We missed lunchtime so we went for dinner like normal. It was my father's first time going and my husband and I went as well. My father ate a lot, which was nice to see. We ordered the premium course this time, and even though it was my second visit, I found the beef shoulder a bit tough. However, the beef belly was delicious.

It seems like the prices have gone up compared to before - the plan with two types of beef, two types of pork, tsukune, and vegetables costs 2,748 yen (including tax), which is expensive. It looks like they have also added soft serve ice cream and drinks to the menu, which used to be included in the meal. The staff seemed to be short-handed, with a few workers being very busy. Especially, the elderly staff members were kind and helpful.

When on a long business trip, it's easy to miss out on vegetables. I found this lunch option - pork shabu-shabu set for 990 yen. It comes with all-you-can-eat vegetables, 2 pork slices, 2 tsukune (chicken meatballs), rice, and all-you-can-eat curry. To add some flavor to the plain kombu dashi broth, you can pay an extra 100 yen for a spicy dashi. The taste is neither great nor terrible, but the satisfaction level is high. Unfortunately, the staff seemed a bit unenthusiastic, possibly due to the late hour. Nonetheless, the cost performance is good, and being able to eat plenty of vegetables is appealing. Lunch during a business trip~ I visited here for the first time. They offer all-you-can-eat meat menu and set meals, but since I get sleepy if I eat too much in the afternoon, I ordered a set meal. However, since vegetables are also all-you-can-eat, I ended up getting more after all haha Even with eating this much, having shabu-shabu at this price is a great deal! Thank you for the meal~

Eating all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu is a must (lol). It may sound cheap, but it's a win-win situation. I chose a rich sukiyaki and a light kelp broth. It's like an endless loop (lol). The staff at this restaurant is so kind. They quickly offer help if you're unsure about the drinks or if the meat is running low. I don't know if this is unique to the staff or part of the restaurant's training, but it creates a great atmosphere. Good customer service can greatly impact a restaurant's popularity. I finished visiting the grave early in the morning and then went shopping at Nishi Aeon on the way back. A friend suggested having lunch together at Nishi Aeon, so we went there again. It was really crowded because it was a Sunday during the Obon holiday. Everywhere we went, we had to write our names down and wait for our turn. However, it seemed like there were still some seats available at the shabu-shabu restaurant. So, we decided to have lunch there. The lunch set included beef, pork, and meatballs for 1699 yen, with a 70-minute all-you-can-eat option. The drink bar cost an additional 299 yen. We quickly ordered the vegetables and rice we wanted to eat. We had two types of broth for the shabu-shabu: kombu and sukiyaki. There were three of us girls, and while the other two were elegantly enjoying their meal, I was eating quickly and heartily to make the most of the limited time. My friends were amazed and somewhat resigned as they watched me eat. After finishing the shabu-shabu, they moved on to dessert. I stayed behind and enjoyed waffles, soft serve ice cream, and coffee. It was a delightful meal experience, even though I turned the shabu-shabu into a hot pot unintentionally. Summer shabu-shabu is great, isn't it? Even if it ends up looking like a hot pot!

I left my dog at the groomer and decided to have a healthy and delicious vegetable-rich lunch while waiting. I ordered the weekday pork shabu-shabu lunch (2 plates) for 961 yen each, and added sukiyaki broth for 108 yen. I also got the drink bar for 322 yen each. I chose pork loin for the 2 plates, each plate had 4 thin slices of meat. The meal was unlimited, with plenty of mushrooms, green vegetables like spinach and chives, and chicken meatballs at the vegetable bar. I topped my rice with chicken soboro and two types of furikake. I enjoyed the meal with raw egg for sukiyaki and ponzu sauce and sesame sauce for shabu-shabu, adding various condiments for different flavors. The drink bar included DIY waffles and soft serve ice cream. It was a satisfying and healthy meal, and I even received updates on my dog's grooming progress from the trimmer. As always, my dog looked cute after the grooming.

Eating all-you-can-eat vegetables is great. Even if the meat runs out, you can still enjoy the variety with tsukune and condiments. And the best part is there's no time limit, so you can stay as long as you want without worrying about rushing through your meal.

During my trimming session, it seems like Mama came to eat a lot of vegetables! To address the shortage of vegetables at home due to the soaring prices, she came to eat a lot of veggies (*^^*) Weekday lunch special: Pork shabu-shabu lunch (2 servings of pork) for 890 yen (excluding tax). You can choose the broth (sukiyaki) for an additional 100 yen (excluding tax). Today's goal is to get in those veggies! Two servings of pork is okay, right? There's also chicken tsukune in the mist case (^^) Let's bring out the veggies now. Enoki mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, onions, leeks, spinach, daikon radish, carrots, burdock roots, sweet potatoes, and spring greens, along with other veggies. We'll also bring tofu, maroni-chan, age, and chicken tsukune. All types of condiments are available: grated radish, white sesame, grated ginger, asatsuki, and mitsuba. The basic broth is kombu dashi, and we chose sukiyaki. For shabu-shabu, there's ponzu sauce and sesame sauce. Add the condiments. For sukiyaki, there's a raw egg. Yum yum~♪ Delicious~(^q^) We'll also bring rice. Topped with chicken soboro and furikake. Yum yum~♪ Even more delicious~♪ Three plates of veggies, two bowls of rice, and two raw eggs. A friend who goes on overseas trips every year brought back some souvenirs and flavored coffee that I requested. We all have jobs, so we scheduled a weekday lunch on a day off. The weekday limited lunch special is the pork shabu shabu lunch (two plates of pork) for 890 yen (excluding tax), with a drink bar included. The pork is plentiful, and there are also tsukune and ground meat available in the mist corner. Of course, there's all-you-can-eat vegetables, noodles, and rice. This course has no time limit, so if it's not crowded, you can enjoy a leisurely dessert time. There were four of us in the group, including a friend's daughter, and we had a great time chatting and enjoying the hot pot. We had two pots, one with the basic kombu dashi and one with sukiyaki for an additional 100 yen (excluding tax). The friend and her daughter chose the soy milk dashi. We indulged in the delicious food, with plenty of rice and toppings, and went for seconds on the vegetables and noodles. The shabu shabu and sukiyaki allowed for a variety of flavors, and we ate heartily. I had two melon sodas from the drink bar, soft-serve ice cream, and freshly baked waffles. It was nice to have a relaxed meal on a weekday with plenty of space. I'm so full now. I couldn't even fit in any more coffee. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I bought glassware as a gift at Asahioka's workshop and decided to have lunch. I entered Ion and my wife suggested, "You said you wanted to eat shabu-shabu the other day, right?" So we decided to eat at a restaurant offering a 1680 yen all-you-can-eat basic course. We chose two types of broth, "agodashi" and "sukiyaki-style". The meat options included pork shoulder loin, pork belly, and beef belly, with 4 pieces on each plate. Initially, 3 types of meat were brought to us on 6 plates. After finishing, we could order more as needed. Vegetables, rice, and noodles were self-served. The pork shoulder loin was a bit tough, so we added more pork belly and beef belly. In total, we had 12 plates of meat, which is 48 pieces. My wife only had 6 pieces of meat (not 6 plates). It seems like all-you-can-eat is not really her thing (laughs). As for the taste, well, it's all-you-can-eat, so it's decent. Lastly, we added salt to the agodashi broth and enjoyed a ramen dish, which surprisingly tasted good! Thank you for the meal.

On a holiday evening, I had the "Beef & Pork Standard All-You-Can-Eat for 2158 yen + Drink Bar for 322 yen" with my family. My daughter suddenly said, "I want to eat shabu-shabu," so we ended up at this place. Surprisingly, my wife and daughter don't eat much, so I had to eat a lot to make it worth it. I had already warmed up at a similar place in Sapporo two weeks ago, so I was ready for the challenge. It's a 90-minute battle, and I was determined to win. The prices and time limits vary depending on the time and day of the week. Holiday dinners are the most expensive, naturally. I was even more motivated to eat as much as I could. I had to finish three plates of meat three times to make it worth it. We ended up eating a total of 17 plates of meat. We realized that we prefer pork shoulder loin for shabu-shabu. We focused on the main dishes, so we only had soft-serve ice cream for dessert, which was a refreshing end to the meal. One last tip: if someone in your group has a birthday, you can get a 10% discount on the bill with proof, but we didn't have any proof and ended up paying full price. It was a bit disappointing not to get the discount, but overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I was originally planning to go to Hanamaru Udon, but there were a large group of high school girls, so I ended up going to this shabu-shabu place instead. I had a not-so-great experience at a certain restaurant on Ooyuki Street before, but this place was actually quite delicious. The meat slices were thin, similar to the other place, but the overall quality seemed higher here. We opted for the premium course with all-you-can-eat beef loin, but ended up mostly getting pork for refills. We found the pork shabu-shabu to be satisfying enough for us.

I visited a restaurant thinking it was the same as "Shabu Ha" that I visited the other day, but it turned out to be a different place. There were only two types of sauce, ponzu and sesame sauce, but the ponzu was normal and the sesame sauce was too thick and overpowering, so I stopped using it. Compared to other restaurants, it was a bit disappointing...

Ion Asahikawa Nishi - Shabu Vegetable, Shabu-Shabu Sukiyaki All-You-Can-Eat is finally here in the west too! And the menu is a bit different from the one in front of the station. A surprising recommendation, waffles! Oh, the pasta restaurant is gone... but in its place, a new arrival! The long-awaited "Shabu Vegetable Ion Asahikawa Nishi store" is now open. Located at Green-cho 23-chome, Ion Mall Asahikawa Nishi 1F, map here: https://goo.gl/maps/ARzcycWNuX92. Open from 10:30 to 22:00, closed on certain days. Parking available, non-smoking. It's where "Pasta no Jikan" used to be. The menu seems to be the same as the one in front of the station. The interior feels a bit smaller than Pasta no Jikan, maybe because there is no counter. Now, about the menu. The Shabu-Shabu Sukiyaki All-You-Can-Eat seems similar to the one in front of the station. You have to choose the broth. I went with Ebi Tomato Dashi + Sukiyaki. The course includes all-you-can-eat beef and pork standard plan for 1,999 yen excluding tax + drink bar for 299 yen excluding tax. Now, let's go get some ingredients. The vegetables are probably the same as before. There are two types of meatballs now. Oh, and although the two types of furikake are the same, there is meat soboro available!! And the most different thing is this, the drink bar includes soft serve ice cream and waffles!! How fun! Back at the table, the meat arrives. Beef belly, pork belly, pork shoulder loin. Looks good! I actually prefer the pork here over the beef. The flavor is richer. Oh, it's been a while since I've had an all-you-can-eat experience. So much fun! And the fun expanded even more with the waffles. I followed the instructions at the corner, and the result was a crispy outside and a soft, fluffy inside! Surprisingly good! Maybe I'm good at this? In the past, I went to the one near Asahikawa Station, where the smell of meat was quite strong inside the restaurant. However, this time I went to the one in Asahikawa West at the Aeon Mall, and I found that the air was cleaner and the space was not too large, making it easier to enjoy the buffet. I had shabu-shabu with Mexican Three-Element Pork shoulder loin and pork belly. When comparing the two, the pork belly was indeed more tender. The shoulder loin had a firmer texture but was flavorful. Recently, Three-Element Pork has become more affordable, and I often buy Canadian Three-Element Pork at the supermarket, so I am familiar with the taste. In terms of the system, I found this shabu-shabu buffet restaurant in Asahikawa to be the most user-friendly.

Lunch on weekdays is a great deal. There are options like shabu-shabu lunch. Last week, I used a coupon reservation from Hot Pepper to go eat, and I usually go about once or twice a month when I want to eat a lot of meat and plenty of vegetables. There's a time limit of 70 minutes. You can choose the broth, so this time I went with a spicy broth and sukiyaki. Let the race against time begin (laughs)! There's a stopwatch timer on the table. Do they really go this far? (^^; The pot and meat (beef, pork loin, pork belly, 2 plates each) were brought out. Vegetables from the mist case, rice, melon soda. Alright, let's eat~♪ I'm digging in. Oh! I forgot to take a picture! I was in such a rush (laughs). Snap snap. Sorry, it's in the middle of eating. Let's continue eating~♪ Munch munch, gulp gulp.
