bowl. I chose the black curry bowl. The set also included soba, chawanmushi, and pickles. In the evening, they offer all-you-can-drink course meals starting from the 3000 yen range. It was delicious.

This is definitely a bustling area in the city. I decided to try a different lunch option at an izakaya that has managed to survive in this competitive area. Today, I felt like changing things up so I ordered a rice bowl set with mapo tofu. It's not a typical seafood izakaya dish, but it arrived quickly and was delicious. Hmm, this doesn't feel like a Chinese restaurant, but I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to trying something else next time.

On this day at 18:45, the second shop we visited was this one. Beer and highballs were only 100 yen, so we decided to choose it. Thank you to the informant for the information! There was no announcement of the 100 yen sale outside or inside the shop. It seems to be a service only for those who know about it. We were seated at a semi-private table for four and ordered beer. We also ordered mozuku vinegar and tororo. The small dishes were cold, so they were probably made in advance. For food, we had horse meat yukhoe. I prefer chicken egg yolk over quail egg. When we tried it, the sauce was not on it, so we asked for it to be remade. The lamb roast was listed as rare on the menu, but it was medium. I love lamb meat, so I was very disappointed. The surumeika tempura was 480 yen, so it was okay. We asked for extra Kewpie mayonnaise. The seared mackerel sushi roll was delicious, but the rice didn't blend well with it. It seemed like they made it in advance and added the mackerel when the order came in. "Umi e" charges 10% tax. Is it necessary?

There is a smoking corner here, so it's nice to have lunch with friends. I chose the mini rice bowl set after a long time. The rice in the bowl was a lot, which is good, but the balance with the side dishes is a bit off. I wish they would add more ingredients. Thank you for the meal!

I didn't come here specifically to take the picture I missed last time, but I came with a friend. I had the beef bowl, which had a decent amount of rice. It came with potato salad and the miso soup had few ingredients. The meat was a bit tough, but I liked the texture. The taste was average, similar to Matsuya. The price was fair. I would consider coming back again.
