Yes. Today, after work, I went to Susukino again (laughs). It's not like I'm going to have a drink and go home. I'm just going to have a meal and then head home (laughs). There are 17 shops in this alley, but due to the "Kuso Trend Disease" effect, 2 shops are closed, and excluding the newly opened shops that have no opening date, 14 shops are operating energetically. It's hard to complete them all. So, I finally visited the 14th shop. Well, from the Route 36 side, the entrance is at the corner, and it's always open even at an early hour, so I knew about it, but... (laughs) You know, when you look at the website, it doesn't really look like a ramen shop... "Spicy miso ramen" is a common menu item, but I noticed unusual items like "Garlic Salt Basil," "Tomato Ramen," and "Miso Cheese Ramen." I don't dislike heavy metal (laughs), although I don't listen to Western music. Looking at the menu again, I noticed a relatively simple menu item called "Kombu Salt Scallop Ramen." Recently, I was disappointed by a ramen shop in the neighborhood that used sea bream and scallop broth for salt ramen, so I decided to visit this place. The time was the usual slightly past 4:30 pm, which is a bit of an awkward time, so the shops that open at night had their shutters down, but there were more people walking around than usual. I've never seen a scene where locals and non-Japanese people flock here, so I can't really say... I was the only customer from the time I visited until I left. I checked the menu and it says 800 yen, although the website says 850 yen including tax...??? Well, whatever (laughs). I ordered the "Kombu Salt Scallop Ramen." It's a natural sweet and savory salt ramen made with scallops from the Okhotsk Sea and kelp. The topping of "Gagome Kombu" is a nice touch. "Gagome Kombu" is a type of kelp with a strong thickening property that can only be harvested in limited areas around Hakodate. And it has scallops from the town of Utanobu in the Okhotsk region... Sounds delicious, doesn't it? As I looked around the shop, I could feel the essence of heavy metal everywhere, but the background music in the shop was a re-broadcast of "Mito Komon" blaring loudly (laughs). The male staff in the kitchen was just a normal guy... Well, there's a "Flying V" on the wall of the shop, though (laughs). It arrived in about 5 minutes. The clear soup with medium-thin curly noodles, a generous portion of scallops, slices of lotus root, plenty of green onions, thick menma, and roast pork with gagome kelp on top. Indeed, the aroma is better than the ramen I had near my place. The noodles have a good texture. The saltiness of the soup... is a bit lacking, I think? By the way, they are particular about the kelp and scallops, but not so much about the salt in the soup... it doesn't make sense. The scallops are delicious, of course. The roast pork doesn't have a strange smell, so it's good. But the gagome kelp, maybe because it's cold, when it mixes with the soup, it gets warm... well, maybe that's also good, right? Thank you for the meal.
