Today, I visited Upit's Burger in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The restaurant is located right between JR Saga Arashiyama Station and Keifuku Arashiyama Main Line Arashiyama Station, within walking distance from both. I decided to try their Lava de Cheeseburger Plate, which is a burger with plenty of cheese and a fiery presentation. Despite being just a few minutes after opening, there were already a few groups of customers. I chose the Lava de Cheeseburger Plate for 1880 yen, which is a burger with a large amount of cheese overflowing like lava, topped with lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado, double beef patty, and two types of cheese. The finishing touches were done in front of me on a hot plate, where the cheese was melted and the burger was set on fire. The amount of cheese was impressive, and the double beef patty added to the hearty flavor. It was a filling and delicious meal.

Today's lunch was a hamburger. I had eaten a bit too much in the morning, so I was thinking of having soba for lunch, but I couldn't find it from Saga Arashiyama to Daikakuji. So, I ended up choosing this restaurant along the way. It was hot and I wasn't too keen on waiting, as I had read in reviews, but when I asked if it was okay to wait, the response was "Sure, you can wait." Well, if they don't mind, then it's fine. We were kept waiting for quite a while. Other than us, almost everyone there was a foreigner. Westerners, Asians, truly Kyoto. Well, are burger joints considered soul food? Do they cater well to all tastes? In urban burger joints, it's quite common for them to suit Westerners. However, today, I was also treated a bit awkwardly by the staff, trying to act like a foreigner. When I said it was okay to speak Japanese, the staff seemed quite embarrassed, but cute. Nevertheless, waiting is fine, but it's hot, I'd prefer to wait in a cooler place... They recommended some specialty menu items, but we are an elderly couple. My wife ordered the Cheese Burger for 1,080 yen, and I ordered the Double Cheese Burger for 1,580 yen. Well, we are elderly, should we not eat this? ( ̄▽ ̄;) I thought it was quite cheap. My mind has aged quite a bit. But well, a Double Cheese Burger from a famous restaurant costs around 2,000 yen. Of course, quality matters, but still. While waiting, I saw the original Lava Burger performance at this restaurant. Pouring cheese and setting it on fire. The presentation was quite impressive. Well, not suitable for the elderly, it's embarrassing. I'm glad we didn't order it. Eventually, our burgers arrived. The buns were soft but a bit tough to bite into, a type of bun that is quite common in other restaurants as well. The presentation was really good. The patties were small and firm, making it a bit difficult to eat the Double Burger. But I personally enjoyed it, it matched well with the cheese. It also had tomato, avocado, adding a nice acidity and creaminess. The plate, fries, and cheese were freshly fried and delicious. For the elderly, life may not be long, but don't worry about small things when it comes to food! It was a slightly fun restaurant. Thank you very much.

Near Saga-Arashiyama Station in the Arashiyama area, there is a burger restaurant known for its signature Lava Cheeseburger. It is generously topped with a lot of cheese, making it look incredibly delicious. What's more, they bring the burger to your table and perform a fiery show by lighting it with alcohol, which is quite impressive! Not only does it look great, but it also tastes delicious. I'm worried about the calorie intake, but I definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

Located in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Apitz Burger is a cheeseburger specialty shop. They offer a Lava Cheeseburger that cheese lovers will adore, made with two types of cheese. They pour the cheese in a photogenic way, and even add flames right in front of you, creating an exciting experience. Served on a hot iron plate, the burger remains piping hot. It's quite rich and creamy, so sharing is recommended. Cheese lovers will definitely enjoy this place. The shop is conveniently located right near JR Saga Arashiyama Station.

I casually entered a hamburger shop. The meat was juicy and went well with the bun, and the bacon was crispy, making it very delicious. It cost 500 yen with all-you-can-drink drinks, and on the way out, you can add whatever drink you want yourself. Takeout is also possible, which is a great service. It's nice to have this kind of service, haha.

As expected from its appearance. It's Instagrammable, with about 80% of the customers being young girls. You can choose various toppings and there is some additional charge for certain options. It was around 1500 yen. You can adjust the amount of cheese from none to double. The taste was delicious, but it was exactly as I expected.

I visited around 11 am, just after the opening on a regular day! Since it was early, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I tried the Lava Cheeseburger Plate for 1680 yen. You can have plenty of cheese poured right in front of you♪ The sizzling sound of two types of cheese and the griddle cooking will stimulate your appetite (*´꒳`*) And to finish, they light it up and it's ready! You can't help but be overwhelmed by the impact of the appearance. The hamburger was juicy and delicious (*´-`) The plate with the hamburger is made of lava! It's quite a portion for women☆ When we left the restaurant, there were about 5 groups waiting, so early hours on weekdays are recommended!

I had been curious about Appitz Burger for a while, as there is always a line outside. Located in front of JR Arashiyama Station, the street is a bit quieter than the surrounding Arashiyama area, making the line stand out even more! The interior of the restaurant is small, which may contribute to the line, but once inside, the staff are all working hard and the atmosphere is lively. I waited in line for about 30 minutes on a Saturday before finally being seated. While waiting, I was given a menu to look through and was able to place my order once seated. The famous Lava Burger caught my eye, so I ordered that. The real lava is used on the hot plate, creating a sizzling sound and enticing aroma as the cheese melts. You can choose between thinly sliced or skin-on fries. I decided to go all out and have the cheese poured on top. The moment the two original cheeses spread out on the hot plate is truly impressive and a must-see for cheese lovers. The collaboration of burger and cheese is a sinful delight, and the sizzling sound and aroma of the cheese made the burger in front of me irresistible. When the burger arrived at my table, the staff lit it on fire for about 10 seconds! It was a fun moment to witness the collaboration of entertainment and burger. The hot cheese made me hesitate to eat immediately, so I enjoyed the fries with cheese first. Delicious! After a bit of a burn from the heat, I finally dug into the burger, savoring each ingredient. The slightly burnt part of the bun from the hot plate was my personal favorite, adding a crispy texture. If you have time to spare in Arashiyama or want to experience unique and indulgent entertainment, I highly recommend Appitz Burger.

Kyoto Arashiyama / Upit's Burger Budget: Up to 2,000 yen I visited this place because I saw it on SNS during my business trip nearby! The cheese on the cheeseburger was not just sprinkled on top, but they first put a generous amount of white cheese and then topped it with orange cheese! (I forgot the details even though the staff explained it to me thoroughly) I was a bit worried about what it would taste like, but when I tried it, I was surprised! It was so delicious that I couldn't help but admire the effort put into making it! The staff also kindly allowed me to take photos and videos, making the atmosphere very pleasant. Be sure to visit when sightseeing in Arashiyama. ----------------- Upit's Burger 4-7 Sagatenryuji Sharamichicho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture 616-8385 1-minute walk from Arashiyama Station on the Randen Saga Line

I happened to have the opportunity to go to Kyoto, so I looked up on Instagram and found a delicious-looking hamburger, so I went to try it! It's only about a 2-minute walk from JR San'in Main Line "Saga Arashiyama Station," so it's recommended for a meal during Arashiyama sightseeing! I parked my car near Togetsukyo Bridge and walked a little to the restaurant. I tried the Lava Cheeseburger Plate with a dramatic flame effect! It's quite a generous portion for one person! It's also possible to share, so it's good for those with a small appetite! They pour the cheese in front of you, and there are flame effects, so you can enjoy it with your eyes, nose, and ears!

The casual atmosphere inside the restaurant was inviting, with a mouth-watering aroma wafting outside. Although a bit pricey, the portions were generous and satisfying. The flaming burger was a highlight, and they even advised on the perfect timing to sprinkle cheese for a great Instagram video. The hamburger patty was thick and delicious. However, towards the end, the cheese hardened and made my stomach feel heavy, so I recommend eating the cheese while it's still gooey.

I visited during the lunchtime of a consecutive holiday. As it is a popular restaurant, there was a line stretching all the way to the entrance along the kitchen counter inside the restaurant, and I had to wait for a little over an hour until I could sit on the waiting chairs in the back. The staff were all very friendly, maintaining a smile and providing calm and polite service even when they were busy. They explained the menu and dishes very carefully. When I ordered the famous Lava Cheese Burger, they asked if I wanted to take a photo of the cheese being poured at the kitchen, and after it was brought to the table, they performed a flame show using alcohol and a turbo lighter, making it not only photogenic but also entertaining as a food entertainment. They specialize in presentation and are sure to be Instagram-worthy. My cheese-loving companion ordered the "Lava de Cheese Burger Plate," while I ordered the "Appetite Cheese Burger Plate," where you can create your own original burger using an order sheet (you can choose the amount of three types of cheese, and there are a variety of free toppings, and you can even name your original burger). We shared the plate of potatoes, which you can choose between thin-cut and half-moon cut, and compared the tastes. The long-awaited hamburger was really delicious with authentic buns and patties! The selected toppings such as avocado and grilled pineapple were generously sandwiched, so it seemed like a very reasonable price. (I couldn't find any disappointing points, even including the side potatoes and watercress) However, if asked whether I would wait for over an hour to eat it again, I would probably say no... It is delicious and the service is good, but the restaurant layout has some difficulties. The first floor has a kitchen counter with a cash register and waiting chairs, and when you go up the stairs to the second floor, there are customer seats. Roughly, there are 2 tables for 4 people and 4 tables for 2 people (operational), and a wooden high counter with 4 chairs seems cramped for eating the burger plate. The limited number of seats, and the fact that there are no staff stationed on the second floor, may be one of the reasons for poor turnover during peak times. For tourists visiting on holidays, this restaurant may have a high hurdle due to the time it takes.

A famous burger restaurant in Arashiyama, located a 5-minute walk from Saga-Arashiyama Station. It is often posted on Instagram and always crowded with customers. I visited on a Sunday around 12 o'clock, and even on this day, there was a long line at the shop. I waited for about an hour until I was guided to the second-floor dining area. I ordered the recommended Lava Cheeseburger Plate for 1680 yen (with watercress, tomato, bacon, avocado, lots of cheese, 100% beef mince x2). They also let you take a picture when they pour two types of large amounts of cheese on it. The cheese-covered rich cheeseburger is full of volume! It is recommended for those who like rich flavors. Bolognese Cheeseburger Plate for 980 yen (with watercress, tomato, Bolognese, Cheddar cheese, 100% beef mince). This is a hamburger with Bolognese sauce, allowing you to enjoy the umami of tomatoes! If you want to eat a delicious and photogenic hamburger, be sure to visit! Thank you for the meal.

I finally got to try the hamburger that I've been curious about for a while ☻♬ When I arrived, there was only one group of customers, so it was comfortable inside ♬ I received an explanation on the first floor and then placed my order, and waited on the second floor until it was ready ☻♬ ▪️ Lava Cheeseburger Plate. I watched the performance of putting cheese on the burger on the first floor, and then there was a presentation of lighting alcohol on fire at the table on the second floor ☻♬ The iron plate supposedly stays hot for a long time, and indeed, it was quite hot until the end. However, the cheese on top of the burger was put on at room temperature and stayed cold from the beginning ⤵︎ It looks small at first glance, but when I tried it, it was quite filling ☻♬ It had two patties and was very meaty ◎ It also had avocado and tomato, which balanced out the greasiness and was delicious ◎ When I was leaving, there was a line forming, showing its popularity ♬ There aren't many hamburger places in Arashiyama, and with the added presentation and deliciousness, it's understandable why it's so popular ☻♬ I would like to eat it again when I'm in the mood for something junky ◎

The Apitz Burger Lava Cheeseburger Plate for 1680 yen was amazing. The entrance had videos and photos being taken, making it look really good. I thought it might take a while to order due to the busy atmosphere, but the staff were attentive and efficient. The burger on a lava stone with cheese on top was delicious and impressive. It was a bit messy to eat, but totally worth it.笑笑

Located in Kiyamachi-Gojo, Craft Dining Upit's sister restaurant offers a variety of cheeseburgers, including the popular "Appetizer Cheeseburger" where you can choose the type and amount of cheese as well as toppings. One of the standout items is the "Lava Cheeseburger Plate" priced at 1680 yen, featuring two 100% beef patties stacked with avocado, tomato, and other toppings, covered in a massive amount of cheese resembling lava. The cheese is melted and poured generously over the burger, creating a visually striking dish. Just before serving, the burger is engulfed in flames for a dramatic finish. With two patties totaling 250g, this burger offers a satisfying meal. My friend who ordered this was captivated by the charm of cheese in the vibrant space adorned with wall paintings.

Before going to Togetsukyo Bridge, we had lunch. We arrived around noon and there was already a line. After waiting for about an hour, we were finally seated and ordered the famous Lava Cheeseburger that is often featured on Instagram. We were allowed to take a picture of the staff pouring a large amount of cheese on the burger at the counter. The burger was huge and incredibly delicious with a lot of meat. I now understand why it is called photogenic. The Cheeseburger Plate can be customized with the amount of cheese and toppings, allowing you to enjoy it according to your taste. The staff were friendly and made the experience even better.

Today, on my way back from an outing, I stopped by Arashiyama in Sagano and decided to check out a hamburger shop that I had visited before. ■ upit'sBurger (Apitz Burger) This is the second branch of the popular hamburger shop "Craft Dining upit" in Kyoto. This shop specializes in cheeseburgers, and their menu is known for being Instagram-worthy. The first floor is the cooking area, and the second floor is for customers. You sit at the chairs in the back of the first floor to place your order. Since I had only gotten takeout on my previous visit, this time I decided to dine in for the first time. Their specialty is the "Apitz Cheeseburger Plate" where you can create your own original burger by choosing your favorite toppings. They also have the "Lava Cheeseburger Plate" where they finish the burger in front of you with flames. This time, I decided to have them make me an original burger. The basic burger consists of buns, 100% beef patty, and watercress. First, you choose the amount of cheese: Natural cheese, Cheddar cheese, Gorgonzola cheese, with options ranging from "none" to "a lot." Then, you can choose from a variety of toppings to customize your burger: Red onion, Mushroom, Fried onion, Pickles, Grilled pine, Shiso leaf, Avocado, Crispy bacon, Tomato, Jalapeno, with a total of 10 options. Since I visited just before Christmas, I asked for a recommendation for a "Christmas-like topping," and the staff kindly accommodated my request. I also ordered a drink to go with my meal. After placing my order, I waited on the second floor for my burger to be ready. The walls on the second floor were decorated with pop-style illustrations, giving the place a lively atmosphere. They were playing cheerful music, adding to the fun ambiance. There was a water server where you could freely serve yourself water. I also ordered a bottle of cola, which came with a glass filled with plenty of ice. I borrowed a Christmas tree and took a photo with it. When I tilted the cola bottle, the amount of ice was just right for the glass. While sipping on my cola, I waited for about 10 minutes until my burger plate arrived. The "Apitz Cheeseburger Plate" came on a large wooden plate with a cheeseburger, fries, and salad. I chose the cheese amount as "a lot," so the cheese was overflowing from the buns. The ketchup for the fries was in a heart-shaped container, a cute touch. The main target customers of this restaurant seem to be young women, as indicated by the presentation. The towering cheeseburger had a Christmas tree-like appearance. The staff's choice of toppings included red onion, avocado, pickles, grilled pine, tomato, shiso leaf, and bacon, all in Christmas colors. I dug into the burger and found the thick beef patty to be very juicy and flavorful. The combination of cheese and toppings created a burst of flavors in my mouth. The grilled sweet pineapple was also delicious. I chose the thin-cut fries, which were also quite filling. I was worried if I could finish it all, but I managed to clean my plate. The satisfaction in my stomach was beyond words! This burger shop offers good value for money and a fun dining experience. I look forward to trying their other specialty, the "Lava Cheeseburger Plate," on my next visit!

My cheese-loving daughter wanted to try the Lava Cheeseburger here, so we stopped by during our sightseeing in Kyoto. I opted for a simple hamburger instead, as the Lava Cheeseburger seemed a bit too much for me. The portion was generous, not too heavy, and the sliced cheese on the side was also very delicious. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal.

This is a burger restaurant located near JR Arashiyama Station. I once tried to visit this place but gave up when I saw a long line extending outside the store. This time, I decided to challenge it again and luckily there was only one group waiting. The staff explained the menu and handed it to me at the waiting area next to the open kitchen counter. I placed my order before being escorted to the second-floor dining area. I ordered the Lava Cheeseburger Plate for 1680 yen with an additional 300 yen for iced coffee, and the Macaroni Cheeseburger for 1400 yen with an extra 300 yen for orange juice. The drink arrived at the table before I sat down, and the water was self-service. The Lava Cheeseburger Plate was a spectacle as the cheese was generously poured on it at the counter. The sizzling sound of the hot plate was appetizing, and then they lit the cheese on fire at the table! It was truly a showstopper, and the taste was delicious too. The double patty, generous avocado, and overflowing cheese made the price worth it. The hot plate kept everything warm, which was a nice touch. The rich iced coffee was also a great addition. This popular restaurant can have long waits on weekends, so weekdays are recommended for a more relaxed dining experience.

Hello! Kyoto Cheese-covered Upit's Burger ▶︎ Lava Cheeseburger Plate Contents → Mizuna, Tomato, Bacon, Avocado, 140g of 100% Beef Patty x 2 ✨ Two types of cheese are melted on top, finished with alcohol flambe, looks heavy but tastes incredibly delicious and was completely finished ❤️ The moment you cut the hamburger, the meat juice is amazing!! Also, the cheese-covered potatoes were delicious. I also liked the bottled cola here, which is my favorite ❤️. When they put the cheese on, they call you to the kitchen, which is kind. Thank you for the meal ❤ Lava Cheeseburger Plate ¥1,480.
