However, the taste of the skewers is delicious, comparable to individual yakitori shops rather than chain stores. I would recommend trying their grilled chicken skewers at Hikari Yakitori. Their service is also great, and the soup is delicious.

I went to a yakitori restaurant called Kushitori for the first time in three years. Due to the pandemic, I thought it would be empty, but it was actually full even though it was early on a Friday. I made a reservation for 5:30 pm and by around 7 pm when we finished eating, many menu items were sold out. It was disappointing that the grilled mushroom skewer was gone. The combination of mochi and bacon was excellent and delicious. It's best to eat it as soon as it comes out. When it comes to Hokkaido, potatoes are a must. In the Kanto region, it's called negima, but at this restaurant, it's called seishiniku. The tail end of the chicken is called ponpochi. The sauce at this restaurant was similar to the sauce on mitarashi dango. And of course, the must-try dish at this restaurant is the "chicken kamameshi." It seems to be popular because when we ordered it, it was already sold out. Kamameshi takes over 30 minutes to cook, so I recommend ordering it early. Definitely give Kushitori a try!

It's been a while since I visited Kushitori, and I'm happy about it. I arrived around 18:30 and luckily there were two seats available. The counter is small and the cleaning could be better. The soup and grated daikon were delicious. I wish I had more of the grated daikon. I should have ordered more. I lack the courage. The skewers were all delicious. I love them, especially the pork and fresh ginger skewers are genius! The buttered potatoes at the end were pure happiness. If they were cleaner and friendlier, I would definitely visit more often.

Refilling the rice and feeling completely satisfied~ I will visit every day until the end of their business. Kushitori. A chain of yakitori restaurants located in Sapporo city. They offer delicious yakitori at affordable prices. Some of the restaurants also serve lunch. They have a lineup of set meals that are irresistible to those who love fried food. Located at Minami 2-jo Nishi 3-chome, in the basement of a building. Despite multiple closures due to the state of emergency and prevention measures against the spread of Covid-19, they reopened for business on February 25th! I arrived around 1:00 PM. I descended the stairs to the basement and entered the restaurant. There is a hand sanitizer at the entrance. Upon opening the glass door, I stepped inside. The interior is long and narrow, with the kitchen space on the left, counter seats in front, and bench-style seating for two people. Partitions are set up for infection prevention. Each table also has partitions, and there are some raised seating areas, although they were not in use. It was not too crowded as the peak hours had passed. The staff greeted me and allowed me to choose my seat. I sat at the counter, where the lunch menu photos are displayed with a privacy screen to block the view of the kitchen. For the lunch set, you first purchase a meal ticket from the vending machine, then take your seat. When your order is ready, you are called by number to pick it up at the counter, and after finishing your meal, you take your dishes to the dish return area. Refills of rice and cabbage are available. Previously it was self-service, but due to Covid-19, the current system involves asking the staff for refills at the counter. I love fried food, so I always have a hard time choosing, but this time I chose the "Surprise Chicken Cutlet Set" for 600 yen. The large chicken cutlet is very filling and satisfying. It occupies the entire plate. It has a nice crispy texture and a good color. The miso soup comes with fried tofu, green onions, and shredded kelp. The side dish is macaroni salad. The cabbage refill is served on a plate. At other restaurants, the staff would pour sauce or dressing, but here you can do it yourself, which is nice for controlling the amount. The restaurant is completely non-smoking. There is a designated smoking area inside for those who smoke, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about cigarette smoke. It's really convenient.

Susukotori is a place where Hokkaido people's hearts rely on. I would like to conquer all the shops in Sapporo if possible, but for now, I'll settle for this one that I came across. It seems they will start charging a seating fee from now on. One hundred yen. This may also have mixed opinions, but I don't mind at all. Things are tough right now, so I'm happy to pay the hundred yen! I ordered the usual mochi bacon and eggplant. Sometimes it's good to try something different, but I'm satisfied with the classics. The early bird discount on the highball was nice and cold. Highballs are dangerous because you can easily drink more and more. Enjoyed two highballs with the same old soup and grated daikon, and that's it for today. Even if the hundred yen fee becomes two hundred yen someday, I will keep coming as long as I can stay in Hokkaido. That's how I feel.

You can choose most menu items for just one coin. Plus, rice and cabbage are free refills. It felt like heaven here. On this day, I chose the minced cutlet set meal. The minced cutlet, freshly fried after ordering, tasted amazing. The yakitori at night is great, but the yakitori during the day is also fantastic.

Just a little bit in the mood to drink, feeling excited, but I wonder if more shops are closed now? Oh, I've heard of Kushitori before, but I've never been inside. Alright, let's go in! Descending the stairs to the basement, feeling excited. After sanitizing my hands, I enter the crowded shop. I am seated at the counter. It's actually nice to dine alone, with partitions for safety. "Highball, please!" I order beef tongue and pork seasoned with sauce, one each, and also cheese and avocado, and chicken with wasabi, two each. I don't have photos of the first three dishes, even though I thought I took them. The chicken with wasabi is piping hot and when I put it in my mouth, I can't help but moan in pleasure! The spiciness of the wasabi intensifies with the heat, it's irresistible. Another highball please! The beloved mountain wasabi is undeniably delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Daikoku Station, Tanukikoji area. It's been a while since I had yakitori. If I go two weeks without it, I start to have withdrawal symptoms! Haha. After finishing a seminar, it's time for a second round at Zero. Highball please! Right away, we got complimentary grated radish and soup! You can tell if a restaurant is good or bad by how smoothly things go, right? Our order was: tender miso hormone, premium beef sagari, cartilage meatball, super spicy green nanban meatball, cheese and bacon, chicken with wasabi. Added salted hormone and tender miso hormone. I can now order without looking at the menu! Oh, I forgot it's the second round and ordered too much. First up, cheese and bacon! You have to eat this while it's hot. It's so melty! Miso hormone. It's a bit undercooked, but the seasoning is good. This sauce is delicious! I love these thin slices of hormone! I had to get more. Premium beef sagari. The small pieces on top are small, but the ones in the middle and at the bottom are big and tasty! They're juicy and delicious! The cartilage and green nanban meatballs are always good! I went to Kushitori Sanbangai store for the first time! I found it! Is this area Sanbangai? It's underground and it's about to open at 4:30pm. I'm the first customer. The store is quite spacious with private rooms available. I sit at the L-shaped counter. I order a Super Dry beer and try the seared Kachokavalo, gizzard, cartilage, and Nanban tsukune. Everything is delicious, especially the Kachokavalo which has a unique mochi and cheese flavor. The gizzard is crispy and goes well with beer. The cartilage and Nanban tsukune are also tasty. I order another beer and more customers start coming in. The place is getting crowded, but the service is still great. Thank you, Kushitori Sanbangai store!

We had a New Year's drinking party and ended up at Kushitori San for the third round. We stumbled upon the store in Sanbangai. The place was pretty crowded, but luckily there was a seat available. Oh, the menu is touch screen. I wonder if everywhere is becoming like this. Well, it's fine with me. After drinking quite a bit, I toasted with a lemon sour instead of beer. I'm not good at squeezing lemons, so I asked my partner to do it (laughs). Many of the skewers were sold out, but we ordered randomly. I'm not a big fan of mochi, but since it was the New Year season, I tried the mochi bacon (laughs). It's delicious when you eat it occasionally! Yeah, it's nice once in a while. The cheese tsukune was consistently great. And the shiso roll was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I purchased my first Chicken Nanban set meal from the ticket machine. It was bustling with customers. Lunch used to not be so crowded, but it's a great deal at this price. I had a good impression of the fried chicken set meal I had before, so I had high expectations for the Chicken Nanban. I waited for about 10 minutes until my ticket number was called. The fried chicken was coated in a sweet sauce with a small amount of tartar sauce on the side. The taste matched the price. It's not something to get too excited about, but the all-you-can-eat cabbage and rice offer is cost-effective. I will definitely visit again.

We ordered a few skewers as shown in the photo and had 2-3 drinks. Considering the prices, the yakitori was of sufficient and consistent quality. Thank you for the meal."

The lunch at Itokitori is very cost-effective. This time, I tried the menchi-katsu for the first time. When you purchase your meal ticket from the machine and wait at your seat, your number will be called. When my number was called and I went to pick up my set meal, it had two menchi-katsu. They looked the same as the ones I bought at the supermarket yesterday. They tasted the same too? You can eat as much rice and cabbage as you want, which is a good deal, but is that all? I have had lunch here many times, and so far, my favorite is the Big Chicken Katsu. Next time, maybe I'll try the fried chicken?

When I think about it, it's like a popular original "Senbero" restaurant, isn't it? Senbero, like Kushitori. Until 7 pm, highballs are cheap, so it cost about 1500 yen per person. I hope that even after the tax increase, Kushitori, with its unchanged prices, remains reasonable and has lively customer service.

This yakitori restaurant doesn't have shiitake mushrooms, but they have maitake mushrooms. Maitake mushroom skewers are also delicious. If you ever go to Sapporo, you must make a reservation and try this yakitori restaurant. In addition to yakitori, we also had kamameshi and other dishes, and the total bill for 5 people was around 14,000 yen, which I think is cheap. Definitely make a reservation and try this restaurant when you visit Sapporo.

On March 5, 2019, I watched a movie at home, had ramen at Omifune, watched another movie at the factory, and then decided to have a quick drink. I visited a place that opened at 4:30 PM. I ordered a beer and some skewers. The manager recommended a special menu which was cheaper than the regular menu. It included my favorites like salt hormone and chicken skin. They also had a great deal on highball drinks until 7 PM. I tried various skewers and had a few highball refills. The total bill was around 2000 yen. It was a great experience at Kushitori.

I felt like eating yakitori and wanted to go somewhere cheap, so I chose Kushi Tori! They had a special promotion for mochi bacon and hormone dishes. As always, the skewers were delicious and the cost performance was great. I enjoyed it and will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal!
