I attended this place for a second party. What I received this time were: appetizer (looks like sashimi), chicken wings, a set of 3 skewers (shrimp, scallop, and one unknown), sour drinks, and takeout of more than 5 skewers. Including takeout, it was around 3500 yen, without takeout it would be about 2000 yen. It may not be enough as a review because I didn't eat much, but the taste was good. Regarding the takeout, the food was packed in containers, so unless you eat it immediately, the oil might accumulate or the coating might peel off. It would have been better if there were oil-absorbing sheets. Overall, the taste was good even though I didn't eat much. The takeout was a bit lacking. I would rate it 3 stars for service and everything else. I am considering going back to try more variety next time. This place is great for a casual eating and drinking session.

And Bar TAKU, it's nice that you can write about a few places, so I thought it would be good to come along, but I can only write about four places. However, it seems a bit lonely to come all the way to Otaru and see a kind of food stall village. At first, we sat at a sushi restaurant, but we decided to sit in the common area and order from each store. I ordered whiskey, and Yome-san ordered wine. At the Wa-Bar TAKU, we tried the "5-piece assorted skewers" which was less than 800 yen. The waiter brought it to us. Yome-san said, "It's not expensive because it's a 5-piece set," and "It was delicious." The assortment included cheese, pork, red wiener, lotus root, and green onion. Personally, I thought it was cheap. I didn't enjoy the red wiener because I used to be poor and ate it a lot. I was looking forward to the pork, but it lacked texture. Some people may like it soft, but I don't think being happy about something without texture is a sign of aging. Why do I have to eat green onion skewers? It's embarrassing. The cheese was cheap, but I could still tolerate it. As for the lotus root, well, it can't be helped. Hmm, after coming all the way to Otaru, is this all there is?

During the state of emergency. I was walking in the city on Saturday evening, but there were hardly any people around. Even the area near Roman Yokocho felt empty. There were some things being sold at the entrance, but I ignored them and went inside the building for takeout purposes. I didn't make a reservation at the restaurant I wanted to go to, but when I asked, they said there was a 2-hour wait. I couldn't wait that long, so I gave up. I went back to the entrance and saw that three shops inside were each selling their own original burgers. I bought the "Bakudan Burger" from Wa Bar TAKU (400 yen). I'll enjoy it at home. It was a big, crispy menchi katsu. I tried it with the sauce in a separate container. The menchi katsu had a good taste, but the cheese inside didn't stand out much. It might have been better without it. Also, more cabbage would have been nice. But it was delicious! Hang in there during these tough times. Thank you for the meal~.
