I visited for lunch. The view of the boat houses was very beautiful. The boat house set meal came with simmered fish and sashimi, and the simmered fish was flounder. It was cooked with ginger and tasted delicious with the flavor of the fish. I would like to try the squid bowl next time. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the restaurant called "Aburaya" in Ine, Kyoto to try the brand oysters "Natsume" from Ine. I also had the seafood bowl that I had been wanting to try for a while. Since it was a weekday, there were not many people and I was able to get in quickly, but on weekends, there can be a long line at this restaurant. The seafood bowl had fresh and thick slices of fish, with a satisfying and flavorful taste. The "Natsume" oysters had a mild and smooth flavor, and I ended up ordering another one. I often come to the Ine area for fishing during this season, so I would like to come back for another indulgence sometime.

When I asked the staff at Ine Town Tourist Information Center to recommend a seafood lunch restaurant, they directed me to one located on the first floor of Funaya no Sato, a roadside station. Even though it was before opening hours, there were already customers lining up. They serve a variety of fresh fish depending on the season. The seafood bowl was not only delicious but also surprisingly generous in portion and presentation. I also enjoyed the view of Ine Bay from the counter seats.

This restaurant is located at the Michi-no-Eki Funaya no Sato Ine. On this day, it was raining and I hesitated before entering, but a group of people arrived before me. The restaurant has 3 tables in the tatami room and the rest are at the counter. There is no view from inside the building, but it felt safe for families with children because of the tatami seating. I ordered the Aoshima set meal, and the simmered sea bass was delicious and tender. The grilled fish and sashimi were also tasty, and I felt like I was enjoying a good amount of seafood after a long time. The price was 2500 yen, which may be a bit high for lunch, but considering the portion size, taste, and location, I thought it was reasonable!

The home-cooked dishes at the boat house are simple, with boiled and grilled fish that are neither delicious nor bad. The sashimi was said to be fresh by my companion. The appetizers were a bit difficult to evaluate, with the squid being chewy but slimy, making it hard to praise. The 800 yen rock oysters were just average. Since the restaurant is on the first floor, the view is not good unless you are seated by the window.

I visited the optional tour on the Asuka II cruise ship and the food was delicious, especially the dried sea bass was outstanding. However, the portions were too large, almost overwhelming. My husband even had to rely on stomach medicine. We had to give up on the Chinese dinner we were looking forward to because of this. The operation was also a bit disorganized, with staff having to stop and ask the kitchen about ingredients, causing delays in serving. I suggested assigning a veteran staff member to supervise the young staff for smoother service. If the portions were smaller, the experience would have been much better. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. The locals were probably too excited about having cruise ship guests, which may have affected the service. We were grateful for the warm send-off with waving flags when we left. Thank you!

I used to ride my bike here every week, but I haven't been coming as often lately. The atmosphere is great, but it's not the same looking through the window. I tried the grilled fish set meal for 1,800 yen, which included two types of grilled fish prepared differently, three kinds of sashimi, two small side dishes, pickles, and miso soup. Everything was delicious and definitely worth the 1,800 yen!

I visited for lunch and had the sashimi set for 1800 yen, I think? I also had the rock oysters for 800 yen. They were really fresh and delicious, with a nice oily texture. The prices were a bit on the higher side, probably due to the location. It's understandable, but it might make you chuckle when you see the bill, especially if you're with your family.

In the middle of Michi-no-Eki Funaya-no-Sato, there is a seafood restaurant called Aburaya-san. It seems like there is always a line, but if you go a little before opening, you can get in easily. They offer seafood bowls and fish set meals, but I recommend the seafood bowl. The freshness of the seafood and the delicious vinegar rice made for a satisfying seafood bowl. I would like to go again.

Last year, I couldn't forget the delicious Kinbuna I ate, so I went in search of tasty yellowtail, and ended up at this restaurant. It's located on the first floor of the Funaya-no-Sato roadside station. Since the yellowtail shabu-shabu I had at the second-floor restaurant Funaya was amazing, I had high expectations for this place too! It's a small restaurant with only a counter, serving traditional Japanese cuisine. When I arrived, there were no other customers, but soon more people started coming in. This time, I ordered the yellowtail rice bowl. As soon as I placed my order, a splendid yellowtail was brought out on a cutting board! The impressive yellowtail was quickly prepared before me. Before I knew it, the yellowtail rice bowl arrived. It was loaded with a generous amount of beautifully colored Kinbuna, looking like the fat was about to melt away! I was ecstatic! The thick slices of yellowtail covered the rice so much that you couldn't even see it! When you put a piece of this thick yellowtail in your mouth, it felt like it was melting away! It was so fatty and tender! There was no fishy smell at all, and the fat from the farmed yellowtail wasn't overpowering, just delicious! It truly lived up to its reputation as a branded yellowtail. It felt like I was eating fatty tuna the whole time, such a blissful moment! I am happy to have been able to enjoy delicious yellowtail this year as well. I savored the tasty yellowtail with a view of Funaya in the background. Thank you for the delicious meal. Yellowtail rice bowl 2000 yen.

I visited Ine Funaya in Kyoto by the sea for the first time. I went to "Oyaya," a restaurant at the Michi-no-Eki "Funaya no Sato Ine" overlooking Ine Bay. I had the Aoshima set meal, which is a delicious seafood meal unique to the fishing port. The sashimi, simmered fish, grilled fish were all very fresh and the cost performance was excellent. Next time, I will challenge the seafood bowl.

I was planning to go to a seafood bowl restaurant by the boat house, but the road was narrow and there was no parking space, so I ended up going to a roadside station. At this popular restaurant I visited last minute, there was a line so I had to wait a bit. (This place is also ranked 1st in Ine Town on Tabelog!) I ordered the simmered fish set meal. I think it was mackerel on that day. I was happy because I had never eaten simmered fish before! The simmered fish was a bit dry, but still delicious. The sashimi was so fresh that it was chewy and crunchy. The sweet and sour squid as a side dish was incredibly delicious. My partner ordered the grilled fish set meal, but they said it was a bit tough, so they preferred the simmered fish set meal. There was also a sashimi set meal, but since sashimi comes with other set meals, the simmered fish set meal felt like a better deal and is recommended. The tea is self-service.

I visited for lunch! There was a long line due to the consecutive holidays. We wrote our name on the waiting sheet and waited for about an hour to get inside. There is a counter and a tatami room inside. - Order - Grilled oysters: 800 yen Seafood bowl: 2000 yen The grilled oysters were big and light. You can see the oyster farm right in front of you, so you can feel like you're eating local produce. The seafood bowl had seafood from this nearby sea! Well, not all of it was from here... but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Ine, Yosa District, Kyoto Prefecture♡ Aoshima Set Meal: 2500 yen. A lunch full of delicious fish, the best ever! The price is a bit high, but the quality of the fresh fish makes it worth it. I found this restaurant at a roadside station while driving with friends. The sea bream bowl and seafood bowl looked delicious. We had to wait for a few people, but we were called in within 30 minutes and seated in a tatami room. The seafood bowl cost 2000 yen. It was colorful and full of volume with sea bream and other seafood, and it was delicious. The miso soup also had fish in it, and the broth was rich and satisfying. The pickles were also delicious, and they were the kind that I like.

I had the seafood bowl lunch (2,000 yen) at the restaurant in "Michi-no-Eki Funaya no Sato Ine". I wasn't expecting much since it caters to tourists, but it was really good! There are several dining options at the roadside station, but this one seemed the best. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Ine Bay from the roadside station.

At the Michi-no-Eki Ine no Funaya, a famous seafood restaurant called Aburaya is located on a high platform. We had a delicious lunch there, and my wife was particularly interested in trying the locally produced rock oysters. I'm not a big fan of oysters, so I gave most of them to my wife. However, I could see why they were recommended as they were indeed delicious, with a taste of the sea even without any seasoning.

On May 25th, my second activity was heading north from Amanohashidate to Ine no Funaya. It took about 20 minutes by car to get there. The roads were narrow, but there were stylish shops scattered around. Unfortunately, most of them were closed, but I found a shop called Abura-ya inside the Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). It's located on a slightly elevated area above the boat houses, so it's easy to spot. For lunch, I chose the Aoshima set meal, which includes appetizers, sashimi, simmered fish, grilled fish, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The sashimi included amberjack, sea bream, Spanish mackerel, and squid. The simmered fish was rockfish, and the grilled fish was mackerel. Everything was delicious. After lunch, I headed south.

I visited Kyoto and Amanohashidate, which I had always wanted to visit. Instead of driving, I took the Kyoto Tango Railway, a boat, and a bus, which took quite a long time even from Fukuchiyama. There were various destinations, but first I headed to the farthest one, Ine. I missed the bus stop for Ine and had to ask the driver for help. He kindly stopped the bus and gave me detailed directions as there were no taxis available in that area. It took me about 20 minutes to walk back to the roadside station. The place was crowded, probably because many shops were closed. The menu only had two options: seafood bowl and set meal. I chose the seafood bowl, which was priced at 2000 yen. It was filled with thick slices of fresh fish like yellowtail and bonito, along with sweet shrimp. Although delicious, it was a bit pricey due to being a tourist spot. My companion didn't like sashimi, so they requested a sashimi-free set meal. They were served a meal with grilled and simmered fish, which was a good alternative. The receipt showed a discount from 2500 yen to 1500 yen. Next to the restaurant, there was an observation deck with a stunning view of the boat houses. The sparkling sea looked like a jewel, and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like time stood still. It's definitely worth a visit. According to the guide on the sightseeing boat, Ine town has been a setting for popular dramas and movies. The town's geography protects it from large waves even during typhoons. Due to the current situation, there were fewer tourists, allowing us to enjoy the tranquil boat houses. It was a great time to visit, and we were lucky to have good weather. Unfortunately, the Akamatsu train that I had reserved was unexpectedly canceled, but the round-trip pass was very useful. It was a bit disappointing to see many closed shops in the area.

In Ine Town on the Tango Peninsula, known for its boat house scenery, there is a famous seafood bowl restaurant. Among the various seafood bowl menus in this area, the seafood bowl at Aburaya caught my eye. Despite also lining up in Izushi, the wait here was even longer... (about 1 hour on a weekday). The seafood bowl is not vulgarly overflowing but is beautifully and three-dimensionally arranged, creating a visually striking presentation. The thickly sliced sashimi is very impressive with a strong presence of fish when you take a bite. The white fish includes Tai and natural Hamachi, as well as seared Sawara and salmon. Additionally, it also includes sweet shrimp, salmon roe, and squid, making it a luxurious and flavorful seafood bowl. I could use a beer with this... Well, sake might also be enjoyable. This small seafood restaurant on the first floor of the roadside station is a must-visit, although it may be disappointing for drivers who have to rely on cars.
