I have been here several times, but I was in a memo state. Please understand that there are some products that I have not reviewed properly. The must-buy items here are the "Muu" bread (located near the entrance, close to the cashier) and the French toast (located in the refrigerated section near the entrance). I always line up before opening to buy them, but they are taken by customers very quickly, so please be careful. You can use a credit card for payment. <May 2021> ● Muu 350 yen This popular bread goes well with espresso. When you buy it first thing in the morning, it is freshly baked and will get squished if you put it in your eco-bag. It is fluffy, fragrant, and a unique bread. ● French toast 680 yen This is also a familiar item. You can buy frozen products online, but the ones purchased at this store are refrigerated. It is a large French toast made with Muu, served with maple syrup, fork, and knife. Both my husband and I love this the most at this bakery. It is a bit expensive, so this time we shared one between my husband and me. It is large and voluminous, so sharing one is enough, but we decided to each buy one next time. ● Strong Milk French 260 yen This is a refrigerated product. It is a baguette filled with milk and miso cream. I believe it was limited to the Arashiyama store. When toasted, the milk keeps overflowing. When you bite into one side, milk comes out from the other side. The taste and aroma of the French bread are good, and the milk is delicious too! It lives up to its name of being the strongest. ● Hojicha Cream Pan 200 yen Limited to the Arashiyama store. The top was nicely risen, but it got squished when I brought it home, so I apologize for the lack of photogenic appearance. ● Kyoto Vegetable Curry Pan 280 yen Limited to the Arashiyama store. My husband tried it. ● Banana Pound Cake 250 yen A baked good in front of the register, with a shelf life of 4 days from the purchase date. ● Lemon Cake 250 yen A baked good in front of the register, with a shelf life of 4 days from the purchase date. <November 2021> ● Muu ● French Toast ● Two Types of Grape Bread 350 yen ● Herb Sausage 240 yen ● Raspberry and Pistachio 200 yen ● Croissant 280 yen ● Fig Chocolate Cake 350 yen <June 2022> ● Muu 400 yen Due to the recent rise in ingredient costs, the price has increased, but it remains a popular product with a purchase limit of 3 per person. I bought this must-buy item again after half a year and felt it again. It is delicious when eaten as is right after purchase, but I think it tastes even better slightly warmed the next day. ● French Toast 680 yen It's a French toast made with Muu, so it can't be anything but delicious, and it really is! It is a refrigerated product, but I think it's better to heat it up well. I first warmed it up lightly in the toaster, but it felt different, so I reheated it at a higher wattage until it was piping hot. This was the right choice. It was consumed after being stored in the refrigerator for a while after purchase, but the chewiness and flavor of the dough were not a problem. The Arashiyama limited "Matcha French Toast" also looks delicious, but if you want to enjoy the collaboration of Muu, eggs, and maple syrup, I think this is the best choice. ● Red Bean Bread 220 yen It's a small bread, but it seems to have a good volume. My daughter, who usually eats one red bean bread, tried it, and at first, she said, "Delicious!" but in the end, she couldn't finish the last bite and said thank you. I tried the rest, and the bread had butter kneaded into it, with a sweet flavor, it seemed more calorie-dense than it looks. I see. Even the red bean bread here is of high quality! I was impressed by the attention to detail! ● Salmon Croque Monsieur 450 yen Among the three types of croque monsieur available, this was one of them. It had salmon, cheese, mayonnaise on top, and tomato, zucchini, red and yellow bell peppers, and something else (eggplant?) with basil sauce between two slices of regular bread (not Muu). The bread was a delicious chewy bread. ● Tandoori Chicken and Summer Vegetables 350 yen A limited-time product. It contains chicken and summer vegetables in a chewy round sprouted bread-like bread.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, there were about 13 groups waiting in line when I arrived at the restaurant. The location and atmosphere of the place were excellent, with a traditional Japanese-style thatched roof building that had a charming feel to it. There were seating areas outside where you could wait, and the veranda seating had a nice ambiance with neither too hot nor too cold weather. The indoor table seating was also spacious and comfortable. Using the ticket machine in front of the restaurant to get a waiting number was convenient, allowing us to explore nearby tourist spots and return just in time to be seated. If you don't mind the type of seat, you may get called in relatively quickly. The matcha French toast was delicious, with a creamy texture and not too sweet, especially when drizzled with matcha syrup. While it may not be filling enough for a full meal, it's perfect for a snack during tea time. Highly recommended!

A popular bakery in Tokyo. I visited in the morning after sightseeing in Arashiyama, and had their morning set. I arrived around 9 o'clock and there were about 2 groups waiting in line, but we were seated relatively quickly. After some hesitation, as a sweet tooth, I ordered the French toast. The fluffy and melty texture was more like a dessert! I enjoyed changing the flavor by adding honey and finished it in no time. The canelé, only available in the brunch set, also looked appealing, so I would like to try it someday.

I was recommended this restaurant by my gourmet friends, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. The banh mi panini was crispy and tasty, and the drinks were also delicious. The afternoon tea set had a variety of flavors to enjoy. I would love to go back again!

I visited the bakery early in the morning to get a bread set. I had to wait for about an hour as the 4th group in line. I ordered by accessing the QR code on the table with my smartphone, and the jam with strawberry and mango was delicious without being too sweet. The fruit sandwich was juicy with melon. I also ordered a pudding, which was firm and tasty. The portions were bigger than I expected, and they even gave me a paper bag for the leftover bread. On my way back, I bought some bread at the adjacent building.

This is my first time posting, but it's actually my third visit. The spacious interior with a Japanese garden allows for a relaxing time. I wanted to try the peach fruit sandwich, but they only had cherry this time, so I missed out again. The matcha French toast (without ice cream) served after 2 pm is delicious, but a bit too sweet for my liking. The generous amount of matcha syrup is nice, but I wish it was a bit less sweet. You can also enjoy the purchased bread warm inside the store. My mom loves the mousse, so I definitely want to go back again.

The atmosphere was nice, but it was a bit disappointing that they didn't offer the shaved ice I wanted (›´ω`‹ ) I ordered a cream soda on a rainy day, but the nata de coco inside tasted bad (lol) The atmosphere was really good, so it's easy to chat there!

The cafe opens at 8:00 am on weekdays. It was easy to get in, but it quickly gets crowded with foreigners. I ordered the Matcha Tiramisu set with iced coffee for 1,300 yen, and later tried the Cream Soda on a rainy day for 850 yen. The prices seem fair, I guess. The iced coffee was delicious as expected. The matcha added a unique twist to the tiramisu. The Cream Soda on a rainy day was surprisingly tasty, with a sharp acidity that I enjoyed. The ice cream was of a traditional style, which I prefer not to melt. The constant flow of foreign customers makes me wonder what they are all watching. There are many different types of people here, but I really like the atmosphere of the cafe. Perhaps it's the underlying Japanese essence that makes it so appealing.

The lunch is priced at 1800 yen, which may seem a bit expensive. However, if you are looking to rest your tired feet in the tranquility just off the busy streets of Arashiyama, in a relocated traditional house facing a row of 500 arhats, then this place is perfect for you, especially for women. You can enjoy a variety of vegetables like green peas and tomatoes, along with 6-7 types of basic bread and homemade jam, small yogurt, and espresso. If it's crowded, you can also buy bread from the take-out bakery next to the main house, or visit the Arashiyama Bunkakan or the cafe at the Fukuda Museum nearby for more bread options. This is a Japanese bakery cafe with unique artisan bread that you won't find anywhere else in the world, a true Kyoto experience!

The atmosphere of the garden is very peaceful and it is a nice shop. I tried the espresso soft serve ice cream which had a great flavor and was very delicious. I also had the toast and salt bread, both of which were tasty. The prices are a bit high as it is a tourist area.

Located next to Tenryu-ji Temple in Arashiyama, this bakery seems to be a branch of a famous bakery in Omotesando. The cafe, housed in a traditional thatched-roof building, and the charming garden create a lovely atmosphere. I ordered the plate set for lunch, which came with 5 types of bread, cheese, prosciutto, salad, madeleine, and cheesecake all beautifully presented on a wooden plate. The set also included a drink for 2200 yen. I thought the amount of bread might be too much, but the saltiness of the ham paired well with the bread, and I ended up finishing everything.

I arrived at the restaurant at 8 am on a weekday. Surprisingly, there were already some people waiting for it to open. I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance and accidentally entered through the side door before opening time, but the staff kindly pointed me in the right direction. I ordered French toast and iced café au lait. The French toast was fluffy and delicious, and you can also drizzle honey on top. The ham, cheese, and salad were tasty as well. The yogurt served was unsweetened, which was a nice contrast to the sweetness of the French toast. There were a few solo diners around, and some empty seats probably because it was still early in the morning on a weekday. Most of the restaurants in this area usually open at 9 am, so if you can get there early like I did at 8 am, you might avoid the crowds. Overall, it was a satisfying experience having breakfast at this popular place I often see in magazines. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Kyoto and had breakfast at "Bread, Espresso & Arashiyama Garden" in Arashiyama. It was still before 8 am, so it was quiet and there were no tourists around, I could hear the birds chirping. There were already a few groups lined up before the opening, but I managed to get in first. I chose the Bamboo set for 2200 yen from the brunch menu. Unfortunately, the menu required scanning a barcode to order, and the young male staff only said "please order with this" without explaining how to choose the drink, so I ended up ordering without selecting a drink and had to do it later with another staff member. It was good to hear that you can take home any uneaten bread. The ham, salad, and cheese were delicious, and with a drink included at this price, it's no wonder there's a line. I finished my juice and asked for an additional coffee. I chose an Americano for 650 yen since it was a choice between Americano and Espresso. When I finished eating and went outside, I saw many people lined up and sitting down. It was worth waking up early. The garden was well-maintained, with the old Kobayashi family house from 1807 relocated and managed since 1979. It used to be the village headman's house. It was a stylish brunch in a historic Kyoto house, and I would love to visit again.

Around 11 o'clock, I visited and the restaurant was almost full. Since it was a weekday, I was seated on the veranda without any waiting time. I ordered the "Ume Panini Set" for 1600 yen. You can choose from 4 types of paninis and it comes with a side dish, salad, and a drink. I chose the seasonal panini (beef kalbi with combined broth on ciabatta) and an iced cafe latte. The portion was generous and the bread was delicious. The meat had a slight charcoal aroma, which was good. The pleasant weather and the comfort of the veranda made for a relaxing and wonderful lunchtime. Thank you for the meal!

Morning 98th ♡ Sightseeing in Arashiyama during Golden Week (*◕ᴗ◕*)♡ I had decided to have breakfast here♡♡ The cafe opens at 8 am, but we arrived at 8:40 am. At that point, we were 53rd in line (@_@) The cafe is a renovated cultural property designated by Kyoto Prefecture 200 years ago♡♡ It looked lovely, so we decided to wait. Next to it is the World Cultural Heritage Site Tenryu-ji Temple and the Arashiyama Monkey Park, so it was a good time to visit those and come back. By the time we returned, it was close to noon. The staff said, "I'm sorry. I didn't expect it to be this crowded." ・Bamboo Plate Set 2,200 yen It was a bit pricey for breakfast (@_@) I was considering getting the pine set, but I went with this one. It included 5 types of bread, mango jam, strawberry jam, prosciutto, mortadella ham, camembert cheese, mini salad, cake salé, seasonal side dish, and cheesecake. I chose an iced cafe latte for my drink. I ordered using the app. The 5 types of bread were warm and fluffy (´>∀<`)♡ Even without the jam, they were delicious on their own. The mango jam and strawberry jam were tasty on their own, so I enjoyed them both ways♡♡ The strawberry jam had solid pieces in it. The spinach-like bread and chocolate chip were delicious♡ Camembert cheese paired well with the tasty bread♡♡ The cheesecake was rich and delicious( ♥︎ᴗ♥︎ )♡♡ There were various sweets posted on Instagram, but they were not on the menu, maybe due to the time of day (●´Д`●) There is a bakery in the garden area where you can also purchase bread (๑•ᴗ•๑)♡

The other day, I planned to have lunch at a cafe and arrived around noon, but due to the Golden Week, there were 90 people ahead of me in line, so they told me they were no longer accepting dine-in customers for the day. I ended up getting takeout instead. It's truly a popular spot! I tried the Kyoto vegetable curry bread (¥300), which had a chewy bread filled with a spicy curry paste made with Man'yōshū peppers. It had a nice kick to it and was delicious. I also had a 100% juice (grapefruit) for ¥350, which had a refreshing sourness to it. It was a perfect combination with the curry bread. Although I couldn't dine in at the cafe, they had chairs outside the bread shop where I could sit and enjoy the pleasant breeze while having a great lunch. I'll definitely try to visit the cafe next time!

I waited in line for an hour starting at 8:40 am to get a plate set, but they only had red bean butter toast left. I actually wanted to try the matcha French toast, but it's only available starting at 2 pm, so I should have checked beforehand. I ended up sharing a table with some European and American tourists. The red bean butter toast, salad, ham, cheese, and yogurt were all delicious, making it a great breakfast! Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 11:00 on Sunday and had to wait for about 30-40 minutes before being seated. The restaurant is a large Japanese-style building with a very stylish interior focused on tatami seating. The bread assortment set comes with various jams and toppings that go well with the bread, making it an enjoyable dish. It can get quite crowded, but if you get a numbered ticket, sightseeing can be done while waiting. I recommend it to those who want to have a stylish meal. There is a bakery next door for takeout, so if you're short on time, be sure to check that out.

I wanted to have matcha French toast again, so I went for a rematch! Matcha French toast is only available from 2pm. It's a ticket system, so even though I got my ticket around 1pm, I was already called when it was almost time. I told the staff, and they called me after a short wait. I ordered matcha French toast with vanilla ice cream on top. I also got a hojicha drink set. Vanilla ice cream is a must. The matcha flavor was rich and delicious. They have other dessert options that I would like to try again.

Visited for a tea time while strolling around Arashiyama. Since it was a weekday, I didn't have to wait in line much. The atmosphere is very nice and calming. I ordered the matcha French toast, matcha tiramisu, and an Americano. The French toast has a nice balance with the subtle sweetness of the matcha. Adding syrup enhances the dessert taste. I bet it would be even more delicious with some ice cream on top. The tiramisu also uses toast as a base and it's delicious. It's understandable why it's a limited item. Had a relaxing time sipping on my coffee, and the other customers were also chilling out, making it a pleasant experience. During the wait, I bought a matcha red bean bun from the bakery next door. It was delicious too. The sweet bread with not-too-sweet matcha red bean paste is a great combination. Definitely going back for more.

Matcha tiramisu (drink set) for 1300 yen. I thought it looked like a chain store and was just popular for Instagram, but the taste was actually really good! The cherry blossom macchiato had a true cherry blossom flavor that was impressive. If you're going to Arashiyama for sightseeing, it's worth waiting in line to go there at least once!
