Nevertheless, the service during ordering and leaving was polite and pleasant. The menu items were meticulously crafted and tasted much better than expected from the appearance of the shop. The popular item was the "Matcha Ink" served in a bottle resembling an ink bottle. I chose the Matcha Tiramisu, which was surprisingly delicious with a vibrant color and a balanced matcha flavor. It blended well with the smooth cheese, and my husband, who usually doesn't like matcha sweets, also enjoyed it. The container was reusable, and when I mentioned taking it home, they washed it and brought it back to me neatly. Additionally, the vinyl bag for carrying the bottle was cute. I also tried the Matcha Coffee with half sugar, which had coffee jelly in it. The drink was served in a square bottle for takeout, but I chose a regular cup for convenience. You could choose the sweetness level and between cow's milk or soy milk. The drink had a fluffy milk base with matcha and crushed coffee jelly at the bottom. Mixing it together created a delicious blend of creamy milk, fragrant matcha, and a hint of bitterness from the coffee jelly. It was a delightful drink, showcasing the unique flavor of authentic matcha. If I visit Uji again, I would like to try other menu items at this shop. Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't very crowded, but it seemed like there was only one staff member working. I had to wait a little bit. I ordered a Matcha Cremia to go. It had a slightly strong milk base with matcha powder sprinkled on top. The cone was actually a langues de chat cookie. It was really good.

When taking a stroll from Uji Station, you will come across several shops serving matcha soft serve. As I walked past the crowded shops, I noticed a sign for Crema. There were no customers inside, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a plain milk Crema and a mix of matcha and hojicha. I wanted to order sencha or gyokuro tea as well, but was told that the person who could make them was currently unavailable. It was a shame that I couldn't enjoy tea in Uji. Therefore, I deducted points for service, and did not rate the drinks. The Crema was delicious.
