I was invited by a friend to visit this restaurant for the first time. I had checked out the reviews on Tabelog beforehand and it seemed like a place where you can enjoy sushi at a reasonable price. The ratings were also high so I was really looking forward to it. We started at 5 pm. They had Sapporo Red Star beer which was a nice surprise. We were served clam soup as a complimentary appetizer, just as I had read in the reviews. We ordered some appetizers - oysters for 680 yen, whale bacon for 980 yen, and striped jack fish for 680 yen. The oysters were delicious and well worth the price. The sushi menu had prices listed for each item, so we ordered a variety of sushi. We tried horse mackerel for 280 yen, Kawahagi fish from Oita for 480 yen, cured mackerel for 380 yen, mantis shrimp for 680 yen, fresh salmon roe for 280 yen, red clam for 190 yen, red clam for 480 yen, squid for 380 yen, Japanese halfbeak from Amakusa for 280 yen, carabinero prawn for 780 yen, sardine for 380 yen, marinated tuna (from Aomori) for 380 yen, herring for 230 yen, white squid for 480 yen, sea urchin for 880 yen, scallop for 380 yen, fresh tuna (not marinated) for 380 yen, eel for 380 yen. The red clam, sardine, fresh tuna, and squid were particularly outstanding. The mantis shrimp was a bit disappointing. The prices were all inclusive of tax, making it easy to calculate the bill. We spent around 9,000 yen for the two of us. With such affordable prices, I can see why this place is becoming popular. They have been in business since 2015, and it seems like making a reservation might be a challenge, but I definitely want to come back. Thank you, K-san, for recommending such a great place. It was a wonderful meal.

What a happy place! It has a Michelin star, offers a la carte dining, serves lunch, and is perfect for dining alone! I ordered 14 items including squid, horse mackerel, kohada, Ishigaki clam, ark shell, sweet shrimp, scallop, tuna, shrimp, crab appetizers, thin rolls, grilled fish, and ark shell skewers, and it didn't even cost 10,000 yen! Amazing! I definitely want to go back again! And the food was delicious!

This was my first time using the course menu. The cost performance was good and I was satisfied with the food. However, the pace of serving was a bit fast, which made me feel rushed in terms of balancing with alcohol. Maybe it's more suitable to eat at my own pace with a la carte menu rather than the course menu at this restaurant.

Located an 8-minute walk from Shibuya Station Hachiko Exit in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, is "Sushi Kourin." This popular sushi restaurant opened in the back Shibuya area in April 2021, offering sushi starting at just 80 yen per piece and has even been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand. It is part of the same group as "Sushi Sotetsu" in Hatsudai. Reservations can be made through TableCheck, but due to its popularity, availability seems to be quite limited. The cozy restaurant has a white wooden L-shaped counter with 12 seats, creating a homely atmosphere. The vinegar blend used for the sushi rice gives a mild acidity, and the generously sized, rustic sushi may vary slightly in quality and temperature depending on the topping, but it is still within an acceptable range. They offer an omakase course, but you can also order your favorite toppings individually, making it a convenient and delicious local sushi restaurant for its price. The service could be a bit better though. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience! Thank you for the meal! [Items Ordered] - Flounder 380 yen - White Squid 480 yen - Bonito 280 yen - Lean Tuna Pickled in Soy Sauce 380 yen - Medium Fatty Tuna 480 yen - Fatty Tuna 580 yen - Horse Mackerel 280 yen - Amberjack 380 yen - Sardine 380 yen - Scallop 380 yen - Fresh Salmon Roe 380 yen - Ark Shell 480 yen - Snow Crab 480 yen - Tamago (Egg) 80 yen - Pickled Mackerel 380 yen - Spot Prawn 680 yen - Sea Urchin 980 yen - Kohada 380 yen - Simmered Clam 780 yen - Red Seabream 380 yen - Miso Soup Thank you very much for reading the review until the end. Your support with follows, likes, and saving the restaurant is greatly appreciated and helps to continue writing reviews. Please check out my Instagram accounts as well. Thank you!

On this day, I visited Shibuya Mitsurin, a popular restaurant known for its good value and delicious food. Reservations can be made through TableCheck, but there is a waiting period of about 2 months. I ordered the standard sushi set for 3800 yen, which included 9 pieces of sushi and an egg roll. This price is quite cheap for the quality of food. I also added some appetizers like bonito sashimi and vinegar seaweed, as well as additional sushi like shrimp and sea urchin. Even after having 4 drinks, the total bill was still under 10,000 yen. The sushi chef was friendly and the conversation became more enjoyable as we talked. I made a reservation for next time before leaving. Thank you for the delicious meal on this day!

We left it to the chef's choice, but the four of us ate whatever we wanted. We ordered four pieces of sushi each in the order we wanted and shared them. We wanted to have 16 pieces in total, but we ran out of options after my order of sweet shrimp and three other types. So we ended up with 15 pieces of sushi and three appetizers. I drank my favorite drink and spent about ¥12,000, feeling very satisfied and full! Thank you to the organizer for inviting me! We had whale sashimi, monkfish liver, scallops grilled with seaweed, white squid, white squid legs, white shrimp, striped jack, vinegared kelp, marinated Spanish mackerel, chopped Japanese horse mackerel, red tuna, salmon roe, horse mackerel, octopus, and toro.

I will take the "omakase" course for 8,000 yen. It was a holiday evening, so I made a reservation on TableCheck. It's quite a popular restaurant now. This time, I had the sushi made by a mid-level chef. It was my first time trying the course. The individual dishes had a good amount of food, so I purposely chose the course to limit the number of dishes I could eat, but it was the right decision. I enjoyed 9 pieces of sushi, rolled egg, and 4 small dishes. The flow of the meal was good and enjoyable. The sushi rice seasoned with red vinegar and the "tsume" were excellent. I had 2 beers and 2 glasses of sake, which came to about 12,000 yen in total. I think it was worth it. This is the first place I consider when there is an event in Shibuya.

It was my second visit to a sushi restaurant in Okushibu in two months. I had made a reservation because I wanted to experience the excitement again during the shinko season. I was excited to revisit. Last time, I started at 3:00 PM and it was full, but this time it was empty with a private feel. After about 30 minutes, two groups of regular customers arrived. We started with a shijimi clam soup. The dishes I had were: *Sea bass (Aichi) *Octopus (Fukko Bay) *Bonito (Kesennuma) *Nitalikujira (North Atlantic) *White cuttlefish (Nagasaki) (forgot to take a picture) *Tuna red meat (Boston) *Fresh oyster (Hokkaido) *White shrimp (Toyama Bay) *Tuna medium fatty tuna (Boston) *Grilled conger eel *Live scallop (Sanriku) *Seared golden eye snapper (Shizuoka) *Simmered abalone *Kohada (Saga) *Egg *Tekka maki, Kappa maki *Sweet sea bream with pine needles (added) *New squid (Amakusa) (forgot to take a picture) *Shinko (Shizuoka) *Kitamurasaki sea urchin (Nemuro) *Conger eel (claw, salt) What I found disappointing this time was that it was almost the same as last time. Well, I guess it can't be helped since I'm not a regular customer. The new cuttlefish, shinko, and conger eel were delicious though! Thank you for the meal.

Sunday 5:00 PM. I visited this place in May and made a reservation for 2 people. We sat at the counter in the back. I think the sushi was made by the second chef. This time, we ordered a la carte. - Draft Ebisu beer 580 yen - Highball 580 yen - Green tea highball 580 yen - Lemon sour 580 yen The lemon sour was the most delicious drink. Highlights: - Clam soup with the best broth - Shallow pickled water eggplant 480 yen - Miso soup of the day 280 yen (I chose enoki mushrooms) - Natural striped jack 380 yen - Salmon roe 380 yen - Kuruma prawn with kelp 680 yen - Fatty tuna 580 yen - Fluke fin 580 yen - Egg 80 yen - Sea urchin 880 yen - Grilled conger eel 1280 yen - White squid 480 yen - Seared golden eye snapper 380 yen - Marinated mackerel 380 yen - White shrimp 480 yen - Premium yellowtail 280 yen - Grilled silver cod with Kyoto miso 680 yen They had to redo it because it got burnt. - Natural parrotfish 380 yen - Toro sushi roll There is no sushi roll on the menu, but they said they can make almost anything that a sushi restaurant would have. The guy with glasses who serves regular customers is friendly, but our server was quiet and seemed a bit intimidating. (It was a different person from last time, but the same vibe as before.) They didn't ask for the next reservation. Anyone can make a reservation through the table check, but it seems more enjoyable to go with regular customers. Thank you for the meal. Total for 2 people: 23,210 yen Per person: 11,605 yen

I visited Sushi Kourin, a popular sushi restaurant in Okubo. They offer reasonably priced and delicious sushi, making it a popular choice. They also have a good selection of appetizers and drinks, but be careful as the bill can add up quickly. The service is friendly and it's conveniently located nearby. It's often booked up, but you might be able to get a table if you avoid peak hours. With a mix of sophistication and casualness, this sushi restaurant appeals to a wide range of customers.

Third visit. Initially, it was easy to drop by if you went during opening hours, but recently it has become quite difficult to make a reservation, so I finally made a reservation a month in advance. I am so happy to be able to eat such delicious sushi at this price♡ The first visit, I ate various sushi to my heart's content for about ¥7000. The second time, I had the seasonal course for ¥3700 plus drinks. This time, I had the omakase course for ¥4800 with additional silver cod with saikyo-yaki and extra horse mackerel. Including drinks, it was about ¥16000 for my husband and me. If you are debating between the ¥8000 course, keep in mind that the one with more side dishes will have lower quality sushi, so if you want to focus on sushi, the omakase course with the chef's selection is better for enjoying high-quality sushi. The sushi was small in size, which I personally like♡ I have included my thoughts on each piece of sushi in the photo comments. The conversation with the chef was enjoyable, and having a Michelin-starred restaurant nearby where you can go casually is truly valuable♡ I will make this my go-to spot from now on♫

It was an unexpected encounter that led to me visiting this place. I have been to Sushi Sotetsu before, but this was my first time here. When I opened the sliding door and entered, the female staff greeted me without looking at me or making eye contact, asking if I had a reservation. I confirmed my name and the chef, without looking up from a board, said, "Oh, you're ◯◯? Oh, I see. You're at table ◯." I was then shown to my seat. I had requested the 8,000 yen course menu, so I didn't need to say anything further. The restaurant's ability to source quality ingredients had already been proven, so even without paying a high price, the ingredients were decent. However, there was a complete lack of hospitality. The service was limited to engaging with customers who were in a good mood, and the sushi-making technique was lacking. The chef seemed to have a fixed routine for making sushi, but lacked finesse. The chef mentioned that some customers are picky about the origin of the ingredients, but what matters is how deliciously you can enjoy the food in front of you. While there is some truth to that, it's not something the chef should be saying. By employing such craftsmen, the staff also displayed disrespectful behavior towards customers. The restaurant is always fully booked due to its claim of being "cheap and delicious," but it's better to avoid it. Sushi Rizuki in Ebisu might be a better option. However, if you don't encounter the same formation as I did, it might be okay. I wish luck to those who plan to visit. Lastly, not specific to this restaurant, but when calling customers by their table number, it's better to use "san" as a suffix. Even though it may seem obvious, in this setting, customers are equivalent to their table numbers, yet they are casually referred to without honorifics. It may be acceptable in a casual izakaya setting, but it's something to consider. I spent about 15,000 yen in 1.5 hours, feeling like I wanted to leave early.

At Bib Gourmand registered sushi restaurant, Hikari-san can order as much as she likes a la carte. It's hard to get a reservation, but she wants to go there every month. She always orders akami, fresh shirasu, geso, and torotaku from Yamasaki, as well as grilled fish, seasonal nigiri, and appetizers. This time, with 2 cups of sake and eating to her heart's content, it cost around 14,000 yen for two people.

Cost performance is excellent? The taste is probably quite good for the price... I didn't pay, so I'm not sure, but the staff at the store answered various questions about alcohol, so it was very enjoyable! Not only the sushi, but also the snacks were delicious, so I understand why I want to go back again! I want to go there again! ✌

This restaurant is a rare gem where you can enjoy ordering individual sushi pieces instead of just set courses like many other places. I recommend getting a course and adding on your favorite items for an incredible value. You can adjust the amount you eat and enjoy your favorites, which is a great feature. The taste is also outstanding! This is currently the best value restaurant in my opinion. It's no wonder it's difficult to make a reservation! I look forward to visiting again! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The day before, at 7:30 pm. Made a reservation and visited with 2 people. I've been curious about this place for a while after seeing it on Instagram, and I finally got to go! The restaurant has an L-shaped counter with about 11 seats. The interior is bright, and I was surprised to see that the sushi chefs were young. - 4 bottles of draft beer Ebisu for 580 yen each - 2 highballs for 580 yen each - 2 green tea highballs for 580 yen each The green tea highballs were disappointing as the green tea was too weak. [Chef's selection course for 4,800 yen] x 2 - Clam dashi - Kombu-cured sea bream - Dried young jack mackerel - Octopus - Lean tuna - Seared horse mackerel - Ark shell - White squid - Black porgy - Boiled slipper lobster - Fatty tuna - Sea urchin - Tamago (egg) - Toro roll - Himo-kyu roll Additional orders: - Water eggplant pickles for 380 yen - Homemade salted squid for 480 yen - White-grilled conger eel for 1,280 yen - Tamago for 80 yen - Kombu-cured striped shrimp for 680 yen - Salmon roe for 380 yen - Small skin for 280 yen Overall, the sushi was delicious and safe. Since there is no time limit, it is comfortable to stay (although during busy times it is limited to 2 hours). The only downside is that you cannot just walk in, but I think it is very convenient to use whether you want to eat quickly or take your time, order a la carte or course! It's so cheap that I already made another reservation for about 2-3 months later. Thank you for the meal! Total for 2 people: 20,940 yen

This was my third visit. As always, the food was delicious, the atmosphere, service, and cost performance were all excellent. With this cost performance, being able to eat such high-quality sushi, I find it difficult to go to other restaurants lately. Compared to the usual high-end restaurants, there are no picky, high-pride customers, and the staff create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which I really like. (Of course, this is subjective) The sushi chefs always engage in pleasant conversations with me, creating a fun time each visit. I think it's really amazing that every dish I order, including the appetizers, never disappoints. Looking at it from a different perspective, I believe this restaurant is truly unique. It's a popular place, so I understand that it's hard to make reservations, but I accept that and would like to treat myself to a visit every few months. Thank you again.

I made a reservation two months ago for March and finally went! The place is located deep in Shibuya. The sign was easy to spot, so I didn't get lost. The appetizer was good, the sushi was delicious, and the course menu had just the right amount of food! The Korean tuna was great, so I ordered 4 more pieces. I also enjoyed the striped shrimp, snow crab, sea bream, and sea urchin. I left feeling very satisfied! I wish I had a little bit of dessert at the end though~
