Now, onto the second stop. Catching the eye of a sake-loving friend, we made a reservation a few days ago and visited Torara. Sitting at the counter, I felt like having a beer as a chaser (lol), so I ordered a small Otaru Beer Pilsner for 650 yen (I think) and cheers with two glasses. The otoshi (appetizer) was oden with yuzu pepper, and we ordered an assorted skewer set of 8 pieces for around 1360 yen. You can choose from 3 types of sauces (sauce, salt, ponzu) for the skewers. The skewers were served in a timely manner, starting with onion: small but dense, quail (sorry, Chappytsum, this might not be for you lol): how do they coat quail, enoki mushroom wrapped in pork: hmm, no photo of this one (^^;), marinated tuna: they recommended eating this without anything, and it had a tuna-like texture, tofu: the mild tofu was enhanced by the seaweed sprinkled on top, cherry tomato: of course, "be careful, it's hot" lol, coarsely ground wiener: with ketchup and mustard, a mini hot dog, shrimp wrapped in shiso: firm shrimp with the flavor of shiso spreading in the mouth. The sake is great because you can choose the amount: glass (150ml), half (80ml), or tasting (45ml). We decided to share and ordered four types: Hakurakusei, Romon, Nanakanba, and Niseko. They all had a modern, smooth taste with a sharp umami flavor. The thin coating on the skewers made it feel guilt-free to eat fried food, so I think even women might end up ordering too many skewers. The combination of sake and fried skewers is a winner. Thank you for the feast~

Located on a street one block away from Route 36 towards the main street (with an intersection). Next to Torara, there is a Garaku (soup curry) restaurant in the KT Sanjo Building (1st floor is a boutique) B1F food court. First visit (March 2014): I was looking for a fun reason to go somewhere other than to visit a friend's shop, so I looked it up on Tabelog and went there. It's called Zerojikai, a deep-fried skewers restaurant. The batter looked light and not greasy, very appetizing. There were no customers at that early hour. The background music was like 90s Western pop ballads, giving it a bar-like atmosphere. The manager was calm (maybe because I didn't talk much), so I was able to relax. The system is mostly omakase (chef's choice), but you can also specify the number of skewers. The menu offers 8, 12, or 16 skewers. If you don't specify, they will keep serving until you signal to stop, which seems to be the norm. Since it was the first round, I ordered a beer and the omakase 8 skewers. The size was small but easy to eat, and the batter was thin and not greasy at all. They were hot and delicious. I could have eaten more, especially the plump prawn in the 8th skewer. They also have a variety of sake and plum wine, so I tried plum wine towards the end, and it was refreshing and tasty. Since I couldn't eat a lot this time, I couldn't order other snacks, but I would like to try various items next time. It was very delicious. I will come back again. Thank you for the meal.

November 15th (Thursday) ◆The season for delicious hot sake◆ I heard that Shimane's hiyaoroshi has arrived, so I went to drink it right away. It's delicious even when chilled, but it's also easy to drink when slightly warmed. I had it with kushikatsu and green chili miso. This green chili miso is said to be from Hokkaido, and it's not sold in many places, so they have it specially ordered. It's delicious. 200 yen October 14th (Sunday) ◆Participated in a sake tasting event◆ I tasted the owner's recommended sake and had some appetizers to go with it. The "marinated tuna" before being made into kushikatsu was delicious. I also learned that drinking junmai sake warm is quite nice. The combination of sake and cheese is also great. The kushikatsu, crispy and crunchy, is delicious even for someone like me who isn't a fan of fried food. At first, I let them fry whatever they wanted, but gradually I started specifying my favorite ingredients to be fried. My favorites are camembert cheese and tomato. Vegetables like lotus root are also delicious. I enjoy slowly nibbling on kushikatsu while drinking sake. They also have other snacks to go with the sake. When I'm hungry, I also eat jyako rice. The music playing is not from a radio, but CDs chosen by the owner, which is actually my favorite part.

On October 19, 2010, at 10:07 AM, I went to eat kushikatsu after a long time. I usually go to "Kushiage To-LaLa," which was celebrating its 10th anniversary. The kushikatsu here has a thin coating of breadcrumbs, making it light and not greasy. They serve a trio of sauces for dipping: sauce, sansho pepper salt, and ponzu soy sauce. I prefer the ponzu soy sauce. The appetizer is tofu, followed by my favorite okra. I also ordered camembert bacon, yam, mochi bacon salmon, ginkgo nuts, salt hormone, and lotus root stuffed with chicken. I also recommend the jyako rice, a delicious mix of dried baby sardines, seaweed, shiso leaves, and grated daikon. The restaurant has a stylish and calming atmosphere, making it especially recommended for women. Kushiage To-LaLa is located in Sapporo, Chuo-ku, Nishi 2 KT3 Building B1, a 3-minute walk from Susukino Station on the Namboku Line. They are open from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on weekdays and from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sundays and holidays, closed on Mondays and the third Sunday of the month.

In Sapporo, there are few tempura skewer restaurants, so I walked around looking for one. This place has a calm atmosphere where you can comfortably take a woman with you. They have a wide variety of sake, and you can try different kinds to find your favorite. The tempura skewers are delicious and not greasy, so you can eat as many as you want. The prices are not cheap, but it's worth it.

In a building located between Tanukikoji and Susukino in Sapporo, there are many delicious restaurants, and the one that caught my attention was a tempura skewer restaurant. I made a reservation for two middle-aged men and we were seated at the counter. The counter seats were spacious with enough room for three groups of two. As we approached the thick counter, we felt a sense of calm. The restaurant had a jazz background music which surprisingly helped eliminate any old-fashioned atmosphere, perhaps catering to the middle-aged customers. We greeted the owner from our seats at the back. It seemed that there was a table for four behind the partition, which was only used when they had part-time staff on weekends. It was clear that the owner managed the place alone on weekdays. We were happy with the arrangement as it was perfect for six people. We started with a toast with beer, and I noticed that it was Ebisu beer served in a clean glass and well-maintained server. The beer was delicious and satisfying. I opted for a glass of sake from their interesting selection, as they only offered pure rice sake. The skewers started to arrive, and they were not overly fancy but rather stable and comforting. The sauces were provided in small dishes, and we were free to use them as we liked. The restaurant's website mentioned a few points about the place, which I found to be true. The atmosphere was calm and mature, perfect for adults. The two men next to me were engrossed in conversation, while I enjoyed my drinks. The owner did not give us much explanation, but it was fine as we were having a good time. The place was fully booked by the end of the night, and we decided to call it a night with full stomachs and content hearts. It was a delightful experience with delicious skewers and drinks. While it may not be the most affordable place, it's perfect for a leisurely evening with good food and drinks. It seems like the restaurant aims to attract adults who can appreciate the mature ambiance and cuisine. I recommend this place for those looking for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

This place is a hidden gem. Lately, the dining establishments around Minami Sanjo area in Susukino seem to be thriving. Although I haven't had the chance to visit them yet. The basement of this building also gives off the impression of having good restaurants lined up from the past. It has been a while since I last visited. The interior is neat and tidy. It's nice to sit at the counter and have the skewers come out one after another. You can order a certain number of skewers from the start, or you can stop whenever you want as you eat. The fine texture of the breadcrumbs and the preparation of the ingredients are excellent. You can enjoy them with sauce, soy sauce, or salt according to your preference. Everything was delicious, but I particularly liked the thick fried tofu from a different menu. I had Ebisu beer. The sake had brands I had never tried before. The shochu selection included sweet potato, barley, and rice varieties, which were quite popular and tasty. I couldn't help but indulge in some drinks. I definitely want to come back again.

While wandering around the KT Sanjo Building, I happened to enter this restaurant without any prior information. I highly recommend this place. After visiting, I checked on Tabelog and realized that there were only 3 reviews, so the overall rating was not displayed, and I didn't notice. They fry the food while observing and stop when it's ready. The breadcrumbs here are fine and elegant, very delicious. I'm originally from Kansai, so I've been to a few famous kushikatsu places in Osaka, but the kushikatsu here is different and good. They offer various unique kushikatsu like salmon and pork with myoga. And it's cheap. They also have a variety of sake, which suits my taste! The quiet owner and the tasteful music playing in the background make it a favorite spot for me. I will definitely visit again!

I haven't been here in a long time, but back in my younger days, I used to come here often with my friends. We would order the chef's choice of deep-fried skewers and stop when we were full. We would also order a side of jyako rice and salad, costing around 2500 yen per person. Is this place still around?
