A super popular restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Nakano Station (JR Chuo Line, Tokyo Metro Tozai Line) where you can enjoy delicious tuna. Despite its relatively low rating of 3.59 on Tabelog, reservations are a must. Reservations open at noon one month in advance and fill up quickly. We also made our reservation right when it opened. This place offers delicious tuna at a reasonable price. For first-timers, the "Tuna Course 7 Items" for 3,608 yen is recommended. Due to the depletion of tuna resources, tuna prices have been rising in recent years, and this restaurant has also significantly increased its prices as of December 2022. However, the menu is still extensive and impressive. This time, we ordered individual items. First, we had the "Otoshi" appetizer, which consisted of lightly grilled scallops, lotus root, and tuna broth. The "Tuna Mart Plate" for 1,078 yen (order for 2 servings) includes 6 types of tuna sashimi and tuna cheek steak. It's a must-order dish where you can fully enjoy different cuts of tuna. The sashimi is thickly sliced, offering a great value compared to a fish market. The "Chutoro" tuna for 2,508 yen allows you to shave it yourself with a spoon. It's a direct way to enjoy the deliciousness of Chutoro and is another must-order dish. The vinegar rice and seaweed for 418 yen are charged separately. The "Uni and Tuna Sushi" for 1,076 yen combines tuna, sea urchin, and karasumi, creating a harmonious and delicious dish. Despite the modest amount of sea urchin, considering the current high prices, the cost-performance ratio is quite good. This is another dish you shouldn't miss. The "Tuna Yukke" for 988 yen uses the "nodoura" part of the tuna for a delicious yukke. It pairs perfectly with beer. The "Tuna Throat Meat Steak" for 968 yen comes with a garlic sauce with green chili peppers. It offers a unique and delicious taste that differs from beef steak. This dish may have a strong flavor (more suitable for younger people). The "Tuna Broth Potato" for 748 yen may not be noticeable as tuna broth, but it's a tasty dish. Alcohol options include draft beer for 638 yen, as well as sake and wine. However, the clientele is surprisingly young, so there is a good selection of sour cocktails. The maximum stay time in the restaurant is 90 minutes. With such good cost-performance, it's understandable why reservations are difficult to get. The staff can explain the dishes well (which should be a given, but many restaurants fail to do this nowadays), making dining out a delightful experience.

They did a great job of showcasing and selling it without disappointing customers by claiming to be a sushi restaurant with only tuna. I had been curious about Maguro Mart for a long time. I finally got to go one month ago at noon after making a quick reservation online. The place was quite crowded, and I even saw some foreigners there. I ordered the Maguro course with 8 dishes (3980 yen). The main Maguro Mart platter included rare cuts that melted in your mouth, and they were all delicious with wasabi soy sauce or salt. Additionally, there were other dishes like Yukke, tempura, and chu-toro, making it a true tuna feast. Apart from tuna, the scallop and corn tempura served as appetizers were also really tasty. I don't often get the chance to eat this much tuna at once, so I feel like I've had my fill for the year haha.

Since coming in April, this was my first visit. Today, I went with my colleagues for a drinking session. We started at 7:45 pm with a reservation for seats only and ordered a la carte. We had beer at the first place, so we started with highballs. The appetizer was a large scallop seared with tuna broth-cooked lotus root. Just like the oysters last time, the appetizer was excellent in taste! Next, we had tuna yukhoe and the classic tuna sashimi platter. We also added grilled tuna collar as it takes some time. While enjoying the appetizer and yukhoe, the tuna sashimi platter arrived! It's a must-order menu at this restaurant. It comes with 6 types of sashimi and one seared piece as a bonus. Everything was fresh and delicious. Personally, I recommend the brain and fillet! We then shifted to sake for drinks. First, we had Shichida's junmai. It goes well with sashimi! Then, the grilled tuna collar arrived! Although not very large, it was thick and had a great aroma from grilling. The unnecessary fat was removed through grilling, leaving the meat juicy and tender. Sake goes down smoothly! We added a cold-pressed junmai ginjo next. It's a crisp type that goes well with grilled fish! We also added rare tuna tempura. This tempura was also excellent! By frying thick red meat, you can enjoy the difference in texture between the rare inside and the seared outside! The white shrimp tempura and corn tempura were also perfect! As it was time for the last order, we finished with snow crab and premium negitoro sushi! The combination of crab and salmon roe with negitoro was luxurious and delicious. We stayed for 2 hours and left feeling very satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

Even though it's just tuna, there are actually various parts that allow you to enjoy different flavors all at once. They also provide explanations of the parts when serving. In addition to wasabi, they offer salt, chopped wasabi, sesame oil, and other condiments, allowing you to enjoy the freshness and flavor of the tuna. We also ordered the classic Tuna Collar grilled, which was surprisingly popular. Another unexpected hit was the scallops cooked in tuna broth as a complimentary dish. The texture and taste of the scallops were delicious! Overall, Maguro Mart had a high level of quality.

I made a reservation 2-3 weeks ago for the 3980 yen course. I was amazed by the quality for this price, it's definitely worth it! I even had to confirm if the medium rare steak was really for two people because it was so generous. I will definitely go back. This place is a must-visit!

You can enjoy various parts of tuna here. From sashimi to tempura, the dishes are all about tuna and they were delicious. They also provide detailed explanations about the different parts of tuna and how to eat them. I was very satisfied. The prices are reasonable too, so I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was simple and stylish, and we ordered an 8-course meal for 3980 yen. There were three of us, and we thought we would definitely need to order more, but the amount was so filling that we couldn't finish it all. Plus, the taste was incredibly delicious, and the way the food was served was innovative and interesting! The cost performance was so good that I would be willing to pay three times the price to go there again! It was the best! You should definitely visit this place at least once! Highly recommended!

Nakano is not a place I usually go to, but this time I went all the way there for this restaurant. If you love tuna, it's worth a visit! It's a popular place where reservations are hard to get, but my friend managed to book a month in advance for us. We ordered the Tuna Mart Morimori King Tuna full course. It includes parts like the jaw meat, akami, and toro that you don't usually get to eat. Definitely a must-try dish. The Negitoro & Uni sushi is a bit pricey at 1380 yen for 2 pieces, but it's worth trying! Uni has been expensive lately, so this price seems reasonable. They also have a wide selection of drinks, making it a recommended spot for tuna lovers who enjoy a drink!

It was heavenly to be able to eat so much delicious tuna. The tuna mart had a 6-piece assortment with medium fatty tuna x 2, lean tuna x 1, and jaw meat. The fatty tuna was soft, sweet, and delicious. Also, the scallops and lotus root served as appetizers were amazing. And the sake from Hitachinaka was really to my liking.

Finally visited this place I've been wanting to go to. You have to make a reservation to get in. I invited some friends to join me since they only accept reservations for groups of 4 or more. We ordered the recommended course menu with all-you-can-drink option. The sashimi with rare cuts of meat was incredibly delicious! We also enjoyed uni, tempura, and chutoro. It was a great value for the quality of food we received.

The 7-course menu with tuna potato salad pasta was amazing at this tuna izakaya. All the dishes were delicious. The sashimi was thick, fresh, and had a strong sweetness to it. It was great to be able to try parts of the tuna that are not usually available. In addition, the potato dish with bonito flakes and tuna broth was fluffy and well-seasoned, making it irresistible. The tempura, including the rare tuna tempura, was delicious, and the seasonal vegetable tempura (corn, asparagus) had a strong sweetness that was very tasty. Removing the giant medium-fatty tuna and rolling it like a hand-rolled sushi was not only delicious but also entertaining. Every dish was truly delicious, and I would definitely want to come back again. The quality and quantity for the price in the 3000 yen range is truly exceptional.

We visited the restaurant with two people on a Thursday before 8 pm, after making a web reservation one month in advance because it's so popular and hard to get a reservation. We ordered the 7-course tuna-only menu and it was a feast of tuna dishes. The tuna was so delicious with no fishy smell at all. The craft beer, Brewers Ale, was also delicious and highly recommended.

We decided to order a la carte as we already had an idea of what we wanted to eat. Here's what we ordered: - Appetizer (Scallop and Lotus Root): The scallop was delicious and set high expectations from the start. - Maguro Yukke (Tuna Tartare): Made with a flavorful cut of tuna mixed with egg. It looked delicious even when placed on rice. - Maguro Mart Assortment: A platter of various rare cuts of tuna sashimi, including medium fatty, lean, cheek, brain, temple, and seared tuna. Each piece had a different texture and flavor, making it a delightful experience. - Maguro "Nakaochi" (Bone-in Tuna): A highlight of the meal where we shaved off the flavorful meat around the bone using a spoon and wrapped it in seaweed to make hand rolls. It was an entertaining and recommended dish. - Maguro Rare Tempura: Crispy tempura made with delicious red tuna. Unfortunately, we missed eating this while focusing on the Nakaochi dish. - Grilled Tuna: Rare grilled cuts of tuna served on a platter. If Google Maps can guide you to a certain extent, you will be able to find the place easily. The key is to turn at the T-junction near the Lawson 3F convenience store. Once you turn, you will find Maguro Mart on your left. During the day, they only offer takeout, but during this season, you will need two items to enjoy your meal at home: ice packs and a cooler bag. It is essential for a delicious meal at home, and you can find them at a 100-yen store. The total cost for a half portion of the staff meal bowl and a Maguro-only bowl was 2170 yen. One dish may not be enough, but two dishes will leave you feeling satisfied. Personally, I found the Maguro-only bowl to be a bit monotonous, lacking in distinct flavors, while the staff meal bowl had a noticeable taste due to the tobiko sprinkled on top. The staff meal bowl is essentially a bowl of seafood with tobiko sprinkled on the edges, almost like a Maguro bowl (laughs). I should have ordered two of these instead. If you want a larger portion, order two bowls, and if you want to try a variety of dishes, order them separately. It's a good thing this place isn't nearby, or I would be tempted to visit every day.

I made a reservation for the popular tuna 7-course meal at 17:30 on a weekday, and entered the not-so-crowded restaurant. I sat at a table on the second floor with my friend, ordered drinks, and waited for the others to arrive. We had a toast with tuna broth and seasonal scallops. The tuna yukhoe had a flavorful sauce that went well with the alcohol. Next up was the impressive tuna platter! It included cheek meat, lower jaw, forehead, otoro, two types of akami, and chutoro. The cheek meat was described as meat-like by everyone and was delicious. The forehead was melt-in-your-mouth and tasty. Personally, I preferred the chutoro. We ordered sake here and enjoyed sashimi, tempura platter, and sake while chatting and laughing with friends. Then, the tuna nakaochi arrived! We all got excited. We enjoyed it by picking at it with small spoons like spatulas, making hand-rolled sushi with seaweed and rice. The tuna nakaochi, with just the right amount of fat, paired perfectly with the rice! We had a highball, shared two bottles of sake among four people, and the total bill was under 5000 yen!

I watched Yoshinobu's "Honest Sanpo" and visited the restaurant. I had three children with me, and they kindly arranged a room that felt like a private room for us. Thanks to that, we were able to enjoy our meal without worrying about the surroundings. The tuna, which was the main dish, was very delicious. We all enjoyed scraping the meat off the bones and wrapping it in vinegar rice set to eat, which was fantastic. I ended up getting three refills of the vinegar rice set. The dishes like potato with bonito flakes, yukhoe, and cheese with sake lees were all delicious. The tuna tasting set of six varieties also came with a bonus, which was a nice surprise. The operation was also very good, and I could see why it's so popular. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Since it's a popular restaurant where you can't get in without a reservation, I recommend making an early reservation once your plans are set.
