On January 18th (Wednesday), I made a reservation and visited the restaurant with one other person. We reserved the "Donabe steamed dish and sixteen-color one-bite tempura set." This set includes sixteen one-bite tempura skewers, donabe steamed dish, rice, pickles, and plum wine jelly. The price is 3,300 yen (including tax). After being seated, the staff explained the ordering process, where we could choose our preferred drink. As it suddenly started drizzling outside and got cold, I asked for a warm tea. The tempura set includes eight fixed tempura skewers (tofu skin, pumpkin, shiitake mushroom, okra, onion, sweet potato, shishito pepper, eggplant) that cannot be changed. The remaining eight tempura skewers can be chosen from seasonal options. I cannot order more than two skewers of the same ingredient. I ordered the following seasonal tempura skewers: shiso leaf, lotus root, sea bream, salmon, shrimp, smelt fish, octopus, red snow crab, monkfish, broccoli, and Chinese yam. The tempura skewers were delicious with a crispy coating, served with honey tempura sauce, matcha salt, sea salt, and yuzu chili salt. The donabe steamed dish included Kyoto red chicken meatballs, Kyoto tofu, white leeks, and shimeji mushrooms, served with ponzu sauce. The flavor of the sea bream broth was exceptional, and it was recommended to pour it over rice topped with tempura for a tempura rice dish. For dessert, we were served homemade plum wine jelly, which was light and refreshing. After paying at the register, we were given a choice of one type of salt as a souvenir. All three choices were delicious, and I look forward to enjoying tempura at home. It was my first visit, but reserving this restaurant was the right choice. The "Donabe steamed dish and sixteen-color one-bite tempura set" was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
