A popular sushi restaurant where sushi lovers flock to. The cozy atmosphere, a great selection of Japanese sake for sake lovers, and the unique deliciousness of the sushi are the reasons for its popularity! [Visit Month/Reservation Time] I visited for the last sushi meal in December 2022! Reservations are mainly done by phone. I usually go on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so reservations are relatively easy to get! I always make a reservation for the next visit before leaving. I often invite companions every month, so if you are interested, let's go together! [Access] Just a 2-minute walk from Sento Station, the only one in Meguro Ward on the Tokyu Meguro Line. You might think, "Is there a delicious sushi restaurant in this town?" Recently, the convenience store in front of the station has closed, making the area a bit lonely, haha. When you hear Sento, you think of Sushi Ara. When you hear Sushi Ara, you think of Sento. It's also a symbol of Sento Station! [Interior/Atmosphere] The style is not formal, with a counter and tables visible from the outside. Inside, there is an L-shaped counter and tables. The counter seats up to 8 people. Upon entering, they sanitize hands and check temperature, and they will take your coat. The staff are also very nice! [Introduction of Head Chef] Chef Araki has an impressive career history. He trained at Sushiko, Sushinomisuke, and Sushi Ten groups. His dedication to the aging and freezing of ingredients as well as the shari (sushi rice) is particularly interesting! He uses "Shinnosuke" from Niigata, chosen because it has the same name as his child. It is not sushi rice, so he polishes and cooks it in 6 minutes. Therefore, the shari is "al dente", with a core that remains, creating a distinctive flavor. [Course Content] I always drink too much, so I don't know the price of the course! It's usually around 17,000 yen? Just the chef's choice! They serve appetizers and sushi alternately, perfectly paired with sake. The chef handles both the cooking and sushi alone. [Overall Impression] As a sake lover, I definitely want to continue visiting this famous restaurant. They usually offer around 30 types of sake, and I have about 10 different ones each time. I still have a lot of posts about Sushi Ara, so I'll do my best! I would be happy if you could check out my other posts as well. I also invite companions for sushi, so please follow me! @sushi_architect =========================== Name: Sushi Ara Location: 2-minute walk from Sento Station Price Range: 18,000 yen~ Closed on Sundays Reservation: Phone reservation Reference: Tabelog 3.52 (at the time of visit) =========================== ~~~~List of Sushi (in no particular order)~~~~ - Iwamotozuku (type of seaweed) - Komochi kombu (kelp with fish roe) - Kawahagi liver with soy sauce - Hamo (conger eel) - Vinegared dish - Gari (pickled ginger) - Hata (grouper) - Sawara (Spanish mackerel) - Pickled vegetables set - Squid - Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) - Negima of tuna - Akagai (ark shell) - Masu (trout) - Botan ebi (spot prawn) - Nishin (herring) - Chutoro (medium fatty tuna) - Kohada (gizzard shad) - Akami-zuke (marinated lean tuna) - Soup - Uni (sea urchin) - Anago (sea eel) - Himo Kyu thick roll - Kanpyo hand roll - Tamago (sweet omelette) - Karasumi (bottarga) - Takuan (pickled daikon radish) ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~
