It is a designated rare disease by the government that worsens symptoms especially in hot weather. There is still no medicine to cure my rare disease. Temporary improvement of symptoms can be achieved by administering "blood products" for 5 consecutive days. I was hospitalized 5 times last year for rare disease treatment. I was discharged for the third time this year two months ago, but had to be discharged for the fourth time two weeks ago. Your supportive comments have always been a source of energy for me during hospitalization. I am truly grateful. Thank you for your continued support. [October 2022] I have been discharged, but will be reviewing based on my condition. Due to poor health, comments and replies are significantly delayed. I will respond gradually as my condition improves, so please be patient. "Tonkatsu Wako" is a nationwide chain of tonkatsu restaurants with over 260 stores. There are several stores in Sapporo, mainly in the city center of Sapporo. In Sapporo's department stores, they only offer takeout. This particular store offers both dining and takeout options. "Tonkatsu Wako RASOLA Sapporo Store" opened on October 17, 2022. I visited with my usual companion promptly after the opening. The store is located in the Higashi-Sapporo area of Shiroishi-ku, Sapporo, on the second floor of RASOLA Sapporo along Minamigo Street. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. I visited around 10:30 am on a weekday. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere. There were 2 groups of customers before us and many customers after us. We waited for the opening at 11 am. To celebrate the opening, from October 17th to 3 days later, the "Tonkatsu Rice" was discounted to 1,000 yen from 1,330 yen. The "Wako Rice" during lunchtime is 950 yen but the tonkatsu portion is smaller. Also, the set meal includes free refills of rice, miso soup, and shredded cabbage. Both of us ordered the "Tonkatsu Rice". After a 13-minute wait, our two "Tonkatsu Set Meals" arrived. Tonkatsu Rice Grand Menu Tonkatsu Special Loin Cutlet is a thick, voluminous tonkatsu. Although it is thick, the meat is tender. The cutlet is fried crispy and golden. The side dish is shredded cabbage with unlimited refills. There are no lemon slices or spicy pickles. The miso soup is simple with clam miso soup. It has over 10 baby clams. There are no vegetables like green onions, but the clam flavor is delicious. Rice is also refillable. Price 1,330 yen → 1,000 yen (including tax) "Tonkatsu Rice is a tonkatsu set meal with Special Loin Cutlet (620). The Special Loin Cutlet is indeed impressive. I had one refill each of miso soup and shredded cabbage. I refrained from getting a rice refill (laughs). They also offer a limited-time "Sauce Cutlet Bowl" exclusive to the Niigata store. It is the first time it is available in Sapporo. I might try the "Sauce Cutlet Bowl" next time. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I felt like eating tonkatsu and went to Wako. The lunch menu is very affordable. I had the Wako rice. The tonkatsu was crispy and very delicious. It's great that you can get seconds of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The miso soup with clams was also excellent.

We decided to stop by here on our way back from seeking some coolness in Tomakomai and craving for some meat. It was my first time at Wako, and I didn't even know it was a nationwide chain. The special loin cutlet with rice was amazing! The cutlet was bite-sized and very easy to eat. The miso sauce that came with it was incredibly delicious! It made me feel like I was in Nagoya... The sauce was sweet and thick, perfect for pouring over rice. The shiso salt and grated daikon were also tasty, but the cutlet itself was light and refreshing, so I personally think the miso sauce was the clear winner. The rice was shiny and perfectly cooked. The miso soup had plenty of clams in it! The yuzu dressing was also delicious and made the cabbage go down easily. It's common for tonkatsu restaurants to offer free refills of rice, cabbage, and miso soup, which is great for food lovers like me. Wako has other branches, so if I feel like eating it again, I might try another location next time... I'm glad I got to eat here this time! Thank you, Wu-ta!!! (((orz

I was asked by my mother to go out for lunch, and we ended up at a place where I didn't know there were seats further inside because we always get seated near the entrance. It reminded me of when we went to Washoku 905 before. I had the "Hanagoyomi" set which included Sakura shrimp cream croquette, shrimp fry, a bite-sized hirakatsu, chawanmushi, and cheese-filled menchikatsu as an extra. The chawanmushi here is surprisingly delicious, isn't it? Thank you for the meal.

Visited for lunch for the first time. They provided tea and paper towels. There are 6 lunch menu options. I ordered the "Sumire" for 1,180 yen, which includes one bite each of shrimp, crab cream croquette, and rice. The portions of the cutlets are small, with a crispy coating. The sauce is tangy, and the tartar sauce is smooth. The cabbage is fresh and crunchy. You can have unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. The yuzu dressing is light and refreshing. The sauce was my favorite part. The rice was soft on the first serving and firmer on the second. The miso soup has small clams. They serve tea in a small teapot when you order a set, which is nice. Next time, I want to try the pork cutlet. They don't have a cutlet bowl on the menu, but it's available for takeout. (January 2023)

I didn't realize it was open. There doesn't seem to be anyone waiting so I decided to go in. The seats were quite full, with many families dining. What should I eat? I ordered the "Ushio" seafood platter. It included one bite deep-fried fish, shrimp fry, Hokkaido cod fry, and crab cream croquette. It was delicious and the freshly fried fish was crispy. I especially recommend the cod! I also ordered the oyster fry as an extra. It came with cabbage and lemon, which was a nice touch. When I paid and left the restaurant, I found a showcase for takeout. There were many tempting items, but I was too full to try anything else. I'll look forward to it next time!

On a certain weekday, I visited a tonkatsu restaurant located on the 2nd floor of LaSora in Higashi Sapporo, which opened relatively recently. The parking lot at LaSora allows for 3 hours of parking with purchases over 1000 yen. The restaurant is located in the B Town 2nd floor restaurant area, where it seems difficult for businesses to establish themselves. This time, Wako-san has opened a restaurant there, with a variety of small and large table seats inside. The background music playing is a melancholic piano melody. From the menu on that day, there was an open campaign for take-out bento, but I decided to dine in and splurged on the "W Wako Rice (1380 yen)". It was ready in about 15 minutes. The tonkatsu looked good with a crispy and fragrant bread crumb coating. The meat had a decent thickness of around 150-180g, not too fatty or lean, and was complemented well by the slightly sweet and sour sauce. I enjoyed it with plenty of mustard towards the end. Two pieces of tonkatsu were quite satisfying. The cabbage with yuzu dressing, rice with small grains and a hint of sweetness, pickles, miso soup with pickled vegetables and clams were all free for refills, which was nice. I finished with a cup of green tea. I couldn't help but compare the price of this tonkatsu restaurant in Sapporo to similar ones in Hokkaido, which tend to be slightly more expensive. Overall, it was a satisfying and reasonably priced lunch experience. Thank you for the meal.

When I bought a crepe in Maruyama, something really good happened (*^^*) And something good happened here too (*^^*) Because it's the opening day, you can get a pork cutlet with rice for 1,000 yen instead of the usual 1,330 yen for the first 3 days after opening \(^o^)/ Rice, miso soup, and cabbage refills are free, which is quite nice♪ So, I decided to go for the extra rice from the start w. After trying it, I thought the batter might be made of fresh bread crumbs? It's crispy but gentle on the mouth♪ The meat is thick and tender (*^^*) It's strange that I don't smell the greasy pork smell. It might be good for those who prefer tenderloin cutlets, but for those who like a more porky taste like Tonkatsu, it might feel a bit lacking (sweat). It's delicious, but I can't really salivate, you know? I couldn't gobble up the rice like usual (^_^;) Normally, after eating one serving with pickles, cabbage, and miso soup, I could go for another serving of cutlet, but this time, I used up everything just eating one serving (^_^;) Maybe it was because I had the crepe first (^_^;)

When did they add... crispy pork loin, crunchy shrimp fry with plenty of rice, miso soup, all-you-can-eat cabbage, and a luxurious addition of crab cream croquette. Thank you for the delicious lunch.
