I searched for a restaurant called "Yu-Haruka" in the Sapporo Ramen Alley from the train from Kushiro to Sapporo, and it seemed like a good choice. I checked into my hotel in Sapporo and went straight to the restaurant. It was a nostalgic place at the entrance of the Sapporo Ramen Alley. The restaurant seemed a bit run-down now. Inside, there were 6 high school girls in uniforms sitting at the counter. There was only one man working at the restaurant, and he was busy preparing the orders for the high school girls. The menu had a variety of unique ramen options such as garlic salt butter ramen, seafood tonkotsu soy sauce ramen, tomato ramen, seafood ramen, miso cheese ramen, etc. When I asked for a regular miso ramen, I was recommended the "Koji Miso Ramen," so I ordered that. However, the high school girls' ramen came out first. They had ordered different types of ramen, one after another. It surprised me to see that each of them had ordered a different ramen. In the past, I would have thought that ordering the same ramen, for example, kombu salt scallop ramen, at the same time would be faster. But they seemed to prioritize their individual preferences. The restaurant owner seemed used to this or maybe he just had a strong sense of service. He even offered to take a group photo of the high school girls. They gladly accepted, and he took a photo with a wide-angle mode on one of their phones. It was a quick and efficient process. Then my Koji Miso Ramen was ready. It had lots of green onions and a big slice of chashu pork. I asked the owner to take a photo of me with my ramen, and he did so without hesitation. This was a first for me. Thanks to the high school girls, I had a great experience. The ramen was delicious, with flavorful soup, noodles, and chashu. It was comparable to the ramen at Fujuya Noodle in the New Ramen Alley. The high school girls finished eating, and each of them paid separately in different ways. They thanked the owner and left the restaurant. It was amazing to see how they valued individuality and expressed gratitude. I was touched by their actions. The younger generation these days... it used to be a derogatory phrase, but now it means valuing individuality and expressing gratitude. It's great that high school trips are allowed now. I was also impressed by the owner of the restaurant. Not only was the ramen delicious, but the service was also excellent. It would have been unbelievable in the old days. I learned a lot from them, and I am grateful. Thank you so much. And the owner of the restaurant is also amazing. The taste of the ramen was great, and so was the service. We shouldn't be bound by old fixed ideas, we should act in a Reiwa era style.

I had the Garlic Miso Ramen (1000 yen). It had lots of fried garlic and black garlic oil in a rich miso soup, creating a delicious and flavorful broth. The miso was thick and rich but not too salty, making it easy to drink. The medium-thick curly noodles were firm and coated well with the soup, making it even more delicious. The tender and meaty chashu was excellent. The crispy thick menma was soft and tasty. The soft-boiled egg was runny, and the stir-fried bean sprouts were flavorful when mixed with the soup. The fried garlic had a different aroma and flavor from raw garlic. The staff were polite and the atmosphere was nice.

"Salt ramen with kelp and scallops topped with butter! The scallops were large and the soup was delicious. I arrived around 13:30 and was 14th in line. There are 8 seats available. It's a one-person operation so it may take some time, but it's delicious so it's worth it. You can pay with PayPay."

I came to Sapporo and decided to try ramen, so I went to Ramen Yokocho. It had the longest line. I ordered the kombu and scallop salt ramen. The kombu and broth were a great combination and it was delicious. The staff were also very friendly. It was a great experience.

I vaguely remember being recommended "Higuma" but I had never been to the Ramen Alley before. I decided to take the plunge and visit the Sapporo Ramen Alley. I knew there were two ramen alleys, but I had never visited either the Susukino Shin Ramen Alley or the original Sapporo Ramen Alley. Higuma is actually located in the original one. I was indecisive about where to go, but I was drawn to this particular shop by its name. Although it didn't have the highest rating on Tabelog, it had the longest line. The menu stated that the miso cheese ramen was the most popular, but the shop guide in the Ramen Alley recommended the "Kombu Salt Scallop Ramen," so I ordered that. The shop seemed very busy with just one staff member. There were many foreign customers as well. Most of the other customers seemed to prefer lighter flavors. I wondered why no one had ordered the most popular miso cheese ramen. The most eye-catching ingredient in the bowl was the lotus root. I'm not used to seeing lotus root as a ramen topping, but it surprisingly worked well. The scallops were quite large and had a slightly raw texture, adding a nice sweetness to the salty broth. The soup had a good balance of saltiness and richness, a type not commonly found in Sapporo. I had always thought that the names of the Ramen Alley shops were more important, so this was a bit surprising. This shop is underrated. The line is honest.

The bass was good, but the taste of Sichuan pepper was too strong and didn't suit my palate at all. It wasn't very spicy, but more like salty and just tasted like that overpowering Sichuan pepper. I like blends with doubanjiang or chili oil with Sichuan pepper as an accent, so this was a bit too much for me. If you like Sichuan pepper, you might enjoy it.

The tourist taxi driver took us to the original Sapporo Ramen Yokocho as my parents wanted to eat a refreshing ramen. Sapporo ramen is known for its rich miso flavor, so the taxi driver smiled wryly. It was a Monday afternoon, and the Sapporo Ramen Yokocho that we had been looking forward to was like a shuttered shopping street, with only a few shops open. We skipped the ramen shops from Kuwana and Yokkaichi that have expanded to Sapporo and instead chose the salted kelp and scallop ramen based on the photo displayed outside the shop. Inside the shop, which had only an L-shaped counter, there was one other customer already seated. When we entered, half of the seats were filled. My parents ordered the salted kelp and scallop ramen, while I ordered the miso butter corn ramen. The soup was surprisingly mild, not as strong as I had expected. I had anticipated a thick and heavy ramen soup, but the soup at this shop was rich yet mild, likely to appeal to everyone. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles cooked to my liking, soft. Both the soup and noodles were piping hot and delicious! The toppings included butter, corn, baby corn, wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and two large slices of char siu for 1,050 yen. For a ramen with such generous toppings, it was quite a bargain. I tried my mother's salted kelp and scallop ramen, which had thin noodles with curls, cooked soft. The salt ramen soup was also mild in flavor, not too salty, with a gentle umami taste enveloping the dish. The toppings were plentiful, with Hokkaido-grown dried kelp and what seemed to be a brand scallop from Oshu Town. A great value for money, typical of Hokkaido. Sapporo Ramen Yutaka at the north entrance of Sapporo Ramen Yokocho. It seemed like a shop targeting tourists, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious with a mild flavor and great value for money. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen Strong. The soup had a spicy kick with a good umami flavor. The noodles were firm and chewy, the chashu was thick and tender, and the menma was thick. The ramen had a spicy kick balanced with a hint of sweetness, making it very delicious. Personally, it was a big hit for me.

Yes. Today, after work, I went to Susukino again (laughs). It's not like I'm going to have a drink and go home. I'm just going to have a meal and then head home (laughs). There are 17 shops in this alley, but due to the "Kuso Trend Disease" effect, 2 shops are closed, and excluding the newly opened shops that have no opening date, 14 shops are operating energetically. It's hard to complete them all. So, I finally visited the 14th shop. Well, from the Route 36 side, the entrance is at the corner, and it's always open even at an early hour, so I knew about it, but... (laughs) You know, when you look at the website, it doesn't really look like a ramen shop... "Spicy miso ramen" is a common menu item, but I noticed unusual items like "Garlic Salt Basil," "Tomato Ramen," and "Miso Cheese Ramen." I don't dislike heavy metal (laughs), although I don't listen to Western music. Looking at the menu again, I noticed a relatively simple menu item called "Kombu Salt Scallop Ramen." Recently, I was disappointed by a ramen shop in the neighborhood that used sea bream and scallop broth for salt ramen, so I decided to visit this place. The time was the usual slightly past 4:30 pm, which is a bit of an awkward time, so the shops that open at night had their shutters down, but there were more people walking around than usual. I've never seen a scene where locals and non-Japanese people flock here, so I can't really say... I was the only customer from the time I visited until I left. I checked the menu and it says 800 yen, although the website says 850 yen including tax...??? Well, whatever (laughs). I ordered the "Kombu Salt Scallop Ramen." It's a natural sweet and savory salt ramen made with scallops from the Okhotsk Sea and kelp. The topping of "Gagome Kombu" is a nice touch. "Gagome Kombu" is a type of kelp with a strong thickening property that can only be harvested in limited areas around Hakodate. And it has scallops from the town of Utanobu in the Okhotsk region... Sounds delicious, doesn't it? As I looked around the shop, I could feel the essence of heavy metal everywhere, but the background music in the shop was a re-broadcast of "Mito Komon" blaring loudly (laughs). The male staff in the kitchen was just a normal guy... Well, there's a "Flying V" on the wall of the shop, though (laughs). It arrived in about 5 minutes. The clear soup with medium-thin curly noodles, a generous portion of scallops, slices of lotus root, plenty of green onions, thick menma, and roast pork with gagome kelp on top. Indeed, the aroma is better than the ramen I had near my place. The noodles have a good texture. The saltiness of the soup... is a bit lacking, I think? By the way, they are particular about the kelp and scallops, but not so much about the salt in the soup... it doesn't make sense. The scallops are delicious, of course. The roast pork doesn't have a strange smell, so it's good. But the gagome kelp, maybe because it's cold, when it mixes with the soup, it gets warm... well, maybe that's also good, right? Thank you for the meal.

The inside of the shop is decorated with various items related to bands, giving the impression that the owner may have a hobby or connection with bands. The most popular miso cheese ramen... I will try it next time. It is located near the north entrance of the original Ramen Alley.

2021/3/28 First Visit "38th Cup of 2021" It's Sunday, but I have to go to work (^^;) I head to the workplace early in the morning and work hard. Oh, I can see the end in sight! There will be a handover with my successor at night, so if I can get this far, I'll take a little trip for lunch (laughs) I'm going to Sapporo for the first time in a long time (^^♪ I've come to the Susukino area. Now, let's have some ramen at the restaurant I was aiming for. I thought of going to Ramen Alley, but... Seriously (^^;) Most of the shops are closed with shutters. The shop I was aiming for is also closed. With limited options for open shops that I haven't tried yet, I had to go to Sapporo Ramen Yu shop. When I entered the shop, there were four family members and a single woman as the first customers. Since it's a small shop, it was almost full when I sat down. It's about keeping the distance, though. I look at the menu and choose the garlic miso ramen to eat. Now, I've been curious about this since before entering the shop, but it seems to be the basic style of this shop. The logo of the shop clearly mimics Metallica's logo, there are various metal stickers inside the shop, and the menu incorporates guitar illustrations... Even the staff themselves are wearing Arch Enemy T-shirts (laughs) Clearly, the shop owner is a metal lover! As for me, I'm a die-hard metalhead. Nowadays, I only listen to BiSH, but in the past, I used to say, "Screw J-pop, Japanese music is not music, Metal is life!!" (laughs) Although I now recognize the high quality of Japanese music, even if it's not heavy, I can appreciate its sensibility and goodness. I have continued to listen to the music I have loved since the past, and that's how I have come to this point. Therefore, this shop became my favorite even before eating (laughs) And here comes the ramen. Well... it's a typical appearance, but there's no sign of it being bad at all (laughs) I immediately take a sip of the soup. As the name of the menu suggests, the garlic aroma is quite strong. The broth is a simple animal-based one, with a refreshing miso flavor that goes well with it! The sesame also adds impact. Let's try the noodles. These are curly noodles with a high water content. They are quite strong noodles, but the balance is good with the strength of the soup! The stir-fried vegetables are also well mixed, and they are stir-fried with ground meat, which I also like. The chashu is not tough, but the method of preparation is firm, and the taste is light, which is fine with me. Honestly, I don't love it to death (^^♪, but the balance is good and it's quite good! I left a little soup, but I finished it all ♬ When I paid, I talked to the staff. He was also a metal lover (^^♪ People who love the same music don't feel like strangers even when they meet for the first time. The taste was good, but the style of the shop is my favorite!! I have a feeling that I will be coming here often in the future (laughs) I'm curious about the future of Ramen Alley, but I want to support this shop that is working hard! It was delicious!! Thank you♪

For the second stop in the dinner ramen series, I aimed for Sapporo Ramen Yu at Ramen Yokocho. Most of the shops in the alley were already closed, but Yu was still open. The interior of the shop was a bit messy, with no customers before or after me. I struggled to decide on my order as there were various interesting options on the menu. Eventually, I chose the Spicy Miso Ramen (900 yen). Oh, the Chashu Rice Ball is quite cheap. I also added a Chashu Rice Ball (100 yen) to my order. The ramen was served in about 7-8 minutes. The soup had a thick consistency and a gradual spiciness that builds up. It was moderately spicy and had a good balance of spiciness and flavor. The stir-fried vegetables added a nice touch. The Chashu Rice Ball didn't have a strong Chashu flavor, but it was tasty. It was a great deal for only 100 yen. Thank you for the meal!

☆LP☆I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday with a reservation. The location is a bit unclear on the website, but it is located in Susukino Ramen Alley. Depending on which side you enter from, the restaurant is right at the corner as soon as you enter. The interior of the restaurant is very small, with about 8 seats at the counter. When I mentioned that I had a reservation, they told me to sit wherever there was space. The chairs were facing different directions, and there were towels placed on some of the chairs. There were various items on the tables, making it confusing to know where to sit, but I managed to find a seat. I felt like the food might not be enjoyable, but I looked at the menu anyway. I ordered the most popular "Miso Cheese Ramen" for LP, and "Spicy Miso Ramen" with strong spiciness for KG. I was also interested in the Chashu Rice Ball side menu, but seeing two wrapped in plastic on the counter made me change my mind. The cooking was done by a young chef. First, the Cheese Ramen arrived with a strong basil and cheese aroma. It had a miso base, and the combination with cheese was perfect. Unfortunately, there was no chashu included. I wished there were more vegetables. Next was KG's Spicy Miso Ramen, with a level 2 spiciness which was quite spicy. It was rich and made me thirsty, similar to the finale of a Kimchi Jjigae hot pot. Some customers like this intense flavor. While we were eating, there were constant takeout orders from delivery services like Uber Eats and Demae-can. Perhaps they focus on takeout, which may explain the messy interior. If they expect more customers, I wish they would clean up and prepare to welcome them. I couldn't fully enjoy the ramen due to concerns about hygiene, which left me with mixed feelings.

I tried spicy miso and soy sauce ramen two days in a row, and both were delicious! I even finished all the soup! I was curious about the rich cheese ramen, but I'll save that for next time. The spicy miso was rich but light enough to eat easily, and the soy sauce had a burnt aroma that was enjoyable. I've never had cheese ramen before, so I'm really looking forward to trying it next time! The time from ordering to serving was also very quick, which was great!

5-star rating for May 2020 - Yaki Ramen (Salt Basil Flavor) for 700 yen at the original Ramen Alley ROCK, a unique ramen shop run by a rock music-loving owner. Don't worry, they also have the classic Sapporo Ramen, so you're in good hands. This time, I opted for takeout. My favorite - Yaki Ramen is available here! It's not easy to find a place that offers it. They have 4 basic flavors and occasionally announce special flavors on Twitter. I decided to drop by without calling ahead, thinking they might have some availability at odd hours. They have a hot case outside now, which I think is a recent addition. It's convenient for quick pickups, and I might just end up buying some on a whim. I got the "Salt Basil Flavor" from the case, which is pre-made. All options are priced at 700 yen. Although online it says it comes with a char siu rice ball, there was no mention of it at the store. Perhaps they've changed it? The Yaki Ramen is quite filling, with bean sprouts, ground meat, and stir-fried noodles in a rich salt sauce with fresh basil. Mixing in the long green onions and garlic chips makes it taste wonderfully indulgent. It comes with two types of char siu, meaty menma, and crunchy wood ear mushrooms. It's a ramen that can also double as a great drinking snack. Not sure about the rice ball situation, but even at 700 yen for just the Yaki Ramen, the cost performance is not bad. Thank you for the meal!

Last time, I was disappointed because my phone battery died and I couldn't take photos, but this time I was able to take some good shots (^.^) I stopped by after drinking, and there were no other customers in the shop since it was close to 2 o'clock. I ordered the "Miso Ramen for 760 yen." The shop owner seems to have a lot of band friends, as there are many posters and celebrity autographs inside. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. The curly noodles were good, and the miso soup had a rich flavor, which I really liked. It felt like I had finally found a miso ramen that suited my taste after a long time (#^.^#).

Tomato noodle collection! 578th type ♪ --------------------------It's been a while since I visited SapporoTonight, I'm thinking of having tomato ramen at that restaurant (Keraan) after 5 years♪The location of the restaurant is easy to find at the entrance of the "Original Sapporo Ramen Yokocho" ... huh? It seems that the owner of "Keraan" has stopped running the ramen shop, and this young man took over the shop! I see, then I can expect the taste to be good! After a few minutes of waiting, the tomato ramen (miso) is served(^-^)/[Visual & Taste](○-艸・)*:゚・☆ Looks delicious~♪Most of the bowl's surface is covered with a generous amount of cheese as an additional topping! Due to this large amount of cheese, the soup doesn't have the typical redness of tomatoes, so you can't tell it's tomato ramen just by looking at it. Under the abundant cheese, there are diced tomatoes and even avocado! It's rare to have ramen with avocado, right? (゚∀゚)/Let's dig in!Slurping the medium curly noodles through the cheese and savoring the rich soup, the tomato flavor is more prominent than it looks! The medium-water content noodles typical of Sapporo ramen, combined with the rich soup, create a great harmony. Slurping the noodles, occasionally tasting the acidity of the tomato pulp, the smooth texture of avocado, and the perfect combination with tomato and cheese, enhanced by the basil powder accent, is delicious~♫The topping of cheese includes melted sliced cheese and grated cheese... or is this shredded cheese? Adding extra was definitely the right choice, the fermented miso and cheese pair perfectly, enhancing the aroma and richness!Although "Keraan" is no longer here, I'm glad I could eat it here (´∀`)/By the way, according to the information from the young man who single-handedly manages the kitchen, the former owner of "Keraan" is running a bar nearby! Upon returning to Sapporo, I was in the mood for some light ramen. When I searched on Tabelog, I found this place! It turns out it's located in the original Ramen Yokocho. They have a variety of unique soup flavors for their ramen. Among them, I was drawn to the limited edition... Did it again on my first visit! The limited-time Salt Ginger Ramen for 900 yen. The light salt soup with a hint of ginger. I noticed on the menu that you could choose the type of noodles. I chose thin noodles, which might have made it even more of a favorite ramen for me. This place also accepts PayPay, so with a 20% cashback (coming soon), it was a great deal!
