I had been curious about "LESS" in Ebisu for a while. It's a shop owned by Gabriele Riva and Kanako Itakura, and it's the first Panettone specialty store in Japan. The shop recently gained attention by being selected as one of the top 100 sweets shops. Panettone is a traditional Christmas pastry from Milan, Italy. The Panettone here uses a starter passed down from the owner pastry chef's family pastry shop. When I visited Ebisu last time, the shop was closed on weekdays, so this time I called in advance to confirm their opening hours. There was no line when I arrived, and I could enter the shop right away. The location of the shop is a bit hard to find. The interior is stylish and modern, in line with the name "LESS," creating a simple and chic atmosphere. I couldn't miss the specialty Panettone here. I decided to buy a quarter size of two flavors: Orange/Lemon/Yuzu Citrus Panettone and Hazelnut/Milk Chocolate/Orange Panettone. I also purchased Lemon Cake and Chocolate Cake. The Panettone was surprisingly delicate and moist, with accents of orange and chocolate that you wouldn't imagine from its appearance. It was delicious. There is also a related shop nearby called RIVA, which seems to offer fresh cakes. I'd like to visit there as well. Next time, I plan to buy a whole Panettone and savor it over time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It's a specialty bakery. If you're buying cake, RIVA chocolatira is the place to go. It's conveniently located on the main street. The interior of LESS has about five seats, but it doesn't feel like a place to relax. Pastries are pricey, but that's Ebisu for you. The Peanut Honey Ganache with Curry Spice is rich and surprises your taste buds. You can really taste the pistachio in the Pistachio Cookie; it pairs well with coffee. The Peanut Pecan Nut with Burnt Butter isn't too hard, and it's the sweetest among the three. The curry-spiced pastry was the most delicious overall, including its price. Rating: 3.7

On Thursday morning at 10:45 AM, I got off at the north exit of Nishi-Ogikubo Station and walked northwest for about 15 minutes. I arrived just as the place was opening, so I went straight in and ordered a cream puff for 388 yen. I ate it in a nearby park after walking a bit, and the cream was incredibly rich and delicious - absolutely irresistible. It was a hot day, so it really lifted my spirits! Thank you for the meal! I'll definitely go back again. ^ ^

Popular patisserie in Ebisu. Currently, they mainly sell fresh sweets at "RIVA chocolatier" nearby, but they still accept orders for birthday cakes at "Less". [Menu] ▪️ Birthday Cake Vanilla Shortcake When you take a bite, it's milky with a spread of vanilla and custard egginess. Simple yet incredibly delicious. The cake base is moist. Seasonal fruits include strawberries, raspberries, yellow peaches, and Shine Muscat grapes. The peaches were incredibly delicious. The strawberries have a strong acidity that pairs well with the cake. The raspberries, on the other hand, were surprisingly sweet.

Heading down a small alley from Meguro Station toward Ebisu Station, you'll find a quaint little shop surrounded by greenery near Ebisu Garden Place. At first glance, you might mistake it for a café, but it's actually a cake shop called Panettone. With a few seats available for dining in and benches outside, it's a perfect spot to relax. They also serve drinks. This time, I tried their almond financiers and madeleines! Priced at around 300-400 yen, they're quite affordable and make for a nice little thank-you gift. The almond financier, as the name suggests, has almonds on top. The texture is moist, and the sweetness is just right. I really liked the texture of the cake. The madeleine has a strong egg flavor, but personally, I prefer the financier. It seems they used to offer fresh cakes as well? Their baked goods have a decent shelf life, so I'd love to visit again for a gift or something similar. ☺️

#Location and shop A renowned sweets shop located less than a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Garden Place. It has been selected as one of the top 100 shops for both 2022 and 2023, showcasing its prowess. Even those who enjoy following popular trends have researched and visited this sweets shop listed in the top 100 on Tabelog. #Menu - Pecan Nut Tart Cookie: A delicacy featuring pecan nuts and burnt butter with a hint of butterscotch. In short, it's a delightful blend of fragrant sweetness. With a generous spread of paste-like butterscotch, it offers ample satisfaction despite its modest size. The pecan nuts add a nice touch, making it undeniably delicious! - Macadamia Cookie: A treat topped generously with macadamia nuts on a soft cookie base, offering a delightful contrast in textures. While the saltiness of the macadamia nuts is slightly pronounced, it's complemented by the sweetness of caramel, giving it a salted caramel flavor. Undoubtedly delicious, though personally, I prefer the Pecan Nut Tart Cookie. - Ice Cafe Latte: A classic cafe latte without any noticeable special touches like cinnamon or additional spices. If you're expecting some unique twist, you won't find it here. It's not necessary to specifically seek it out unless you're looking for something with a particular flair. #Additional Information - The shop is a bit tucked away in an alley, so I had a slight difficulty finding it even with a map. Remember to head towards the alley near the nearby park. - Seat reservations are generally not available except for special occasions (such as events), and there are only four seats available, so it's primarily for takeout. - Prices are a bit on the higher side, making it suitable for occasions like celebrations or visiting friends' homes. It's a delightful treat fitting for the Ebisu neighborhood. - Overall, it was a delightful experience!

[Location] About a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Garden Place (about 15 minutes from Ebisu Station) [Time] Saturday afternoon [Companions] Family [Menu] Pecan Nut Tart Cookie ¥700, Macadamia Cookie ¥700, Iced Cafe Latte ¥600 The eat-in space has only 4 seats, with a size of about 3 to 4 tatami mats, so it's not a place for lingering but more suitable for takeout. When I visited, they mentioned that the eat-in space is available only for dessert course reservations, so we opted for takeout. - Pecan Nut Tart Cookie: The balance between pecan nuts and the salty sauce is excellent! The crunchy aroma that spreads in your mouth is delightful. - Macadamia Cookie: It's generously filled with macadamia nuts. Underneath the macadamia nuts is a salty sauce, making it a recommendation even for those who don't like overly sweet desserts! Both come with cookies. The texture of the dough is slightly firm on the surface, similar to financiers, but soft and fluffy inside. Since each piece isn't too big, it's recommended for those who don't like overly sweet treats or as a gift for female friends. Overall, it's a cake shop worth recommending!

This is a review of a bakery in Ebisu that specializes in "Panettone" and baked goods. The owners, Mr. Sakakura and Mr. Riva, offer "Panettone" (made with mother yeast), baked goods, and jams. They also have a seating area where you can enjoy "Panettone," baked goods, and items from their second shop, RIVA chocolatier's "Petit Gateaux," with drinks. The bakery opened in September 2019. Since the opening of RIVA in July 2022, the "Petit Gateaux" are sold there, and this shop focuses on baked goods and "Panettone" exclusively. The bakery is located about 8-10 minutes from Ebisu Station. You need to head towards Meguro from the Ebisu South Intersection, pass the Ebisu South 1st Park Intersection, and then take the second block's alley on the left (it can be hard to find). The reviewer visited in the morning of December 2019 and had the "AGRUMI Panettone (Orange/Lemon/Yuzu)" with coffee. Upon revisiting in the afternoon, they found a display of freshly baked goods, cut "Panettone," and items that last a few days. The "Modern Cookies" caught their attention, and they purchased four types. The seating area had expanded since their last visit. The main purpose of this visit was to enjoy the "Petit Gateaux" purchased from RIVA. They selected the Elderflower Soda from the drink menu, which had a clear and elegant aroma with a refreshing aftertaste. The service was excellent, with detailed explanations of the sweets. The "Modern Cookies" were unique, and they ended up purchasing a few, including the Pistachio Cookie and the Chiba Peanut Galam Masala Cookie, both offering rich flavors and textures. The GR Panettone (Milk Chocolate/Hazelnut/Orange) was also delicious, with a fluffy texture and a rich taste of milk chocolate and orange. They couldn't taste the hazelnuts much, but it was a delightful "Panettone." The reviewer concluded that they would like to create an opportunity to revisit, as "Panettone" is a favorite in their household regardless of the season.

The shop is located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station. I tried their pistachio cookies and found them rich and quite delicious. The financiers were also fragrant and tasty. I'd definitely like to visit again when I'm nearby.

I arrived a bit before 12 o'clock on Sunday. The entrance had grapevines with baby grapes growing, really giving off a summer vibe. Inside, it was a sophisticated space typical of Ebisu, with a refreshing greenery. I tried the Italian Piedmont hazelnut financiers for ¥380, which smelled amazing. They mentioned that the hazelnuts were from Piedmont, Italy, which is known for its wine and food treasures, making them quite rare. It could be a great match with wine too. The cafe was stylish, with chic people enjoying themselves. I didn't expect to find such a cafe in Ebisu, but I'll definitely drop by again, especially since I often have meet-ups in the area.

I walked through the sidewalk towards Garden Place and everything was fine until I reached the traffic signal. I got confused when I saw a park on my right, even though Google Maps showed I had arrived. I wandered around a bit, lost about 5 minutes, but eventually found my way. I bought Panettone and chocolate pastries. It was my first time trying Panettone, and it was delicious with a refined sweetness.

Visited "LESS" in Ebisu. It's a popular dessert spot in Ebisu. "LESS" is located near Ebisu Garden Place, tucked away in a corner of a back alley. It has a small, quaint exterior with an atmosphere that suddenly grabs your attention. As you step inside, it's refreshingly cool. The feeling is akin to stepping into a foreign establishment. Japan can feel so hot; it might as well be tropical. The front displays sweets, primarily baked goods. There's a café area to the side. This time, I decided to buy some sweets to take home. Ordered from the friendly and helpful staff. They were bright and left a lasting impression. Paid with a credit card and had the treats brought home. Below are the details: □ Baked Cheesecake (760 yen tax included) - A very moist cheesecake. The moisture is incredibly striking. The crust at the bottom is crispy, which I prefer. A hint of lemon fragrance gently spreads in the mouth. □ Chestnut Cake (500 yen tax included) - Pound cake with candied chestnuts. It has a crispy texture, resembling a baked confection. Perfect as a tea snack. □ Tonka Bean Cake (600 yen tax included) - Cake infused with tonka bean fragrance. Coated in chocolate, the inside is moist, with a hint of being soaked in liqueur. The sweetness is just right, giving it an adult impression. Overall, it's a cake shop with an adult vibe. The foreign aroma lingers, fitting perfectly with the image of Ebisu's streets. It was delicious. Will definitely come again. Thank you for the meal.

I tried a collection of rich and elegant, sophisticated cakes, and among them, the cheesecake was unbeatable. The combination of crispy buttery cookie crust with a hint of salt and the light, fluffy texture of the cheesecake was exquisite. It was so refreshing that I thought I could keep eating it. It was also delicious when thoroughly chilled. 😄

The pistachio cookie/praline/caramel was priced at 865 yen, and it was coated with cake chocolate infused with tonka bean fragrance for 600 yen. Although it's a pistachio cookie, the combination of pistachio and nut flavors with a hint of caramel was just right and very delicious. As for the cake, the sweetness of the chocolate was also just right, making it very tasty.

Even though I'm usually critical, this is so delicious that I can't help but praise it. It's so delicious that I can't think of any other comment. It's pricey, like something you'd buy at a hotel, but the taste matches the cost. Every time I go, I want to try all the varieties. It's my favorite cake in Tokyo, maybe even in the world. It's incredibly rich and tasty, yet I feel satisfied even after just a little. In the end, I always end up eating about 3.4 pieces.

Second visit. The pistachio cookies I tried last time have become a staple for me, along with the financiers and panettone. The pistachio cookies are moist with a perfect balance of caramel sweetness and saltiness, an unforgettable taste for adults. The financiers, which I tried for the first time, are incredibly delicious—I can't quite put it into words. Just try them, you won't regret it.

I used it for eating in just after the opening on Sunday. It was disappointing that there were no fresh cakes, but I ordered soft pistachio cookies and iced coffee. Chocolate came as a complimentary service.

I visited around 12:30 on a weekday at a lovely place near a park, a little walk from Ebisu Station. It's in a quiet alley, so it might be hard to notice if you don't aim for it. Despite being very popular, the exterior exudes sophistication and a luxurious feel, almost like a resort in Bali. Inside, there are counter seats on both sides facing the walls, and you can enjoy your food inside. Facing you, there are beautifully arranged cakes and cookies that instantly boost your mood. The Baked Cheese Cake Chocolate costs 760 yen. I expected a fluffy mousse-like cake, but it turned out to be densely packed. With each bite, the rich chocolate flavor unfolds. It's incredibly delicious, not overly sweet, giving off an adult dessert vibe. The balance between refined sweetness and bitterness is perfect. The Ome and Perilla Soda, priced at 700 yen, might be a genius summer drink. The combination of acidity, sweetness, and aroma is outstanding. It's refreshing with a subtle sweetness. The taste is so delightful that you forget the scorching heat you walked through. Truly an exquisite drink, it was incredibly delicious.

After having curry, I went for something sweet. It's about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu Station towards Meguro. I visited around 4 PM on the weekend, and there were available seats, so I decided to dine in. The pistachio cookie was delightful and exactly to my liking. I enjoyed pistachio cookie, praline, caramel marshmallow glace, chestnut pound cake, baked cheesecake, and chocolate.

I smoothly purchased Milk Chocolate, Hazelnut, and Orange Panettone (1/4) just before 5:00 PM on Saturday or Sunday. It's a unique delicacy with a slightly sweet, fluffy, and moist flavor. Previously, I've tried the Chestnut and Rum flavors, which were also fantastic. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
