I love カリー
On October 30, 2015 (Friday), I visited Tsubo Hachi in Shinro, which was my second visit after a long time. This time, my wife wanted to eat vegetables outside, so the only option was to choose an izakaya due to the environment, and since we had already been to Shirakiya in the summer, we naturally ended up visiting here. We entered the restaurant around 7 pm, which was the second Friday after payday, so the noise inside the restaurant was beyond imagination. We were seated in a private raised seating area near the entrance with a TV (I wonder if all the rooms are in this style?), and we ordered drinks and food. The edamame and shiokara were as expected, and pork skewers and fried foods were quickly brought to us. I was surprised by this, and I became curious about their cooking system. The dishes we ordered (all prices excluding tax) were: - Edamame (298 yen): Tasted like frozen. Possibly from China? NP. - Salted squid guts (260 yen): Spicy - of course. I wanted some white rice. NP. - Warm egg Caesar salad (450 yen): Standard taste. The amount was reasonable, so we ended up ordering two. - French fries (340 yen): Also standard taste. The size of the potatoes was good. - Crispy fried sandfish (450 yen): Chosen by my wife, a bit greasy according to her. Finished it all. - Pork skewers (370 yen): Delicious when freshly grilled, but isn't 370 yen for two skewers a bit expensive? - Salmon and salmon roe parent and child sushi (480 yen): A closing dish. The appearance was a bit messy, the taste was NP. We also had two beers, one oolong tea, and after about an hour, the bill came out to be just under 5,000 yen. Well, that seems reasonable. Since it's a rare izakaya visit for us, I was thinking of ordering something we don't usually eat, but the menu here had mostly orthodox items, which left me with a complex feeling. However, the speed of serving the dishes after ordering was noteworthy, and there is no doubt that there will be a reason for a revisit. The staff's customer service was good, so the next visit won't be too far away, I suppose. ^^
