Every time I come to Arashiyama, I make sure to visit this delicious ice cream shop that offers a unique taste unlike any other ice cream I've had before. I highly recommend the "Full Soy Milk Ice Cream" which is so creamy that you can even hold it upside down without any issues. The taste resembles soy milk, giving you the sensation of drinking soy milk. While the other fruit-flavored ice creams are ordinary, the soy milk ice cream is a standout.

I've always wanted to try the soft serve ice cream here. And guess what! It's an amazing soft serve that doesn't fall even when turned upside down. The white one is tofu flavor and the gray one is black sesame flavor. It was delicious!!

I visited Arashiyama, a gourmet street in Kyoto, known for its tofu soft serve made with traditional Japanese ingredients. I waited in line for about 10 minutes on the weekend, and tried the sesame and tofu soft serve, half and half. They handed it to me after flipping it over in front of my eyes, which added an entertaining element. The tofu flavor was a bit unique, but strangely addictive. The sesame tofu was simply delicious. Thank you for the meal.

One of the popular tourist spots in Kyoto, representing Japan, that I love is Arashiyama. Arashiyama is always crowded with tourists of all ages and is known for its food stalls. I visited some of the popular food stalls in Arashiyama. One of them is Kyoto Mamean, which has two stores, including one in Fushimi Inari, Kyoto, and was established in 1999, celebrating its 24th year this year. The nearest station is Arashiyama Station, which is about a 5-minute walk away. Kyoto Mamean sells handmade soy milk sweets made with domestically produced soybeans. On this day, I ordered the "Silky Tofu & Black Sesame Kinako Tofu" (432 yen) that was buzzing on social media. It is a soft serve ice cream with a mix of silky tofu and black sesame kinako tofu flavors, known for its rich texture that won't fall even when turned upside down. There are several soft serve ice cream flavors available, but only a few won't fall even when turned upside down. Please do not turn the non-falling soft serve ice cream upside down. (laughs) It is made with 100% domestically produced soybeans, making it healthy and friendly to your health. It has a mild sweetness and you can enjoy it refreshing until the end. This popular soft serve ice cream that is easy to eat and popular on social media is also recommended for food stalls! [Order] ◇ Silky Tofu & Black Sesame Kinako Tofu 432 yen

Located in Kyoto Prefecture, "Kyoto An" is just a 5-minute walk from Keifuku Arashiyama Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station. It is also an 8-minute walk from Togetsukyo Bridge. Although it is a take-out only shop, there are benches in front of the store where you can eat. However, it can be difficult to find a seat due to the large number of people.
I ordered the artisan's special tofu soft serve for 432 yen. This ice cream doesn't fall even when turned upside down! It is made with the equivalent of one block of tofu, so the richness of the tofu is incredible. The aftertaste is refreshing! It is perfect for cleansing the palate. Made with 100% domestically produced soybeans, it is healthy and guilt-free to eat. Highly recommended for food hopping in Arashiyama!

Tofu and sesame ice cream! I tried it because it was a hot topic on Instagram that it doesn't fall even when turned upside down. I didn't have high expectations for the taste, but both the tofu and sesame were delicious! Both flavors had a strong taste of the ingredients, and it was a new experience. It felt a little chewy.

Ordered:
- Two types of double tofu soft serve ice cream
Located near the famous bamboo grove path in Arashiyama, where various gourmet street foods can be found. I tried the soft serve ice cream, which surprisingly doesn't fall even when turned upside down!
I chose a mix of two flavors: silken tofu and tofu with black sesame and kinako. Both had a nice tofu aroma and a gentle sweetness, making it easy to enjoy. The soft serve had a perfect balance of softness and elasticity, and was delicious!
Despite its richness, the tofu soft serve is healthy, which adds to its appeal!

Silken tofu and black sesame tofu soft serve for ¥350. There are various options to choose from, so it can be difficult to decide. However, the tofu soft serve has a limited selection, making it easier to choose. The process from ordering to receiving the product is smooth. When receiving the product, the sudden Turkish ice cream-like presentation can be surprising but enjoyable. It is fun to enjoy with friends and the mixed order allows you to taste both the silken tofu and black sesame flavors. You can taste the tofu properly and it is delicious. The reasonable price makes it easy to come back for more.

Located in a corner with several dining options near the entrance of Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, this place is famous for its soft serve ice cream that doesn't fall even when turned upside down. The staff even perform a little show by flipping it upside down before handing it to you! I tried it myself and if you don't flip it upside down, it starts to tilt... I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat. The kids I was with were swinging it around like crazy! However, they found the tofu flavor a bit too strong and preferred the regular one. Maybe it's more suited for adults? Despite being a bit pricey, the portion size is small, which was actually convenient for trying out different foods while walking around. How about making it a part of your memories from Arashiyama sightseeing?

The dish I enjoyed this time was the ★ Specialty Tofu Ice Cream - Silken Tofu & Black Sesame Kinako Tofu. This ice cream is amazing because it doesn't fall even when turned upside down. Isn't that incredible? But I was so nervous thinking what if it fell, so I took a picture while holding my breath (lol). In terms of taste, it didn't really taste like tofu, it was sweet and really delicious. Made with the finest organic soybeans, this healthy dessert is top-notch! Especially, the silken tofu was incredibly delicious, so I've decided to only order silken tofu next time I go. Kyoto Mamean Arashiyama is popular for its rich specialty tofu soft serve that doesn't fall even when turned upside down. Everyone was buying it and taking pictures while holding it upside down. Why don't you try buying this calorie-conscious and body-friendly sweet made with 100% domestically produced soybeans? The dish I enjoyed today was the ★ Specialty Tofu Ice Cream - Silken Tofu & Black Sesame Kinako Tofu, all of which were incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal. It was a restaurant I would like to visit again. I visited the second place for food tasting in Arashiyama. After trying out some food at Kotoimo Honpo, I continued my food adventure next door. I chose the classic tofu and sesame soft serve ice cream. The soft serve here is rich and thick, and it doesn't fall even when turned upside down, as demonstrated in the video. It's not only delicious but also a fun experience. If you enjoy food tasting and travel videos, please consider subscribing to my channel where I share more content like this.

I purchased the soft serve ice cream at Arashiyama that I had always wanted to try - the one that doesn't fall even when turned upside down. I got the silky tofu, black sesame kinako tofu flavors. I was really surprised that it didn't fall even when turned upside down! And the soft serve ice cream was delicious! The silky tofu flavor had a nice tofu taste, just as I expected. The black sesame kinako tofu flavor was rich in black sesame flavor. I love tofu soft serve, so this was my favorite kind! The sticky texture was also great! ☆

On the way to Fushimi Inari Taisha, I found some delicious-looking soft serve ice cream and decided to try it. They say it won't fall even if you turn it upside down! I was skeptical, but I tilted it and it didn't fall, haha. It was really amazing. The flavor was a mix of matcha. It was rich and very delicious.

When you come to Arashiyama, you should try the amazing soft serve that won't fall even when turned upside down, made with a mix of black sesame and vanilla. The staff showed me that it wouldn't fall before handing it to me. I wanted to try turning it upside down for a photo, but I didn't have the courage to do it myself and gave up. It was a soft serve with a smoothness that made sense coming from tofu. A healthy dessert. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Kyoto on a weekend in November. The temples and shrines in Arashiyama were at their peak of autumn colors, creating a stunning display of vibrant foliage. I visited several places such as Kameyama-koen, Seiryo-ji, Hojo-in, Okochi Sanso Villa, and Hogon-in, and made my way to the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge. The area was crowded due to the autumn foliage season. As I strolled along Naga-Tsukiji Street from Togetsukyo Bridge, I noticed a sweet shop that caught my eye. The sign advertised "Tofu soft serve ice cream made by dedicated artisans that won't fall even when turned upside down." I decided to try the "Tofu Ice Cream - Silken Tofu & Black Sesame Kinako Tofu" for 400 yen. I enjoyed it right in front of the shop. Just before handing me the soft serve with black sesame on the bottom and silken tofu on top, the staff performed an "upside-down performance." It reminded me of the Turkish ice cream I had in Cappadocia. Before eating it, I took a photo of it upside down myself. The reason it doesn't fall is because it is made with a whole block of tofu, which makes it rich and creamy. When I tasted the silken tofu soft serve, I could clearly smell the tofu. It was rich but not too sweet, surprisingly refreshing. On the other hand, the black sesame soft serve had a delicious nutty flavor and was exceptionally rich. Both had a smooth texture, and I enjoyed them until the last bite without getting tired of it. This high-quality dessert made with tofu is a must-try if you visit Arashiyama.

My sister and I came to Arashiyama together, so we bought the soft serve ice cream that is a hot topic at Kyoto An. The most popular is the "Double Tofu Soft Serve Ice Cream with 2 Flavors". You can enjoy both silky tofu soft serve ice cream and black sesame tofu soft serve ice cream at the same time. Right after buying it, we tried tilting the soft serve ice cream (more like at an angle than upside down) to test it, but... it really didn't fall off! (@_@;) However, it's still hot at this time of year, so... if you don't eat it quickly, the soft serve ice cream will start to melt, so it's dangerous (lol). It was my first time trying tofu soft serve ice cream in my life... and the taste was indescribable (lol). The concept of being less sweet and healthy is nice, and I think it's a low-calorie and body-friendly soft serve ice cream. However, because it has a strong taste of silky tofu, I'm not a big fan (^_^;) Compared to the silky tofu soft serve ice cream, the black sesame tofu soft serve ice cream was more like a dessert and delicious☆
