If you cancel on the day of your reservation, you will be charged a fee equivalent to approximately 50% of the expected amount of the meal (from 10,000 yen per person). Our chefs speak only Japanese. Excellent! From sourcing to preparation to sushi making, everything is skillfully done. Truly impressive, Master... The Kan-nuki Sayori, a type of large Sayori fish, was so delicious. I didn't know Sayori could taste this good... The chawanmushi had karasumi (bottarga) in it. The nodoguro was so soft and fluffy. There was plenty of maguro (tuna). The style of alternating between sushi and appetizers fills you up. It's really wonderful... It's also great that most of the customers are regulars...

Located on the second floor of a building, a 4.5-minute walk from Hiroo Station towards Tengenji, is the sushi restaurant "Kuroroku Sushi San Shichimi." Despite being in an old building, the interior of the restaurant is sparkling clean and has a sense of cleanliness. This counter-only restaurant is run by a single master sushi chef who skillfully prepares each piece of sushi. Today, I opted for the omakase course and enjoyed a variety of dishes such as sakura shrimp tempura, marinated flounder, hagikohada, white shrimp marinated in kelp, squid, Awaji Island mackerel, tuna marinated in soy sauce, steamed blackthroat seaperch, aoyagi clam, bream shirako, yellowtail, shrimp, steamed abalone, matsutake mushroom, medium fatty tuna, and conger eel. To top it off, I added a 2-year-aged karasumi at the end, which was incredibly luxurious. The course included a good balance of light dishes, shellfish, and appetizers. The highlights for me were the mackerel, horse mackerel, aoyagi clam, and matsutake mushroom – truly the best of the season. And the 2-year-aged karasumi at the end was as delicious as ever, cut into thick slices of about 2 centimeters. It was truly luxurious! Reservations on the day of can be challenging due to the restaurant's popularity, but I look forward to returning again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It's been a year since I last visited Kuroroku Sushi. It's still great. If you want to enjoy straightforward Edo-style sushi without any gimmicks, Kuroroku Sushi is perfect! This time, I only managed to take one photo. The desire to eat outweighed the desire to take pictures! I quickly enjoyed the flounder kombu-zuke sashimi with sudachi salt, uni and yuba with a spoon, and several pieces of sushi with red vinegar rice and regular sushi rice depending on the topping. I had shirako, nodoguro slices, kue, and a little bit of grilled tuna as snacks. I also had akami, chutoro, and aged chutoro from Yamazaki for tuna. Saltwater uni, horse mackerel, and scallops were also on the menu. Of course, the order is not in order!

Visited a client's president at a small New Year's party for the first time. Got excited for the long-awaited sushi! Unfortunately, my phone ran out of battery so I could only take pictures of the most delicious ones. The homemade karasumi was amazing, like creamy and rich cheese. Also tried the akagai liver from Yuyuki, a rare and precious delicacy that was simply the best with a hint of seaweed. And the mini maguro bowl with fresh honmaguro from Oma was truly delicious. I'm not a fan of red vinegar sushi, but everything was so tasty. The chef was very kind and we had a great time. The service from the daughter was so lovely and attentive. Will definitely visit again!

I visited Sushi Kuroroku Misshichimi in Minami-Azabu. The access is about a 5-minute walk from Hiroo Station on the Hibiya Line, located on Gaien Nishi-dori. This sushi restaurant operates on a reservation-only basis. The entrance on the second floor of the building is marked by a charming guide light. Inside the restaurant, there are around 9 seats at the counter, where the master warmly welcomes guests. The thick hinoki counter exudes a sense of elegance. The ingredients are carefully displayed on top of the sushi case, tempting the appetite. The restaurant pays attention to the details of the dishes, with beautiful cut glass cups adorning the table. The food served on these exquisite dishes is all outstanding. The restaurant's name is derived from the founder, who hails from Susenji, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and was named after a fellow villager, Kuroroku Murata. The hexagonal logo of the restaurant, shaped like a turtle shell, is a nod to Murata's nickname, "Turtle." Among the menu items I tried, a few stood out. The Kohada, aged for several days, is served on the counter, with a rich umami flavor. The Hokkigai sashimi has a firm texture and a sweet taste. The Ankimo topped with Nara pickles is a combination of rich, melt-in-your-mouth ankimo and the saltiness of the pickles, creating a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The large, salt-reduced ikura is elegant and delicious. Thank you for the meal. Address: 2nd floor, TTC Building, 4-48 Minami-Azabu 4-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Closed on irregular days.

This is a shop with a wide variety of sake. However, when it comes to the essential sushi, there was quite a gap between expectations and reality. From appetizers to nigiri, we spent around 50,000 yen for two people. Perhaps they had a shortage of ingredients that day...

This is my second visit. Despite it being my second time, the chef welcomed me warmly. He prepared both cod milt and pufferfish milt, which I couldn't try last time. The sake was also delicious. Everything was truly amazing! I was moved. It's a wonderful sushi restaurant. I will definitely visit again.

I was invited by an acquaintance to visit Kuroroku Sushi in Hiroo. The sushi was delicious, with a variety of tasty nigiri. Every bite was so good that it went perfectly with the sake and shochu. Sushi always makes me feel happy. The head chef is very friendly and a nice person to talk to. Conversations with him at the counter are always enjoyable. The conger eel was especially delicious. Today, I had a great meal and fun conversations, and I'm feeling a bit tipsy now, haha.
