It was the most delicious fish dish in my life (I heard that even celebrities come to this restaurant). Every dish that came out was generous and thick! It was amazing. This is a long-established restaurant that I have been visiting for a long time! The crab here is the best!!! This time, it's not the season for Matsuba snow crab, but they had huge Zuwai crabs!!! They were so plump and delicious, haha. The sashimi was also amazing - striped jack, amberjack, flounder, medium fatty tuna, and red snapper were all top-notch!!! The simmered flounder, sea urchin, salmon roe, clams, and horse mackerel Nanban were all excellent!!! Uncle, please stay healthy and keep up the good work!!! There are so many things I want to eat here, so you need to come with at least 4 people because the portions are no joke, haha.

The first thing that came out was a sashimi assortment in a bucket. The thickness of the sashimi and the beautiful presentation were impressive! The other dishes were also delicious and generously portioned. The menu is limited, with no options for salads or rice dishes, which is a bit disappointing, but if you're looking for a seafood feast, this place is recommended. We were a group of 8 and kept ordering beer jugs, and the total bill was around 6000 yen, so it was good value for money. This is a restaurant suited for large groups.

I finally managed to visit the restaurant. It was quite a challenge to catch a taxi in the heavy rain, but I made it here. The sashimi was as delicious as rumored. I ordered a two-person serving, which included a five-kind assortment of tuna, yellowtail, striped jack, flounder, and sea bream. They were all thickly sliced and tasty, but I especially enjoyed the yellowtail, striped jack, and flounder for their firm texture and great taste. The shrimp was decent. The volume of salmon roe was impressive, and it's not something you see often in Tokyo, so as a fan of salmon roe, I was thrilled. I wanted to try the crab, but they only had snow crab, so I passed since it's not the season for it. I hope to visit again when it gets colder.

The fish was delicious and I was impressed! Whether it was sashimi, grilled, fried, steamed, or marinated in vinegar, every way of preparing it was very tasty. Shrimp, marinated small horse mackerel, assorted sashimi, grilled swordfish collar, horse mackerel sashimi, grilled white fish in foil, and fried anglerfish (forgot to take a photo) were all very satisfying in terms of cost performance. If you want to eat fish, this is the place to go. The horse mackerel sashimi was incredibly sweet and delicious. Just be aware that they only accept cash.

I went to a traditional Japanese restaurant called "Washoku-dokoro Itaroku" in the good old days of Japan. It was quite crowded, so I was taking a stroll in the adult town. As the reviews said, the portions were quite generous and the taste was really good. I especially liked the simmered kinmedai (golden eye snapper) and the sake-steamed clams. I wanted to try the grilled dishes too, but my stomach couldn't handle it. However, I felt like I could drink the endless mackerel ball soup... Mackerel ball soup is rare, isn't it? This restaurant recommended by Mr. Terumon Jimon. I had been told by an acquaintance to try it out, so I went. I was able to make a reservation over the phone two weeks in advance, but they were already fully booked after 7 pm, so I booked for 5 pm. The restaurant is located right near Setagaya Park, and can be reached from Ikejiri Ohashi Station, Sangenjaya Station, or from the Yutenji or Gakugeidaigaku areas. The interior has a counter, tables, and a tatami room at the back with a decent number of seats. As soon as I entered, I was told, "We don't have menus, so take a look at the menu photos on the wall or come and order." So, I took photos of the menu. I ordered a sake bottle from the fridge, and if there was any left, you could take it home. They also had popular sakes like Shinsei, Nichinichi, and Tenmi. I ordered a sashimi platter (which was surprising as it was for 2 people), ark shell, grilled pregnant squid, sake-steamed clams, white fish and mushroom foil bake, smelt tempura, tamagoyaki, Japanese sake (one bottle each of Nichinichi and Tenmi), and 3 draft beers. Apart from the sashimi, everything was for one person, but as rumored, the portions were huge! We went with 4 people and we were full. It cost around 25,000 yen for the four of us. We also ordered two bottles of sake, so I thought it was a good deal. It's no wonder it's a popular restaurant.

The seafood was all incredibly delicious. The dishes, including hairy crab and sea urchin, were great value for money. I recommend ordering plenty before the restaurant gets crowded. Although sake is not listed on the menu, there are plenty of options available!

I visited a restaurant that I used to go to frequently before the pandemic, and as always, the portions were huge! It's a bit inconvenient if you just want to eat some sashimi, as you need to go with a large group. It's a little disappointing that I can't go unless I can invite a lot of people.

If you want to enjoy fresh seafood, then I recommend "Ichiryu" in Sangenjaya. As someone who grew up as a fisherman's grandchild on an island, I can say with confidence that the seafood here is incredibly delicious. While it's common for high-end sushi restaurants costing 20-30,000 yen to have tasty seafood, here you can eat and drink for less than 10,000 yen and still be completely satisfied. Each menu item is quite large, so be careful not to order too much. For the sashimi platter, it's best to order half the amount for the number of people dining, as it will be enough. Since the menu changes based on the day's fresh ingredients, it's recommended to call after the shop opens to reserve the seasonal dishes you want to try. Going with a group of 4-8 people is ideal, as you can try a variety of dishes and have a fun dining experience.

The portions are huge but the taste is delicious. It's amazing. There were more than 10 pieces of smelt tempura in one serving haha. The sashimi portion for two people was also quite large. I saw someone eating alone at the counter, but it seems like the food options are limited if you're dining alone. It might be a bit challenging for couples too. But if you go with a large group and enjoy eating and drinking together, I think it's a great cost performance!

It had been so long since I last went there ^_^ The sashimi platter and snow crab were delicious as always. The simmered cod roe was really tasty~ I actually wanted to have an eel rice bowl at the end, but it was sold out so I ended up having the cod roe simmered with rice.

There is a seafood restaurant near Setagaya Park that I often visit! Each dish here is very generous in portion size, so it's just right for about four people to order a variety of dishes. This time, I ordered grilled fish, raw spot prawns, marinated horse mackerel, grilled squid, sake-steamed clams, tuna sashimi, vinegared miso, red clam sashimi, and sardine miso soup. The portions were so generous that it seemed like they might be losing money on it - the service here is full of hospitality!

During the pandemic, I couldn't come to this restaurant at all. It's been a while since I last came, but the food is still fresh and incredibly delicious. I always order crab and sea urchin, but did you know that their grilled eel is also amazingly delicious? It surpasses other eel restaurants. After trying a variety of dishes, we finished with grilled eel. We came with four people for a celebration for Hiro, who retired from K-1, and we shared two grilled eels. It was delicious as always! Ossu ossu!

There is a Japanese restaurant near Setagaya Park. In the past, Sangenjaya was known as a playground, but now there are 2-3 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Inside, there are counter seats, table seats, and a private room. The seafood is delicious and reasonably priced, almost as if you were in Hokkaido. It's so impressive that everyone gets excited and forgets to take photos. The sea urchin is served in a box with seaweed and salt for you to roll yourself, a luxurious treat. If you want to enjoy delicious seafood in a large group near Misuji, this is the place to go! This restaurant has maintained a good reputation for many years. It is best suited for those who prefer seafood over meat dishes. The entrance has a counter with about 8 seats and 4-5 tables. You can order while looking at the display case in front of the counter, rather than the traditional counter-style dining. There is a spacious tatami room in the back and even a second floor. Some types of sake may be expensive, but everything else is reasonably priced. Shochu is also reasonably priced in 4-5 bottle sets for 3,000-3,500 yen. Beer is served in large bottles. While there is a menu at the tables, it's better to go to the counter and choose from the daily fish selection displayed on the wall. This way, you can smoothly order without bothering the servers too much. We ordered a sashimi platter (tuna, medium fatty tuna, amberjack, sea bream, flounder) for 3 people (7,500 yen), white fish milt with ponzu sauce (1,500 yen), clam steamed in sake (2,100 yen), deep-fried smelt (1,800 yen), small horse mackerel in sweet vinegar sauce (650 yen), and simmered fish head (650 yen). The dishes were all prepared in a way that enhances the natural flavors of the ingredients, with a subtle taste that is refreshing for Tokyo standards. We also had 4 large bottles of beer and a 4-bottle set of sweet potato shochu for 3,500 yen. Overall, the food was good, but perhaps not as impressive as before.

[Washoku Dokoro Ichiryu] - Tokyo: Approximately 12 minutes walk from Sangenjaya Station South Exit A My friends took me to "Washoku Dokoro Ichiryu" for my birthday celebration, a restaurant that I love and was featured on Terakado Jimon's YouTube channel, "Terakado Jimon's Uzachannel"! I had no idea where we were going, but the sashimi platter for two, uni box, bay scallop sashimi, simmered flounder, red clam sashimi, and horse mackerel fry that they ordered were all generously portioned, thick, visually stunning, and incredibly fresh and delicious! The sashimi platter for two was like a platter for four at a regular restaurant, and they prioritize freshness in their offerings, so some may find it too mild compared to the recent trend of aged or matured sashimi, but as someone who also enjoys fishing and thinks freshly caught sashimi is delicious, I was very satisfied! Of course, I also like aged or matured sashimi, though (laughs). The bill for opening multiple bottles of beer and shochu, along with all these generously portioned and thick dishes, came out to just over 20,000 yen for three people, so the cost performance was also good! Each dish had such a large volume, so I think it would be best to visit with a group of four or more to enjoy a variety of dishes (^-^) It may be difficult to get a reservation as regular customers keep booking ahead, but I would like to try making a reservation on my own next time.
