Even though it's Sunday, I miraculously managed to get in without waiting in line. It's usually crowded, but it's empty until after 5:00 PM. It gets busy after 6:00 PM. It's a waste of time to line up after 7:00 PM. The otoro still has a lot of sinew, so it's not recommended. I was looking for a revolving sushi restaurant, and decided to try a place I had saved on Tabelog, even though I didn't remember the introduction of the store. Luckily, it was near the station and I was able to enter without waiting in line around noon. The store was a standing-only place with about 8 counter seats. I managed to slip in as a party of one. The menu displayed prices per piece, which I found to be quite reasonable. I started with a recommended set of 3 pieces of tuna - lean, medium fatty, and marinated, and they were delicious. I also tried engawa (differentiating between flounder and halibut), salmon, horse mackerel, and more. In total, I had 12 pieces with 2 beers and miso soup for a total of 4290 yen. Suddenly, a heavy rainstorm hit, so I lingered for about 45 minutes after eating, without feeling tired. It was a luxurious experience to casually order face-to-face, without waiting, and enjoy high-quality dishes. I discovered a great restaurant in Ueno that I have no regrets about stopping by. The tuna, which is in the name of the restaurant, is excellent. The chu-toro, akami, and zuke are all tasty. They also had an unusual dish of conger eel with plum paste, which was also delicious. The selection of sake accompaniments is great, and I tried the shirako, which was tasty. Unlike conveyor belt sushi, they serve one piece at a time, so you can try various types. Standing sushi bars are popular, but I think this long-standing restaurant offers the most delicious sushi at a reasonable price.

Overall, the rumor that Maguro is using Yamasachi's ingredients is true. The Maguro here is delicious. I was looking forward to the Konbu-jime, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. It is a small place with a counter that can fit about 8 people. I usually don't go out of my way for tuna, but since the restaurant's name had "tuna" in it, I decided to try it. In conclusion, I was very satisfied. I am not the type to linger in restaurants, so a quick meal like this is perfect for me. If this place was closer, I would come here every week for the quality.
