This is a sushi restaurant in Washitsu. It was my second visit. Last time, I drank too much and left without remembering, so I came back to retrieve my memories...lol. However, this time I planned to eat and drink a lot, as I had the next day off for a revenge visit. It was another private party with lots of fun. The seaweed salad at the beginning was incredibly delicious and got me really excited. Everything else was delicious too, and the drinks were perfect for me! I had a lot of drinks this time as well. The sushi rice was firm, just the way I like it. The fish pieces were not large, but I felt satisfied and could eat a lot. Towards the end, my memory was a bit hazy, but there was some dangerous sake involved...! As a result, the bill was higher than last time, but still, considering the quality and price compared to restaurants in the city center, it was quite reasonable. *The amount spent was between ¥30,000 and ¥39,999, but it was almost 30,000 yen. There was someone celebrating their birthday that day, and we were able to celebrate it too. Where else can you celebrate by putting candles on a sushi roll? lol. The dishes of the day included: - Seaweed salad - Shonai asatsuki, firefly squid, red shellfish - Noto red sea cucumber - Aomori flatfish - Mie mackerel - Wakayama first bonito - Nagasaki needle squid - Aomori salmon - Burdock root, daikon radish, nagaimo yam - Kagoshima butterfish - Hokkaido scallop - Scallop roe - White shrimp sake thief - Red shellfish - Firefly squid - Hokkaido sardine - Shrimp - Shimoda fatty tuna - Mackerel - Lean tuna pickled - Hokkaido sea urchin - Eel - Sushi roll - Ankimo roll (additional) - Kanpyo roll (additional)

I finally had the chance to visit this sushi restaurant that all my foodie friends have been raving about! I intended to go non-alcoholic, but ended up toasting with champagne. On a hot day, I just felt like something bubbly. - Mozuku seaweed - Oysters (from Hyogo, Murotsu) - Bonito - Ishigaki clams - Sea bass (nigiri) - Striped jack (nigiri) - Young sea bream (nigiri) - Turban shell (wrapped in seaweed) - Sardine (nigiri) - Pickled beltfish - Venus clams - Octopus - Squid (nigiri) - Abalone (served with liver sauce and extra shari rice to make it like risotto) - Botan shrimp (nigiri) - Medium fatty tuna (nigiri) - Shishamo smelt (nigiri) - Lean tuna (nigiri) - Conger eel (nigiri) - Miso soup - Toro taccarbie From start to finish, the quality was top-notch. It was as delicious as rumored! I'm not a fan of sea urchin, so I had it removed and instead got to enjoy the abalone with liver sauce and extra shari rice - what a lucky break! On this day, it was just us ladies who had the restaurant to ourselves, and surprisingly, everyone was drinking quite a bit of sake. The chef even joined in on our conversations with some witty remarks, making for a fun time. And the bill was surprisingly affordable - even with drinks, it was in the 20,000 yen range. It was my first time getting off at Washitabashi Station, but it turns out it's easy to get to the city center by subway, making it a hidden gem! The appetizers were also delicious, so I'd love to come back when the seasons change. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Sushi restaurant in front of Washitsu Station. The head chef is from Shoma, but the output is completely different. The vinegar is mild, the rice is firm, but the sushi has a light texture. The taste has impact and the saltiness is to my liking, with careful work. The course is 16,000 yen (plus tax), a price that feels reasonable. Reservations are still easy to make, and the quick turnover means flexible timing, which is great. ・Bonito ・Red snapper sushi ・Amberjack sushi ☆☆ Richness, umami, sweetness are wonderful, with a hint of citrus flavor. ・Horse mackerel sushi ☆ Deep taste, clear and excellent. ・Flathead flounder ☆ ・Spring young sea bream sushi ☆ Good mouthfeel and strong aroma. ・Isaki sushi ☆ The crispy skin is excellent. ・Chum salmon sushi Perfect balance of oiliness and flavor. ・Sardine sushi ☆ Good acidity and strong flavor. ・Throat blackthroat sea perch small bowl ☆☆ The acidity of sudachi and the flavor of wasabi go perfectly with the richness of blackthroat sea perch. ・Bigfin reef squid sushi ☆☆ The meticulous knife work, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and sweetness are outstanding. ・Japanese halfbeak sushi ☆☆☆ Strong umami and sticky texture are excellent. ・Medium fatty tuna sushi ☆☆ Salt-konbu. Deep flavor and good mouthfeel. ・Baby barracuda sushi ☆ Strong sweetness and crunchy texture are wonderful. ・Lean tuna sushi The flavor of the nori between the shari and the fish is good. ・Sea urchin sushi Moderate saltiness and strong sweetness. ・Conger eel sushi Tsushima. ・Gourd sushi Hand roll with strong wasabi flavor, excellent. ・Sushi restaurant ramen ☆ Strong umami and sweetness, a sushi restaurant-like ramen. This time, I had the omakase centered on sushi, so I would like to come back soon to try the omakase with more appetizers. The head chef is also very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy.

I was invited by a friend to Washitachi in Atsugi^^ I discovered that it is surprisingly close and convenient from Yokohama! Ara Kichi, located just a short walk from the station, opened in November 2020 and is almost two years old, but it still has the feel and cleanliness of a newly opened restaurant. The owner, Mr. Araki, has experience training at famous restaurants in Tokyo, and although he modestly mentioned it, it's definitely a popular spot! Today's sushi and appetizers included sea urchin with jun-sai, bonito from Kagoshima with new onions, firefly squid, hiramasa from Awaji Island, horse mackerel, pickles with zassai, shiso, nagaimo, and gobō, sardine button shrimp, golden eye snapper, pickled red clam, hamaguri, fatty tuna, red meat pickles, sea urchin, conger eel, tamago, thick rolled sushi, and himokyu maki. After enjoying a full meal, they also brought out additional dishes, making the experience very enjoyable and comfortable. The lineup of Japanese sake is quite extensive, so the sake goes down smoothly! I will definitely visit again♪

I visited "Sushi Araki" located in Sento, known as a stylish upscale residential area. The restaurant opened in November 2020 and is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Sento Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line. Situated on Sento Icho Street leading from the station, it is on the 1st floor of the Hirasawa Building. Upon entering through the long curtain, you will find a simple and stylish space with a high-quality white wooden L-shaped counter seat. The sushi chef, Kosuke Araki, has honed his skills at some of the most famous sushi restaurants in Tokyo. The restaurant excels in balancing the umami, aroma, and texture of the fish, creating a unique flavor profile. Here are the dishes I tried today: - Sea urchin with jun-sai - Katsuo from Kagoshima with new onion - Firefly squid - Hiramasu from Nagasaki - Horse mackerel from Awaji Island - Meneke from Miyagi Prefecture - Black gnomefish from Chiba Prefecture - Fresh pickles, perilla long yam, burdock - Sardine from Kyoto - Botan shrimp from Hokkaido - Kin-ki from Hokkaido - Squid from Shizuoka - Ark shell from Yamaguchi Prefecture - Simmered clam - Otoro from Chiba Katsuura - Gizzard shad - Lean pickled tuna from Chiba Katsuura - Sea urchin gunkan - Soup with fish bones - Anago from Tsushima - Thick roll - Tamago - Ramen with fish broth, extra large - Small fish - Pickled cucumber Some personal thoughts: - The vinegar rice is loose and slightly warm. They blend four types of vinegar and use salt from Okayama, showing their attention to detail. The firefly squid has a good chew but melts in your mouth. The fragrance of the shiso leaf is elegant. The grunt fish allows you to enjoy the texture and chewiness of the skin. The tuna toro lets you savor the fat, aroma, and umami. The chef kindly indulged my requests for extra sushi. He is very friendly and easy to talk to, accommodating various requests. The atmosphere is great, and I had a satisfying time. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I have visited here a few times, but it seems like people only get off at this station for this place, right? This is the Washitoku Station, where the shop is just a short walk away! They have a wide variety of sake, which seems to never run out. The fish is also delicious. They are particular about their snacks, and everything is delicious.

On my third visit to Sushi Araki in Setagaya, the food was delicious and the cost performance was high. It was my first time trying scallop roe and ovaries, and the creamy texture and rich flavor were irresistible. The omakase course included: seaweed, bonito, squid from Shonai, firefly squid, ark shell, striped jack, mackerel, green onion roll, new onion from Awaji Island, geoduck clam, burdock soy sauce pickles, grated nagaimo with wasabi, and pickled zassai. There were also golden eye snapper, young sweetfish, mud-dwelling cuttlefish, sardines, fatty tuna roll, botan shrimp, scallop, scallop roe and ovaries (red is ovaries), medium fatty tuna, small skin, marinated lean tuna, sea urchin, soup, dried gourd, egg, and eel.

A popular restaurant visited by sushi enthusiasts. The cozy atmosphere, impressive selection of Japanese sake for sake lovers, and the unique deliciousness of the sushi make it a hit! [Visit Month/Reservation Time] Visited in February 2023 for the chef's birthday celebration. Reservations are mainly made by phone. I usually visit on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, making it relatively easy to secure a reservation. I always make a reservation for my next visit before leaving. [Access] Just a 2-minute walk from Setagaya Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line, the only sushi restaurant in Setagaya. You might be surprised to find a delicious sushi restaurant in this area! One of the few sushi restaurants in Washitsu. The head chef seems to be from Shoko. Not exactly universal, but they have a nice selection of sake to go with their traditional appetizers and nigiri. The head chef has a relaxed vibe, so it's the opposite of a quiet sushi restaurant. They say you start wearing shorts more often as you become a regular. I think the taste and price were good. Probably. The strong perfume from the gal next to me was overwhelming, so I couldn't enjoy my meal. There was no response to this, so it's a smell-free restaurant.

Sushi Araki at Sentoku was recommended by a friend, so we decided to celebrate a special occasion there. It's located just a 2-minute walk from Sentoku Station. The restaurant has about 8 seats at the counter and 1 table. They take their time with each customer and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We started with champagne for a toast, followed by a variety of dishes including mozuku seaweed and kawahagi. The standout feature was the sushi rice, which was firm and flavorful, making it easy to keep eating. We enjoyed a variety of sushi including ishigakidai, sawara, aori ika, chawanmushi, kinmedai, shirako, ebi, akagai, mekajiki, chutoro, kobada, akami, and uni from America, which was a delightful surprise. The sake selection was also excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Average cost per person was around 20,000 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Four stations from Meguro Station, there is a station called Sentaku where express trains do not stop. This area is known for its large old houses, and has been a prestigious residential area since ancient times. It is said that Eiichi Shibusawa was involved in the development of this residential area. A sushi restaurant called Arakichi was born in this area, attracting not only locals but also people from other regions, including Osaka. This was my second visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere is like a local sushi restaurant, with a friendly conversation with the owner, delicious sushi, and reasonable prices. On this day, the omakase course with beer, 4 types of sake, and 2 tea cocktails was ¥22,000 per person. There are many sushi restaurants in Tokyo, so if I were asked if I would come from a rural area to choose, I would hesitate. However, if you are in Kanagawa, the access from the Meguro Line is good, so it might be worth a visit. Those in Tokyo should definitely visit this unique area of Sentaku. However, as the restaurant opened during the pandemic in a pre-existing space, they are currently looking for a new location, so the future is uncertain. In other words, those with good access should go now... Omakase course: - Rock mozuku (Noto) - Ishigaki clam (Iwate) - Return bonito tataki (Kesennuma) - Striped jack (Kozushima) - Amberjack marinade (Hokkaido) - Squid (Akashi) - Shirako chawanmushi - Pickles (burdock, bettara, myoga) - Grilled squid liver miso - Skin peel liver salad (Hiroshima) - Horse mackerel (Oita) - Fresh salmon roe bowl - Botan shrimp (Hokkaido) - Medium fatty tuna (Shiogama) mini bowl - Beltfish (Kumamoto) - Lean tuna marinade - Simmered scallop - Sea urchin (Hokkaido) with miso soup - Conger eel (Tsushima) - Dried gourd - Tamago (Japanese omelette)

Regular visit to Araki-san in September! We visit once every 1.5 months. This time, there were 3 of us. It's pure bliss to drink and eat with sushi and sake-loving friends. One of the reasons Araki-san is popular is its homely atmosphere. The most memorable dish this time was the grilled miso-marinated squid legs, which I have had a few times before. Personally, I love squid legs, so I could just drink with this alone. It goes perfectly with hot sake. The winner for nigiri was the yellowtail. Delicious yellowtail is almost always medium fatty. The texture and taste of the flesh and fat were incredibly delicious. The last dish, the assorted rolls, was also delicious and made me feel blissful. I will visit again!

It was understandable that this restaurant is difficult to make a reservation at. The sushi was all carefully prepared and the skills of the chef were amazing, making the dishes exquisite. I was also drawn to the personality of the head chef. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely revisit when I can secure a reservation. Thank you very much.

I have been coming to this restaurant regularly since it opened, maybe about the 8th time now. The chef trained at Sushi Koyoshi in Jiyugaoka and Uni Universal Studio in Nakameguro, and opened his own place during the pandemic two years ago. It's interesting to see how the quality keeps improving. I made a reservation two weeks ago and barely got in. It was just the two of us on a weekday night. Today, I took some photos (although some are missing) so I'll upload them. The highlight was the rare herring. It's often served at sushi restaurants in Hokkaido, but this one was exceptional - so fatty and fragrant, it was amazing. The shad was also very good, and it was the start of the season for fresh salmon roe. Why isn't herring more popular when it's this delicious? There must be a reason. I drank a lot, ate until I was stuffed, and the bill came out to about 25,000 yen per person. I like this price range. I chased my green tea highball with sake, champagne, and a little beer. The chef is always cheerful and makes the experience enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. Check out my thoughts in the photos.

The omakase set for 18,700 yen was delicious. The sushi rice was firm and the toppings included mozuku, Ishigaki shellfish, katsuo tsukudani, madai, aji, shirauo, beef burdock, bettara pickles, kabocha, golden eye snapper, abalone, white squid, shirasu, ikura, chutoro, white shrimp, small skin tuna, boiled scallop, miso soup, purple sea urchin, anago (from Tsushima, Nagasaki), dried gourd, tamago, white squid legs, and more. The appetizers were very tasty, and the sushi was to my liking with firm rice.

Finally, I visited Sushi Araki in August! It was my first time hosting a private party at Sushi Araki, where I have visited the most frequently in my sushi history. It was a very enjoyable event with special guests invited. Thank you to everyone who joined me. The atmosphere was as friendly as ever, and you can enjoy delicious sashimi, nigiri, and sake at this restaurant! The most memorable sashimi was the fresh stonefish. It was my first time trying it as sashimi instead of nigiri, and I enjoyed the texture of the skin. Personally, it's a favorite of mine. The nigiri that stood out was the small battleship sushi with green willow and, above all, the herring was delicious! Green willow is also known as "fool shellfish," and I thought it was similar to herring. And the herring nigiri, which I rarely see, was delicious with its rich fat. The balance with Sushi Araki's shari was perfect. I will definitely visit again! The following is the same content as last time. A famous restaurant where sushi lovers flock to. Chef Araki has an impressive career as a seasoned craftsman who trained at "Sushi Koki, Sushi Shomyu, Sushi Ten Group". His aging and freezing techniques for ingredients are top-notch, but his dedication to shari was particularly interesting. He uses "Shinnosuke" rice from Niigata, chosen because it shares the name of his child. It is not sushi rice, so it is steamed for 6 minutes after polishing. As a result, the shari is "al dente," with a firm texture and addictive flavor. And for the sake lovers, there is a great lineup of Japanese sake. Chef Araki's personality is lovely, and it's a great place to enjoy sushi in a relaxed atmosphere. It is recommended to make reservations well in advance as it will likely become difficult to secure a booking.
