On the evening of the second Sunday in November, I decided to try out home delivery sushi for a change. Every year, at the beginning of November, my family has a special anniversary. Last year, my wife and I went to a nearby izakaya to celebrate, as mentioned in a previous review. This year, however, I was unsure of what to do. Over the past year, we have faced both dramatic challenges and miraculous moments, making me truly grateful for everything in life. This year, reaching this day safely has made me reflect on the meaning of survival and the meaning of life. Therefore, this year's anniversary holds even more significance for us. After much contemplation, I decided to keep it simple and celebrate at home with my wife and our dogs, Ayame and Kaede. We ordered a modest amount of food from the supermarket and decided to try ordering sushi delivery from Sapporo Kaisenmaru Fukuzumi branch. We ordered the "Jougin" (10 pieces) for two people, which included a variety of sushi items along with a chawanmushi as a side dish. The delivery arrived on time, and we were ready to celebrate. The sushi was surprisingly delicious, with the "Tsubu" and "Engawa" standing out as the most enjoyable. Overall, the meal was satisfying, even though some items like the "Uni," "Salmon," and "Kampachi" were not as impressive. While the taste may not be as exceptional as dining at a high-end sushi restaurant, the convenience and comfort of enjoying a special meal at home have their own charm. As someone who appreciates simple pleasures and values both physical and emotional satisfaction from food, I find joy in savoring a little luxury in the midst of everyday life.
