[Visit Date] Holiday at 2:00 PM, takeout used. [Queue] 10 people. However, no wait as it was reserved. [Purpose] Takeout for a home party. [Reason for Visit] Always curious about the restaurant. Ordered on the pretext of a home party. Celebrating a once-a-year birthday at home, started with buying a cake. Since I could leave the order to them, I made a prior reservation at "Atesway," a place I've been curious about. Among the various options, I ordered a 12cm whole cake that resembled a shortcake. On the day of pickup, my schedule got delayed, and I arrived a bit later than planned. Upon reaching the store, there was a line of people buying cakes extending outside. However, since I had made a reservation, I smoothly completed the payment without waiting and received the item. ▪️ Shortcake 12cm ¥3,780 Ate it at home. Although it's a 12cm diameter cake, it's taller than expected and adorned with plenty of fruits. Strawberries, peaches, bananas, and various berries were generously used, creating a luxurious composition with soft sponge and ample cream. This is a unanimous family impression – the cake exuded a remarkable homemade feel, a warmth of being carefully crafted. Feeling that we enjoyed something good, thanks to the cake, made it a wonderful birthday. It was delicious. Thank you very much.

I visited around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. It seemed like I waited for about 15 minutes. After ordering and paying, I was directed to wait outside for pickup. There's a bike parking lot next to the building. There's also a gelato shop next door, which was open. Here's a quick review of what I ate: The Fromage and Choux Cream: Both were delicious, with the cream standing out. This place is definitely a step above your average 3.5-rated shop. Chocolate Cake: It was okay, but I felt there are better places out there, especially if you go for cakes where cream, not chocolate, is the main element. Gelato: I chose fruit sorbet. Nothing particularly noteworthy about it. The cone was good, but it didn't quite complement the sorbet. Considering the cake evaluation, I think I'll try cream-based gelato next time. Thanks for the meal!

I went to a gelato shop with a bakery, but they didn't have gelato. I bought a pistachio cake, a passion fruit eclair, and the darkest chocolate cake they had, but everything was overly sweet, and I couldn't finish them all.

The birthday cake I had was wonderful, despite getting bumped around a bit while being transported. It was loaded with lots of fruits both inside and on top, and the cream wasn't too sweet, complementing the fruits perfectly. I'd love to try their other cakes too!

My mother, who came to Tokyo after a long time, doesn't usually eat cake much, so she wanted to try a cake that would impress her. We went to this place, which ranked first in the cake rankings along the Chuo Line on Tabelog. Although the access wasn't great and there was a line around 4 p.m. on Saturday, we were able to buy without a reservation relatively quickly (though the variety might have decreased). We ate half of each cake at home, and each one exceeded our expectations in taste! My mother was also quite satisfied. While we might not have many chances to visit due to its location, it was definitely a cake that we would want to eat again.

A renowned sweets shop in Kichijoji, it had been five years since my last visit. The array of vibrant cakes was truly eye-catching, and each one was both beautiful and delicious! The "Roulé Special" is their signature Swiss roll, generously filled with mangoes, kiwis, bananas, and raspberries. Its soft and fluffy texture is exquisite, making it a Swiss roll unlike any other I've had elsewhere. The "Gateau au Fruit Saison" is a shortcake packed with various fruits, and the "Barquette au Fruit Exotique" features mangoes, passion fruit, bananas, and pineapples. Both fruit cakes are irresistibly delicious. The whipped cream on the shortcake was exceptional too. And the "Chocolat Noisette" was outstanding! Not overly bitter like some adult chocolate cakes, it strikes a perfect balance with a gentle sweetness from the milk chocolate, offering a smooth, melting texture and a rich, deep flavor. The walnut adds a nice texture, making it my personal favorite among the four items of the day. Although it's a bit far from the station and not easy to visit frequently, if it were closer, I'd want to come here every week. Please note that photography inside the shop is prohibited.

Last month I chose a sponge cake, so this time I went with a tart. There are many family birthdays around this time, so we end up buying a lot of cakes. I didn't hesitate to request this shop. I always think it would be nice if parking were a little easier. This time, too, my son's family, my daughter, and I all smiled and said, "It's delicious, isn't it?"

It's quite a walk from Nishi-Ogikubo Station to Patisserie Atsuwayi, so taking the bus might be better, especially on a scorching hot day like today. After paying at the register, you're left waiting in the blistering sun with no shade in front of the store. Despite expecting service akin to a French patisserie like Vandoos, the reality was quite different. There seemed to be a system, but with no clear instructions, it was chaotic with people mixing up between those waiting to order and those paying. I tried to be considerate, but apart from the staff, no one seemed to care. The attitude from the cashier was like a strict coach, devoid of any smiles. I apologized even though it wasn't my fault. I bought a "Cake Maron Te Veil" for ¥313. It was a baked confectionery made with Kyoto Uji matcha, candied chestnuts, and Gyokuro tea. Eating it, I couldn't shake off the memory of that unpleasant experience, so I only had a little and gave the rest to my family. The taste was just average. The kokeshi doll shop in front of Nishi-Ogikubo Station, on the other hand, was bright and the staff were very kind. It was a pleasant shopping experience there, and their products were delicious. On the way back, I found myself longing for that kokeshi shop. As for Atsuwayi, it seems like it appeared in a movie based on a manga, although I haven't seen it myself.

Good evening. I'm Kozue, a beauty acupuncture therapist. The other day, I visited a cake shop called Atasway in Ogikubo with a friend. It used to be my favorite cake shop, but it's quite far from home, so it's been a while since my last visit. This time, I bought the following cakes: 1. Fromage Citron Vert (Lime Cream Cheese) - ¥650 Lime-flavored cream cheese mousse with strawberry compote. The cream cheese mousse is very soft, and the lime flavor complements the cream well. Inside, there's plenty of strawberry compote, adding acidity that blends nicely. 2. Janduja Orange - ¥650 Layers of orange mousse, Janduja (hazelnut and chocolate), pistachio chocolate feuilletine, and orange macaron. The cake is coated with chocolate and has a complex flavor with citrus notes. The texture includes soft layers, crispy layers, and crunchy parts, making it quite delicious. Unfortunately, there is no eat-in option, and there's no place to eat on-site. They recommend using ice packs, but the cake should be consumed within around 45 minutes. It's a bit challenging for those not living nearby. Thanks for the delightful treats.

Movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006 Anime Version)" had the opportunity to watch in a revival screening. In the play, Makoto, the protagonist, gave a cake from here "Atesue" to a witch aunt who works at the museum. Director Mamoru Hosoda's work is known for featuring real company and shop names in the story, but did I just hear "Atesue"? That's what I was curious about while watching, and I completely ignored the time leap problem. After digging the net later, I found a lot of fan sites and analysis sites, and the fog that had been bothering me cleared up a little. I felt it. So I aimed for "Atesue" in the middle of summer to watch The Girl Who Leapt Through Time in real-time. When I got off at Nishi-Ogikubo Station, a bus happened to be stopped, so I jumped on it. The time required was about 5 minutes, but it's impressive to see a large bus running smoothly through a narrow alley where even a passenger car can hardly pass. The nearest bus stop is Tonjoko and Tokyo Women's University. I heard that it was the model for the high school Makoto attends. Ah, "Atesue" is right in front of me, and I heard that the area around Nishi-Ogikubo to Kichijoji is the setting for the work. A crowd suddenly appeared in the quiet residential area. Despite that, I could see that several store clerks wearing white uniforms were walking back and forth inside the building, and I felt a sense of reality. I thought the crowd in front of the store was waiting for customers, and I waited a little back, but I was urged by the clerk to enter. It seems that the people waiting outside were waiting for the packaging of the cakes they bought. Despite being said to be Japan's best patisserie, the store inside is not that large and the lineup is not that large. It was said that a young apprentice clerk would come out and explain the products. Let's trust the helmsman and get on the boat. There was nothing that really caught my eye, so I thought for a while and went back and forth in front of the showcase. It will be another month before the release of the Mon Blanc, which is the signature of this place. What am I supposed to eat until then? ... His strong recommendation for pistachio, I'll take it as a personal opinion. I don't know the name of the cake that Makoto gave to the witch aunt. It's fun for fans to imagine various things while doing a pilgrimage. By the way, photography inside the store is prohibited. Among the customers who rushed in, there were also those who were rude and aimed only at beauty and topicality, and they did various things. I can't believe there used to be an eat-in before the move. In the end, I purchased Shoes a la Cream @390, Cappuccino @630, and Eclair au Fruit Exotic @520 based on my intuition. I thought I would be driven out of the store after paying, but since there were no other customers, I waited at the back of the store. I was recommended to purchase an additional cold storage bag, but I politely declined and decided to dash home. I think it was said that it wouldn't last about 40 minutes under the blazing sun. You can see that the young pastry chefs in the back workshop are very active. I wonder if this also serves as a training school, and there may be future pastry chefs leaving here. *How is the shape maintained with such a thin outer skin, there is even a touching Shoes a la Cream. The custard cream, which is packed tightly, has a slight flavor of cocoa or caramel, and is topped with crushed nuts. When I eat Eclair, I feel like I'm eating a doll-town "Shoe Clique". The exotic eclair, which has a name that seems to bite my tongue. As for the internal structure that looks like a giant pea exploded, it's a pie base with custard/cream/sandwiched again with pie dough. The top coat is coated with citrus-based coating, and the nuance of exoticism comes across. Bananas, pineapples, and mangoes are hidden in the cream to create a tropical atmosphere. Quite a bitter cappuccino for adults. Mocha cream with bitter chocolate and additional chocolate to make chocolate lovers groan. Coated with chocolate coated with crushed nuts. It's like a complete=-=-=-=-=

My daughter made a reservation and brought home some desserts, even though my grandson is supposed to dislike sweet things, he couldn't stop eating them. The fruits, cream, and sponge were all exquisite. The limited parking space was a bit inconvenient. I've already made a reservation for next time (September 2nd). I highly recommend their Mont Blanc to everyone!

I visited amid scorching heat, but unfortunately, I had to abandon the idea of carrying cake as it wouldn't last with ice packs for long. Instead, I opted for the Cakes Chocolat Fidat, which includes cookies and pound cake. The pound cake, a popular choice, is a chocolate pound cake adorned with dried fruits like figs, apricots, oranges, and berries. It's a delightful blend of tangy fruits and chocolate, and at 1750 yen, quite reasonable. The cookies were irresistible too. While both are recommendable, the cakes here never disappoint, making them the ultimate recommendation. Blaming this weather trend lately.

Visited the shop at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Drove there. The shop's parking was full, so parked at the adjacent coin parking. Bought five cakes. The sponge was fluffy and the cream wasn't greasy, just sweet and delicious. The Mont Blanc, highly praised in online reviews, was not available as it's seasonal in autumn. Personally, it wasn't particularly impressive, but it felt like they made traditional cakes really tasty.

The three top patisseries in Tokyo that I decided on are Paris-Sevei in Jiyugaoka, Egurudoosu in Mejiro, and Atesuwei in Nishi-Ogikubo. However, I prefer baked sweets... Atesuwei has been a long-standing challenge for me (because it's far from the station, it kept getting postponed). Ironically, I visited on a scorching hot day today. (For reference, it's a 15-minute walk from Nishi-Ogikubo Station, and I could take a bus back to Nishi-Ogikubo Station from right near the shop.) I bought a bar chocolate and a Sicilian pistachio pastry. I tried the bar chocolate, and it was delicious! It's perfect for chocolate lovers, with a rich chocolate flavor that goes well with coffee. Money spent: 1,360 yen Score: 4.5 points 5 points: Definitely want to revisit!! 4 points: Would like to revisit if given the chance! 3 points: Can revisit. 2 points: Once is enough. 1 point: No need to go.

I went to Atsuei, where I've been wanting to go for years. The takeout items I got were peach shortcake, pistachio and berry cake, and banana caramel mille-feuille. The peach shortcake was amazing. The sponge cake was fluffy, the whipped cream was elegantly delicious, and it had a nostalgic feel to it. The pistachio and berry cake was also delicious with no flaws. The banana caramel mille-feuille was boldly delicious. It left a strong impression, like the king of the Nishi-Tokyo area. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

On Thursday morning at 10:45 AM, I got off at the north exit of Nishi-Ogikubo Station and walked northwest for about 15 minutes. I arrived just as the place was opening, so I went straight in and ordered a cream puff for 388 yen. I ate it in a nearby park after walking a bit, and the cream was incredibly rich and delicious - absolutely irresistible. It was a hot day, so it really lifted my spirits! Thank you for the meal! I'll definitely go back again. ^ ^

I wanted to go so badly... I set out for Atsuei on a weekday morning. I'm so excited!! I remember the old days when I could buy without waiting in line. Those nostalgic times. I visited around 12:30 on Friday, surprisingly not too crowded. Finally got to try the roll cakes I've been longing for! ◎ Sicilian Pistachio ¥630 Pistachio mousse, hazelnut cream, chocolate mousse, pistachio biscuit. ◎ Caramel Hazelnut Lemon ¥680 Tart with caramel and lemon, chocolate mousse, 70% hazelnut, lemon cream. ◎ Grapefruit Shubst Mousse ¥680 Grapefruit shubst and jelly citrus fruit tart, crafty. ◎ Lulu Special Roll ¥480 Made with mango, kiwi, and raspberry. ◎ Rum Raisin Cookies What surprised me the most was the grapefruit shubst! The harmony between delicious caramel and citrus is amazing. The balance of the whole is also incredible! The pistachio is just right and complements the chocolate well. The caramel hazelnut exceeded my expectations with its rich caramel flavor! The crispy tart and hazelnut sensation are impressive too! Should have bought more of this... Can't forget the refreshing sponge cake roll. Atsuei is irresistible with its caramel, chocolate, and chestnut flavors. Everything you crave for. My desire to go has been satisfied once again... I want to go again. I just love it. Thank you for the treat. ※ Couldn't take many photos.

I've been there a few times, but this time I didn't come specifically for Mont Blanc. It's been a while. The peach shortcake had a weak peach flavor, and I felt that it wasn't well-balanced as a shortcake. The strawberry shortcake was tastier. The chocolate options were delicious. Next time, I want to line up again during the Mont Blanc season.

The shop, pronounced as "Atesuwei," consistently ranks high in the nationwide sweets rankings on Tabelog. It's located far from Yokohama Station, in Nishi-Ogikubo Station, requiring a walk of over 10 minutes. Despite the distance, my husband went out of his way to buy me a birthday cake from there. The interior was off-limits for photography, so I only managed to snap a photo of the sign outside. Unlike other top-rated shops, there was no queue, making the purchase smooth. Perhaps the inconvenience of access contributed to this ease. Additionally, there's a café where you can enjoy ice cream and cake. We celebrated with the cake, and the kids loved the macarons we bought. The fruit shortcake was delicious with plenty of fresh strawberries, moist sponge, and subtly sweet cream, typical of a highly-rated shop. However, it's a stretch to say this cake alone represents top 10 nationwide taste. To avoid sounding presumptuous, my husband also bought other cakes. Yet, despite the delicate balance of sweetness and bitterness in the specialty Caramel Dance, it lacks originality, employing a technique now common everywhere. It's hard to justify giving all these cakes in the 4-point range. Perhaps I need to try their most popular Mont Blanc to truly understand their prowess, although the thought of trekking all the way to Nishi-Ogikubo Station is daunting.

Atesuwayi, a super popular spot in Nishi-Ogikubo, often has lines forming 30 minutes before opening. This time, I arrived an hour early and secured the coveted first spot in line. With a wide variety of cakes to choose from, I spent about 15 minutes deciding (laughs). Now, as for the taste of the cake, it was neither exceptionally good nor bad – just a safe, average flavor.

Entering without waiting at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday is great. There's a parking lot nearby, which is very convenient. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and each one is meticulously crafted. I really appreciate it. In the fall, I want to try the Mont Blanc! Sicilian Pistachio for 680 yen, Gianduja Orange for 702 yen, and Choux à la Crème for 421 yen.
