This was my first visit to the popular sushi restaurant Takahashi in Komagome. I was able to use a certain ticket to get a good deal on the 14,155 yen per person course. However, it can be difficult to make a reservation on weekends because it is crowded. Nevertheless, the high ratings of the restaurant were well deserved. The restaurant had a clean interior, the hospitality of the waitstaff, the communication skills of the head chef serving sushi, and the freshness and deliciousness of the Edomae sushi were all highly rated. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the sushi rice was a bit too soft. I definitely want to visit again.

"Sushi Takahashi" is a long-established sushi restaurant located a 2-3 minute walk from the south exit of JR Yamanote Line Komagome Station on Hongo Street. It has been featured in various media such as "Ad Street Heaven" and is often difficult to make reservations on holidays. I visited alone on a Saturday at 1 pm after making a reservation. The interior of the restaurant has a traditional atmosphere with a clean and calm ambiance. There are 8 counter seats and one table for 4 people. The lunch menu offers two types of nigiri courses and two types of chirashi sushi courses. I ordered the "Takara Nigiri Course (¥8,000 tax included)". The course lineup for the day included 7 dishes of seasonal dishes and 14 pieces of nigiri. The "Ikura Donburi" dish had a delightful texture with popping ikura and the sweetness of the shrimp flakes. The "Live Oyster" nigiri was a unique piece only available at this restaurant, with a juicy texture and perfect harmony with the vinegar rice. The "Aburi Otoro" nigiri was served with a spoon, offering a thick and satisfying bite. The conversation with the head chef was enjoyable, and overall, it was a very satisfying lunch. With a price of under ¥10,000, it was reasonable, and I look forward to visiting regularly in the future.

I visited for lunch. The sushi I had made to order was all exquisite! The medium fatty tuna was incredibly delicious. The restaurant was almost full during lunchtime. The salmon roe, said to be the most delicious this season, was also very tasty! The staff were nice, and I could feel the owner's dedication. Thank you for the meal! I would like to visit again.

It's been a while since my last post, but Sushi Takahashi in Komagome, which I visit once a month, is still the best! The sushi is incredibly delicious! While there are many delicious restaurants all over the country, my husband and I believe that this place is the best in terms of sushi, drinks, and service. We will continue to visit every month.

I went to Komagome's famous sushi restaurant, Sushi Takahashi, after a long time. Personally, I think it's the best sushi restaurant. The Oma tuna was very beautiful and all the ingredients were top-notch. This time, I paired it with Kenzo Estate Ai and it was a happy experience.

Due to an emergency situation, I haven't been able to visit my beloved Takahashi-san for a while. The wine introduced by the owner as a hobby turned out to be Kenzo's favorite! The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and the owner's talk and personality make it the best sushi restaurant! From my research, it is the best sushi restaurant in Japan.

I had tried to make a reservation several times but it didn't work out until now. I visited the restaurant at noon, and there were already 2 customers when I arrived. 30 minutes later, the place was full. It seemed to be popular among elderly people. The 8000 yen course included edamame, eggplant pickles, salmon roe rice bowl, marinated bonito, conger eel liver, dried halibut sashimi, and chawanmushi served before the sushi. It was quite filling for those with small appetites. Then came the sushi - flounder marinated in kelp, golden eye snapper, squid, marinated tuna, medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, seared fatty tuna, minced fatty tuna with green onions, sea urchin, horse mackerel, and egg. A soup was also served at the end, and I left feeling very satisfied. Honestly, for those with small appetites, just the sushi might be enough. I'm glad I found a restaurant in Komagome that I can use again. I will definitely visit again!

I visited Takahashi-san at Komagome Station. The exterior and interior had the atmosphere of a long-established shop in the city, and I thought it must be a shop loved by local residents for decades. However, it gave me the impression of a quite modern sushi restaurant. Some sushi chefs criticize newly opened shops as being against tradition, but the head chef here seemed to embrace and practice the good aspects of such places. The taste of the sushi at this long-established restaurant was outstandingly delicious. I admired the head chef for running the business without being bound by fixed ideas. I will definitely visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is a restaurant where I always get treated by a respected teacher! The sushi here is really, really delicious! You can feel the master's skills! I haven't eaten enough sushi to be able to say much about it, but among the sushi I know in Tokyo, I think this is the best! Whenever the teacher who always invites me calls, I always beg to go to Sushi Takahashi! Especially the oyster and sea urchin sushi are exquisite! The sake is served in the master's carefully selected glassware! Thank you for the delicious meal as always! The restaurant may have a high threshold and be hard to visit, but it's a place I love because the food is so delicious!

On Christmas Eve, I spent time with my family at the famous restaurant Sushi Takahashi in Komagome. Every year, at the end of the year, we go there to enjoy their special menu item, anglerfish hot pot. If we're lucky, we may get to have it twice a year. The anglerfish hot pot here is so delicious that once you try it, you won't be able to enjoy it anywhere else.

I have been wanting to visit this sushi restaurant for a while and finally had the chance. They had the latest air purifiers used in hospitals for COVID-19 prevention, and everything was well sanitized with alcohol. The restaurant was full even on a weekday lunch, showing that it is indeed a popular spot. The meal started with small appetizers, followed by a delicious ikura chirashi sushi, and then the highlight - nigiri sushi. My personal favorites were the sweet shrimp, saltwater sea urchin, konoshiro (gizzard shad), and grilled conger eel. The pickled ginger served here is the best I've ever had. The homemade pickled ginger and kampyo (dried gourd strips) were exceptional. The chef mentioned that they put a lot of effort into simple ingredients. A truly amazing dining experience. I will definitely come back again.

It's a famous restaurant. In a way, I don't want to tell you about it, but it was featured on "Ad Street Heaven" in 2012 and 2020. If it were in Ginza instead of Komagome, the prices would be twice as high. It's a restaurant that values its regular customers.

I visited Sushi Takahashi, a famous restaurant in Komagome introduced on Ad-machi-koku Tengoku. It's a place I always go to, so I was thrilled to see it on TV. This is the best Edo-style sushi in Tokyo. Delicious sushi and delicious sake! Once again, I felt happy.

Visited the restaurant for the first time during lunch. I was aware of the information about the place, but the price range made me hesitate, and I lacked the courage to enter the establishment for a long time. The result was great, simply delicious! (Great call, wife!!) I made a reservation and visited at 13:15 on the weekend. Located just a 1-minute walk from JR "Komagome Station", this is an authentic Edomae sushi restaurant tucked away from Hongo Street. The interior of the restaurant has a total of 14 seats (8 counter seats, 6 private rooms), making it a small-sized establishment. The head chef, Shinichi Takahashi, and his two sons were managing the restaurant. I ordered the "Kame 6000 yen" nigiri set for lunch, and here is my review of the content and experience: Appetizer: Tuna, Octopus, Seaweed with vinegar miso dressing - Good. Tuna simmered in soy sauce - Excellent. Bonito with green onion - Excellent. Chopped green onion with ginger soy sauce, thickly sliced high-quality bonito - Good. Rice with salmon roe and green onion - Good. Hand-rolled sushi with amberjack - Good. Golden eye snapper - Good. Botan shrimp - Good. Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) - Good. Mackerel - Excellent. Horse mackerel - Excellent. Sea bream - Excellent. Japanese eggplant - Excellent. Seaweed soup - Excellent. Sea urchin from Iwate - Good. Marinated tuna - Good. Medium fatty tuna - Good. Rolled tuna - Excellent. Dessert: Plum wine jelly - Excellent. Tea - Excellent. Beer: Premium Malt's - Good. The background music was easy listening. The customers were mostly elderly couples and families from the neighborhood. The restaurant was about 80% full, with a 50% female ratio. At the time of my visit, the restaurant had a rating of 3.63 on Tabelog. The fish is sourced from Tsukiji Market, towels are from Imabari, toothpicks are from Kuro Modji, and the glasses are Edo Kiriko. The attention to detail in every aspect of the Edomae sushi experience left a lasting impression. The warmth of the Takahashi family added an extra touch to the delicious Sunday lunch.
