"Yakitori Shinohara" offers a dining experience similar to a sushi chef's omakase style. Priced at ¥14,500 (including tax) for a single course, it showcases the abundant use of rare "Kobe Takasaka chicken." The high-quality skewers and carefully selected ingredients alternate throughout the course. Not only is the quality of the yakitori exceptional, but the small bites rival those found in upscale kaiseki restaurants. The pairing is entrusted to a skilled sommelier, delivering a range of high-quality wines that complement the dishes perfectly. From start to finish, the stylish and enjoyable atmosphere enhances the overall experience, making the yakitori not just a grilled chicken place but leaving a lasting impression of a "chicken kaiseki cuisine." It's evident that the chef's dedication and thoughtful pairing create a true luxurious dining experience beyond just savoring the food.

Thank you very much for always visiting ✨ Please try bookmarking with the "Save Store" button if you like it. A restaurant in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo. It's a selected shop for the 2023 Yakitori EAST Best 100. It's a specialty shop for Takasaka Chicken from Kyoto, which is used in all items. When it comes to Takasaka Chicken, there are many shops that you can't get access to! It's an amazing chicken that can be eaten safely even as sashimi because it's sterile and can only be obtained from selected shops through rigorous selection. Although there are more shops that handle Takasaka Chicken in all items, there are only about 10 shops nationwide. The cooking is excellent, and the service is perfect! I went there last year, and everything has been upgraded, and I had a great time ✨ It's definitely a popular shop where you can fully enjoy the rare Kyoto Takasaka Chicken (*^▽^*) Here's what I had: ▼ Omakase Course ¥15,000 - Takasaka Chicken Mizutaki Soup ※ Refreshingly delicious ✨ - Grilled butterbur sprouts, bitter melon, and myoga ※ Rich and delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken Sashimi (thigh, breast, gizzard, liver) ※ All wonderfully delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken Tsukune marinated in soy sauce and kumquat ※ Excellent texture and deliciously sticky ✨ - Shoulder meat ※ Crispy skin, juicy and delicious ✨ - Obi (red meat) ※ Well-seasoned, chewy and juicy, delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken and Cheese Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) ※ Refreshingly delicious with richness from chicken and cheese, delicious ✨ - Chicken tenderloin skewers ※ Crispy skin, fragrant and juicy, delicious ✨ - Bonjiri (chicken tail) ※ Crispy skin, bouncy and delicious ✨ - Liver pate ※ Slightly sweet and moist, delicious ✨ - Esophagus ※ Good texture, juicy and delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken Tataki (thigh, breast) ※ Crispy skin, meaty and delicious ✨ - Quail ※ Rare and delicious ✨ - Deep-fried grilled blue cheese ※ Delicious, makes you want to drink wine ✨ - Skin-on neck meat ※ Slightly warm, good texture, delicious ✨ - Louis Vuitton box with black gloves appeared ♪ - Chicken wing joints ※ Extremely hot, very meaty and delicious ✨ - Chicken wing tips ※ Extremely hot, crispy skin, flavorful and delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken and asparagus spring rolls ※ Amazing flavor, crispy and fluffy, delicious ✨ - Tsukune (meatballs) ※ Hot, meaty and delicious ✨ - Pickled tomatoes ※ Cold, fruity and delicious ✨ - Takasaka Chicken, green peas, and Shizuoka Kan Kan Musume (corn) clay pot rice ※ Good flavor, umami, delicious ✨ - Ramen ※ Refreshing soup, delicious ✨ - Roasted green tea - Homemade mango ice cream ※ Sweet and creamy, delicious ✨ - Budějovický Budvar (Czech traditional beer) - Yamazaki Highball Thank you very much for reading to the end ✨ If you leave a comment, I will reply to it. This restaurant is difficult to book, so I rarely get to go, but their yakitori is delicious. Both their side dishes and skewers are incredibly tasty! The grilling is also perfect. On this day, about half of the customers were Chinese, and I always wonder how Chinese people manage to make reservations at this difficult-to-book restaurant! I'd like to go again at least once before the end of the year!

Daisho is managed by Mr. Aratou Yutorei, who is known for his attention to detail in his tools. It's about an 8-minute walk from Nogizaka. They use the rare Takasaka bird from Kyoto Tango in their ingredients, which makes the dishes incredibly delicious. There are about 7 dishes and 10 skewers available, with the option to add more skewers if needed. The meal concludes with cooked rice and ramen, followed by dessert. As a lover of chicken sashimi, this place is my favorite among yakitori restaurants.

Visit time: 17:20 Weekday wait time: Reservation (10 minutes wait after opening) Menu: Chef's choice ¥15,000 + additional + drinks I visited this lovely restaurant to celebrate a former colleague's career move. It's a charming place with only counter seating. While primarily a yakitori restaurant, they offer more adventurous dishes beyond skewers, like ones you eat with rubber gloves, which adds to its unique charm. They use high-quality Takasaka chicken, ensuring top-notch flavor. As an addition, we enjoyed the rare treat of chicken shirako, making it a thoroughly satisfying meal. Thank you for recommending some great spots in Osaka as we left. I'll definitely stop by when I'm back in Tokyo. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Yakitori restaurant in front of a US military facility in Nishi-Azabu, starts at 5:30 pm for the first round. They use rare Takasaka chicken from Kyoto Tanba, with a luxurious interior and service that more than meets the number of seats. Accordingly, it's on the pricier side, but having a place in Tokyo where you can eat chicken sashimi is precious. They also cater well to solo diners, making it a comfortable experience. The taste and selection of Japanese sake are good. I ordered an additional 4 skewers.

I had a work assignment at an academic conference and decided to treat myself by making a reservation at a nearby yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant. Although it's a bit away from Nogizaka, it's a must-visit place among the numerous renowned establishments. The theme for this visit was enjoying yakitori paired with wine. With guidance from the sommelière, I experienced the ultimate pairing with Takasaka chicken, where both the wine and the chicken were thoroughly delightful. I entered the restaurant at 8:30 PM, and it was lively with about 80% of the customers being foreigners, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Thanks to the attentive service of the staff, I had a blissful time even dining alone. After a long time, I encountered exceptional yakitori and wine. I wish I could provide detailed introductions for the dishes and wines, but I'm in a tight spot with a looming deadline for my paper. I'm not sure if the experience will come through in the photos, but I hope you can understand.

I tried OMAKASE for the first time after managing to snag a reservation by chance. It was my first time tasting Takasaka chicken, and oh my, it was unbelievably delicious. The richness of flavor and the variety of textures were truly shocking. I usually don't eat yakitori, but I've been underestimating it. I'm sorry. The course had over 15 dishes, and the value for money was outstanding. Perhaps because I was dining alone, all the staff were attentive and engaged in conversation, which I really appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It's a yakitori restaurant that uses only Takasaka-dori chicken on all their skewers. They're said to be the second-largest user of Takasaka-dori in Tokyo, with the first being that famous place from Kobe that everyone knows. Truly impressive for Nishi-Azabu. Despite being a yakitori joint, the ambiance is outstanding. And the yakitori itself is juicy and flavorful without being too heavy—honestly, it was surprising! The appetizers that come out here and there are delicious too. Balancing appetizers is crucial for women, right? I definitely want to visit again.

I'm looking forward to it every month. This month, I had blueberry and burdock root salad with tofu dressing. The combination of tartness and the Japanese-style dressing is delicious. I love the chawanmushi with cheese; it's something I look forward to every month. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) are tender and delicate due to being rare inside, which makes them tastier than regular ones. I'm happy that I can enjoy both mixed rice and ramen as the finale. The mango ice cream for dessert was refreshing and tasty. I'll definitely come back again.

I visited Yakitori Shinohara in Nishi-Azabu! The nearest stations are Nogizaka or Roppongi, I guess? It's a high-end yakitori restaurant in Nishi-Azabu. It feels like stepping into the world of Tokyo Calendar, a sophisticated yakitori place for adults. The Kobe Takasaka chicken was superbly delicious! You can enjoy not only skewers but also various side dishes, all of which are of high quality. It's great to be able to watch the cooking process right in front of you. They've made efforts to prevent the smoke from billowing up from the skewers. It's a popular restaurant with an atmosphere akin to staying at a traditional inn.

This marks Shinohara-san's fourth visit, and each time, the remarkable yakitori restaurant continues to evolve. It's impressive how relatively easy it is to make reservations through the OMAKASE reservation site. Nestled in Nishi-Azabu, on Stars and Stripes Street, this upscale yakitori restaurant offers the finest yakitori in the city. It's a superb blend of gastronomic yakitori dishes paired with sommelier-selected wines, delivering a luxurious experience at its finest.

Roppongi's Takasaka Chicken Yakitori restaurant. The course was ¥15,000 with skewers and side dishes alternating, and it had more volume than expected, which made it very satisfying. The course included Takasaka Chicken Soup, Shine Muscat and Blueberry Salad, assorted Takasaka Chicken skewers (thigh, breast, gizzard, liver), Chawanmushi with grated daikon, Soriresu (soft bones) and Negima (chicken thigh with green onions) skewers, Isezaki-grown burdock with blue cheese sauce, Takasaka Chicken Tataki (thigh and breast with skin), Seseri (chicken neck), Tebasaki (chicken wing tip), Harumaki (chicken breast wrapped in pork belly), Takasaka Chicken and edamame meatballs, clay pot rice with Yamanashi Prefecture corn and Shishito peppers, Takasaka Chicken ramen, Mango Sherbet as an additional dessert. The liver and soft bone skewers were delightful with a light richness akin to foie gras. The skewers, especially the cheese and juicy soft bones, were delicious, and the rare meatballs were particularly tasty. The liver and soft bone skewers had interesting flavorings and presentation, but since the liver was so delicious, I'd like to try it simply prepared next time. The organic lemon sour was subtly sweet and paired well, and the plum wine was also good. It was delicious, thank you for the meal! ( *´艸`)

Kyoto Takasaka Tori Goya in Kyoto offers a delightful variety of dishes. Some highlights include momo (chicken thigh) sashimi, sunagimo (chicken gizzard), and mune (chicken breast) sashimi. They also serve kinkan (kumquat) and katacha-wanmushi (steamed egg custard) featuring Ise lobster. Additionally, try their sasami (chicken tenderloin) liver pate. In Gunma's Isesaki, enjoy quail sashimi with blue cheese and honey, as well as grilled quail hearts and wings. Harumaki (spring rolls) with Kyoto's Takasaka Tori, Yamanashi's corn, and Shishito peppers in a hot pot is another delightful option.

Sometimes, I feel like treating myself to yakitori that elevates every level of what's being offered. With that in mind, I managed to secure a private room and booked a spot for the 20:30 seating on a weekday. Along the bustling streets of Nishi-Azabu, there were already people waiting for the next seating about 5 minutes before. Soon, they operate on a complete turnover system, so when they called out my reservation name outside the restaurant, I made my way in. Although it was my first visit and I initially preferred the counter, I decided to enjoy the atmosphere of the windowed private room along the street. It turned out to be a great choice as it allowed me to leisurely savor the food and drinks. The only course available was the omakase course featuring Kyoto Takasaka chicken. As for drinks, I hesitated because I tend to drink a lot. I was eyeing sake, and when I asked one of the staff, who surprisingly preferred sake despite being a wine sommelier, they mentioned they had a good selection with 7 varieties. Despite the somewhat hefty price of ¥15,000 per person for the pairing, I thought, "Why not? With 7 servings, it's manageable for two!" So, I placed the order, ready to fully embrace the drinking mode. The food was exceptional, with freshness and sweetness characteristic of Takasaka chicken. Each dish in Chef Shinohara's course felt like experiencing kaiseki cuisine, with seemingly simple yet meticulously prepared dishes, striking contrasts in presentation, and flavors that hinted at hidden intricacies. I was intrigued by the tableware as well. Personal highlights included the Takasaka chicken sashimi, raw tsukune (chicken meatball), negima (chicken and leek skewer), deep-fried blue cheese sandwich, and the final dish, ramen. I'll supplement the finer details with photos. And then there was the sake pairing—a luxurious selection indeed. Starting from the trendy Sandoteki, progressing through Shirataki's Juyondai, with a sprinkling of prestigious labels like Kiy and Tatenokawa, and finishing off with Juyondai's Sake Mirai, it was a premium experience. At ¥15,000, it was definitely worth it. Seriously. As we savored each dish and conversed, time flew by. I realized there were quite a few dishes I forgot to capture in photos. By the end, with the rice, ramen, and dessert, my stomach felt like it might burst. Completely satisfied! While the sake pairing might not suit everyone's taste, I highly recommend experiencing the omakase course featuring Takasaka chicken at least once.

It's my favorite restaurant that I visit every month! This month's meal was also very delicious and satisfying! The chawanmushi with cheese inside has a Western twist but it's incredibly tasty and I love it. The liver pate here is really delicious and easy to eat because it's not too strong. It's also great that you can choose from two different ways to finish the meal.

Shinohara Yakitori in Nishiazabu. On the second night after being stood up by a friend in Roppongi, Shinohara-san kindly accommodated me. The previous day, I received assistance from Shinohara-san at Akasaka Sushi Shino, so I ended up relying on Shinohara-san two days in a row. The top image is the thigh joint, beautifully grilled. It's my favorite part of yakitori - muscular, bursting with juicy flavor. Power lies in strength, justice in righteousness. The thymus, a new part I tried this time, was also excellent. It's fatty but not heavy, with a delightful chewiness. Shinohara-san pays attention to detail in both yakitori and side dishes. There are new additions to the skewers, creative ways to eat, and adjustments to flavors with tangy dishes, indicating a new stage of culinary refinement. We enjoyed over 10 additional skewers. Thank you, Chef Shinohara, for accommodating us despite the sudden visit. Thank you for the feast. We'll be back.

Finally, it arrived! Kobe Takasaka Chicken Yakitori Shinohara-san! As soon as I entered the restaurant, I felt excited seeing Master Shinohara preparing. We opted for a wine and sake pairing. There's even a sommelier! - Wonton: Delicious broth, finished every drop. - Assorted Sashimi: Incredibly tasty! - Thigh Base of Free-range Chicken: Exceptionally rare cut, incredibly delicious! - Raw Tsukune: Wrapped in seaweed with chicken "Kin-kan" (immature egg). Sweetness from the Kin-kan blended perfectly with the raw Tsukune. - Tamagomeshi with Tanaka Farm Eggs: Enhanced richness with mozzarella cheese and chicken. - Sasami: Perfectly rare and moist. - Bread and Liver Pate: Bread lightly grilled, perfect match with liver pate. - Grilled Blue Cheese with Sasami: Sweetened blue cheese, delightful accent between the chicken, and delicious! - Quail Eggs: Perfectly runny! - Grilled Awaji Island Grape Tomatoes: Skilfully prepared, bursting with flavor. - Tataki with Daikon Oroshi: Exceptional! - Sakimi, Chicken Skin, Seseri, Kashira, Outer Thigh Meat, Spring Roll, Tsukune: Juicy and delicious. - Pickled Tomatoes: Refreshing. - Bamboo Shoot Rice: Delicious, had seconds! - Shoulder Meat: Excellent! - Soup Soba: Perfectly balanced. - Ice Cream: Served elegantly, tasted delightful with olive oil. The red bear ornament in the discreet part of the kitchen caught my eye. It's a limited edition from Baccarat, which Shinohara-san bought out of fondness. Had to snap a photo. Takasaka chicken is indeed delicious! The grilling and seasoning were exceptional! It was an impressive yakitori experience! Will definitely come back!

Upon arriving at the restaurant, there were already people waiting in front, and it seemed like they were being seated in order. The interior had a counter and private rooms. Starting with drinks: - Bud Bar - Takasaka chicken wonton soup - Spring mountain vegetables with rapeseed flowers, codfish, and shimeji mushrooms - Sashimi: liver, breast, thigh, gizzard - all delicious! Is it the quality of the ingredients that makes the difference? Delicious. - Raw tsukune and kinkan (kumquat) seaweed roll: A small delight, with the melt-in-your-mouth kinkan, the aroma of seaweed, and the pleasant texture of raw tsukune. - Embrace-grilled (grilled skewer): Perfectly cooked! - Herb salad - Takasago sunset chawanmushi (savory egg custard) - Solires: Undoubtedly delicious, bursting with umami! I want another one. - Homemade liver pate - Blue cheese sandwich: This is interesting! - Quail eggs - Chicken tenderloin - Breast and thigh tataki - Skin - Chicken wing tips - Skin-on seseri (neck meat) - Pickled tomatoes - Takasaka chicken and Kochi ginger clay pot rice - Ramen soup was (゚д゚) yummy! - Caramel ice cream The owner was friendly, sharing various stories and asking about our preferences. The taste was, of course, delicious, but there was one staff member who seemed to be a bit off in terms of service. In this price range, it was a bit disappointing. The guidance upon entry was confusing, and after entering, we were left unattended. When trying to go to the restroom, another staff member, who had been holding customers' belongings, blocked the way. Although they eventually moved aside, the attention seemed lacking. Despite this, the dishes were delicious. Thank you for the feast! (*´▽`*)
