On a regular weekday afternoon, I visited the restaurant with a child who didn't bring a lunch for the opening ceremony. I ordered the sake kasu ramen with fried gyoza set, the child ordered chicken ramen with grilled gyoza set, and another person ordered fried rice. The sake kasu ramen was a delightful taste for those who like kasujiru, and the sake kasu was also good. They continued to offer a free half serving of extra noodles during weekday lunch hours. The child gave a great review, enjoying the noodles, soup, chashu, and gyoza, and even said they wanted to go back again. Since we didn't drink during lunch, the sake and drinks are not included in the evaluation.

The nearest station is Keihan Fushimi-Momoyama Station, located within Fushimi Sake Brewery District is "Ramen Monosen Fushimi Sake Brewery Store".
Fushimi Sake Brewery District offers over 120 brands of Fushimi sake and consists of local sake and food where you can enjoy sake, as well as 8 specialty shops with a variety of delicious food.
"Monosen" is one of them. They use carefully selected sake lees from several sake breweries in Fushimi, and there are 8 types of sake lees to choose from based on the brewery. Sake lees ramen is a popular, rich ramen made with sake lees from Kyoto Fushimi's famous sake and sake lees. This time, I chose Tsukinokatsura from Masuda Tokubei Shoten. Tsukinokatsura's sake lees ramen has a strong sake lees flavor and a rich taste. The thin noodles blend well with the soup, creating a well-balanced flavor.

Ramen shop where you can enjoy the aroma of premium sake visited on 26th July 2023. Overall rating: 5 out of 5. Taste: ★★★★, Presentation: ★★★★, Cost performance: ★★★★, Customer service: ★★★, Environment: ★★★★. I ordered the Premium Sake Eikun's Sake Kasu Ramen (950 yen). It was my first time trying it, so I chose the gentle sake kasu as it was described not too strong, and it was rich in aroma and delicious. Next time, I want to try the rich type. Thank you for the meal.

I was considering whether to consume garlic and chives, but I noticed a signboard for Fushimi Sake Brewery Alley near Oushou. Each store is promoting their special lunch menu deals. The restaurant Kadoogi is offering Sake Kasu Cold Noodles. As I wasn't feeling very hungry due to the heat, I decided to take a look around Fushimi Sake Brewery Alley. The entrance to Fushimi Sake Brewery Alley is located south down the T-junction across from Edion. I explored the Fushimi Sake Brewery Alley food stalls, but ultimately decided to go with Kadoogi and ordered the Sake Kasu Cold Noodles. As of July 2023 (tax included), the Sake Kasu Cold Noodles cost 950 yen, and an extra serving of noodles (half portion: free during weekday lunch hours) costs 0 yen. The cold Sake Kasu soup has a thickness similar to Tenka Kotteri. The scent of Sake Kasu is not very strong due to the cold temperature. It seems to be based on chicken white broth, creamy with the dominant flavor of Sake Kasu, and refreshing. It is not heavy and increases your appetite during hot weather. The noodles are semi-straight thin noodles with a soft texture but firm elasticity. They mix well with the soup, spreading the delicious flavor. The ingredients include green onions, cabbage, julienned carrots and radishes, shredded red pepper, and thinly sliced grilled chicken. It uses chicken instead of pork. The ingredients are light and go well with the cold noodles. I felt like having an extra serving of noodles, and after some thought, I ordered a half portion. During weekday lunch hours, you can get one free extra serving of noodles (half portion). If you want a full portion, it costs 100 yen. In July 2023 (tax included), this cold noodle dish is of high quality. I enjoyed the Sake Kasu Cold Noodles.

The sesame flavor in the tantan was strong, and the spiciness was quite intense. The noodles were not firm enough, so the cold aspect couldn't be fully enjoyed.

[Sake Kasu Cold Noodles]
[Noodles] Thin straight noodles
[Toppings] Chicken char siu (2 slices), julienned daikon and carrots, chopped green onions, napa cabbage, shredded red chili peppers
[Sauce] Sake kasu
[Time to Serve] 5 minutes
The sake kasu flavor was prominent, but the broth was lacking. The noodles, like the tantan, were not firm enough. The char siu was too strong in flavor for my liking. It felt like the cold noodles were made hastily.

Fushimi sake tasting ramen restaurant. The menu includes sake lees ramen with a choice of different types of sake lees. I usually don't like dishes with sake lees, but this ramen had a nice sake flavor and the taste of the ramen itself was delicious.

I visited the restaurant for lunch with my junior colleague. Inside the restaurant, there were several stalls, and at first I thought it was an izakaya, but on the left side, there was a ramen shop with a stall inside the restaurant. Usually, I order the standard menu when visiting for the first time, but this time I ordered one of their popular menu items, the Sake Tori Ramen. It had a soup made with sake lees, with shredded daikon and chicken meat in it, and it was slightly light and delicious. You can get a free extra serving, so I ordered it, but when I added the extra serving, the flavor felt quite diluted, so I thought it might be better to go for a stronger sake lees ramen. However, it was surprisingly delicious, so I would like to visit again with someone else!

January 2, 2023. Many shops are still closed. Walking down the main arcade street, I saw a standing signboard for "Monosen." When there is no signboard, it means the shop is closed. Monosen is located in Fukumizu Sake Brewery Alley, a small village of food stalls. It is closer to the entrance on the side of the Noya-machi Arcade from the West Otemichi bus stop. Although the popular Sake Kasu Ramen at Genya has closed, Monosen is still going strong. Due to the pandemic, it has been a while since my last visit. I ordered the Sake Kasu Ramen at Monosen, priced at 950 yen including tax. It is a chicken white broth with a blend of sake kasu, giving the soup a unique aroma and sweetness. The noodles are semi-straight and thin, with a soft texture but still retaining some firmness. The toppings include green onions, cabbage, shredded carrots and radishes, and thread-like chili peppers, which add a nice kick. The portion size is a bit small, so you might want to consider getting an extra serving of noodles. The free noodle refill during weekday lunch hours is a good deal. Today, I opted for a lighter meal.

Around 2:00 pm, I visited "Ramen Monosen Fushimi Sake Kura Store" with a friend. It is located in Fushimi Sake Kura Koji, just a short walk from Keihan Fushimi-Momoyama Station. The main store is in Gion and there is another branch in Kiyamachi. Fushimi Sake Kura Koji offers over 120 brands of Fushimi sake and a variety of local sake and dishes can be enjoyed at the "sake breweries" and 8 other "delicious specialty shops". The "Monosen" that I visited this time is one of these shops.
- Chicken Ramen 850 yen
- Vegetable Ramen 800 yen
- Sake Chicken Ramen 950 yen
- Miso Chicken Ramen 900 yen
- Miso Vegetable Ramen 850 yen
- Sake Lees Cold Noodles 950 yen
- Cold Sesame Tan Tan Noodles 990 yen
- White Sesame Tan Tan Noodles 990 yen
- Mon-Tetsu 950 yen
- Curry Ramen 950 yen
- Sake Lees Ramen 950 yen
- Cold Tan Tan Noodles 990 yen
In addition to ramen, there are also a variety of other dishes and drinks available, utilizing the know-how from when the place used to be a yakitori izakaya. On weekdays at lunchtime, there is a delivery menu where you can order from other shops in Fushimi Sake Kura Koji. As for services, on weekdays at lunchtime, you can get free extra noodles (full or half serving), which is a nice bonus.
I tried the Sake Lees Ramen for the authentic taste of Fushimi sake. There were 8 different sake lees to choose from, and I chose the "Tomio" which had a mild sake flavor but a strong lees taste. The Chicken Ramen was also delicious, with a rich chicken soup base and plenty of vegetables.
Overall, I highly recommend trying the Sake Lees Ramen to experience the authentic flavor and aroma of sake lees.

This is a new food stall village located in the traditional shopping street of Momoyama Fushimi. There are various shops here, but I decided to try the ramen shop for a light meal. Many customers come here for the sake, but I tried the sake lees ramen, which has sake lees in the soup. In contrast, I also ordered a simple vegetable ramen. Looking at the photos, they appear rich yet light. The sake lees ramen offers a unique feature where you can choose from 8 different sake lees from various sake breweries. It's hard to tell the difference, so I would recommend asking for extra sake lees as a topping.

I came back to my hometown and decided to try the sake kasu ramen shop that I had been curious about. Unfortunately, I couldn't get any guidance when I entered the shop, which was a bit disappointing. The shop is a bit hard to navigate as there are other shops inside as well. However, the ramen itself was really good!

From April to May, the serial project will be "2022 Ramen 30 Match Season 2". Last time, half of the content was about Tokyo, but this time it's back to the usual Kansai theme. In this installment, we visited "Ramen Monosen Fushimizu Sake Brewery Shop" in Fushimi Momoyama, Kyoto. This shop offers a unique sake lees ramen that is characteristic of Fushimi. We ordered the special ramen, a rich chicken and seafood broth ramen priced at 900 yen.

While strolling around Fushimi, I stumbled upon Fushimi Sake Brewery Street. Inside, there were various eateries mixed together, giving off a nostalgic atmosphere like a street stall. It was chilly, so I decided to try the ramen at Monzen-san's shop. The sake lees ramen caught my eye, which was quite unique. I was pleased to be able to choose the sake lees from the brewery. I opted for the balanced Toyokoso. I had some doubts about "ramen with sake lees," but when I tried it, the sake lees really complemented the chicken broth ramen well. The addition of sake lees to the sweet chicken broth soup enhanced its depth, creating a flavor that never gets boring. Feeling adventurous, I enjoyed the ramen with some sake. Surprisingly, the sake lees ramen paired incredibly well with the sake. I used to think that sake wouldn't go well with greasy food, but thanks to the sake lees, it served as a perfect accompaniment to the sake. As I sipped the soup and sake together, I ended up finishing the soup completely. A ramen that opened up new perspectives! It was a delightful encounter!

Located in Fushimi Sake Brewery Street, this ramen shop is famous for their ramen made with sake lees. Recommended dishes include the assorted appetizers (yuzu daikon, potato salad, pork-wrapped daikon) and the sake chicken ramen. The ramen features a broth made with sake lees and chicken, combining a light yet flavorful taste with a hint of richness. The thin straight noodles pair well with the broth, creating a delicious combination.

I visited the restaurant around 12:15 on Sunday. I was seated right away. I ordered the Sake Kasu Ramen for 900 yen. I could choose from three types with a strong sake flavor (Kizakura, Tsuki no Katsura, Toyohuku) and three types with a milder sake flavor (Tomio, Eikun, Miyatsuru). It was delicious! I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't drink much due to the high salt content. The noodles were good, but I wish there was an option for firmer noodles. The combination of carrots, daikon, and green onions in the soup was excellent. Although there was no menma, I think it would have been a great addition if there was a mild-flavored menma topping. I'm not a big fan of menma, but I would definitely order it if it was available as a topping. It seemed like it would have paired well with the ramen.

This is a ramen restaurant located inside the Fushimizu Sake Brewery in the Fushimi Otemon area of Kyoto. I have visited this brewery before and tried a tasting flight of 18 different types of sake. The sake lees ramen at this restaurant allows you to choose from 8 different brewery's sake lees to customize your order. It's a bit overwhelming to have to choose, but necessary in order to enjoy the ramen. The price is the same for all options at 900 yen. When the ramen is served, it looks visually appealing, but at first, the strong sake aroma may be off-putting. However, as you eat, you start to get used to it and can enjoy the unique flavors. It's not something you would necessarily call delicious, but it's an interesting and rare experience to try in touristy Kyoto.

This is a ramen shop located in a small alley in the Fushui Sake Brewery Alley. They serve ramen made with various sake lees from different breweries. This was my second time visiting. I went there in the early afternoon. There are two tables and a counter in the alleyway, and even though it's a ramen shop, you can order food while sitting at those seats as long as it's from a shop within the sake brewery alley. They also offer sake tasting, and with the lifting of COVID restrictions, it was quite lively. In addition to sake lees ramen, they also have chicken broth ramen for those who are not fond of sake lees. The brewery that provides the sake lees offers options with varying levels of sake lees flavor, which is quite enjoyable. The only downside is that the food takes a bit long to come out. The gyoza arrived after the beer I ordered had lost its carbonation. Then the ramen came out a while later. My son commented, "With so many options, it's bound to take time," showing more maturity than me. The ramen is delicious with thin noodles and a creamy sake lees soup that blends well. The chashu is made with chicken instead of pork, and it complements the soup nicely. As for the gyoza, it's their specialty, but I found it to be average. The beer was decent, leaning towards being premium. It wasn't as good as expected as it had cooled down while waiting for the gyoza and ramen. I'll definitely come back when I crave sake lees ramen again. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop located on Fushui Sake Brewery Alley. They have a wide variety of hearty menu items such as ramen, gyoza, and fried rice, which are perfect to enjoy with drinks. Even if you go to other shops, you can order from here for delivery. The taste is good overall, and it's a place I would like to order delivery from again.

I visited during lunch on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. There were a few customers before me. It had a food court feel that highlighted Fushimi sake, but due to the state of emergency, alcohol couldn't be served, so it felt quiet and lonely. I was seated at a counter with available seats after a short wait. I ordered the sake kasu ramen. I was told I could choose the type of sake kasu, and I went with Tamano Hikari, which was thick. The soup had a taste similar to kasujiru and coated the noodles well. It was indeed thick. The flavor was easy to eat. It felt like a Fushimi ramen, which was nice!

A ramen restaurant with sake lees ramen as its signature dish. Located in a two-story mansion with multiple stores, this restaurant is situated in a corner on the first floor. Today's menu: Black Sesame Tan Tan Men ¥950. The sesame aroma was wonderful. I regret not ordering the classic menu, but it was delicious, so all is well.
