I stayed at ONSEN RYOKAN Yukari Sapporo during my trip to Sapporo. They have hot springs, saunas, and outdoor baths, which was amazing. The breakfast was quite filling and reasonably priced at ¥2,800. The main dish was grilled Atka mackerel on rice, which I tried for the first time and it was delicious! I was especially impressed by the drinks, as Hokkaido milk is really rich and tasty. Here is the course menu:
- Chef's Choice Course ¥2,800
- Today's sashimi platter (Bluefin tuna, Scallop from Sarufutsu, Sweet shrimp)
- Potato salad with male baron potatoes from Shihoro Town
- Steamed egg custard with yuba and yuzu pepper sauce
- Chicken meatball wrapped in cabbage with consommé and tomato sauce
- Assorted tempura (Shiitake mushroom, Bell pepper), Grilled trout with lemon oil and grated daikon, Cheese fish cake, Rolled omelette with dashi, Shishito pepper with Tosa-style seasoning, Simmered shrimp, Black tea smoked duck, Sweet simmered sweet potato, Vinegared lotus root, Pickles
- Grilled Atka mackerel on rice
- Miso soup
- Muscat jelly
- Kobayashi Farm Story refreshing milk from Sawayaka

ONSEN RYOKAN Yuuen 1st floor "Summer below, winter above" is a Japanese restaurant with a lot of fish for breakfast... Herring sashimi, grilled trout, anglerfish with sauce, vinegar-pickled shishamo, herring meat croquette, and potato salad with salmon roe. For those with simple tastes, ham and scrambled eggs with natto rice will do. The rooms are nothing special, lacking a sense of luxury. Not worth the price. I think staying at Koritsu's place would be better. Breakfast costs 2,800 yen, but I feel like the buffet at a nearby long-established hotel or a taller hotel would be better...
