旅浪漫
I arrived in Sapporo on a romantic trip in early autumn 2022 in Hokkaido. After visiting Asahikawa, Wakkanai, Rishiri Island, Rebun Island, and Hakodate, I finally arrived in Sapporo, my last accommodation. I stayed at Nest Hotel Sapporo Odori. I used a travel voucher from JTB for long service awards to book a Standard Double non-smoking room with breakfast buffet for 6,800 yen per night. The hotel is located between Odori and Tanukikoji Shopping Street, in Minami 2-jo Nishi 5-chome. Check-in starts at 3 pm. When checking in, the staff kindly upgraded my room to a larger one that was available. Room 710. The room had double doors for soundproofing and insulation, a king-size bed, and a spacious unit bath. There were plenty of lights in the room, and even a sofa. Unfortunately, the view from the window was not great, but I was grateful for the upgrade. Being close to downtown, I was able to visit the izakaya and popular ramen shop I had booked in advance. The next morning, I enjoyed Nest Hotel's buffet breakfast. The breakfast time is from 7 am to 10 am. I thought it would be more crowded, but I was seated right away at the counter. The hotel's specialty is the DIY seafood bowl, where you can pile on as much ikura (salmon roe) as you want. I made a ikura bowl with sweet shrimp and salmon, and added other dishes like tempura, simmered chicken, grilled mackerel, scrambled eggs, salad, miso soup, and Niseko's Kurasima milk. In total, there were about 40 items including bread. I was delighted to enjoy such a lavish breakfast. With the room upgrade and this wonderful breakfast, Nest Hotel is a great place to stay. It may be a bit pricey, but I would love to stay here again for such a delicious breakfast. Thank you for the meal.
