In Sapporo City, Chuo Ward, there is TSUKEMEN ICHI in Susukino. The location is across from Daruma on Shinjuku Street. It may be a bit hard to find if you don't know it. The interior of the restaurant is chic and stylish with a black theme. The atmosphere is nice, but it's a standing style restaurant. I ordered the Susukino Tsukemen and the raw parent and child rice bowl. They seem to be conscious of the finishing touch, so the portion is moderate. It's light and refreshing, easy to eat. The culture of finishing with tsukemen was not there, but it might be a good idea. However, I felt that the saltiness was slightly stronger than the broth. Maybe because it's tsukemen. The ingredients are quite simple, so I felt that a bit more depth would be nice. I'm not sure if they offer soup refills. The raw parent and child rice bowl had a good balance and was delicious. It was just right. The name caught my interest, and I think it's quite fitting. How do you feel about paying 1,000 yen for a tsukemen with almost no toppings? It's a standing restaurant, after all. The staff, who are young men, seemed to be chatting with what looked like regular female customers, giving off a youthful vibe. It may depend on your age group how you perceive this. Thank you for the meal. It seems that the specialty here is the tsukemen noodles. Before coming here, I had sushi and left very little room in my stomach, but I couldn't resist the tsukemen noodles, so I decided to try them. I noticed that it's a standing-only place, but that's fine since I don't plan on staying long. The customer who came in before me seems to know the staff quite well, as they were chatting very casually. Personally, I prefer to be treated professionally even if we're friends, especially in a restaurant. When it was my turn to order, the staff seemed a bit careless, almost like talking to a fellow student. I ordered the special tsukemen for ¥1500. When I tried the noodles with salt first, there wasn't much flavor. And when I dipped them in the broth, everything tasted a bit bland. Maybe this is the charm of tsukemen noodles? I think the high price is mainly for the location in Susukino at night. It seems like this place is not really for older customers like me. Now I'm craving the tsukemen from Takahashi, Shokuraku, or Nofuji.

Susukino late-night drinking spot where you can also enjoy standing ramen. Is it good for a casual drink and finish off with some ramen? I ordered the special finishing tsukemen for 1,500 yen, which comes with seasoned egg and chashu. The soup was salty but lacked depth, not really to my liking. Hmm, maybe worth a visit once.

I ordered the special dipping noodles (1,500 yen) with an extra serving of noodles (+200 yen) for a total of 1,700 yen. This ramen shop, run by active university students, only serves dipping noodles at its second location. I was advised to mix the egg yolk and sprinkle rock salt on the noodles before eating, and it was delicious. I was about to finish the noodles without using the soup, but then I tried the soup - a rich and flavorful seafood-based broth. It was so good! When I was about to finish the noodles, I ordered an extra serving of noodles. They offered both cold and hot noodles, so I asked for the hot one. The extra serving of noodles already had flavor, so I ate it as it was, and it was delicious! Despite the high cost, the taste was undeniable. It was a tasty experience. Thank you for the meal.

TSUKEMEN ICHI Limited Menu from 07/01 to 07/10!! "Namara Char Siu Tsukemen" for 1,500 yen and "Namara Char Siu Don" for 600 yen. This is a special collaboration with TSUKEMEN ICHI for followers on Instagram. The pink-themed char siu tsukemen is a must-try with its beautifully arranged pink char siu slices. The restaurant, which opened on 05/26/2023, is the second branch of RAMEN ICHI located across from the Daruma Honten Genghis Khan restaurant. The pink char siu, available in quantities from 1 to 16 slices, is tender and flavorful. The noodles are made with whole wheat flour and are delicious when dipped in the seafood-based sauce. The char siu don is also a tasty option with the broth poured over it. Overall, the collaboration with Namara Gourmet and TSUKEMEN ICHI was a delightful experience. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I saw on Instagram that this place had just opened, and since I had been to their sister restaurant RAMEN ICHI before, I was curious to visit. I went around 8:30 PM on a Saturday and there were still seats available. Just like their sister restaurant, there was a young male staff member running the place on his own. We opted for the special Shime-tsukemen (1500 yen) and the limited Faffy egg tsukemen (1200 yen) today. The tsukemen was recommended to be first eaten with just rock salt, and the taste of the wheat noodles was really delicious! The dipping sauce was light, with a good flavor of ginger and bonito dashi. The chashu was also delicious! The soup wari was unexpectedly hojicha, giving it a fragrant taste. As for the Faffy egg, the yolk was rich and the noodles paired perfectly with it. I forgot to take a picture, but it was really good. Eggs are considered a luxury these days, but I hope they make it a regular item on the menu. Personally, I prefer a richer dipping sauce, but the light flavor of this place was perfect for finishing off the meal, and I was able to finish it all easily. Thank you for the meal!

[Recommended Restaurant★] I visited a ramen shop located about a 3-minute walk from Susukino Station on the subway Namboku Line for the first time. RAMEN ICHI, run by an active university student, has a second brand that specializes in tsukemen. I started with the grand menu item Susukino Tsukemen for 1,000 yen (tax included) and the visually appealing Nama Oyakodon for 500 yen (tax included). The Susukino Tsukemen, labeled as the finishing touch, is a light soy sauce-based dipping ramen that smoothly and gently permeates. The Nama Oyakodon, when mixed with the yolk, becomes delightfully creamy and can also serve as a side dish. It seems like you could drink with the Nama Oyakodon and finish with the tsukemen. Looking forward to the next visit. [A la carte] 1. Susukino Tsukemen for 1,000 yen (tax included) 2. Nama Oyakodon for 500 yen (tax included) [Budget (approximate): 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen]

"May 26, 2023" OPEN... I visited two days later, lined up at 3:00 pm to sign in, and revisited at opening time. I climbed the narrow stairs and entered the dimly lit interior with black-themed standing-style eating. There were 8 customers ahead of me, with two male staff members. The menu was limited at opening, offering two types of tsukemen, raw oyakodon, and various drinks. I ordered the Susukino Tsukemen for 1,000 yen, Special Tsukemen for 1,500 yen, and two Highballs for 600 yen each. The Highball was refreshing with a good balance of flavors. It took 12 minutes until the tsukemen arrived. The Susukino Tsukemen was simple with noodles, a sheet of seaweed, and chopped green onions. The noodles were firm, cold, and had a smooth and chewy texture. The light fish broth had a slight saltiness that complemented the dish. The Special Tsukemen included egg, chashu, and extra seaweed. The chashu was tender and juicy, with a rare and slightly pinkish center. I enjoyed the meal with condiments like sansho pepper and chili powder. Overall, it was a light and satisfying meal, but whether it was worth the 1,000 yen for a bowl of tsukemen with mostly toppings is debatable. Thank you for the meal."

I was prepared for a line like the first store this time as well (^_^;) When I checked the business hours, etc. on Instagram, it turned out to be a reservation system where you write down your desired time and visit at that time. This is a good method in my opinion. You don't have to wait in line unnecessarily, and if it's available, you can enter right away. It doesn't inconvenience the neighborhood, and you don't have to wait in bad weather. I hope that future new stores will follow this system (*^^*) The interior of the store has 5 stand-up counter seats and 8 stand-up table seats. Previously, the patissier Asami-chan used to make parfaits here (*^^*) Now, I ordered the Special Tsukemen for 1,500 yen and the limited edition One-person Oyakodon for 500 yen. The difference between the Special Tsukemen and the Susukino Tsukemen for 1,000 yen is simply the amount of seaweed, chashu, and eggs. So, the regular Tsukemen seems good enough. The amount of noodles is a bit on the lighter side, perhaps for drunk people? But drunk people might have trouble with these stairs, worse than the stairs at Nekoyashiki (^_^;) The dipping sauce is the chicken salt sauce, which I thought would be light, but it's actually quite rich and delicious (*^^*) Even miso lovers like Totoron would find it tasty. Especially the grilled chicken chashu is very fragrant and delicious \(^o^)/ Another interesting dish I hadn't heard of before is the Oyakodon! It consists of pieces of chicken chashu sprinkled on a small bowl of rice, with an egg yolk placed in the center (*´艸`*) You mix and eat it after breaking the yolk. It's quite good (*^^*) And finally, you pour the leftover dipping sauce and finish it like a tea-soaked rice dish (*´艸`*) It turned out more like a tea-soaked rice dish than a Tsukemen, haha. Even without the Oyakodon, just rice as a tea-soaked rice dish is also good. I think it's also nice to just get the soup on the side, dilute it, and finish with it (*´艸`*) It was delicious! Just be careful with the stairs~♪

Tsukemen is worth 1000 yen, even if it's not the best visually. You can enjoy delicious tsukemen late at night. Personally, I don't mind paying 1500 to 3000 yen for ramen if it is made with beautiful and high-quality ingredients. I don't like limiting ramen to under 1000 yen. I would like to try a 3000 yen ramen. It would be great to have more rice dishes on the menu since one bowl of tsukemen is not enough. I will try ordering two limited edition tsukemen next time, as one is not sufficient. However, I can't get used to eating while standing.

I did not feel enough added value to make me want to eat high-end tsukemen again.

Last month, RAMEN ICHI's sister restaurant TSUKEMEN ICHI opened with a dipping soup made from hojicha tea.
At Susukino, the finishing ramen was delicious. However, I saw them throwing away a dish that was ordered incorrectly, which was a bit off-putting since it was visible from the standing counter.
